The moments that define us are the ones we least expect to happen.
James Gibson spent his life trying to find his place in the world. The child of a feckless mother, abandoned as a boy, he was raised by his grandfather, only to lose him when he most needed him. Angry at the world, he struggles to find his path. Then he meets Catherine Graham.
Catherine "Cat" Graham is the hellion of her family, the youngest sister of eight children. She has bucked tradition all her life, riding horses like man, wearing trousers, and refusing all femininity except for her long blonde locks. She isn't impressed by cowboy James Gibson, no matter how he made her toes curl when he kissed her.
When danger threatens both the Gibsons and the Grahams, James and Cat have to set aside their acrimony. Together they fight for those they love, and in the process find the other half of their souls.

Book #7 of the Circle Eight series is about the youngest girl of the Graham family. She falls in love with James but their relationship starts off with the two of them not liking each other very much!! This was another book full of adventure, and I'm sad that the next book is the last of the siblings. I have thoroughly enjoyed the Graham family, and with the addition of the Gibson family, it makes this series almost perfect!!!!
Catherine Graham's love for her horses takes her on a dangerous adventure, but out of guilt James is sent to bring Catherine home. Then the dangerous adventure for both includes, ugly bad guys, revelation of secrets and an introduction to a new intriguing character. I liked the story, but wasn't crazy about the unromantic and TMI sex scenes. Could've been better.
James Gibson & Catherine/Cat Graham I think this one was my favorite. Cat is all man. she wears pants and goes her own way. she is in charge of the horses for the ranch and when they are stolen she is livid. James is told to go find her and bring her own but she is hell bent on finding them and bringing them back. Cat confounds James and can't understand his attraction to her. Their adventure is dangerous but it gives them both a chance to see who they really are to one another. Turns out that the man behind the horse theft is the evil man who haunts Ben's past. she packs so much story in a small book. Well written and exciting.
I just can’t get enough of this family! I’ve been binge-reading the whole series. This one definitely had me to the verge of tears. I could feel the pain and the love Cat has for her horses; her suffering hurt me deeply. She’s the first hellion I don’t dislike. On the other hand James is a lonely, sensitive man who really admires the woman he falls for. The chemistry between them is palpable, the sex is hotter than in other books in the series, and both of them are charming characters. I don’t give them a 5 star rating because there are some things unsolved that I’d have liked to know.
Cat has never been a regular girl. She wears trousers, cusses worse than any any man and is better with horses than most men could ever dream of being. Cat loves horses and her family but then she meets James...
James doesn't want a wife and avoids Cat at all costs but when someone threatens what Cat holds dear he will risk everything to help her and in the process save them both.
Love has returned to The Circle Eight are you ready for the ride?
I was excited for James because I wanted Cat's story. I love Emma Lang/Beth Williamson and EVERYTHING is auto buy so I am shocked to have to provide anything less than a 5 on this book. There were just some inconsistencies I couldn't ignore. Overall though a great book and I'm excited for Ben's story because, well ... that brings the Circle 8 full circle.
Emma Lang writes with excitement that makes you read until you can't read any more. I read until my eyes hurt. I hope she writes another Circle Eight, let me know. Great reading!
