Rover: True stories of a dog and his family

Rate this book
Rover is the true-life story of a courageous dog and the family he loved. His adventures and accomplishments as one of the greatest dogs that ever lived are still told by the people that knew him. This book is only part of Rover's life and the many stories told about him.

Remarkably intelligent, Old Rover seemed able to read your mind. Rover hunted meat for the family table, worked our cattle, and on many occasions he placed himself between real danger and one of the family. Intelligence, courage, and loyalty were only a few of this great animal's characteristics. He was more than a dog to us; he was part of our family. This book will make you smile, then laugh as you turn the pages of time back sixty years to the good old days. You will enjoy the true stories of a remarkable dog and his family in southern rural Oklahoma.

An AD Novel About A Family Dog/Rover

AD has over a novel about the stories he was told by h u s family over a dog named Rover. River was a member of the family that didn't know he was a dog. The troubles he caused that were bad were far out weighed by the good. He was lived by all, but had one particular human the he kept for a pal. The relationship between a bit and his dog cannot be weighed human to human, but only by love. This is an excellent read for the genre.....DEHS

The book consist of 17 chapters. Each chapter is a story by its self. Rover appears in each chapter but he's not the main character. The book was enjoyable to me because I grew up much the same way. Luckily I didn't have an uncle as mean as R.C..

Rover

Spent a day reading this and enjoyed it so much. Couldn’t put the book down. The most refreshing book I’ve read in a long time. Times have changed but our love of family and dogs have not.
