I read the grumpy skeptic's fortune in the bottom of a coffee cup. The grounds say he'll find true love, but I tell him to expect a flirty fall fling…

In my defense, he thinks I'm a fraud and made it clear he doesn't believe in l-o-v-e. I try to forget him, but he keeps appearing wherever I go. Then he offers me five grand per hour to break a family curse he swears is real. Considering I need the money to repair the roof of my haunted manor, I help him.

Our sessions end before the autumn equinox, and instead of walking away he proposes a new deal: be each other's until Halloween. Against my better judgment, I agree, but with strict rules.

Between sneaking around at the apple orchard and finding each other in the hay maze, I catch myself not wanting to keep him my dirty little secret. The town's meddling matchmakers don't know their beloved Jamie is Jameson Cross, a billionaire in hiding. Or that he's in my bed every night. When the paparazzi track him down and the tabloids leak that he's dating a witch, his bags are already packed for New York.

The cup said he'd find his forever, and I don't believe it's me. Magically, the stubborn man who's never been able to commit to anyone longer than thirty days is determined to prove me wrong.

And I think the universe might be on his side. Pfft.

“You’re a fantasy, Blaire.”

I can’t stress to y’all enough that no one, NO ONE, does a fall romance like Lyra Parish!

“Careful, sweetheart. I’m trying to be a gentleman, and you’re making it impossible.”

She’s an absolute QUEEN of nailing the fall aesthetic. So while I might be currently melting alive in the Texas heat, my SOUL was immersed in the best fall vibes.

Not only is this literally, a flirty fall fling, it’s also a witchy romance! Sisters! Unite! Witches are such an icon for powerful women and that truly captures who our FMC is. I adored Blaire and wish I could be besties with her and move into a haunted house!

“I’ve closed nine-figure deals and skated in front of twenty thousand people. None of it ever gave me satisfaction like pleasing her does.”

Our grumpy billionaire skeptic, Jamie? He was so wonderfully down bad for Blaire. For a man who has never wanted a relationship to last longer than 30 days, this man was putting in WORK to have Blaire forever.

“If the world wants to watch, they can take a seat while I eat her for dessert.”

These two were ferallllllll for each other. Truly this book lived up to Lyra’s normal melt your face off level of spice! This man catered to her every want & desire! ❤️‍🔥🥵

“Oh, sweetheart. We’re just getting started. Let your wild side out. Be greedy, Blaire. Take whatever you want when we’re together.”

This new series is going to be my new favorite by this author, I just know it! I can’t wait to get Blaire’s friends stories!

If you are READY for fall you seriously have to read this book!

This was such a fun, spicy, and cozy fall read! 🍂🎃 I absolutely loved all the witchy, Halloween vibes, the small-town setting, and the chemistry between Blaire and Jamie.

Blaire and Jamie were such a fun pairing! Their banter, undeniable chemistry, and the secret “Flirty Fall Fling” had me completely invested. I loved watching their relationship turn into something neither of them expected, with plenty of spice along the way. 🔥

And can we talk about Charlie the cat?! 🐈‍⬛ I absolutely loved him and every scene he was in!

The characters were lovable, the romance was fun, and the whole story gave me exactly the cozy, spicy Halloween read I was looking for. 🍁🎃🔥

Such a great start to the series and perfect for anyone who loves witchy romances, grumpy X sunshine, secret flings, small-town vibes, and a whole lot of fall magic!

This book begins in Pine Haven near Cozy Creek, Colorado, with an inherited historic landmark, a haunted house, witchy secrets, and all the autumn charm you could possibly want. Blaire works alongside her best friends, Josie and Winter, and being a gifted witch runs in her family. Yup, I’m already hooked and can’t wait to see where this goes! 🍂✨🔮

Jamie, meanwhile, is on a mandated retreat in Colorado after his playboy lifestyle has become a little too much for the board of his sports foundation. He is supposed to commune with nature, relax, unwind, and most importantly, stay out of the board’s way. Unfortunately for Jamie, he is going stir crazy.

The kitschy autumn vibes in this book are off the charts. 🍂 This gets intriguing fast as Blaire’s abilities and Jamie’s openness are both called into question, although it is strange seeing Blaire doubt herself when she is clearly such a gifted witch.

From middle of the night séances to mysterious rules, I really like where this is going. In true Queen of Autumn fashion, the vibes are not disappointing at all, and neither is the connection between Blaire and Jamie. Oh, this gets steamy, and I am here for it. 🔥

Coffee, spells, and all manner of witchy things give this book so much cozy charm. Between the autumn festival, cozy moments, small town gossip, and billionaire charm, I am absolutely swooning over this storyline. There is so much autumn magic packed into this book that this story alone could get you into all the fall feels.

OMG, I wish I could quote this book because that part was twisted and juicy and added so many more layers to this fall fling. 👀 This story goes past steamy and straight into sizzling territory. I love how this fling turns into so much more, and the ending had me smiling and wanting to devour the next book.

This was the perfect autumn read, with romance, witchcraft, small town charm, and a heaping dash of joy. 🍁✨

I loved everything about this story, from the tropes to the way it unfolded. I loved Jamie, especially since I already knew him from the other books, and I absolutely adored Blaire. She was perfectly portrayed, and I loved watching her navigate everything that came her way.

I loved all the autumn vibes, the small town charm, and especially the moments that really made this story shine. I was completely obsessed with these characters and praying for no last act breakup, and thankfully it came true! 🙌 That made this book even better.

This is a book I would love to reread again and again every October. 🎃🍂 And have you seen the special edition with those sprayed edges? Swoon. 😍

I am very thankful to receive an arc copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

I already have a feeling this new series is going to become a new favorite from Ms. Lyra. You guys know I’m an absolute sucker for a seasonal read, and this one delivered everything I wanted for the perfect start to my fall reading: witchy vibes, cozy magic, plenty of spice, lovable characters, and a romance that had me smiling more than once.

Blaire and Jamie were such a fun rom-com pairing. Their chemistry, banter, and undeniable pull toward each other made them the kind of couple you can’t help but root for and by the end, I was definitely left wanting more.

Two things especially stood out to me.

First, I loved how the magical elements were written into the story without making it unnecessarily complicated. The witchcraft, coffee readings, spell work, haunted house, and whispers of curses all bring this wonderfully eerie, whimsical atmosphere, but they never overshadow the romance. The magic feels like seasoning rather than the entire meal, adding just enough charm to make the story feel distinctly autumnal.

Second, there’s so much more heart here than I expected. Beneath the humor, spice, and lighthearted moments, both of our MMCs are carrying emotional baggage from their pasts. Their struggles give the story a little more weight without taking away from its fun, cozy nature. What starts as something that could have easily been just a fling gradually becomes something much more meaningful, a story about learning to trust again, allowing yourself to hope, and finding the courage to open your heart to love.

And honestly? That’s what made this one work so well for me. The magic sets the mood, the romance brings the heat, but it’s the emotional heart underneath it all that makes Blaire and Jamie’s story linger.

A cozy, witchy, spicy little escape that feels like fall in book form—and exactly the kind of seasonal read I was craving.

Thank you Lyra Parish for another fun, romance story arc with some characters from other books series I love!

Summary:
Blair is a generational witch who owns the Charmed Cauldron Shop in the small town of Pine Haven, Colorado, and is preparing for another fall season. Jameson “Jamie” Cross escapes his big-city problems for the quiet Colorado town, where he soon crosses paths with Blair. He offers her fifty grand to help break a family curse, but once the deal is fulfilled, Jamie isn’t ready to walk away. Instead, he proposes they become each other’s flirty fall fling until Halloween night.

Thoughts:
•This has to be one of my most favorite covers EVER of Lyra’s books!
•I have never read a Halloween-themed romance before, so this was a huge first for me—and Lyra knocked it out of the park!!
•Blair…I really enjoyed her character and how she stays true to herself and her family’s history.
•I love that the MMC is Jameson Cross! I loved getting to know him in the Billionaire Situation series. The Hockey Situation is one of my top favorites from the series, and I was always hoping we’d get to see more of Jameson. I also loved seeing some familiar characters from past stories pop up in this book!
•Since this is my first witch-themed book, I was nervous going in, but Lyra wrote everything in such a fun and loving way that I was really able to enjoy the story and the chemistry between Jamie and Blair. There was the perfect amount of spells, hexes, etc. for me, and I’ll definitely be reading more books with witchy/Halloween vibes.
•I can’t wait to see how the second book in this series pans out!

You guys know I am a sucker for a seasonal read!! This was the perfect cozy fall book with all the witchy vibes, spicy romance, and lovable characters!! The perfect start to my fall reading.

I was absolutely obsessed with Blaire & Jamie! Witchy heroine meets a grumpy man who is skeptical of her readings. These two had my heart. The chemistry, the banter, and the fun storyline between them was just perfect! Both of these characters are a little jaded from their pasts and not super open to love. Watching these two fall & the unique storyline behind their romance, just had me giggling, swooning, and loving every second!!

I am no stranger to the Lyra universe & this one gave me so many little snippets & peaks from other books that just made me so happy!! Goodness I cannot wait for what else is to come!!

If you love witchy readings, spell casting, curse breaking, haunted mansion vibes and a swoony romance, this will absolutely be for you! The perfect new addition for your fall TBR!!

Thank you Lyra for the early arc of this book!

DEVOURED IT! I absolutely loved this book! Blaire and Jamie were a great romcom couple that will have you wanting more.
Jamie goes to Pine Haven thanks to his brother Patterson offering him his place and needing a break from New York and his job.
There he meets our favourite witch Blaire who gives him a coffee reading and see’s true love but tells him he will have a flirty fling.
The chemistry between these two was amazing and you know there is no fall fling with these two - it’s L O V E!!
You cannot help but love them both in this book and their fated love match. Loved meeting Jamie again and having his story after the hockey situation and Blaire’s story after Fall I Want!
Get ready for this flirty fall book that will have you swooning, lol-ing and waiting on the edge of your seat to see what happens next.
Thank you so much to Lyra and her team for this eARC in exchange for my honest review

A new Amazing book by Lyra!
I have been a fan since day one and her books keep getting better 🧡

“If I were asked if I wanted to relive these moments with you a thousand more times, I’d say yes in a heartbeat.”

I have been looking forward to Blair’s story after reading Fall I want and The Hookup Situation (these are different series but are about her best friends Autumn and Julie)

This book has the right amount of fall vibes, witchy vibes, romance, smut and cameo’s from past and future books.
The setting in the Manor, the cabin, the shop and more made me feel I was visiting Pine Haven.

“Love makes people do wild things. But when it’s the real deal, it’s worth it. Always.”

I really liked both Blair and Jamie. They are a great match even though they have so trouble accepting it.

“This has been the best fall of my life.”

This was the first fall themed book of 2026 I have read and there will be many more to come!

I received an early copy of this book to review for my honest opinion.

Paranormal 🎃
Small town vibes 🎃
Halloween vibes 🎃
Secret flings 🎃
Grumpy x Sunshine 🎃
Spicy 🌶️ 🎃

My first fall read of the season and I’m so happy with it! First off, the cover is literal perfection. I loved the idea of this, I don’t think I’ve actually read anything with a fling in it! At least not how this was done.

All the characters were so likable, even the side characters and Sir Charles 🐈 the little fella was an MVP.

This was cozy, cute and witchy. There was nothing not to like. I’m a sucker for a small town romance & if said town has a clock tower - you’ve won me over. The fall festival just screamed small town vibes.

The way the ending set up for book 2 was absolutely amazing. I’m so excited for it!

If autumn could be bottled into a romance novel, it would probably look a lot like Flirty Fall Fling. This book had everything I want in a fall read: a charming small town, witchy vibes, a haunted manor, cozy October atmosphere, hilarious banter, and a romance that had me grinning from start to finish.

From the first chapter, I was completely pulled into Pine Haven. The town feels like the kind of place you'd want to visit every autumn, filled with seasonal festivals, charming locals, spooky traditions, and just enough magic to make you wonder if fate might actually be real. Lyra Parish absolutely nails the cozy fall aesthetic without letting it overshadow the story.

Blaire was an easy heroine to love. After inheriting her aunt's apothecary and haunted manor, she's doing her best to embrace her new role as Pine Haven's resident witch. She's confident, independent, a little chaotic, and completely unapologetic about who she is. I loved that she never tries to make herself smaller for anyone, even when people question her beliefs or her gift.

Then there's Jamie.

Honestly, I wasn't prepared for how much I would love him. On paper, he's the last person you'd expect to fall headfirst into a witchy small-town romance. He's wealthy, skeptical, and hiding out from a life he's desperate to escape. But beneath all that is a genuinely sweet man who ends up falling so hard that it was impossible not to swoon.

Their first meeting was one of my favorite parts of the book. What starts as a coffee reading quickly turns into something far more interesting, and from there the chemistry between them is undeniable. Their banter had me laughing throughout the book, and every interaction felt effortless and fun. They challenge each other, tease each other, and somehow manage to make even the most ridiculous situations feel romantic.

One thing I really appreciated was that while the book leans into magical elements, it never becomes overly complicated. The witchcraft, coffee readings, spell work, haunted house, and talk of curses all add charm and atmosphere without taking over the story. Instead, they become part of what brings Blaire and Jamie together.

And speaking of bringing people together, Charlie the cat absolutely deserves his own fan club. Every scene involving him was a delight, and more than once he completely stole the spotlight. I don't think I've fallen this hard for a fictional cat in a long time.

The romance itself was addictive. What begins as a supposedly temporary arrangement slowly becomes something far more meaningful. Watching Jamie and Blaire convince themselves that this is just a fling while everyone around them can clearly see where things are headed was incredibly entertaining. The tension, longing, and emotional build-up felt natural, and when the romance finally deepened, it felt well-earned.

Another thing I loved was how connected the world feels. If you've read other Lyra Parish books, you'll appreciate the little cameos and references sprinkled throughout the story. But even as someone jumping into this series, I never felt lost. The book works perfectly as a standalone while still making me curious about future stories.

What surprised me most was how much heart the story had beneath the humor and spice. Both Blaire and Jamie carry emotional baggage from their pasts, and while the book stays light and fun overall, their individual struggles add depth to the romance. It becomes less about a simple fling and more about two people learning to trust, hope, and open themselves up to love again.

By the time I reached the final pages, I wasn't ready to leave Pine Haven. The cozy atmosphere, lovable cast, and magical touches made this one of those books that feels like a warm blanket and a pumpkin spice latte wrapped into a story.

If you enjoy: 🎃 Witchy romances
🍂 Small-town fall settings
🏡 Haunted houses
🔥 Plenty of chemistry and spice
💛 He falls first (and harder)
✨ Soulmate vibes
🐈‍⬛ Scene-stealing pets
🍁 Cozy autumn aesthetics

...then Flirty Fall Fling absolutely deserves a spot on your fall TBR.

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Charming, magical, spicy, and full of autumn warmth, this was the perfect book to kick off spooky season. I came for the witchy vibes and stayed for Blaire, Jamie, Charlie the cat, and a romance that had me smiling nonstop. 🎃✨🍂📖💕

A big Thanks so Lyra for this ARC!!

~ plot ~

After the death of her Aunt, Blaire moves to the small-town of Pine Haven to carry on her work as the resident witch. When secret billionaire and huge skeptic Jamie sits down for a coffee reading as a dare, they unexpectedly find themselves striking a deal.
Blaire needs money to fix up her newly inherited haunted manor and despite being a skeptic, Jamie firmly believes he has a family curse that Blaire could help break.
However when their initial agreement ends, Jamie just can’t seem to let go. So, with a few changes to the rules, the pair agree to become each other’s until Halloween.

But will a Flirty Fall Fling be enough for them or are they destined for more?

~ review ~

Flirty Fall Fling is a heartwarming, spicy, laugh out loud, Autumnal romance featuring a sassy generational witch, a skeptical billionaire in hiding, a haunted manor, a family curse and a whole lot of that hot and heavy Lyra Parish spice we’ve come to know and love.

This book is the perfect example of why Lyra Parish is known as the Queen of Fall. The cosy, spooky vibes are absolutely immaculate. From Blaire’s haunted manor and family history to Jamie’s family ‘curse’, the coffee readings, small hallmark-esque town complete with apple orchard and hay maze and everything in between, it’s the perfect book to welcome Autumn back into our lives!

One thing in particular that I love about Lyra’s books is the interconnected aspect. You never know who’s going to pop up and the cameos and Easter eggs are something I really look forward to. I go into her books knowing that I’m going to have a fun, positive reading experience. There might be difficult themes and emotional circumstances but they’re always handled with care. It’s never anything that really brings the mood down or makes the book tough to get through and that’s something I really appreciate.

~ characters ~

Blaire is just as sassy, adventurous and determined as I remember but we definitely see a whole new side to Jamie! This guy falls so hard and fast that he practically melts into a puddle at Blaire’s feet, a far cry from the womaniser we know him to be.

You don’t need any sort of magic, curse or spell to see that these two are literally fated, the real deal, endgame, point, blank PERIOD.
They’re brilliant together and even though there’s an undeniable spark pretty much from the jump, the tension is still absolutely delicious. The banter, chemistry, and spice are top tier but when it comes to Lyra Parish I really wouldn’t expect anything else!

~ final thoughts ~

This was the perfect cosy Autumnal read, one you could very easily devour in a single sitting. It’s well paced, funny, heartwarming and if you want to talk about magic, I am NOT a cat person but there were multiple occasions where a certain little furry friend completely stole the show! It’s so easy to get caught up in the characters and Pine Haven definitely has me under its spell.
I was already excited for ‘Candy Cane Crush’ and ‘Summertime Swoon’ (the other 2 books in the Seasonal Swoon series) but after this, I’m literally counting down the days!

Thank you to Lyra Parish for giving me the opportunity to read this ARC, it’s an absolute pleasure to be part of your team. This is my honest opinion and I’m sharing it voluntarily❣️

It’s the season of the witch!

One full year since I discovered Lyra Parish and, in that circuit of the sun, we’ve returned to fall and all the cider-soaked, colour-washed, pumpkin-spiced goodness that comes from the autumnal Parish-verse.

We’ve met Patterson Cross (The Hockey Situation), we’ve met Addison Cross (The Royal Situation) and now it’s their brother’s turn.

Jamison Cross is a genius billionaire with a chip on his shoulder when it comes to the fairer sex and, frankly, I was delighted to finally get inside that grumpy brain.

See, the Cross family are cursed.

For hundreds of years, the firstborn son of the entire bloodline has been unable to find true love and Jamie – he’s the firstborn son in question. Just.

Although cynical and sceptical, he accepts the curse. His experiences alone have proven its existence and now, his inability to hold a relationship beyond 30 days has become stuff of legend – much to the distaste of the board of his hockey foundation.

But! You exclaim, wasn’t he in a relationship with his twin brother’s now-wife (IYKYK) for years?!

Yes. And while I recommend reading The Hockey Situation for a full breakdown of THAT situation, you’ll get a tasty recap here too…

So, with the board breathing down his back, Jamie escapes from New York to Pine Haven, convinced he’ll spend the better part of the next two months miserable in the small town.

Except Lyra Parish’s small towns have a habit of getting under your skin.

And Jamie finds himself inexplicably drawn to a both a store that claims to break curses, and the beautiful witch inside who reads his fortune. For a price.

Blaire Wardwell however - loyal niece, friend and witch - has enough on her plate without handsome, grumpy strangers distracting her. She needs to repair the roof of the historic haunted manor she inherited from her late aunt, reopen her aunt’s shop and somehow live up to her aunt’s legacy as the town witch.

But a roadblock she couldn’t have foreseen hits her when she reads Jamie’s coffee grounds, and sees something that has the potential to irrevocably change her life too…

What do you get when you combine a cursed billionaire, a headstrong witch, a haunted manor and a fat orange cat? Two stubborn people determined not to fall in love, a haunted manor and a fat orange cat. Obviously.

And honestly, what more could an autumn girl ask for?

Must be time for a flirty fall fling!

As a card-carrying fan of the ‘ber months, I’ve been waiting for this: to slip into the comfort and coziness of a seasonal book.

And to me, no one does it better than Lyra Parish.

Thank you so much Lyra Parish for sending me this ARC!

Flirty Fall Fling is the newest standalone book from one of my favorite authors and it’s everything the title promises, I absolutely loved Blaire and Jamie’s story!

Blaire comes from a line of women with a gift and after the death of her aunt, Blaire inherits her business and becomes the town’s witch. Jamie comes to the small town for a few weeks to hide from public and goes into witch’s shop on a dare, which turns into a reading and a deal to break his curse. Meeting in secret for sessions, Blaire and Jamie can’t deny the attraction between them and agree to a secret fling, but with some signs pointing to them being soulmates, they know they risk their hearts with Jamie leaving in November.

This book was so much fun to read and omg the witchy and cozy fall vibes were perfect, I couldn’t get enough of it and can’t remember the last time I read a similar book. I loved the haunted manor and all the readings, curse breaking sessions and casting spells, it was really interesting and unique and with amazing characters and delicious romance it made for an incredible read. Blaire and Jamie were amazing together, their banter was *chief’s kiss* and made me giggle, they were both hurt in the past and didn’t want to believe in love, but they couldn’t ignore how perfect they were for each other and the signs saying they are soulmates. I loved the secret aspect of their relationship and some situations with how they were hiding it made me laugh out loud, there was also so much tension between them from their first meeting and the spicy scenes were so hot, I found myself blushing at times, these two were fire together and I loved them so much. I also loved seeing so many familiar faces from Lyra’s other books, it’s not necessary to read them but I love the Easter eggs and enjoyed seeing the characters I’ve come to love again. And after that epilogue I literally can’t wait for Winter’s story, I already know it’s going to be a lot of fun!

Flirty Fall Fling is an amazing book, I loved it so much and recommend it to everyone, I can’t wait for more books from Lyra!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5 stars)

Blaire is a generational witch who just moved to Pine Haven full-time and took over her aunt’s witchy shop. Jameson is an ex-hockey star and billionaire who desperately needs a getaway somewhere far from the spotlight. His brother just so happens to own a house in Pine Haven, so Jamie ends up there.

On a dare, he wanders into Blaire’s shop to have his fortune told. Blaire declares that his future holds a flirty fall fling… except his cup actually says he’s going to find his true love.

You see where this is going. 😂

The two MCs were fantastic. Blaire and Jamie had such good banter and great chemistry, and there were multiple points where I genuinely laughed out loud.

I also LOVE the repeating characters throughout all of Lyra’s books. Josie and Winter were great in their supporting roles, and I cannot wait for Winter’s book!!

And Sir Charles the cat gets an A+. Absolutely stole every scene he was in. 😂

There was one thing that bugged me a little—not necessarily enough to call it a negative, but it left me confused throughout most of the book. I could never quite figure out what Blaire believed about the fortune. Did she know that she and Jamie were each other’s true love? Did she suggest the fling because she thought Jamie’s true love was still out there somewhere and she didn’t want to stand in the way? Or did she believe Jamie was her true love but worry that his true love was someone else? Was the whole “fling” idea really just Blaire trying to protect herself from the possibility of getting her heart broken? I kept waiting for that to become clearer, and I’m still not entirely sure what she believed.

But overall, this was such a fun read and I absolutely devoured it. There’s just something about Lyra’s writing that pulls me in every single time. Her books are fun, easy to read, genuinely funny, and always a good time.

Give me a witchy small town, great banter, a hot ex-hockey player, and a scene-stealing cat and apparently I’m happy. 😂

This book has everything you could possibly want for spooky season....romance, witches, hexes, magic, curses, secret meetings, midnight rendezvous, and one absolutely fabulous fat orange cat named Sir Charles. Seriously…what more could you ask for!

I laughed, I swooned, and I completely fell head over heels for Blaire and Jaime. Their dynamic was EVERYTHING! Jaime is a skeptic, Blaire is the real deal, and watching these two interact was exactly the kind of romance magic I love. From secret meetings in a maze to those midnight moments that had me completely invested, Lyra Parish gave us such a fun and enchanting romance.

One of my favorite things about Lyra’s writing is how she can make a setting feel like its own character. The way she brings autumn to life in this story made me want to crawl right inside the pages. Pine Haven has that perfect small-town feel, mixed with just enough magic to make you wish it were a real place you could visit. And Blaire’s girl squad....Winter, Josie, Autumn, and Julie... Well, they are the kind of friends everyone deserves. They are always there for her, through everything, and I absolutely loved seeing that friendship and support throughout the story.

Fans of Lyra Parish’s books are also going to have so much fun with this one! It felt like getting little snippets of her other stories, with familiar faces popping up and fun little Easter eggs sprinkled throughout. If you haven’t jumped into Lyra’s world yet, honestly...readers are definitely missing out!
Flirty Fall Fling is filled with so many magical moments. So many that If I listed them , it would spoil the story and I want you to experience it for yourself. If you’re looking for a book filled with autumn vibes, a little witchy magic, a swoony romance, amazing friendships, and Sir Charles moments (yes, he has a role in this book) you absolutely need to pick this one up!

Because honestly...Lyra Parish + fall + magic + romance.....well this is her jam and she excels in this kind of extraordinary.

Whenever I want to read a billionaire romcom where the main characters are sensible, considerate, and kind - in other words, characters who have totally nontoxic personalities - I just have to pick up a Lyra Parish book. Flirty Fall Fling, the first book in her newest series, Seasonal Swoon, is a perfect example of that. I was particularly excited to read this one because of Jameson Patterson, who is finally finding the woman who would end his bachelorhood in this story. He's admitted that he's been a serial dater, his relationships never lasting beyond 30 days. He believes this is part of a curse bestowed on his family, and he is the one in his generation to be afflicted by it. So naturally, I was excited to find out how the curse would finally end, and thereafter Jameson's singlehood.

Of course, the answer would come in the form of the story's lead female character, Blaire. Another reason I thoroughly enjoyed this book was the witchy vibes set in the backdrop of a beautiful autumn season. I enjoyed the talk about Blaire's contemporary practice of witchcraft: how she read palms, coffee grounds, and tarot. It was all quite fascinating. And of course, I liked Blaire because she was very much self-aware of her needs and wants, of the constraints limiting her relationship with Jameson, and how she still gave it her all despite knowing it had an expiration date. I've found that Lyra's heroines are like that: women who are not afraid to love fully despite the risks of doing so.

I'm definitely committed to this series already after having read this first book. I'm already excitedly anticipating the seasonal vibes and intriguing plots of the coming books, knowing who of Blaire's besties will be getting their own HEA next. For now, I relish having been amongst the early readers of this book after having been granted an advanced review copy. I am therefore leaving this honest review fully voluntarily.

If you need a book that tastes like pumpkin spice, smells like crisp autumn air, and comes with a generous side of ✨MAGIC & SPICE✨… excuse me while I push Flirty Fall Fling directly into your hands. 🫴📖🎃
Blaire + Jamie had me wrapped around their fingers.
A witchy heroine. A grumpy billionaire skeptic. A family curse. A haunted manor. Coffee readings. Secret dating. A fling with an expiration date. A meddling little small town. AND A FAT ORANGE CAT. 🐈🎃
Honestly, what more could a Fall loving girl possibly ask for?!
The chemistry between Blaire and Jamie was EVERYTHING. 🔥 Their banter had me grinning, their tension had me kicking my feet, and watching their supposedly temporary little fling turn into something neither of them was prepared for had me completely invested. And Jamie?! Sir. You can stop pretending you don't believe in love now. We see you. 👀 I absolutely adored the cozy, whimsical witchy atmosphere of Pine Haven. The haunted manor, apple orchards, hay mazes, fall festivities, magic, small town gossip… Lyra basically bottled up October and turned it into a romance novel. 🍁🧡
And let's not forget the SPICE. 🌶️🔥 Because this may look like a cute little pumpkin spiced rom-com, but Lyra said, “Cute AND spicy,” and I FULLY support the decision.
This book gave me:
🎃 Witchy heroine
🍂 Grumpy x sunshine vibes
💰 Billionaire in hiding
🔮 Coffee fortune telling
👻 Haunted manor
🪄 Family curse
❤️ Secret relationship
🔥 He falls first… and HARD
🌶️ Plenty of spice
🍎 Allllll the fall vibes
🐈‍⬛ One scene-stealing cat
This book was so cozy, magical, hilarious, swoony, and ridiculously fun. I flew through it and honestly wasn't ready to leave Pine Haven when it ended. And that ending?! 👀
Lyra Parish really is the Queen of Fall. 👑🍂
If you're looking for your next spooky season romance, PUT. THIS. ON. YOUR. TBR. 🎃📚✨
5 ⭐️🍂🎃
Now excuse me while I go find a haunted manor, a pumpkin spiced drink, and a billionaire who needs his fortune read. 😂🔮☕️

I can’t even begin to explain how much I loved this book.

I fully expected a cozy, cute, fall rom-com, and while it was absolutely all of those things, it was also so much more.

Firstly, I did not expect the spice. And more importantly, I did not expect the level of spice that was so graciously bestowed upon me because OMG. I kneel. I worship. I have officially become a devoted disciple at the altar of Lyra Parish’s spice-writing skills. It was INCREDIBLE.

Secondly, I fell so madly in love with Jamie and Blair. Their connection was everything. The chemistry, tension, yearning, and longing rooted themselves so deeply in my heart that I was rooting for these two from Chapter Two.

The entire romance was written and executed so beautifully. It had that perfect blend of cozy, whimsical, romantic, and just enough small-town drama to keep me completely invested. I would love nothing more than to know a Blair witch, with her cozy little store, and live in a whimsical little town filled with magic, wonder, and just the right amount of small-town chaos.

I am genuinely so happy and grateful that I picked this book up. I couldn’t put it down, and I already know I’ll be eagerly waiting for Lyra Parish to dazzle me with whatever she writes next.

Absolutely magical, ridiculously cozy, unexpectedly spicy, and completely unforgettable. 💕🍂✨

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT:

🎃 Billionaire in hiding
🎃 Fling with an expiration date
🎃 He falls first (and harder)

🎃 Haunted manor
🎃 Small town with meddling matchmakers
🎃 Love fortune

If you're looking for a bewitchingly entertaining read, look no further!!! I highly recommend reading this book - it's another binge-worthy masterpiece from author Lyra Parish!!! This is the first book in her Seasonal Swoon series. It celebrates all things fall. I'd expect nothing less of the Fall Queen. It's very engrossing & well-developed. It captured my interest from the very beginning. I couldn't put it down! I loved all the witchiness - it added an extra layer of intrigue. I wish I had someone like Blaire to turn to for guidance! This book demonstrates the importance of being true to yourself & finding the person who will love you for you. It's a captivating, billionaire-in-hiding, small-town rom-com featuring Blaire Wardwell & Jameson Cross, who are destined to be together. They are proof that the divine timing of the universe knows best.

Blaire & Jameson's journey to a HEA includes an historic manor, ghosts, a recently deceased relative, a love spell, heartbreak, scandal, publicity, a vacation, witchiness, a family curse, intuition, skepticism, honesty, witty banter, sizzling chemistry, great advice, friendship, lots of smirking, supportive best friends & family, denial, a secret relationship, all things fall, respect, a jealous ex, gossip, surprising revelations, paparazzi, loyalty, lots of humor, truth & most importantly, love.

There's a lot of spicy scenes. The secondary characters, good & bad, help to flesh out the world of the story. I don't want to say more so as not to spoil anything. This book is a must read! I look forward to reading the next book in this series, Candy Cane Crush, out in December!

I received a free ARC of this book via BookFunnel and am voluntarily leaving this honest review.

Flirty Fall Fling is a perfect book to bring Autumn romance into your life. Blair has inherited her Aunt’s haunted manor and as the new town witch, she also has the Charmed Cauldron a shop that sells candles, crystals, jewellery, herbs and more importantly where she does her tarot readings, coffee ground readings and palm readings as Pine Haven’s resident witch. Her cousin Josie and best friend Winter, have moved into the manor and work in the shop to help her out. An extremely handsome man comes into the shop and asked for a palm reading, Blair knew immediately the man was sceptical and refused to give him a palm reading as that was not really her forte, but said she would do a coffee grounds reading. Jamie only came into the shop because his twin brother Patterson had dared him to. Jamie is a grumpy, completely bored billionaire who is only in the small town of Pine Haven, staying just outside of town in a luxurious glass fronted house belonging to his brother, on a forced vacation due to his over exposure in the press of his many women, the board of his Sports Foundation had given him the suggestion that he needed to take a break and keep out of the public eye.
The chemistry between Blair and Jamie is undeniable right from the beginning, the banter is hilarious, the supporting characters are so entertaining, some are quirky, some are supportive, some are nosy but most are supportive and protective of Blair. As Blair and Jamie get to know each other and their relationship develops they are keeping their eye on the end date of their fling date even though they each are starting to realise that might not be what they want.

If you've ever read a book from Lyra Parish you know that even though they can all stand on their own, the characters connect them and everything is more fun if you've read the books that come before.

In this case, Flirty Fall Fling features Blair (who previously appeared in Parish's Fall I Want and maybe in the Hookup Situation, though I can't remember, to be honest), and Jamie (who is the twin brother of Patterson from the Hockey Situation, brother of Addison from the Royal Situation and appears in other Billionaire Situation books, briefly).

Blair has inherited her aunt's witchy shop, selling spells, readings and other magical notions with some of her friends. After a scandal, Jamie has been forced to take a leave of absence from his company and he settles in Blair's town for a few weeks of relaxation. As soon as they meet, sparks fly and it appears that the universe, and their friends, are conspiring to bring the two of them together. And how can you argue with the universe? They agree to have a fall fling and, as one would expect, things don't quite work out as planned.

Interestingly, I came into this book not liking Jamie. From the previous books, I thought he was a jerk. My opinion of him quickly changed in Flirty Fall Fling as he was allowed to be charming, just like all of Parish's leading men. Blair, and her friends Winter and Josie (also from other books in the Parishverse) are delightfully whimsical and witchy. Pay attention to Winter and Josie because it looks like Winter is getting her own book next, which means Josie probably won't be far behind.

If you're looking for a seasonal fall romance, this is a fun, steamy choice.

Flirty Fall Fling will be published on September 3, 2026.

A coffee reading says flirty fling, but fate clearly had other plans. Jamie and Blaire's chemistry makes it impossible to believe these two were ever destined to be temporary.

This book was such a fun, swoony fall read! I flew through Jamie and Blaire's story and absolutely loved watching their relationship develop. From the moment these two meet, there is an undeniable spark, and I was completely invested in seeing where it would lead.

Jamie arrives in Pine Haven looking for a break from his life in New York, only to have a certain witch turn his plans upside down. Blaire's coffee reading may predict a fling, but the connection between them feels much too strong for anything temporary. Their banter, chemistry, and growing feelings made them such a great couple to follow.

I especially enjoyed getting Jamie's story after The Hockey Situation and seeing more of Blaire after Fall I Want. It was also so much fun seeing familiar characters pop up throughout the story. Lyra has created such a connected world, and I love how each book adds another piece to it.

There was plenty of humor, romance, and those moments that had me grinning at my Kindle. Jamie and Blaire were impossible not to root for, and their fated connection made this exactly the kind of feel-good fall romance I wanted.

If you want a lighthearted romance with plenty of chemistry, lovable characters, and a little bit of witchy fate, this one is definitely worth adding to your fall TBR.

My first Fall read to get ready for the Fall season was perfect from the Fall Queen herself, Lyra Parish! Last year I LOVED Fall I Want and being able to revisit a supporting character Blaire who is the main character in this book….enjoyed it so much!!

Blaire is now in Pine Haven, CO running her aunts shop that was passed down to her after her passing. She is a witch that crosses paths with Jamison Cross (from The Hockey Situation) who is visiting on a break from his life in NYC. Jamie is a skeptic and has a thirty day rule when it comes to dating. He is dared by his brother Patterson to visit the shop to get a reading and to see if a generational curse can be broken and he can find true love.

Upon entering the shop he is greeted by Blaire Wardwell. He requests a palm reading and she immediately tells him it’s not her specialty. In return she offers coffee cups, tea leaves, curse breaking and love spells. Ding ding ding!!

The way this relationship develops throughout this book, I just devoured it! There was so much banter, a lot of guarding hearts, especially calling it a “fling” and creating rules that after Halloween and come November 1st, it all ends. Jamie was willing to forget the thirty day rule and was falling hard for Blaire. The spice was so good on this book, rate it an easy 3.5 spice level.

This has me ready for the Fall season and wishing this was a place I could easily visit.

🍂🎃 ARC REVIEW: Flirty Fall Fling by Lyra Parish 🎃🍂
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This book was basically a warm pumpkin-spiced hug with a side of chaos, sass, and STEAM. 😂☕🔥
A witch who reads fortunes in coffee grounds, a grumpy skeptic billionaire who doesn't believe in love, a family curse, a haunted manor, and a deal that turns into secret dating… WHAT COULD POSSIBLY GO WRONG? 👀
I absolutely loved Blaire and Jameson! Their banter had me laughing, their chemistry was 🔥, and watching this stubborn man who swears he doesn't believe in love slowly fall for the one woman who might actually be his forever was SO much fun.
The fall setting was everything! 🍁🍎🎃 Apple orchards, hay mazes, pumpkin pie, small-town matchmakers, Halloween, and just ALL the cozy autumn vibes.
I loved the grumpy/sunshine-ish dynamic, billionaire romance, witchy vibes, secret dating, forced proximity, small-town romance, and “this is only temporary” feelings that obviously become anything but temporary. 😂❤️
And the romance? Spicy, sweet, hilarious, and completely addictive!
Lyra Parish has created such a fun start to a brand-new series, and I am absolutely ready for more of Pine Haven and all the people falling in love with the people they probably shouldn't. 😂🍂
If you want a laugh-out-loud, spicy fall rom-com with magic, secrets, a grumpy billionaire, and ALL the autumn vibes, add this one to your TBR!

🖤🧡ARC Review🧡🖤

Thank you Lyra Parish for this ARC of Flirty Fall Fling, this gave all the vibes, and they were epic!

I have to say my very first Lyra book was Fall I Want, and it was EVERYTHING!!! Then getting The Hookup Situation and now Flirty Fall Fling are ABSOLUTELY what dreams are made of! Ugh these hot, steamy, romantic, cozy vibes are literally EVERYTHING!!

Getting Blairs story and her fling being Jameson Cross, none other than Pattycakes brother was beautiful story cross over perfection! This is one of my favorite things about reading Lyras books, all the character appearances and crossover is always so delicious!

Blaire and Jamie were everything that you need to make it through spooky season! A fling, a witch, some magic and spice, with a side of a grumpy cat. Blair just radiates confidence, there is no other way to say it. The way these two were fated even with Blair fighting it, only ever acknowledging it as a fling was the only way she felt she could protect her heart. But when her heart bound itself to Jamison there was no denying that they were forever‼️

Tropes:
🎃 Witchy heroine x grumpy skeptic
🎃 Billionaire in hiding
🎃 Fling with an expiration date
🎃 He falls first (and harder)
🎃 Secret relationship
🎃 Family curse
🎃 Haunted manor
🎃 Small town with meddling matchmakers
🎃 Love fortune
🎃 Rules made to be broken
🎃 Reformed player meets his match
🎃 Cozy fall vibes

“I need you to decide what you want. Either you’re mine until November, or you’re not.”

Flirty Fall Fling | Lyra Parish | Seasonal Swoon #1

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5, 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5

“Even though I’m busy, I still want your midnights,” I confess. His thumb grazes against my cheek as he stares into my eyes. “Every single one is yours.”

Read this if you love: billionaire in hiding | he falls first (and harder) | secret relationship | family curse | haunted manor | reformed playboy | cozy fall vibes | close friend group | witchy heroine x grumpy skeptic

“How many readings have you had?” I ask. “Over the years?” He glances away, then back at me. “Hundreds.” I swallow down the lump that forms in my throat. “Why so many?” “My brother always dares me, and I never say no.” All he does is smile. “But I was searching for something. I think I found it in you.”

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book! I’m not usually a fall vibes book person, but this one was just so good! It’s witchy fun with a whole lot of spice, secret meetings, and a pact that neither one really wants to end. I swooned. I had chills. I had tears. The fated mates and all the little moments that put them together were perfect. Loved it all! Absolutely perfect fall read and I will be recommending it all season long! And if you love this one, Lyra’s billionaire series that features some of these other characters, is also a great read.

Thank you @lyraparish for the eARC. I voluntarily read an early copy of this book.

Jameson Cross an ex-hockey player used to the fame, the noise of the city, used to feed the rumors that surrounded him was forced to take a leave of absence and fix his reputation. He traveled to a small town to get lost and instead he found himself and the love of his life.

For someone that didn’t believe in magic he was enchanted by Blaire, a generational witch who guarded her heart with all her might.

Intrigued, bedazzle and mesmerized he followed Blaire in a journey that it was supposed to be a mutually beneficial agreement between them but watching them fall in love was one of my favorites things about this book.

Both of them had to leave their fears behind and face what freighted them the most, and blindly followed each other.

Blaire embraced who she was unapologetically, she was magnificent, I loved how careful and confident she was with her magic. Jameson was thoughtful, supportive, never ashamed of Blair, she became his priority.

Their love story was absolutely fantastic and magical, their souls recognized and called for each other. Destiny and fate keep bringing them together. They were soulmates, fated.

Lyra one of the things that I love more about your books is how immersive they are, you truly outdid yourself with Flirty Fall Fling.

This book is the perfect start for this upcoming fall season!! Thank you Lyra for this magical adventure of love.

This is an ARC review from my absolute favorite author!🪄🔮
