These are four sweet, inspiring stories about young Amish girls and boys, who learn about themselves and others. In “Letting Go” Hannah and her sister are at odds with each other because Sarah doesn’t act like Hannah thinks she should. Sarah learns what is most important to her, while Hannah learns to stop pushing others and “let go” so God’s will can be done. In “Rebekah’s Quilt” an accident brings Levi and Rebekah together. Through their combined efforts, Levi discovers he is able to do more than he thought possible and Rebekah is able to get her quilt to an important auction as planned. In “Unexpected Romance” Rebekah is part of a very strict Amish family, while Jacob—a newcomer to the community—works for an English company. They have an instant connection, but their parents forbid them to associate. However, they are able to work through these and other issues, to finally have a chance at love. In “Abigail’s First Love” Abigail wants a husband and family, but is unsure if anyone will want her. Therefore, she takes advantage of rumspringa to see what it’s like being around English teens. Then she notices an Amish young man she knows, who secretly likes her, which is the beginning of their love story. I would recommend these stories to everyone. I received a free copy of this anthology and this is my honest opinion of these stories.

Novellas are not as easy to write as some would think. The first story had girls getting in a buggy and leaving. Who harnessed the horse? No one. Guess it was a magic buggy. The ending suddenly happened.

One story had word usage errors.
Another came up with a title and used it in the closing paragraph. Sadly the sentence read awkwardly and unAmish.

It's a fast read but I did not find the stories enjoyable. Too rushed.

Oh and one had the new couple who knew they were destined to marry--they both giggled. Men and boys on the cusp of manhood and marriage do NOT giggle...not if they want their girl to stay with him. A beta reader might have been useful by suggesting "chuckle".

These gentle romances are comforting and life-affirming. They also give an insight to the Amish way of life. They may be too simplistic for some readers, however. Unfortunately there are a lot of grammatical / punctuation mistakes and some loose writing. One story even confused two character names - which begin with the same initial which is never a good idea. Nevertheless, I would be happy to read more of these.

A set of 4 clean romances for those who love an Amish setting. These romances are all quick reads, that leave you with a happy smile.

I wished some of the romances were a bit longer as I enjoyed the characters and the setting.

Thank you to Fairfield publishers for providing me with the oppoetunity to read and review this book.

I got this ebook from the authors in exchange for an honest review. It consisted of two novellas and two short stories. I enjoyed the stories and they gave me some insights into Amish life that I had not gotten from other Amish romances. Highly Recommended.

Depending on how you read these books, one can either reflect and learn something valuable about God’s teachings (we see different aspects of forgiveness) or simply spend a great time reading sweet and touching stories. Either way, you will enjoy yourself.

I really enjoyed the four stories in this book. The authors did a good job portraying the stories. I did notice some printing/proofing errors especially in the third story.

Fairfield Amish Romance Collection gives us a start into the lives of those who live in Fairfield County. Each story was well written. As a reader I was able to see the scenes play out in my mind as I read each story. The characters were well developed for the short amount of story that each was introduced in. One was able to walk along the road or ride in the buggy with the characters as they went about their daily lives. I loved how the authors would stop and give details into something that most would just pass over in the story. It not only helped one to connect with the characters but also to take a deeper look at the character and how they loved or hated their life at the moment.

This was only Volume 1. I do hope that we are able to return to Fairfield County again soon. I would love to see how these characters are doing and find out more about the other families in this area. I was given a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. I am glad that I was able to take a visit to the County. Hoping to return in the future.

Your review I was given a copy of this book from the authors for an honest review
This was a great collection of stories that gave us inspiring characters and painted a lovely picture of a town filled with struggles, learning to seek God, clean sweet romance and writing that flowed across the pages.

Each story was a wonderful look at people who depend on their faith but sometimes need guidance and love. I enjoyed each book from the collection and as I read the beautiful stories , I felt like I was in Fairfield mingling with the people of the town as each character was developed with grace. It is a great collection to read as you sit back, relax and savor the words that touch your heart and brings a feeling of joy and hope.

Fun Short Stories

This author writes better in a short story then a lot of authors write in long novels. I had already bought and read them one time but enjoyed them twice!
