The Bradshaw Brothers #4
Unleashed: The Bradshaw Brothers, Book 4
Trevor Bradshaw is the most annoying man I've ever met. He's arrogant, demanding, and unyielding. Has serious control issues, no sense of humor, and zero patience.
He also accidentally rocked my world in my best friend's bathroom. During her wedding reception.
It's a mistake I won't be making again. I have more important things to focus on than what he hides beneath a bespoke suit and a frown. Things like caring for my sister. I'm all she has, and I won't let anything, or anyone, distract me from giving her the best childhood I can. One that's as different from mine as I can make it.
But Trevor doesn't seem to like knowing I'm on my own. It bothers him in a way I don't expect. No one has ever cared about me or my struggles, so when he starts doing things that are a little… questionable, I don't mind it as much as I should. Apparently stalking is my love language.
But it's the way he treats my sister that makes it impossible to stand my ground. The two of them are thick as thieves from day one. BFFs, complete with matching bracelets and inside jokes.
Now he's sleeping on my couch and cooking in my kitchen. Mowing my grass and helping with laundry. Invading my home, my life…And my bed.
Which might not be such a bad thing since someone else is lurking in the shadows. Someone who will do anything to get what they want.

ARC Review 📖
Some romances are just ridiculously easy to sink into, and this one had me completely invested in the chemistry, banter, and emotional push and pull from the start.
Trevor and Maren were such a stubborn, fiery pair, and watching them challenge each other while slowly letting their guards down was so much fun.
Maren’s strength and devotion to her little sister made her incredibly easy to connect with, while Trevor’s transformation from intensely controlled workaholic to the man quietly taking care of both of them completely got to me. His relationship with Zara was an absolute highlight, and those softer moments showed just how much there was beneath his grumpy exterior.
The romance had plenty of heat, but it was the everyday care, family dynamic, humor, and emotional vulnerability that made this stand out for me. I laughed, swooned, got emotional, and became far too invested in these two.
I had an absolute blast with these characters, and this series just keeps getting better for me.

ALC Review (Audiobook) 🎧
The audiobook made this one even more fun to experience, especially with Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais bringing Maren and Trevor to life. Their performances captured the constant friction between these two so well, from the snarky exchanges to the softer moments when Trevor’s protective side started showing. Samantha was especially wonderful with Zara, giving her so much personality and making her scenes impossible not to enjoy, while Connor perfectly suited Trevor’s gruff, controlled exterior. The duet narration added plenty of energy to the romance and made the emotional shifts feel natural, turning this into a very entertaining listen from beginning to end.
~~~~
I was so excited to experience this one in both formats. Having the ARC and ALC meant I could fully sink into the story, and honestly, it made the experience that much better.
A sincere thank you to Janice Whiteaker and Hambright PR for the ARC! 🥰📚
I’m so grateful for the early read. As always, all thoughts and opinions are completely my own. ✨
I read this in one sitting! I couldn’t put it down! This is my favorite of the Bradshaw Brother’s series!
Thank you Janice Whiteaker and Hambright PR for the Advanced Listening and Advanced Reading copies of Unleashed! The immersive read was fantastic and I was so surprised and thrilled to hear SAMANTHA BRENTMOOR and CONNOR CRAIS as the narrators! Truly chef’s kiss!
Having read all of this series I’ve gotten snippets of Trevor and his refusal to be seen as anything but dedicated to his job. He doesn’t care if you don’t like him, he prefers it that way. And then in walked Maren. She is a take no sh** black cat who has become an integral part of the company and will not put up with his attitude and will give it right back ten fold. The tension that has built through this series between these two was guaranteed to be explosive and if delivered!
Loved their story and getting to still see what the rest of the family is up to. The threat to the company and the family is still there and I can’t wait for more Bradshaw Brothers! 🔥
3.5⭐️
This started off pretty good but kinda got boring towards the end. Like I know it’s fiction, but I just find it hard to believe that a normal CEO would have this much drama and violence in his life that’s usually the norm in a mafia romance. It felt a bit exaggerated to me lol. And also the fact that we don’t get a love confession from him - not even at the end - is one of the reasons why I’m giving this a lower rating. I also feel like the reason why they started hating each other was kinda just glossed over and not addressed that well imo. I did like the grumpy heroine aspect tho along with the whole tension and “hating but also wanting to fuck your boss” dynamic. Still a decent read for me despite not quite hitting the mark when it comes to boss x employee romances.
Safety squad:
- no OW/OM drama (no mention of the H being with OP and he’s been into the h since they first met a year ago; h was last sexually active a year ago with OM; slight jealousy scenes from both MCs but nothing major; first scene is a flashback from the H’s ex gf dumping him because he prioritises work too much)
- no cheating/sharing
- “acts of service” kinda H
- single parent/guardian (h has custody of her sister who has cerebral palsy)
- boss x employee
- hate to love
- grumpy heroine
- part of an interconnected series
- HEA (with a proposal)
“Tell me to stop touching you.”
There’s something addictive about pissing her off. I don’t know why I enjoy it so much. It’s like a hit of a drug I know I’ll come back for. Every single time.
“Not everything requires immediate action. Sometimes people just want to complain.”
If you’re going to be unhinged, at least be reliably unhinged.
“If I’d known this is all it takes to calm you down, I would have fucked the hate out of you months ago.”
“Ignore him. He’s just grumpy because someone stole my strap on.”
“I hate you.”
“Sure you do.”
“If someone thinks you’re a bitch, it’s probably because that’s the version of you they deserved to experience.”
There’s not much I wouldn’t do to keep her. I’d fight. Steal. Lie. Even walk through fire. A fact I’ve already proved once.
My favorite Bradshaw book so far! Maren and Trevor were everything I wanted them to be and more.
August 24, 2026
I’m crying tears of joy as a finish this book because it was so fun but also emotional in a way that has me feeling so seen. I love vulnerable and relatable characters and Janice Whitaker always delivers on that, along with a kickass romance of course. Maren is a fierce woman, she’s bossy and loves putting Trevor in his place (that’s my girl!) but also loves so freaking much. She’s been through so much and has had to take care of herself since forever and her younger sister too. The way Trevor slowly starts integrating into her life and taking care of things for her is so beautiful. But oh she does not make it easy for him, their flirty banter at the start was pure sexual tension mixed with a little bit of hate and I loved it. Trevor and Maren are such a cute and fiery couple, that will have you rooting for them so hard. I love Trevor so much partially because he’s so swoon worthy and literally buys a whole petting zoo for Zara (Maren’s younger sister) and partially because he reminds me of myself. He’s a workaholic to say the least and the saddest thing is he’s so insecure about it as he thinks he’s good not enough to be in a relationship because of his workaholism. But he’s so wrong because does not hesitate to be there for the woman he loves and her younger sister. I loved it when his brothers were so shocked to find out he’s taken his first day off in years and why? Obviously to take Maren and Zara to the petting zoo. They completely stole my heart with these incredible characters and cute (most of the time) storyline. I give this a 5/5
ALC Review for Hambright PR and Janice Whiteaker
Samantha Brentmoor as Marin and Connor Crais as Trevor - pure excellence. Loved!! 💗
The banter and insanity in this book is so fun. Marin is such a confident, strong willed woman. Trevor is a workaholic with a side control freak, nut job. Iran that in the best way. His desire for Marin and need to keep her safe are everything f in this book.
What I loved most about Unleashed (perfect title for Trevor) is Marina little sister Zara. Samantha Brentmoor has THE best little kid voices. She brings this adorable little ray of sunshine to life in the best way. Zara, who was abandoned by her drug addict, bio mom and raised by her sister has every reason to struggle. However, she is confident, friendly and ready to take on the world.
The moment Zara and Trevor meet is so silly. She immediately adopts him as one of her best friends and he couldn’t be happier. Marin can’t help but drop her walls when she sees the deep level of care Trevor has for her sister.
Another great one in this series. I can’t wait for Walkers story. I know it’s going to be exceptional.
Just when I think I’ve found my favorite book in the series, a new one comes out and everything goes out the window! 🤯
❤️
Trevor Bradshaw… I am SO in love with you! 😍🔥 To say I devoured Trevor and Maren’s story would be a HUGE understatement. I could not get enough of these two!
It all started in a bathroom after a wedding, and let’s just say… if sleeping with your boss is taboo, I want every part of it! 🔥👀
Maren is such an incredible woman. She has overcome so much, especially at such a young age, after being left to raise her infant sister who suffers from the lifelong effects of their drug-addicted mother’s abandonment. Her strength and resilience made me love her even more. ❤️
Unleashed is book 4 in the Bradshaw Brothers series, and trust me—you do NOT want to sleep on this one! 🥵📖
📚 Release Date: August 28
Thank you so much to Janice Whittaker and Hambright PR for the ALC/ARC! 💕📚
This was a 3.5 star read for me but rounding up to 4 stars because I really liked the narration with the audiobook! I have read one other book in this series and LOVED that one, so was super hopeful for this one! I think this is easily a 4-5 star read for those who like stalker main characters, and you can see that in a ton of reviews for this book!
This book features a feisty, independent FMC - Maren - who is not used to depending on anyone for support. She has custody and is the sole guardian of her little sister, Zara who has some physical disabilities, and she'll do whatever she can to protect her from the rough upbringing that Maren experienced.
Enter Trevor Bradshaw - workaholic and bane of Maren's existence. These two have been at each other's throats since Maren started working for the Bradshaw Brothers' security company, and no one knows why. The problem is, Trevor can't leave Maren alone. He needs to make sure she's okay, and he'll stop at no lengths to ensure this happens.
Definitely major stalker MMC character vibes, and everyone seems to be okay with this in the book - his brothers, his brothers' wives, and even our FMC who doesn't want help from anyone and yet is like "okay cool, you're just going to watch me outside my house." If you LOVE a stalker, touch-her-and-die, enemies to lovers romance, this is for YOU. The narration done by Samantha Brentmoor and Conor Crais was to die for - they just did a beautiful job, and I highly recommend a listen!
Thank you to Hambright PR and the author in exchange for the ALC and ARC in exchange for my honest review!
BOOK CLUB Qs ~
1. What did you think of the relationship between Maren and Zara? How did Maren balance both maternal and sister roles?
2. How did Maren seem to be compatible with Trevor in a way that differed from expectations in his past relationships?
3. Do you think setting up a surveillance system to ensure Maren's safety without her knowledge was sweet or creepy? Explain your reasoning.
4. How do you think Trevor eventually broke through Maren's walls? What did he do to get her to slowly let him in?
5. What are your thoughts on the cliffhanger at the end? What do you think this is eluding to?
Apparently stalking is a love language… and Trevor Bradshaw has me unwell
4.5 ⭐ | 2.75 🌶️
Janice, babes… THAT ENDING SHOULD BE FUCKING ILLEGAL. You’ll be hearing from my lawyers. And my therapist. Possibly both at the same time.
Because Unleashed didn’t just pull me in: it consumed me. Having both the ARC and ALC made the experience even better because whenever I had to physically put the book down, I could immediately shove the audiobook into my ears and continue spiraling over Trevor and Maren like a perfectly reasonable adult. Narrator: She was not a perfectly reasonable adult.
Maren is the kind of heroine who gets under your skin almost immediately. She’s tough, stubborn, fiercely independent, and carrying the kind of strength that wasn’t born from choice; it was built through survival. Her childhood taught her how to fight for the bare minimum. Food. Clothes. Safety. A chance at something resembling normal. Then, five years before this story begins, one phone call changes everything. Maren discovers she has a baby sister. And from that moment on, that little girl becomes her entire world.
Everything Maren does is rooted in one promise: her sister will have the childhood she never did. She works, sacrifices, protects, plans, worries, pushes herself beyond exhaustion and never once considers that maybe she deserves someone looking after her, too.
Which is exactly where Trevor Bradshaw becomes a massive, grumpy, controlling pain in her ass. And, unfortunately for Maren, an extremely sexy one. Trevor is one of her bosses, a man who seems permanently two seconds away from arguing with someone, taking control of something, or terrifying an innocent spreadsheet into submission. He lives and breathes work. Delegating appears to physically offend him. Patience? Never heard of her. Sense of humor? Missing, presumed dead.
So naturally, these two accidentally hook up. At a wedding. In a bathroom. As one does. And from there, the tension between them is delicious.
What I loved most, though, is that Unleashed doesn’t rely on sexual chemistry alone. Yes, Trevor and Maren have heat. Yes, their adversarial energy makes every interaction crackle. Yes, watching two grumpy, stubborn people attempt to pretend they absolutely do not want each other is deeply entertaining.
But underneath all that friction is something surprisingly tender. Their relationship grows in a way that feels raw, intimate, complicated, and deeply human.
Trevor’s need to step in isn’t always graceful and sometimes it ventures delightfully into sir, that is absolutely questionable behavior territory, but you gradually understand where it comes from. You understand the intention underneath the control. The fear underneath the demands. The man underneath that bespoke suit and permanent frown.
And Maren? Accepting help might genuinely be more terrifying to her than facing everything alone. Because when you’ve spent your entire life surviving by yourself, depending on someone else doesn’t feel comforting. It feels dangerous. It feels like weakness. It feels like giving somebody the power to disappoint you.
That emotional push and pull between them gave this story so much depth. But the part that completely wrecked me was Trevor with Maren’s sister. I AM WEAK. Watching this intimidating, perpetually irritated man become completely wrapped around one tiny finger? The matching bracelets? The inside jokes? Their immediate little friendship? Goodbye. I’m deceased.
There is something unbearably sexy about a man who doesn’t just want the woman; he sees the life she has built, understands the responsibilities she carries, and starts making space for all of it. He isn’t simply trying to get into Maren’s bed. He’s on her couch. In her kitchen. Helping with laundry. Mowing the grass.
Quietly inserting himself into the everyday pieces of her life until suddenly this fiercely independent woman isn’t carrying absolutely everything alone anymore. And THAT is the good shit.
Unleashed balances humor, heat, caretaking, vulnerability, family, duty, danger, and emotional baggage so well. Beneath the workplace tension, accidental hookup, adversaries-to-lovers chaos, and light stalking antics is a story about what happens when someone who has never been cared for meets a man who apparently decides caring for her is now his full-time fucking occupation.
And Maren does not know what to do with that. Honestly? Neither did I. I laughed. I swooned. I wanted to shake them both. I melted over Trevor’s relationship with Maren’s sister. I hurt for Maren. I understood why she guarded her independence so viciously. And somewhere along the way, Trevor Bradshaw bulldozed his grouchy ass straight into my heart.
Then Janice Whiteaker had the audacity to give me THAT ENDING. Ma’am. Respectfully. JAIL.
If you love accidental hookups, adversaries-to-lovers, workplace romance, small-town vibes, grumpy-meets-even-grumpier energy, an aggressively competent hero whose love language might legally qualify as surveillance, a fiercely protective heroine, found family, caretaking, emotional vulnerability, and a romance with genuine weight beneath the spice… You’re going to want this one.
Thank you so much to Hambright PR for sending me both the ARC and ALC in exchange for an honest review, and huge congratulations to Janice Whiteaker on the upcoming release of Unleashed on August 28th. 🖤🔥
Now, if anyone needs me, I’ll be forwarding my therapy invoice directly to Janice.
Beneath the workplace tension, accidental hookup, adversaries-to-lovers chaos, and light stalking antics is a story about what happens when someone who has never been cared for meets a man who apparently decides caring for her is now his full-time fucking occupation.
And Maren does not know what to do with that. Honestly? Neither did I. I laughed. I swooned. I wanted to shake them both. I melted over Trevor’s relationship with Maren’s sister. I hurt for Maren. I understood why she guarded her independence so viciously. And somewhere along the way, Trevor Bradshaw bulldozed his grouchy ass straight into my heart.
Then Janice Whiteaker had the audacity to give me THAT ENDING. Ma’am. Respectfully. JAIL.
If you love accidental hookups, adversaries-to-lovers, workplace romance, small-town vibes, grumpy-meets-even-grumpier energy, an aggressively competent hero whose love language might legally qualify as surveillance, a fiercely protective heroine, found family, caretaking, emotional vulnerability, and a romance with genuine weight beneath the spice… You’re going to want this one.
Thank you so much to Hambright PR for sending me both the ARC and ALC in exchange for an honest review, and huge congratulations to Janice Whiteaker on the upcoming release of Unleashed on August 28th. 🖤🔥
Now, if anyone needs me, I’ll be forwarding my therapy invoice directly to Janice.
UGH THIS WAS SO GOOOOOOD!!! Dammit, now I fear a hangover coming on.
Absolutely love grumpy x grumpy. Their banter was off the charts and their sexy time was pretty damn steamy while also being kinda hilarious during their first time hooking up with her not being too impressed and him trying to work through the awkwardness. They both never backed down and it was such a hoot!
Maren is such a tough character who never let her tragedies dictate her. She stepped up and dedicated herself to her adorable sister who is one of the best side characters ever.
I liked how Trevor wasn't the type who let his surliness drive her away or be turned off but her prickliness. In fact, he was turned on by her always fighting him tooth and nail. These two were just perfect and fun read!
The only thing is the ongoing mystery across the books which I did feel like there wasn't much time spent on it and I was admittedly a bit lost in what was going on.
Can't wait to read the other books in this series although I'm a little weary about Tucker's book since he's a manwhore. But he was such a protective, loving partner in this one to Ruth so maybe I can get over it when I get there.
Safety - non virgins, celibate hero (seemed like 5 years since he hooked up with anyone), she's sexually active (yay!) although unknown on the last time unless we're going with Down the Street Doug, no OWD (just slight jealousy from FMC around new hire), slight OMD (Down the Street Doug won't leave FMC alone), no cheating, no sharing, no on page sex with OP.
🎧 ALC REVIEW 🎧
Thank you to Janice Whiteaker and Hambright PR for this ALC.
Another instalment in the Bradshaw Brothers series—and this time, Trevor takes centre stage.
Trevor is a work-obsessed, custom-suit-wearing businessman who has no time—or desire—for a relationship. Maren, meanwhile, has devoted her life to caring for her sick sister while trying to protect them both from their manipulative mother.
After one incredibly sexy encounter at a wedding, Trevor cannot get Maren out of his head—and suddenly, the man who never had time for a woman is determined to make time for her.
I absolutely adored this book. Trevor may have a rather intimidating exterior, but underneath it, he is protective, thoughtful, sweet and incredibly caring. I loved seeing his softer side emerge and watching the way he supported Maren after she had spent so long carrying everything alone.
Tucker, I’m sorry—but Trevor has officially become my favourite Bradshaw brother. Apparently, a protective man in an expensive suit is all it takes to win me over.
An easy 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Another great book in this series! I have enjoyed these books so much. They are the perfect romances for when I’m in the mood for something that I know is going to hit just right.
I have been waiting for Trevor and Marens book and I completely loved it. Zara was the best and as with the other books I found myself both giggling and swooning.
I read this one in audio and the audiobooks for this entire series are SO GOOD! Duet narration, with an amazing cast. Samantha Brentmoor is so talented!
The Bradshaw Brothers series is perfect for readers who love a down-bad billionaire who will stop at nothing to make sure that his woman is safe and satisfied! Plus, the female characters in this series are badasses. They all have their own strengths, and compliment each other so well! I can’t wait for the next one!
The Bradshaw Brothers #4
Thank you Janice Whiteaker and Hambright PR for the ARC & ALC! I immersive read this book and it was wonderful! Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais did a spectacular job!
I have read every book in this series and love them all and of course I love this one too! Our MMC Trevor and FMC Maren were so much fun together. Trevor is your serious, arrogant, workaholic Bradshaw brother who likes to be in control, while Maren is independent, stubborn, and definitely not afraid to give it right back to him who works at his company. Their banter and chemistry were so good! 🔥
Maren has had a difficult past and has pretty much had to handle everything on her own, including taking care of her younger sister, Zara. I loved watching Trevor slowly work his way into their lives. Seeing this tough, always-in-control man sleeping on the couch, cooking, doing laundry and helping take care of them was so sweet. And his relationship with Zara absolutely melted my heart. ❤️ (there might be a petting zoo involved.)
I also really enjoyed watching Maren learn that she doesn’t always have to do everything by herself. Trevor may be bossy and over-the-top protective,( a trope I love)but you can definitely see that softer side of him come out when it comes to Maren and Zara.
Of course, we still get all those Bradshaw family dynamics that I love! The brother’s banter is the best! I just love the mom! The ladies that form a bound. There is still the ongoing suspense that keeps you wondering what’s going to happen next.
Overall, I really enjoyed Trevor and Maren’s story. The banter, chemistry, spice, suspense, and those sweet moments with Zara made this such a good read. I’m really enjoying these Bradshaw brothers and getting to know each one of them! ❤️📚
The workaholic, grumpy, short temper, and stalker.. yup stalker boss.
Trevor fall for Marin. These two for most of the earlier series are oil and water. They clash and bicker at every turn. Then they somehow start to kind of understand each other. Trevor puts himself out there first. Stalking and sitting outside Marin’s house day after day 😄 we love a dedicated stalker.
This was cute. It has some light suspense to the plot like most of this series. The back plot carrried through the books.
I freaking loved this book!
I’ve been waiting for Trevor’s book, and it was everything I hoped it would be!! 🥹
This is book 4 in the Bradshaw Brothers series, and if you haven’t read any of the books in this series, I highly recommend you do so!
I laughed so much! I listened to the audiobook, and I immediately fell in love with how well Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor brought these characters to life. ❤️
Thank you @janicewhiteakerauthor and @hambright_pr for the gifted eARC and ALC!
Trevor and Maren’s story was everything I expected it to be! I knew these two were going to bring the drama, and I was hooked from beginning to end 🤭
Trevor’s stalker and dominant tendencies? Yeah… I ate that UP. Although I definitely wouldn’t have complained if he went a little more off the rails 👀
I loved getting to learn more about Maren and her past, and Zara was such a fun addition! Maren is such an independent girlie, so watching her finally let Trevor step up and take care of her was everything.
And just when we thought we could breathe… another life-threatening incident. WHO IS BEHIND ALL OF THIS?!
Now I NEED Walker’s book because I’m hoping we finally get answers about his mom and all these incidents at McKinley Security Systems. Something tells me there’s a connection, and I am READY to find out🕵🏼♀️
Unleashed was another good book in a series I’ve really been enjoying. It wasn’t my favorite of the series, but I’m a sucker for enemies-to-lovers, so I still had a really fun time with it! Thanks hambright for the ALC!
I adored this story! I loved the side characters, especially Zara and I do not really like kids in my romance books, but she stole my heart. This book had me laughing out loud, especially the drunken email thread between Trevor and Maren. I also really loved how easy everything was - it just flowed, it just worked, and that was a nice relief and break from the typical "third act break up" and other things you see. This is a standalone, but there were some things mentioned (a fire, a suspicious death) that have me wanting to start this series from the beginning to see what the hell I missed.
Trevor and Maren were such a fun time! The dislike, but insane chemistry led to hot hate bangs 😂 But then they fit so well once they allowed themselves to pass from enemies-to-lovers.
The audiobook was duet narrated by Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais. Their performances were fantastic 👏 the drunk emails has me cackling
Thanks to Hambright PR for ALC.
ARC Review
If you want to read a book about a caring and obsessive man, this is definitely the book for you. I found myself really liking our FMC but was very annoyed by how "woe is me" the MMC was. It became a very repetitive talking/plot point in the book and it was so unnecessary on his part 😭 I'm a sucker for a story with an adorable kid so that was definitely a plus. I also like that you can read this one and understand what's kind of going on without reading the others. There's not much to this specific plot I feel like you necessarily HAVE to have read the others. I think this book explained it well enough without getting into too much detail. But it would definitely help and make it more enjoyable.
This was my first successful Audio/Eyeball read for a book! I switched between the two and it was a great experience. The enemies to lovers is usually a win for me and this wasn’t an exception. There is an innate passion with this trope that is just yummy, yummy for my tummy. I found myself relating to Maren a lot and I love her even more than I already did.
Maren has grown up having to fend for herself, now that includes her sister. She is not here for anyone’s enjoy, she’s got better things to do. She’s determined to provide a better life for her sister. She cannot fathom the idea of her having to go without her whole life, like she did. She will not anything get in her way, not even her boss’s brother, Trevor.
Trevor knows he cannot have Maren; no one could tolerate the way he lives. But he just can’t seem to help himself. The more he seems to learn about Maren, the more he wants to know. He finds himself unable to allow her to leave his site.
📚EBOOK📚 & 🎧AUDIO 🎧
I was lucky enough to be approved for both an ARC and ALC of Unleashed by Janice Whiteaker, and I was SO excited because I've really been enjoying The Bradshaw Brothers series. This is book four, and I previously had the chance to read books two and three as ARCs/ALCs as well. Somehow, I still haven't read book one 😂, which is something I definitely need to fix.
Actually, I'm going to tell you not to make the same mistake I did: read this series in order!
Each book follows a different Bradshaw brother and a different couple, so the individual romances have their own stories. However, there is a larger plot developing in the background that carries from one book into the next. From what I understand, everything will eventually come together in book five. So while you can enjoy the individual couples, reading the series in order will give you a much better understanding of that bigger storyline and make everything flow together.
Now let's talk about Trevor and Maren because these two! 😂
Trevor Bradshaw is incredibly focused on his career. He's controlled, serious, demanding, stubborn and definitely not the kind of man you'd expect to suddenly become completely obsessed with a woman.
And yet… here we are. 😂
After Trevor and Maren have a very unexpected encounter in a bathroom during her best friend's wedding reception, Maren is determined that it's going to remain a one-time mistake. She has much bigger priorities, especially caring for her younger sister and giving her the childhood and stability that Maren herself didn't have.
Trevor apparently has other plans.
Suddenly he's sleeping on her couch, cooking in her kitchen, mowing her lawn, helping with laundry and basically inserting himself into every part of Maren's life. And watching this extremely controlled man become besties with her little sister—with matching bracelets and inside jokes—absolutely cracked me up.
Add in the fact that someone else seems to be lurking in the shadows, and there's just enough suspense running underneath the romance to keep things interesting.
I LOVED this one.
This book made me giggle, want to pull my hair out, think, get frustrated, get emotional and yes… it even made me cry. It somehow managed to give me pretty much every emotion in a relatively short book.
I wouldn't necessarily call it a rom-com, but there are so many genuinely funny and adorable moments. Then you have the romance, family dynamics, emotional moments and that little bit of suspense all mixed together. Trevor's transformation from this completely work-focused man into someone who becomes so invested in Maren and her sister was probably one of my favorite parts of the entire story.
And then there's that bigger storyline that's been slowly developing throughout the series.
THAT ENDING?!
Come on, Janice! 😂
I NEED BOOK FIVE.
It's not necessarily a huge dramatic cliffhanger, but there's enough left hanging that I absolutely need to know what's going on. We've been getting little pieces of this bigger plot throughout the series, and now I'm completely invested in finding out how everything comes together.
And I can't finish this review without talking about the audiobook. 🎧❤️
Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor perform Unleashed in duet narration, and they were AMAZING. I already love both of these narrators, and they know exactly how to bring out every emotion in a story.
Samantha especially does such an incredible job giving the different characters their own voices while handling the more emotional moments with so much delicacy. And Connor Crais as Trevor? Yeah… that worked VERY well. 😂
The duet narration makes the whole experience incredibly immersive, so if you're an audiobook reader, I strongly recommend listening to this one.
This was easily a 5-star read for me. Janice Whiteaker managed to give me romance, humor, emotion, family, suspense and characters I genuinely cared about, while still moving that larger storyline forward.
Unleashed releases August 28, so if you haven't started The Bradshaw Brothers yet, you've got time to catch up—and unlike me, START WITH BOOK ONE! 😂
Now I'm just crossing my fingers that I get lucky enough to be part of the ARC/ALC team for book five because after that ending, I NEED TO KNOW HOW THIS SERIES ENDS!
UNLEASHED by JANICE WHITEAKER ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Unleashed is the fourth (#4) book in THE BRADSHAW BROTHERS series.
Trevor Bradshaw is the most miserable, grumpy and work focused of the Bradshaw brothers. He’s impatient, bossy, a little OCD, incapable of cracking a smile and he is capable of rendering people who disappoint him to a quivering pile of mush with just one look.
He has also met his match in Maron.
Maron has had a hard life. Her childhood was nonexistent thanks to her strung out, drug addicted mother, and she had to drag herself up. When her mother dumps her sister on her Maron steps up, determined to give Zara a perfect childhood.
Her self sufficiency and determination to put Zara first means that Maron has no patience for nonsense OR idiots like insufferable Trevor. she is stubborn, forthright and always speaks her mind refusing to cow down to Trevor even if he pays her wages! So their undeniable attraction is frustrating for both of them. They slowly start to tolerate each other whilst keeping their distance but when Maren experiences a traumatic event Trevor’s protective instincts come to the fore…..
———————————
Janice Whiteaker has the ability to write really engaging books with fascinating characters and Unleashed is no exception. She really dives deep into her characters emotions and you can’t help cheering them on.
I especially loved the characters of Maren and Zara in this book. Maren’s bada$$ and protective nature towards Zara really drew me in. I absolutely loved that she wasn’t afraid to go toe to toe with Trevor and call him out on his nonsense and their banter was top notch.
Wheelchair bound Zara is a delightful addition to the story and I loved the way she didn’t let her disability affect her joy and giving nature. I have also lived with cerebral palsy since birth and I appreciate the way Janice portrayed Zara’s restrictions and the way that Maren encouraged her independence.
With really engaging characters, and a great, gripping plot, this book drew me in (as did the other books in the series) and the pages turned themselves. I got so invested in this read I read it in one day.
I absolutely love the banter between the Bradshaw brothers, both face to face and via text messages. Whilst they bicker constantly they are actually incredibly close and very protective and supportive of each other and those in their circle.
Their desire to constantly one up each other is hilarious. They have actively been avoiding their mum Deidre’s attention as she was determined to pair them all off, but as each brother finds his forever partner she is backing off, and instead concentrating all her efforts on the children. All the humour is the perfect foil to the heavier moments in the story.
As with previous books in this series, Unleashed concentrates on one Bradshaw brother - Trevor. There is also an underlying mysterious thread running throughout the series and in this book the brothers continue their search to discover who is out to destroy their business and them and why.
I’m finding this thread really interesting and compelling and it really heightens the desire for the next book.
There are open door spicy scenes in this book from the off. The spicy is tastefully done, not overwhelming and in keeping with the storyline.
I read an ebook version of this book, with a male model cover in fitting with previous books in the series and good editing. This book releases on August 28th.
With thanks to Janice Whiteaker and Hambright PR for an early read of this fantastic book. All comments are my own honest, unbiased opinion.
Maron has had a hard life. Her childhood was nonexistent thanks to her strung out, drug addicted mother, and she had to drag herself up. When her mother dumps her sister on her Maron steps up, determined to give Zara a perfect childhood.
Her self sufficiency and determination to put Zara first means that Maron has no patience for nonsense OR idiots like insufferable Trevor. she is stubborn, forthright and always speaks her mind refusing to cow down to Trevor even if he pays her wages! So their undeniable attraction is frustrating for both of them. They slowly start to tolerate each other whilst keeping their distance but when Maren experiences a traumatic event Trevor’s protective instincts come to the fore…..
Janice Whiteaker has the ability to write really engaging books with fascinating characters and Unleashed is no exception. She really dives deep into her characters emotions and you can’t help cheering them on.
I especially loved the characters of Maren and Zara in this book. Maren’s bada$$ and protective nature towards Zara really drew me in. I absolutely loved that she wasn’t afraid to go toe to toe with Trevor and call him out on his nonsense and their banter was top notch.
Wheelchair bound Zara is a delightful addition to the story and I loved the way she didn’t let her disability affect her joy and giving nature. I have also lived with cerebral palsy since birth and I appreciate the way Janice portrayed Zara’s restrictions and the way that Maren encouraged her independence.
With really engaging characters, and a great, gripping plot, this book drew me in (as did the other books in the series) and the pages turned themselves. I got so invested in this read I read it in one day.
I absolutely love the banter between the Bradshaw brothers, both face to face and via text messages. Whilst they bicker constantly they are actually incredibly close and very protective and supportive of each other and those in their circle.
Their desire to constantly one up each other is hilarious. They have actively been avoiding their mum Deidre’s attention as she was determined to pair them all off, but as each brother finds his forever partner she is backing off, and instead concentrating all her efforts on the children. All the humour is the perfect foil to the heavier moments in the story.
As with previous books in this series, Unleashed concentrates on one Bradshaw brother - Trevor. There is also an underlying mysterious thread running throughout the series and in this book the brothers continue their search to discover who is out to destroy their business and them and why.
I’m finding this thread really interesting and compelling and it really heightens the desire for the next book.
There are open door spicy scenes in this book from the off. The spicy is tastefully done, not overwhelming and in keeping with the storyline.
I read an ebook version of this book, with a male model cover in fitting with previous books in the series and good editing. This book releases on August 28th.
With thanks to Janice Whiteaker and Hambright PR for an early read of this fantastic book. All comments are my own honest, unbiased opinion.
3.5⭐️ rounded up.
Unleashed was another enjoyable addition to the Bradshaw Brothers series, and after seeing snippets of Trevor throughout the previous books, I was definitely ready to see what happened when the grumpiest, most work-obsessed Bradshaw finally met his match.
This follows Trevor and Maren, two people who already have a habit of getting under each other’s skin. Trevor is arrogant, demanding and completely married to his job, while Maren is fiercely independent, stubborn and more than capable of giving his attitude right back. Their banter was definitely one of my favourite parts of the book, especially watching them go from constantly butting heads to something more.
I liked Maren as a heroine. She’s strong and capable, but there’s a lot more going on beneath those sharp edges. She has spent so much of her life putting her younger sister Zara first and carrying everything on her own, so watching her slowly allow Trevor into that part of her life (not that he gave her much choice) was probably my favourite aspect of their relationship.
And Trevor... well, apparently stalking is a love language because I enjoyed his slightly stalker-ish tendencies more than I probably should have. We won't question what that says about me. His protective side really worked for me, especially once Zara became involved. Watching this permanently grumpy, work-obsessed man become completely wrapped around her little finger was sweet, and I loved seeing how much he wanted to make both Maren and Zara's lives easier.
I also continue to enjoy the wider Bradshaw family dynamic. There’s something entertaining about watching all the brothers interact, and I love that the previous couples continue to have a presence rather than simply disappearing once their books are finished.
The suspense/mystery element is also still ticking away in the background, and whilst I appreciate that it’s clearly building towards something bigger, I honestly wish it had been given more depth and page time throughout the series. There’s so much potential there, and I think it could add another layer to these books if it was explored more fully rather than feeling like something happening around the edges of the romance.
My biggest issue with this one was probably the ending. It felt particularly rushed, especially considering some of the things that had been building throughout the story. I definitely wanted more time for everything to unfold and a little more space for the emotional side of things to land.
Overall, I had a good time. Trevor and Maren had good chemistry, I enjoyed their banter and protective Trevor won me over. I'm looking forward to the next (and final?) book in the series releasing later this year. 🌶🌶
"This is actually pretty close to what I expected your bedroom to look like." "You were imagining what my bedroom would look like?" I shiver again, even though I'm not cold anymore. "That's...weird."
His eyes slide to fix on my face, "I wasn't imagin- ing what your bedroom would look like, Maren." He steps closer, the scent of his skin invading my lungs. "I was imagining fucking you. Your bedroom just happened to be there."
"I know cuteness aggression is a thing, so there's gotta be a level above that where your feelings go beyond cute. Beyond aggression.
Homicidal affection. That's what I'm going to call it. I'm starting to like Trevor Bradshaw's face, and it makes me wanna poke him with something sharp."
"Enjoy your lunch." "I will." Maren's brows lift in question as she smooths down the lapels of my jacket. "Want me to bring you anything back?" "Just you." I kiss her on the tip of her nose. "I would be very, very upset if you didn't come back to me."
Unleashed
The Bradshaw Brothers, Book 4
By: Janice Whiteaker
Narrated by: Samantha Brentmoor, Connor Crais
More Bradshaw brothers’ greatness, yes please, and Janice Whiteaker certainly brings it, penning another fabulous novel, a small-town romance that sweeps you in and becomes an addiction and impossible to put down. The third book in the series brings us Trevor and Maren’s story, and each piqued my interest after meeting them in the earlier books. The two bonked heads like no other, and there was an undeniable chemistry between them, which neither acknowledged nor admitted to. And when he gets a taste of her, he wants more, but she wants nothing to do with him outside of work. OMG, watching Trevor’s stalkerish behavior come out in full force was something I did not see coming, but I loved it, also loved seeing his possessive and protective side come out. Maren has the wow factor not only when it comes to how great she has been in her job, but with her sister Zara too, a side of her life she did not share, and one she worked hard to keep making sure sure younger her sister had everything growing up that she never had. The special needs representation here was beautifully done, and Trevor stole my heart with how amazing he was with Zara, and what he had done and would do for her and Maren too. There is still danger brewing in the background, first thought to be part of Maren’s past, but it is looking more like the ongoing suspense/mystery series storyline going on, and they haven’t gotten any closer to solving it, but there is a new character in this book that may be able to provide some answers, and I am looking forward to learn who and why. I am loving my visits to Willow Bend, the Bradshaws are some of my favorite characters, the brothers, their fabulous love interests, and their meddling mother who is just as fabulous too. This masterfully crafted, multi-layered story has the perfect balance of drama, angst, witty dialogue and humorous banter, heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. As always, the writing, plot and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. Janice Whiteaker, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and emotional rollercoaster ride
🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous audiobook listen performed in duet by the entertaining and superbly talented Samantha Brentmoor and Connor Crais. They were amazing in their roles, embodying their characters completely, grasping every facet of their personalities and their character voices were fitting and believable. Brentmoor nailed it as Maren, fierce and sassy, handled he witty dialogue perfectly and Crais was just as amazing in Trevor’s role, and did great transforming from the grumpiest of grumps to a man obsessed to a caring sweetheart, especially with Zara. Both are fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too, Zara included. Their expressive delivery conveys all the characters’ emotions, making you feel each one and their engaging performance keeps you hooked on the story. These two are a joy to listen to and you could not ask for a better cast to bring these characters and their story to life.
🌶️ 3/5
Audiobook: Connor Crais & Samantha Brentmoor
Let me start with the audiobook because I cannot say enough about Samantha Brentmoor’s performance. This was easily one of the BEST audiobook performances I’ve experienced this year.
She. Killed. It.
This wasn’t just narration. It was ACTING. The emotion, intensity, and delivery were phenomenal. Give this woman an award. Connor Crais delivered a solid performance, but Samantha absolutely knocked this one out of the park.
Now, the story...
Unleashed is book four in the Bradshaw Brothers series and gives us romantic suspense, spice, banter, family, and one very morally gray MMC.
Trevor? He's Stoic. Controlling. Work-obsessed. Impatient. Very much touch-her-and-die energy.
I’m here for it.
Maren has spent practically her entire life taking care of herself and everyone around her. After growing up with a mother struggling with substance abuse, she learned independence at an incredibly young age. Becoming her sister’s guardian only reinforces her mentality that she needs no one. Maren sacrifices friendships, relationships, and her own needs because taking care of Zara is simply what she knows.
She also doesn't know what to do when someone wants to take care of HER.
Trevor isn't exactly Mr. Warm and Fuzzy either. His life revolves around work and the family company. Even his house feels cold and untouched, almost like nobody actually lives there.
So forget enemies-to-lovers.
This is GRUMPY x GRUMPIER.
Their chemistry has been simmering through the previous books, and then we get a fling in a bathroom at her best friend's wedding.
HELLO, CHEMISTRY.
But underneath all that heat are two incredibly closed-off people who have to figure out how to actually let someone else into their lives.
Trevor has to realize there's more to life than work.
Maren has to realize she doesn't have to do everything alone. It's ok to receive help from friends.
And then there's ZARA.
I LOVE THIS CHILD. She brings so much joy to the story. I know why Trevor bought that girl a petting farm. I would have done it myself.
This book really has everything:
Morally gray MMC
Touch-her-and-die vibes
Spice
Banter
Romantic suspense
Found family
A little stalking
Emotional growth
Serious chemistry
Characters from previous books
While you can read Unleashed as a standalone, I highly recommend starting with book one. Janice Whiteaker does such a good job pulling you into the entire world of the Bradshaw Brothers, and the relationships and character connections hit so much harder when you already know everyone.
Trevor and Marin get their HEA, but the larger storyline leaves us with a slight cliffhanger that has me VERY ready for book five.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Five stars. Phenomenal audiobook. And Samantha Brentmoor's performance alone makes the audio version worth recommending.
Read the entire series. But LISTEN to this one.
