We read about it, we all have a little bit of its tendencies, but what is it like to be inside the mind of a person who truly knows the effects of OCD on the quality of life, the self-imposed limitations that are near impossible to overcome? How can a non-OCD person really grasp the torment endured by someone with OCD? Jennifer Jamelli’s final book in her trilogy, Forever Checking is our last chance to live inside the mind and heart of Callie, a brilliant woman who deals with OCD every day, every minute and with every action. Aiden knows about people who have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, he has been to school to help in the battle to overcome or manage this condition. Together Aiden and Callie form a tight bond, one filled with love and a huge amount of trust and bravery as he becomes Callie’s tireless cheer section as well as her boot camp instructor. Will his methods of holding Callie accountable for her daily actions build a firm foundation for slow, but monumental changes in her life? Is her love for Aiden and his unwavering strength going to be the balm that helps Callie to function in a world of germs, strangers and the unknown?

Jennifer Jamelli brings warm-hearted humor, frustration and romance to a woman who has become a prisoner to her own compulsions, but who wants to enter the world around her without having a breakdown. Ms. Jamelli’s hero is a rare man with his own demons who finds chemistry with a woman who is stronger than she knows. Together they are a force to be reckoned with. Yes, Ms. Jamelli uses repetition to demonstrate what goes on in Callie’s head, along with the counting, the music, the must have routines. Not only is this an emotional, eye-opening read, but it is written from the heart of someone who knows this condition, first hand. That Ms. Jamelli could write with such detail and keep it entertaining, as opposed to maudlin and dark, is a testament to her ability as a talented author to follow! I highly recommend this series for a real peek into the mental world of a person unable to completely overcome the issues they have. Highly recommended, highly informative, highly entertaining.

I received this copy from Jennifer Jamelli in exchange for my honest review.

One, Two, Three, this series rocks ...

Forever Checking is book three in the Checked series by Jennifer Jamelli. This is a series of books that I will never forget because I loved being inside Callie's head and what the effects of OCD can be.

Callie is back and she is trying hard to overcome her fears, so she can be with the man she loves Aiden. Aiden is trying new drug-free therapies with her. This book basically goes through the treatment stages and what happens in her relationship with Aiden and her family. OCD is such a struggle for her, but she comes through it and you see gradual changes as she starts to succeed. Of course, there are a lot of issues for her to face and each one is faced with determination even if she knows she will fail.

This series of books is a must read, I loved them all and have never felt such a close bond with a female character. Her issues are enormous and yet she tries so hard to have a 'normal' life, even with the battles that she has to go through on a daily basis. The patterns of behaviour and over checking everything leads to anxiety and obsessive over-thinking. You see all of Callie's thought processes and why she feels the way she does. The exhaustion she feels could only be described as immense and it is no wonder. Callie counts everything in threes and so her checks are also done three times, so hours of time goes by in just checking to make sure she can leave the house or go to bed.

This series is a five-star read from me and if I could give them more, I would. Thank you, Jennifer Jamelli for producing such a wonderful set of books about an interesting if sometimes perplexing read about people with OCD.

First off, I am sad to be done with the series.

Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy this book as much as the first two in the series. I think part of the reason for that was because of how long I had to wait for this book to come out.

Overall, I thought this book was okay. I enjoyed the relationship between Callie and Dr. Blake. I think their relationship is very cute, but I did worry that Callie reminded him too much of his mother. Or that he was trying to help her because he couldn't save this mother. However as their relationship developed more, I could tell the feelings were real.

Some parts of the book were boring such as when the author repeated Callie's routine. Also at times, it seemed like Callie didn't want to help herself. She lied about getting better in order to avoid upsetting Dr. Blake, but it only set her back. He wanted to help her, but he couldn't properly because she kept secrets or lied to him. I felt bad for him because Callie isn't the most honest person. I think he deserved to know the truth even if he couldn't handle it. He should have been given the option to learn the truth up front and then decide if he could deal with it, but that's my own personal belief.

I would recommend this to those of you who have read the first two books in the trilogy.

A beautiful ending for two characters that will stay with me for a long time!
I LOVED this series! Every word, every second! And I'm sad it is over but I'm excited to read more from Jamelli.
Callie and Aiden grew so much throughout this series and Callie is truly one of my favorite characters EVER!
I love the premise of this series. OCD is not something to glance over and Jamelli wrote the complexity of this disorder so accurately with such strong issues and situations.
This series is now one of my top favorites! LOVED IT!
5+++ Stars!

I was pleasantly surprised by this series and devoured it in a weekend. I thought I had a little OCD, but it's nothing compared to Callie. I can't even begin to imagine the amount of research Jennifer Jamelli put into this novel.

Even though I LOVED their relationship, I'm still a little skeeved out by a therapist falling in love with a patient. I feel like it crosses a line. But, hey. This is fiction and who wouldn't want to have their hot doctor fall in love with them?

I only gave this book four stars instead of five because I still felt some codependency between Aiden and Callie. I felt Aiden needed to get some therapy for his mother's death, which he never did. Although their relationship became less co-dependent when I still felt like the author didn't show enough change in their relationship, though this could be because the last chapter was kind of rushed.

I really enjoyed this series!

Great trilogy

I loved all 3 of these books. I downloaded them one after the other. Couldn't put them down. Such a lovely love story,a different kind of love story but a love story all the same. It was nice to read a love story with some reality to it, something a lot of people I'm sure can relate to. It's a shame I've come to the end.

Callie and Aidan, stronger together than they are apart; especially Callie. When Aidan confesses his love for her Callie in turn tells him all about the things that have been going wrong with her therapy and all the lies she thinks she's been telling him, lies of omission especially about her therapy sessions. For a while everything stops for Callie and she doesn't know what to do but with the help of her brother she manages to find out where she went wrong, her extreme OCD causes her to overlook the basic communication between two people as she struggles with her own thoughts and with the music in her head.

What a wonderful read. I enjoyed getting to know Callie and seeing the world through her eyes, how difficult it must be to have a condition like that as a normal functioning adult.

I'm disappointed though that we didn't get a whole book based on Callie's pregnancy and dealing with giving birth, but I know all good things must come to an end.

This was a good read.

Good ending, but it could have been better. In some way it was honest, but expected some drama - because of the previous books - which didn't really come. Normally I'm not into too much drama, but so the developement of their relationship seemed a bit rushed.

I liked the envelopement of writing in the storyline again. Her 'diary'/his questions. But I didn't like her lying again. I would liked to have more scenes with them together - and I mean no sex scenes, more interaction besides the blood taking scenes. There wasn't so much excitement in their relationship like in the books before.

But all in all it was a good series which I inhaled. I really liked that the author stuck to Callies OCD and her difficult way to have a 'normal' life.

One Two Three and she did it; I love this series! I love this final book. The music was exceptional again. The character growth and development of the relationship with Callie and Aiden was satisfying. I am so glad to have found this series and experience even through Callie a small bit of what life is like for someone with OCD. It was eye opening, frustrating, and interesting at the same time. I was with her through the heartbreak and success she experienced. It was a great conclusion and I reread the whole series and this book, because I just loved catching all the little things I may have missed the first time in their relationship. Great story and great writing!

Thank you, Jennifer Jamelli, for giving Callie a voice in this last edition to the Checked series and letting me walk away with a believable HEA for these two characters. I really don't want to ruin the story for everyone else who has been waiting patiently for book 3. It got a little crazy there in the middle and I had no clue how it was all going to get resolved, but suffice it to say I was satisfied with how it all come together in the end. Although this book is almost 400 pages, it goes by quickly as many of the pages are a series of one liners that are short and quickly read.

Didn't like this one as much as the other two. I felt there was a lot of "wasted space." For example, a lot of repeating and skipping around. I felt the journal entries went on for way to long. That was basically the rest of the story. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed the third one because I've been waiting for it since last year, but I was disappointed. I love Callie and Aiden together and the author does a good job allowing the reader to fall in love with the characters, but I wish there would've been more of a storyline.

Overall, it is a good conclusion to the series. I didn't enjoy it as much as I skimmed thru quite a bit of her OCD thoughts. Yes, I understand that is the premise of the book BUT I feel like we got the gist in the previous 2 books. I wanted more interaction with her and Aiden. So I was skimming to those parts of the book. 3 ho hum stars

I enjoyed the first two books in the series and was looking forward to this one. It was a let down for me. It wasn't a bad book, it just felt very rushed and I don't think it is up to par with the first two books.

UGH while I liked this one, the style I had grown to love with books one and two was not here and while I did like this style it totally missed all the love gooey bits of Aiden.
