Life is so fragile, even for immortals.
A once happy young girl, enjoying her childhood; fantasizing about falling in love, finding her mate and having a claiming ceremony filled with love and devotion. Marking each other, and being together for eternity. Having immense amounts of sex, and children, or in this case, pups. All Shattered!! the night Zara gains her power. That night her father, Alpha of the pack, gains more power than any one wolf should have.
Instead, I am this. A shell of the strong, independent, take-no-shit-from anyone woman that I used to be.
Zara's power is to read minds. Her father, who is Alpha, uses this power over the years to gain the upper hand on the other packs. Thus destroying all other wolf packs, and making him, the most powerful ruler within the wolving community. Over the years, he has tortured, caged, and brutally hurt Zara, and her family. Pitting her brother against her, in efforts to gain his way. Using manipulation and Zara's emotions, changing the course of nature, and giving Zara a fake mate, in order to control her. He leads by fear, as opposed to respect.
On a reconnaissance mission of another, stronger pack. The simple strategic meeting goes awry, when Zara's true mate, Xavier senses her. And cue the sparks. Alpha wolf in both senses, sexy badass and commanding. Yummm!!
Destroying everything and everyone in his path, Xavier finds his mate and takes her with him to his pack home. Now, now, it isn't that easy. When Xavier introduces her to the pack as his mate and their soon to be Alpha female. Everyone becomes concerned, because Zara smells of another wolf. The entire pack is cautious of her, and is constantly on the lookout for her ulterior motive. Amidst all of the pack concerns, Zara's emotional and mental status is questionable. This once vivacious, sexy woman, has become subdued, and a recluse within herself.
As the days go by within Raber Wolf pack, Xavier learns of the ploys of Zara's father, his brutality on other packs, the reason for the dwindling packs and wolves. He also learns of Zara's power and soon another power of Zara's develop in her fear of the unknown future.
This was a sexy and quick read. I kept fanning myself all through the book. The sex and hottness factor was off the charts. Xavier... sigh... the man.. wolf..drool..................... He was commanding and soft, lovable and firm. A great leader, a fierce mate, and a superb lover. He was an enigma that I needed to unravel, and within no time, I fell in love with him.
Zara was aptly written, her trials and emotions were heartfelt. Battling herself, her father and her willingness over the unforeseen future was a nice touch. I loved that even though by nature they were mates, and their nature called for some strong intrinsic emotions. The author kept Zara's concerns and fear to the forefront of the novella, and their innate ability didn't take over.
Can't wait for book 2!!

Zara's father is the power hungry Alpha of her pack. After learning she has the ability to read others' minds he locks her away in a cage and tortures her until she agrees to use her ability to help him gain more power over the other packs. Feeling like she will never get out from under his command Zara has started to give up. But when she is out on "business" for her father and she senses her mate, her fight comes back even stronger than before.
Alpha Xavier sensed Zara was his mate and immediately goes all bad ass to get her. The only problem is, once he has her his pack doesn't trust her. Zara smells like another male and not like Xavier's mate due to some pill her father forced her to take. Not only does Xavier and Zara have to fight her father, they have to convince his pack that she isn't a fraud and that they can trust her.
Xavier was one hottt alpha! Within the first few pages of meeting him he was already being completely kick ass and fighting for Zara. Once he had her, he went all in and would do anything to protect her and care for her and I found it really sweet. He was so sexy and the need he had for Zara was steaming up my Kindle!
Zara was a really interesting character and I liked that we got to see her get her fight back. She was broken when she finally got free of her father but once she was with Xavier she started to find herself again. She was a really strong person to go through all that she did and still come out swinging and I admired her for that.
The book was a great start to this new series. It was so intriguing and there was a lot going on that I couldn't wait to find out how it all ended. It was different than most of the shifter books out there, and there was also magic and powers that I found to be really cool. The next book is a different couple but there are still some unanswered questions from this book so I can't wait to start Book Two.

Meh…*shoulder shrug*
I love shifter PNR reads and I love me some .99 cent deals. So if you want to give this one, at least its cheap on Amazon right now.
After reading this one, I’m gonna have to pass on the rest of the series. The blurbs promise a good read but I’m not willing to spend more $$$ on the off chance they will also fall flat for me.
This is about Zara, a wolf shifter that finds out she has mind reading powers. When her father and alpha of her pack, finds out he tortures her until she agrees to read other pack shifters’ minds to find their weakness and vulnerabilities. The alpha than uses the intel Zara gathers to decimate the other packs.
Zara is pawn for her psycho father and has given up hope of ever getting out alive. Until she runs into Xavier. He was her father’s next intended victim but it turns at that he is also her mate. Xavier takes her away and the story is pretty much about Zara leaving behind her old life of misery and death and instead embracing an Alpha and mate that cares and respects her.
The story had potential but it got OTT crazy at certain points and I just couldn’t really take it all that seriously. At least not serious enough to enjoy it.
What I liked: Some might not agree but I like the silent brooding Hs and Xavier was up there with his one word responses and chest thumping shows of dominance. I liked him. I also liked the idea that shifters can possess other abilities. It was also an interesting concept that I think (fleshed out more) would have added a lot more to this story.
What I didn't like: Every time someone referred to Xavier as Alpha X, I kept hearing the X-Men theme song and after a while I just felt like it robbed Xavier of his supposed bad ass-ness every time it came up. Alpha X sounds like a cheesey stripper name to me.
Then there was Zara. I just didn’t like her. She seemed to try to be too many things at once. The shy innocent h, the martyr h, the h with a boatload of compassion/wisdom, the bad ass h, the snarky, smart ass h, and the alpha h. And the shoe just never fit well.
Memorable Moments:
The one time I agreed with Zara (when it comes to OW). Xavier has just admitted that he and OW (who is trying to cause drama) have slept together “a lot.”
It’s cringe worthy but true.
I don’t know why this OW was brought up since Zara dismisses it all only a few minutes latter ….
Urg! Hate that!
Would I recommend? Nope. This one didn’t give you anything memorable and just aggravated me with it’s pointlessness.

First time read from Author Ryan Michele. Its was an ok book. The story was told in first person from the heroines pov only. 90 percent of the time when its told in just the pov from only one side I never get the feel of the relationship. There are times I do in other books but I didn't get it here. The only other thing that bugged me was the abuse and torture the heroine went through in the beginning. Kinda figured it would of took more time and care for her to get over something like that. But it was still ok.

Interesting start to a new series. Zara was put through the ringer by her evil, power-hungry father. Fortunately for her, the fates were kind and sent her her true mate in the form of Xavier. Loved him because he absolutely slayed every one of her demons for her. Little Natalie's plight will break your heart, and you'll just want to love her and take care of her yourself. I liked the epilogue teaser about Max, and can't wait to read book 2.

Wow what a completely different shifter book. I loved every second of it. Zara is not only a wolf but she has powers that allow her to hear others thoughts. Her father the Alpha of her pack uses these powers to destroy other wolf packs. He is one twisted sick freak. Zara is forced to do her fathers bidding until she finally meets her lifemate Xavier. Can Xavier heal Zara and protect her from her father? This is Ryan Michele's first pharanormal shifter book and she doesn't disappoint. This was a sexy hot thrill ride from chapter 1 till the end. You can't help but feel for Zara due to the awful treatment that her pack has done to her. Once Xavier is in her presence he knows that she is his and will not allow anything to stand in his way. Xavier is all alpha panty melting hotness. Ryan introduces the reader to some interesting characters who will hopefully show up in future books. If you love shifter books with lots of paranormal elements thrown in then this book is for you. Can't wait to see what happens next

I've had this series on my kindle for ages, and was reminded of it in one of the groups I belong to. I fancied a quick, low angst paranormal read and this fit the bill.

Who doesn’t love a book with a sexy Alpha Male. Well this book not only provides us with a hot as hell lead man, but he is in fact, an actual Alpha!
This is the first book in Ryan Michele’s new series Raber Wolf Pack and introduces us to lives of Shifter’s Zara and Xavier.
Zara is the daughter of her packs Alpha. Xavier is the Alpha of the Raber Wolves Pack. Zara is a carefree, slightly rebellious 23 year old, who only wants to have fun and get laid and one day meet her mate and settle down. She is content with her life and her place in her pack, until one night she discovers she has a power that will change her life forever. She thinks that by telling the truth about what is happening she will be safe, instead she finds herself captured, tortured and forced to serve the whims of the very people she thought she could trust.
She is left broken, resigned to the fact that she will never be free to find her mate or have a normal, happy life. Until one day while following orders, she crosses paths with Xavier and everything changes. An Alpha in the truest sense of the word, this man commands power over his people but would lay his life down for them just as quickly. They are drawn to each other in an uncontrollable way, which sets off a chain of events that puts not just them, but the lives of both of their packs in danger.
While I enjoyed reading this book, I found myself struggling to get absorbed in Zara and Xavier’s story. Yes there is an insta-connection which for this book was understandable, but I still found myself wanting there to be a bit more of a “getting to know you stage” with the characters, so that I could connect with them on a deeper level. I struggled a bit with Zara’s character, and found myself switching between disliking her and then really loving her character and back again, and found the times when she was showing a more compassionate side of herself to be when I found her character to be most believable. Xavier on the other hand I loved! Sexy, dominate and a growl I wish I could have heard with my own ears, my only complaint was that I wanted more of him!
Overall while I didn’t love this book, I did enjoy it’s storyline and I am looking forward to reading Book Two in the Series and hopefully having the chance to get to know Zara, Xavier and the rest of the Shifters and their stories on a deeper level and to discover the outcomes of a few of the things that were left unanswered from this book.

Overall: Zara is 23 and one night at a party after starting to have sex with someone she comes into her powers and she realizes that she can read minds. About 2 years later she is a pawn for her father because he has been using her power to take out other packs so that he can be all powerful. A chance encounter brings hope to Zara's heart when she scents her mate and he comes to rescue her. After that a battle ensues because her father wants her back, but Xavier isn't letting go of his mate now that he has finally found her. There is also a magical mystery going on and a search for her Nana O. The books leaves you with a bit of a cliffhanger and just a little information about what the next book is going to be about.
Pros: I did like that Xavier helped get Zara to start believing in herself again and wouldn't let her get away with her moody moods. I also really loved the sex scenes and I'm now in need of an alpha wolf myself. lol I also really loved that Zara's father got what was coming to him in the end.
Cons: I had a few problems with this story. #1 I personally didn't feel any connection with the characters. #2 Xavier was just too much of an ass for me to really like him. #3 The story moved WAY too fast. I wish there was more time to actually see a real relationship form between Xavier and Zara.

I've just finished reading 'Raber Wolf Pack' the first book in Ryan's new series, I've been left speechless & at a lose of words at what to type here.... Ryan has tried her hand at paranormal & all I can say is YAY, I FLOVE IT!
We meet Zara, then a 16 year old wolf heading to a party, a night that's meant to be fun-filled, but things go horribly wrong... we don't find out the complete story until later (I'm not telling you either). Fast forward a few years & Zara is controlled by her father, has a fake mate & hates her life... that is until she meets her true mate.
This is a new unique shifter story, a dark, action packed, tear jerker (well it got me)... The growth made by Zara once she'd met her mate, was wonderful, her old self started coming out almost right away. I would love to read more about the wolves of the 'Raber Wolf Pack' & can't wait for book 2....

Advance copy for honest review! Ryan Michele ravaged us with the MC now she is going to devour us with wolves. Raber Wolf Pack has very strong and well developed characters. She doesn't see any way out after her father has tortured her to show his power over her. When he takes her to a meeting with another pack, she wasn't expecting to meet the mate she had dreamed of previously. Xavier is everything she could want and they feel that instant attraction. I absolutely loved X. He is all alpha and gives good growl for damn sure. Zara's father isn't going to let her go so easily, but they will receive help from an unexpected source.
This was a fantastic beginning to the series. X and Zara are scorching hot together and they are surrounded by people I am so looking forward to getting to know more. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

I have to admit that I started this book thinking another shifter story but Ryan Michele caught me by surprise. I did enjoy this book. the story itself is intriguing. I love the fact that magic is brought in as an element. I thought the story flowed well and the magic involved was awesome. It was nice to see this from a younger shifters point of view. I do eel for the young shifter female in this story. She is used by her father to further his ambition to be head Alpha over all wolves. The fact that she has special abilities as well as her brother makes this story a little different than other shifter stories. I like this difference. I truly enjoyed reading this book and plan on getting the other books in this series. Just so the next reader knows there is violence and physical abuse in this story so if this type of thing bothers you beware it is all here as well as some hot sex!

This is the first book in this very interesting series, it is the first time I have read from this author and I was impressed. Most Alpha's are usually depicted as being very caring and loving towards his pack and especially his family What happens when he changes and is filled with greed and the need for power to the point that he forgets his love of family? The author delves into this with her story, it is very compelling. Full of action, sadness and hope.
I was sad for Zara and very angry with her father's selfishness, I was then happy and jumping and rooting for the good guys. I went through so many different emotions while reading this book that I couldn't put it down till I finished.
It is also full of passion and love. I can't wait to read the next book in this great series.

This is what shifters are all about. I’ve read so many that don’t really incorporate the shifting into the book but was not let down on this one. The pack battle was detailed and had me glued. The same can be said for the rest of the book.
The main characters were amazing. Both were strong and stubborn but when it came to the romance, there was no push and pull which was a huge plus for me. I plan to read more books in this series because the build up of secondary characters really has me hooked. 4 stars #2OCCJD

This was a good quick read I liked Zara are heroine she had a rough start in life especially being in the Pack she was born in I won't do spoilers but she dealt with some craziness from her parents that boggled my mind I also loved the hero Xavier he was straight Alpha who took control of the situation and handled his business he was sexy and was very caring when it came to Zara. Also I like the set up for future books.

This was an okay read, didn't offer anything special. It was on the short side. I didn't really connect with the hero and heroine, something was missing from the story.

This was a 5 star read for me! Ryan done a great job weaving this heartbreaking tale together. The characters are interesting, well developed, and easy to connect too. This was a book I couldn't put down. I read it all in one sitting. I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series.

A really good one
This one has a uniqueness to the storyline that peaked my interest and kept me reading straight through to the end. There is an HEA with a little unresolved mystery as to the location of her only living relative. But it's not a cliff hanger. On to book two. I definitely recommend this on. It's really good.

I really enjoyed this story next to is Max and I hope we get Zanes story too. They have to find Nana O. And her father really needed to suffer a long with her mother.
