Sequels rarely live up to the promise of the preceding book. 'Bad Habit' did. In this sequel to 'Misconceptions' both our fears and hopes about what Braxton, aka 'Bad Habit' is really like are realized. He's just as awful as you think he is, but as great as you think he is, as well. And better. In fact, just as we learn more about just how bad he is, we also learn more about the extent Alex's "misconceptions" about the man she (and we) fell in love with in the first book.

He's in love with his four babies for sure, and in love with Alexandria too, but boy does he ever fight that last one. He engages in all the things women are terrified their partner will do when they're not around--risky flirtation, socializing with "loose women", being vague about his status when women ask whether he's attached or unattached ... And he does all this while being madly in love with Alex, ridiculously possessive of her, and a stellar father to his kids.

I loved the contradiction of this man, and the story told exclusively from his POV did not miss a beat. I felt his ambivalence about being in love, and at the same time felt his devotion. And Blu Daniels did an incredible job of showing how men compartmentalize. You see, Bad Habit's bad behavior, in his mind has no bearing whatsoever on his right to claim Alex and to act a fool if he thinks someone else has an interest in her.

But the contradiction can't continue indefinitely, so Blu Daniels brings it all to a head in the most dramatic way, and Braxton has to grow up, or lose the family he was dragged kicking and screaming into creating. It ended perfectly. Blu Daniels, PLEASE ... ignore us if we ask for more. This story, along with the one before it, is full and complete.

Love Blu Daniels' voice--it's refreshing and unique. This book was a fantastic follow up to Misconceptions--mostly because I loved Bad Habit's voice. Love or hate him (and Blu does a great job making you love him, flaws and all), he was just a really well written, well-rounded character.

I read this book in one sitting, just as I did the first in the series, and would actually love to see something written about Brian. In the meantime, I'll be checking for the third and final book in Braxton and Alex's story.

I'm not quite sure why this series hasn't gotten more attention because Blu Daniels is definitely a stand-out talent.

Another great read

This book was written from Braxton a.ka. Bad Habit's p.o.v. and it's just as hilarious as the first book . I was not prepared to like Bad Habit because of the way he treated Alex and his infidelity. However, the author managed to make the character likeable by showing the good things he does too. Even at his worst, he was all about his wife, kids, mom and other members of his family. I would definitely recommend this book.

Still bad!

While this sequel shed light on Bad Habit aka Braxton's behavior in book 1 and 2, I still couldn't believe some of the bone-headed, selfish, inconsiderate choices he made. But in the end the author tied it all together. And even though Alexandria chose to forgive and move forward, I'm not so sure I would have! Still, this was a good read and the emotions it evoked from anger, to sadness, to just plain frustration with the some of the characters is most definitely the result of good writing! I would have loved to get the third book referenced at the end, but I've heard that's no longer in the cards. So I'm ok with the high note it ended on instead.

His perspective

Bad habit aka Braxton was a arrogant, calculating, do anything to succeed type of guy. Getting his side of the situation with Alex shed a different light on the situation. He's still a jerk, but to see his issues highlighted was good. Alex is probably the only woman who could put up with him, they're both crazy! But cute with their quads and sasha.

Braxton was a dog! I hate that Alex put up with his dog fish ways. I read the story read several years ago, and I came back for more of Bad Habits nonsense. I really wanted
for Braxton to do better than I remembered. Nah! I guess we will never get book three ,since its been several years. I would love to see Alex flourish. I bet it had Kennedy in the mix! Huumm.

Wow! Bad habit had me ready to climb in the kindle and strangle him. Also, like book 1, I couldn’t put it down. The build up and execution of the angst kept me hooked!
I really enjoyed this series!

Glad for the sequel

I was not happy with Braxton in Misconceptions, at all. This book was so much better in explaining how Braxton thinks! I was happy to see the transformation of Alex as a mom. This book is good. Glad I gave it a chance.

Whew

This part was better. Braxton still made me want to shoot him in the leg, but he redeemed himself. Alex grew up some in this book. Hmmmm, maybe Brian and Kennedy?????

This book will make you rethink the term "Bad Habit".... Hell, maybe a "bad" habit isn't so bad for you after all!!! You will have lots of moments of deep, deep sighs!

description

BUT, I so appreciated the author staying true to Braxton being a bad habit. He didn't magically go from man THOT to real husband overnight. Although he married Alex, his behavior was that still of a man seen as a bad habit and not a husband. He acknowledged back in book one that he enjoyed having sex with Alex, but great sex wasn't enough for him to slide easily into the role of husband and father of four. He had to actually do the work, and have some folks call him on his ish before he realized he needed to be more than a provider, he had to step up emotionally and mentally because Alex deserved that.

This story had some twists, we got to see the quads as infants and experience their personalities. Braxton AKA Bad Habit had to swallow a hard pill that he was his fathers son in more ways than one, no matter how hard he tried to cover it up with his successes.

This books picks up with justice of the peace ceremony from the previous book (Misconceptions). Bad Habit really has some bad habits to say the least. He's trying so hard to not be like his dad the things the continually does puts him in the same category. He lack of communication and expressing his true feelings could cost him to lose everything he holds dear. Instead of blame others for his missteps and the fallouts from them he needs to really look inside himself for the answers as to why he keeps doing the same stupid sh$$. I thought Alex has come into her own, there is less whining from her in this book. Motherhood agrees with her. Braxton really should have come clean with all of his dirt before the Christening ceremony. He knows the rules, rule #13 never let a man or woman hold anything over you. He should have told Alex about Kennedy and work things out from there. Now this chick is Godmother to your kids and smiling in Alex's face, with best friends like that...

Fantastic !

I really did not want this novel to end . Braxton revealed that he can change and Alexandria really did have a back bone.
the the dynamics of their relationship , from the chemistry , romance, connection with the children .
I still wanna beat Braxton , but he still has this crazy assumption about not being like his daddy when he actually was , I'm glad it came all together for him . The reunion with his brother was on point, I laugh, cried, scream, and was rooting for their relationship. Oh! the children just loved the little ones, when Alex got sick I got extremely upset. Alexandria friend Kennedy needs her sister hood card revoked. Through it all Braxton won me over. Bravado Ms Blue I love your style of writing and your sense of humor ,your novels are excellent and you caught my attention and me glue to my seat , can't wait for the next adventures in the lives of Alexandria and Braxton pulse children.

Blu Daniels has created some very real characters. Readers will be hooked. Be warned Bad Habit is from a male perspective and so its more graphic with language and sex than Misconceptions was. It is a very hilarious, light hearted read. There were some serious moments but they don't compare in emotion to Misconceptions. I think Misconceptions nailed the comprehensive emotional package. Not saying that readers wont find Bad Habit emotional at times but for some reason it wasn't as gripping which is ok because Daniels has nailed the funny. She has nailed character development. I was ready for three when this was over. The editing... Misconceptions had some major editing flaws but the story outweighed the issue. Bad Habit is better edited but it too has several mistakes. It doesn't distract from the story but it is irritating. Daniels is going to have to fix that issue. But it is a good, fun read that will leave you wanting more.

Well, I am still frustrated with Mr. Earwoth after reading this story. However, it was a good read. Definitely a page turner. I still wanted to do all his wife did to him when she discoverd what had happend on his last trip to DC. It was about time. He won me over somewhat after he spent time with his wife and poured out his heart. He was faced with losing everything he held dear and made the right decision.

We are introduced to his brother who had more issues than he had but came to his senses quicker. I was on pens and needles for baby Alex. Each of those children are special and Alexandria has been an exceptional mother. Kennedy on the other hand needs a wake up call and her freind card revoked.

I feel a sequel coming on and I will be waiting anxiously for it...Thank you Ms. Daniels...great work

Very Very Good

Yeah!It is so refreshing to finally get a story on relationships that is so realistic. This story was done so well because we get to see the alpha male who is Braxton wrestle with his conscience on what is right and wrong. In this story we get to see Braxton deal with being a man and accepting what he knows he wants The writer does such a excellent job of giving us a real.look into this relationship, you get a feeling of knowing these characters. This is a job well done. The writer gives you such a grown-up view of a complex relationship that you get to see both sides and not chose. There are moments when you just want to scream, bust a gut from laughing so much and sigh at the romance that produces some steamy scenes. This was a grand slam of a follow-up.

Loved this book!

I bought this book because several members of my online book club, BRAB, recommended it, and I was not disappointed. This book picks up about six months after the birth of the quadruplets and it is told from Bad Habit's point of view. I have to say that Bad Habit definitely earned his name and he infuriated me at times. You learn why he acts the way he does. I enjoyed the ending.

I'm actually surprised I semi-liked this book, it definitely started out horrible but Braxton was able to get it together towards the end and woke up! The excuse he gives Alex as "why" he did the stuff he did was lame as hell but whatever...

Good

This book tells Bad habits points of view six months after the quadruplets are born. He is still up to no good and you learn more about his family. All his bad actions catch up with him when he runs into an ex. I enjoyed this book more than the first but still not to thrilled about Grafton.

Pretty good read

I was happy when Alex finally wigged out on Braxton. I thought he was going hinge able to resist the temptation. He failed but bounced back. He was just dirty. I'm glad they got their happy ending
