Ares and Charlotte were brought to King Leo's office, where he gave them a mission to do together. When they find out that they must spend time and work together, they are not happy about it.

Ares is a grumpy, loyal and protective man who doesn't want to meet his mate because he doesn't want the bond to make him weak and give the enemy another reason to attack.

Charlotte is a fierce, strong and kind girl who is excited to meet her man. She never gives up trusting that she will eventually find him, so she makes an effort to attend every Blood Moon Ball.

Even before the bond clicked, they had a deep connection without they knowing. They did not get along at the beginning; they simply chose to avoid interacting, but after that mission, they began to see each other differently.
I loved how grumpy Ares is and how Charlotte always frustrates him. I fully enjoyed their banter, just a chef's kiss. I also liked that Ares finally recognised she was the one he needed and that he would be stronger with her.
As a couple, they are the best.
I was delighted to read Ares's novella because it was delightful to see his personality and his POV.
I can't wait for the 2nd part of the story of my favourite couple of the series.

There is something to be said about a good book and this is definitely one, even if it is a novella. Ares Westwood is one of the Westwood Quints. He has often popped up in previous books in The Rossi Legacies, as well as The Alpha Series. We first met Charlotte in Book 3-4 of The Rossi Legacies, being the younger sister of the Arden twins Royce and Aleric.
Charlotte and Ares are both sent on a mission to Ares's grandmothers old pack territory to investigate strange activity. These two have a way of rubbing each other the wrong way. Ares is a grump who says what he wants regardless of whether others want him to or not. Charlotte isn’t afraid to push him back. During their mission the Blood Moon occurs. It is the beginning of journey full of discovering, that opposites often attract and you can find your destiny in the most unlikely of places. I have always liked these two separately. In fact I have a little soft spot for Ares. Well delivered in the style we are accustomed with by Muse, lots of laughs but with a few aww moments. It is a book I know I will revisit time and time again.

Couldnt put it down!!!

I literally read Shadowed Bond in one sitting! I got the book, started reading, and a few short hours later I was done. I just could not put it down!

I absolutely loved Ares and getting a deeper look into his head. Seeing his growth throughout the story, watching their relationship develop, and THE BANTER… I loved it all. I became so attached to these two, and I already can’t wait to see them again in future books.

That’s actually one of my favorite things about Moonlight Muse and this entire series. Even when a character’s story is finished, they don’t just disappear. We continue to see them in later books, and it makes you feel like you’re still part of their lives and this whole interconnected world.

I’ve been following this world since the very beginning, and I am absolutely hooked. Every new book just pulls me right back in.

Loved, loved, LOVED this one! If you’ve been following this series, you definitely need to read Shadowed Bond. And if you’re not following this world yet, you NEED to!!!

If you are like and really fall in love with the side supporting characters in books, then this one is for you if you love the Westwood brothers. I am so happy that Muse gave us this little novella in between her stories so we knew how Ares grumpy self got his HEA.
Ares is grumpy and wants nothing to do with mates or love and even Charlette Arden. I loved his inner thoughts about her and her hair as well as his inner thoughts about everyone else and the NICKNAMES he gave people had me dying.
Charlette does not take his crap ether and gives right back, the banter in this one was top tier and I couldn't get enough. These two were hot together and even though he wanted nothing to do with mates he came around in the end, but he wasn't changing himself for anyone and I loved how she accepted him as her grumpy mate. This one was so good.

I loved every moment of this novella and it was perfection, short yet filled with emotional depth and banter that had me beaming. The Legacies series is an absolute rollercoaster of emotions and this book provided some light relief in the continuing story arc. I love that each Westwood quintuple is different from the next and Ares was absolutely hilarious while being the ultimate grump, his bluntness was a joy to read. Charlotte was elegant and oozed class his complete opposite yet she could give Ares as good as he gave. Their banter was top tier, their dynamic was electric and I just loved them together. This book was a good time.

This series is honestly my favourite I have read and I can't recommend reading it enough but it needs to be read in order to follow the continuing arc.

Soooo Sweet!!!!

Shadowed Bond by Moonlight Muse is part of the Untold Tales of The Power of Bonds Saga and The Rossi Legacies. This is the perfect short read to lighten things up between books, especially with each one diving deeper into the war going on. Ares & Charlotte was unexpected but so much fun to read about. The banter back & forth is hilarious. Both portrayed they could barely stand the other to end up being fated to each other. Such an innocent & pure, sweet love. I very much enjoyed this one! I devoured it in less than a day if that says anything. Even the spice was sweet. I absolutely love these two!

I absolutely loved Ares and Charlotte together. They are complete opposites, but they complement each other so well.

I loved their banter and their back-and-forth, and how Charlotte was able to see past Ares's mask and realize that his nonchalance is actually he shows he cares.

I also enjoyed all the bread crumbs left by Muse in this novella for the main series plot. I can't wait to see what comes next.

Such an amazing novella! If you love the Rossi legacies series then you have to read this novella.
Book 9.5 of the Rossi Legacies series follows Charlotte and Ares.
Charlotte is a feisty princess and knows how to remain cool, calm and collected it any situation.
Ares is a grumpy alpha who cannot stand how proper and poised she is.
Sent on a mission together the tension and banter rise. On the mission they discover they’re fated mates, but their reactions are very much different.

Even tho this is just a novella is it jam packed with plot and a dash of spice that with have you devouring it and left wanting more!

Another Westwood boy mated! I love the Ardens and the Westwoods but Charlotte has had me in her corner since she was introduced.
Westwood Quint Alpha and Solaris Princess- the couple could not have been more different, one is calm and composed other is infuriating. They compliment each other perfectly. Their banter was entertaining. Charlotte is a princess but is so grounded, fierce and sharp while Ares is fiercely loyal and has his own love language.
Ares' nicknames for everyone had me ROTFL 🤣🤣🤣. A great novella by Muse and that gives another Westwood boy a HEA.

ARC review. I loved this novella! Don’t be deceived by Are’s grumpy nature or by Charlotte’s posh style because this two are a great match; one no one saw coming. After Sienna and Jayce take oath as the new leaders of the Blood Moon Pack, another Westwood quint will fall to his knees when a mission brings him face to face with his fated bond. The narrative delivers a good pace opposite attract spicy romance with captivating result. Definitely a must read!

Short novella with epic couple

The only thing with this book was it was too short🤣 I would suggest to make this book whole length, bcs this couple, their banter, romance, their cold demeanor towards each to each other, it was amazing, but one hell of a firework once the bond snapped in place. I had great time to read it and now I am paitiently waitting for Aldona’s and Theo’s conclusion 💞😍💗

The story was great and I was sad I read it so quickly but Muse has a style which makes you never want to put down her books. The story fit perfectly for Ares and I hope there is a book that has all the quins future stories with their mates and kids. I’m invested in this series!!

I still cry whenever I see Raven. And oh… Royce and Skyla… I feel for them so much.

I loved this novella. Both Ares Westwood and Charlotte Arden have appeared in other books of the Rossi Legacies and I enjoyed getting to know them better and seeing how they find out they are mates. A great single sitting read.

Love an opposites attract!

Ares is a hilarious grumpy wolf while Charlotte is the poised and polished arden princess. Throw in a little forced proximity and nest death experience and a blood moon and you get this delicious little read. A+

This novella was everything I didn't know I needed. Ares is an interesting character but he's never really been at the forefront of the Rossi/Westwood family sagas. Charlotte up until now has been a great supporting character. Together though they are EVERYTHING. 100% perfection, so different but perfect together. This novella was quirky and fun and really developed both characters in to leads and I loved it. Highly recommend this story. I'm sure it's the perfect segue back to "Haughty Heaven" and "Thickhead Theo".
