Beaten and broken down by the man who was suppose to be her happy ending, Cyn’s lost and alone, with no happy ending in sight.

I didn't like this one as much as I thought I would. I really wanted to see what happened with Cyn and I had liked her in Loving Lo. There were just so many OTT things that weren't explained. For instance:

There were just so many unanswered things that didn't make sense to me. I was left with more questions than answers.

I was glad we didn't have to hear about Rigid's past as much as we did in Lo's but still...sometimes one little sentence can ruin all the positive feelings you have when reading. Something he said went against everything he was portrayed as in the book and I hate when that happens. Then he pulls a douche move and it made me mad!

AND...I loved Meg in book 1 but I swear she got on my nerves in this one. Suddenly she's all bossy and bitchy and the whole thing with Remy was just ridiculous. If I had been Lo I'd have been pissed.

I really wanted to read Gravel & Ethel's story. I love when the H & h are older. But I swear, I'm not sure I'm in the mood for more unanswered shit.

- I like the ‘verse and the friendships : I picked this up because I saw some promise with the first book, Loving Lo, and I think there continues to be promise with the series. I like the friendships between Cyn, Meg and Troy and the Devil’s Knights also have good chemistry and camaraderie. Some of the highlights of the book are when they discuss their shared love of Sons of Anarchy. I would have liked to have seen a little less screaming at each other, but otherwise there’s decent banter between them all.

- WTFery rating is on the rise, but still mild : Part of what I liked is that they’re bikers but it was a fairly mild MC series. Last book was about a 1, but there’s more violence in this book than the previous one, so I’d rate it a 2. It fits the story being told and there’s potential for more as the series continues. These guys are trying to keep clean, but aren’t afraid to step it up in defense of their women and those they love, which I admit I enjoy.

- Rigid and Cyn have their sweet moments : When the time is spent with Rigid and Cyn and they actually speak, I think there’s a connection between the two. The teasing about Rigid’s real name, Cyn’s wish for a doughnut house, those were a bit wacky and had there been some real emotional scenes dealing with her assault, I think there would have been a good balance. However….

- Not alot of soul searching : What I expected was some time dealing with the fallout from Cyn’s assault and there is some, but there’s not alot of deep soul searching. I struggled with the repetitiveness of the first half of the book and the insistence of Rigid as well as other characters, wanting to “fix” Cyn. I would have much rather had them just admit they want to support her, and let her fix herself. In the end, she waffled back and forth for a while, but I wasn’t completely satisfied with the emotional component because there I felt I was told about their feelings, but not so much shown them. More attention was spent describing the food for their cookouts and Rigid packing than their emotional scenes.

- Not a standalone : I wouldn’t recommend reading this without reading the first book if only because there’s little recap of Rigid and Cyn’s first meeting or even a glimpse of it from their perspective, instead of what we saw/heard of it from Meg’s perspective in the first book. Honestly, it just added to the overall feel of insta-love between them. Sexy times are also mild, but considering she starts the story having just been assaulted, it makes sense.

- Continuity/typo errors : What I really struggled with were continuity, grammar and typographical errors. Normally I can gloss over an error or two, because those happen even with the big publishers. But there were quite a few here. For example, a character saying he’s seen the villain three times, then later in the book he’d only seen him once. Cyn has a broken arm but she’s gripping Rigid on the back of his bike with her broken arm, or carrying a plate of food and four drinks. So many missing little words or the incorrect version of them (such as to instead of too, you’re instead of your, hear instead of here). All these little things that distract and pull you out of the story and I think a good beta reader or editor should have caught that or at least questioned it. It just felt as if it was rushed to print.

description
It was ok and that’s mostly due to likeability of the characters. I really wanted to enjoy it, but there were a few too many missed opportunities - too little emotional buildup, too much repetitive dialogue and too many continuity/typos that took me out of the story too many times.

I loved Rigid way more than I thought I would. He was so patient and sweet with Cyn and was there for her when she needed him most. I also love that he wasn’t with an OW from the time he met her even though he couldn’t make her his at the time.

I received a generous ARC from the author for this book

A friend recommended Loving Lo (first book in the series) to me a while back, and I am a Biker Fan, so I read it and fell in love with this author's writing from the first page. So when I found out Rigid and Cyn was going to get their own book, I was like Whoop Whoop, I couldn't wait

From the first page this book had me captivated, everything Cyn went through was so heartbreaking and what I loved most about this book was that Rigid was there with her every step of the way.
Even though he didn't know what he wanted he stood by her side and helped her through what she was going through. I loved everything about Rigid, Mohawk, tattoos everything.
We get to see more of Lo and Meg and Lo's hilarious mother Ethel as well.
This book will keep you on the edge of your seat right through that you just want to get to the end to see what is going to happen

Winter Travis you have a fan forever, and can't wait to read Gravel's story

Thank you for allowing me to read your Awesome Book!

Four stars for Cyn and Rigid

Although I loved Meg and King's story a bit more, Cyn and Rigid came in a close second! This is definitely a series that you must read in order to truly know what is going on. We meet Cyn and Rigid in the first book of the series and even then they have interest in each other. The dynamics are off though because Cyn's ex-fiancé nicknamed, "asshat" has just been caught cheating on her while Rigid just doesn't "do" relationships. All of that changes when Cyn is found unconscious and bleeding are her living room floor.
I really love Rigid which is a surprise to me as he is not my typical looking book boyfriend! The only thing I wish is that we spent more time getting to know him. He is an interesting character with a intriguing but suspicious past. (It doesn't hurt that he's a hottie too!)
As I have said before this is a very light MC series with a ton of Insta-love but sometimes you just need that :)

Barely made it to 20% and the pushing away by the h is already frustrating. It already feels repetitive and again these people talk and act like they're in their teens! I'm tapping out on this series for now.

A sexy slow-burn romance.

After a brutal attack, Cyn is rightfully wary about opening herself up again, especially for someone so hard and wild as Rigid. But despite his tough demeanor, Rigid was surprisingly supportive.

He was protective and patient with Cyn. He was mindful of her bruises (not only the physical ones) and he showed that he truly cared for her.
She was resilient and, after feeling numb for a while, she was willing to stand up and take control of her life again.
I definitely liked them better than Lo and Meg. Rigid and Cyn were way more believable and I really wanted to see them together.
They deserved the love they found in each other.

I really liked book 1 (Loving Lo) in this series and was totally looking forward to book 2; however I was sadly disappointed in this one compared to book 1. Cyn and Meg turned into giggling, silly characters as opposed to the 30 something mature characters portrayed in book 1. Even the male leads reverted to characters portrayed as immature young men rather than mature men faced with a potential danger to their woman. Lots of screaming, bellowing and teenage behavior and the book had more of a NA/YA feel. I just couldn't get the total change in character representation as opposed to the first book. I really started to give a lower rating but realized this book will appeal to the readers who prefer the YA/NA feel and if they haven't read the first book. I like to have consistency in the character representation, not feel like I'm reading about totally different characters.

If there was a higher * rating to be had then this book Finding Cyn by Winter Travers would be receiving them. Rigid & Cyn are beautiful together, Meg & Cyn's friendship is great & there interaction with each other & the guys are so comical. This book had everything a Biker book should have, totally Alpha males, sexy kick ass funny chicks and a touch of grit. LOVED every word.

Cyn is hurt inside and out. The worst looks to be the outside but after what she went through... it's the inside. I've known a few people who went through a few of these things and it just breaks my heart to know it really happens to some.

Rigid wants Cyn when he first meets her but she is not a girl who likes to jump in a man's bed and does as he says. He can keep his mancho man to himself. When he sees Cyn when she is at her worst he decides he is going to be the one who takes care of her and heal her and take care of her and to deal with her problem. He can be such a sweet heart.... but can he handle the new Cyn?

This book was a heartbreaking ride. While I feel that the h got over what happened to her way too quick I can not imagine being in her shoes. Reading book 1 first is highly recommended both books are well worth the read

Quick ok read

I guess I was expecting the Cyn from book one so I was a bit disappointed with the one in this story. Otherwise, it had a bit of drama and some club business. I did like how they included Troy in everything even though he was a club member.

On their own, the female leads aren't bad. Cyn is comparatively more restrained and less zany than Meg, which is great.

Let's just say that Rigid is my new book boyfriend. He's H.O.T as damn I need a glass of water please.

Rigid was over protective of Cyn when he found out what her ex did to her. He stayed and took care of her day in and day out since she left the hospital. He literally put her back together and I'm pretty sure that is when Cyn fell for him. I love the sweet side of Rigid but I love the bossy side more ;).

Also, we see a lot of King and Meg. These two crack me up so much. Love them.

Over all, I love the book and def will continue reading from this author. Up next, Gravel.

“I wasn’t going anywhere until I found the Cyn who had captured my breath and became my air. I needed her.
Forever.”

“Sorry. You’re just kind of surprising me. You know, being nice and all.”
“You keep that nice shit to yourself. As far as all those fuckers in the clubhouse know, I’m an asshole. Sleep.”

“I grabbed my boots, sliding my feet into the. “You might want to put a shirt on,” Meg giggled from the couch.
I looked down, realizing I had only jeans and boots on, no shirt.
Fuck me.”

“No!’ I yelled, knocking his hand away from my face. ‘I mean, yes I’m in shock, but no, I love you. I know you think I don’t mean it, but I do. I don’t want to live without you. I can’t live without you. I love you with everything I am Rigid. I’m not going to change my mind or take it back when this all wears off, I love you,” I babbled.”

“No matter what, I will always come home to you, Cyn. You’re all I need. If I don’t have you to come home to, I have nothing. I love you with all that I am. I’m yours,” he vowed.”

Cyn and Rigid's story was highly emotional. Cyn has suffered many losses that have led to devastation and now she is lost broken-hearted and withdrawn. Meg her best friend can not even get through to her but, the sexy Biker she met in Vegas Rigid is about to turn Cyn's life upside down but in a good way with friendship, love, hard truths, compassion listening, and understanding.

We loved that we saw her reclaim her old life and become the girl she once was vibrant, and funny. Cyn and Ridgid made an awesome couple their chemistry is beautiful and hot. Both have seen the fair of trouble and disappointments and issues with trust but, they find common ground healing one another in the process of finding love. Such a great series with awesome characters we loved it.

Ms. Travers has done it again. I loved Loving Lo and Finding Cyn was the perfect follow up to this lite MC Romance Series. Not all MC Romance Novels need to be dark, gritty and heartbreaking.

Rigid is a hero that stands by his woman through some very difficult and challenging times. His strength and support are what brings Cyn back from a devastating experience and she realizes she is worthy of love.

Bravo Winter!! Now bring on the next book.

FROM RIGID TO RELAXED.
At first I wasn't sure how I felt about Rigid's character because he seemed too cocky like he was God's gift to women because he was a big badass biker and Cyn should want him in Jer bed. Cyn was definitely attracted to him but she knew he was just looking for one and done and that's exactly what he wanted at the time.
She was engaged to Nick who Meg and Troy hated and didn't think he was good enough for her and then he proved them right by cheating on her so she broke it off and cancelled the wedding. But she decided to have her bachelorette party anyway, celebrating getting rid of Asshat which is what she and Meg started calling him. Then when Cyn finds out he left something unexpected behind she called him to meet at her house to tell him and let's just say he didn't take the news well and he showed Cyn how he felt about it.
That's when the Devil's Knights MC showed up with A terrified and scared Meg. Scared what they were gonna find and what they find is both shocking and heartbreakingly. I had tears in my eyes. This sends the Knights into a fit of rage and they take off on the hunt for Asshat only to fund out he's a cousin to Big A of the Assassins, an enemy of the Devils Knights. Rigid vows to protect Cyn and never let anyone hurt her again. He begins to change right before her eyes he starts to become much more relaxed and less cock just alpha. Lol. When Cyn and Meg start trying to guess Rigid's real name I was cracking up. Lol! And then when they started explaining about the donut house I just lost it! LOL!! It was so heartwarming to watch Cyn getting Jer strength back in big part to Rigid. She started growing closer to Rigid and the club brothers. I don't think she expected to like them and I think she even grow kinda fond of Gravel in a fatherly way. The excitement of finding Asshat had me bouncing in my seat and reading faster to find out what they were gonna do to him. The thought of what they did is sickening but satisfying. Lol. Now I can't wait to find out what the Assassin's are up to next. The ending had me smiling and left me wanting more. And can I just say Cyn and Rigid definitely made up for lost time and HOLY FREAKIN MOLY did they make up. Lol. I highly recommend this series to everyone.

This is the second book in Winter's Devils Knight series. I enjoyed it more than the first. It brings back all your fave characters and follows Cyn and Rigid as they overcome so much. Sometimes I read stories and I'm like why do they act so young? Then I remember I'm old and when I was that age, I probably had some brainless moments. LOL. I mainly found myself irked with the lack of communication. It drives me nuts.

Cyn is recovering from being beaten almost to death. I liked her personality overall. She was a young woman who was determined to rise above the abuse. I also liked that her journey to healing wasn't over just when she got better. Winter wrote it beautifully to show you don't heal overnight. There are some things I want more on, but I have a feeling I have to wait as the story continues to the next one.

Rigid finally figured Cyn was what he wanted. He definitely had some pigheaded moments that made you want to scream. He also had some genuine moments where his heart was on his sleeve. That bathroom scene where you could feel his desperation for her was heart-wrenching. He wanted to battle her demons and defeat them.

The club has its own tension that builds in this story. I like how Winter has made it tie in with the story. She definitely kept you guessing on some parts.

All of our favorites are back in this story. I enjoyed how the first story flowed into the second. While we are focusing on different main characters now, we aren't left feeling like we missed anything on previous issues. this makes the world Winter created feel right. You can picture being there. Overall I found this one enjoyable and felt it flowed better than the first. Pieces of the bigger picture are being put together with the MC. I am invested in this series and cannot wait to read everyone's HEA.

I am going to give this one 5 Point Shoes. I would read it again and recommend it to a friend.

Rigid is a hard as nails, tough, get the job done kind of guy. He might like his sex a little rough sometimes but he doesn't like hurting women, he fell for Cyn when they first met but knew she had just broken up with the guy she was supposed to marry. This picks up where the first book ends as Meg, Lo, Rigid and others arrive to find her beaten and almost unconscious. It is intense and a powerful story, a battle of Cyn recovering and healing, not just her injuries but mentally as well, she has to fix herself but in doing so has help and unequivocal support from her friends and from Rigid. The start of this was really painful, her pain and struggles, her feeling so broken, but as the story moves on and with the support it became inspirational as she grew and her confidence started raising back up to the surface. I loved her strength and I loved Rigid, how he acted and teased, even when he grumbled I could see him bringing her back to life. There is a little graphic violence but it's a tiny scene and deserved, I actually wanted to be a part of it. I did spot a few mistakes and some things that I didn't feel would have been capable at those times but I concentrated on the main focus of the story and really it didn't spoil it for me, I know some readers can be overly harsh on these things but if a story and plot are strong enough it can overcome them. I think this was sensitively handled considering the beginning, it held my attention and I was empathetic to the characters and invested in the ending, shock of shocks though we do end on another cliff which leads straight into book 3, good job I have the box set. Great twists and I loved that Troy is also pulled in and plays his part as well as opposed to being left on the sidelined after his friend is hurt. Fabulous.

Book Review : Finding Cyn ( Book 2 of the Devil's Knight Series ) I read the first book and just had to read the second book of the series and I will be reading the others in this series. This book is about Cyn and Rigid and their life. Cyn is a really broken woman after a terrible night with a man she thought was her forever man, She was once strong and believed in herself and took care in everything about herself. And the sprankle in her eyes were bright. But she became weak and seem like she didn't care no more. She was breaking down right I front of her friends and her sprankle is gone from her eyes. And then we have Rigid and he's the Sgt at arms for the Devil's Knights Motorcycle Club and he totally loves the club life .And boy does the thoughts of settling down terrified him . But when he founds Cyn broken and needing help ,an urge comes over him to protect her and boy was it consuming him. They was no way he was going to walk away from her. But deep inside there was a need for vengeance and it was starting to take over. All he wanted was to fix Cyn and bring that sprankle back to her eyes . I also liked how Author Winter Travers implemented the characters from the first book in this book , it was like seeing old friends again. I could go on and tell you more but I don't give away spoilers , so go and pick up a copy and enjoy.

NO rating yet b/c I'm only 30% in but I'm already ready to ditch this one. I don't like to dnf, so I'll muddle through but I'm definitely way past it already. Meg is a completely different character in this book. whiny and bellowing, yelling and screaming and crying constantly. In fact so is EVERYONE in this book. It's like tween drama OVER and OVER and OVER again and again and again. I get something traumatic happened, but these aren't young kids. These are older adults so ACT LIKE IT. Why is everything YELLING and SCREAMING and BELLOWING and CRYING. It's just so very annoying. And after only seeing her one night when she is drunk in the previous book he decides she is it for him? It's just way too insta.

Anyway, I'm going to keep going in the hopes it settles and becomes more realistic and less of the ridiculous. I feel like if Meg and Lo were gone from this book, I'd like it much better. I hate in series when I feel like the previous H/h are pushed into the story but they don't actually add to it and instead just make it harder to actually enjoy the story.

Ugh. I'm probably being way too harsh and will edit this later, but I'm so disappointed after how much I loved the first one.

For me this book was just okay. I didn't get any connection with Ridge and Cyn. He see's her at a bar in the first book and claims her but then goes for awhile before he even sees her again. If she hadn't been beaten by her ex when would he have made his move. Also Cyn didn't even like him in book one and then bam book 2 and she can't be without him. The drama was so over dramatic IMO. Meg was all over the place and I didn't get her at all in this book. It was like reading about a bunch of teenagers with the way they acted.
After all was said and done then for Ridge to just disappear and act like a baby I didn't get what the author was trying to accomplish. Don't create drama just for the sake of it.
I also felt like parts were a repeat of book one with the name thing. Only the heroin was allowed to call them by their real names.
This was so over the top it was almost ridiculous.

2nd book a bit better than book 1

Ok, I read and reviewed book 1 back in 2017. I started reading this author with Skidrow Kings Series and until late 2017 have never read this series. But, better late than never.

I have loved Rigid from book 1 so I was looking forward to him and Cyn. More tensions with the club are starting and becoming a storyline, which I like. You already know there is tension between Cyn and Rigid because previous he tried to hook up with her.

In the end finding acceptance of who we are and seeing beauty within shines on the outside.
Steady burn 3 out of 5 stars.
Good drama 4 out of 5 stars.
Interesting characters 5 out of 5 stars.
Overall story is 3.5 but can't give halves on here so will round up to 4 out of 5 stars.
On to book 3

I wasn't sure I'd continue this series after the first installment, but I figured I'd give the author one more try. Now, I think I'm done.

Way too much repetition. While Rigid doesn't use a pet name in every sentence, it's pretty close. Cyn's attack left her "broken" - the same issue which plagued Meg in the first book. Many other similarities existed also.

What confused me was Cyn's attack.

Typos, wrong use of words, missing punctuation were all present as well. Much potential, but poor execution.

This book is actually pretty good. Cyn has been through a lot but even so she is a horror .... but eventually she wins me over and gets her attitude in check .... MEG however .... she is awful ... This is not her book, I really don't understand why she is in it so much ... she is a selfish, self centered, whiny pain in the butt and I really don't see why any man would put up with her crap .... definitely fantasy land here ....
Honestly if it wasn't for Meg, I would have given this a 5 star. Meg completely ruins it for me ... i truly hope we don't see much more of her in the rest of the series ...
