Rate this book
***WARNING!!! This book is a Part 1 and contains a heavy cliffhanger that will not be resolved until Part 2, True Traitor is released at the end of July 2015!***

Gracus Adrastor, First Commander of the ship Adaria, had been circling the planet Earth for more than two years now. At first, he had been more than content to stay where he was and help direct and assist the alliance forces on the planet. But the more he had to watch his best friend Scaden with his mate Cari, the more he wanted to get off the ship and just get away. From everyone.

Taking Ivint up on his offer of a three month vacation on the planet, Gracus decided that a road trip across the country would be a great idea. Not only would he be alone for once, he’d get to see the planet close up instead of from thousands of miles above it.

Rebecca Carson was a very small town kind of girl. And as a river guide in Colorado, she was able to live her dream of having the best of both worlds. Solitude and outdoor living. Until one very large and very strange man came along and wrecked her peaceful life.

Forced together under desperate circumstances, Rebecca and Gracus will be caught in a life and death game that neither of them had been prepared for… and neither may survive. Their only chance will be to put aside their own pride, rely on each other and hope like hell they can pull off the impossible.

The lost.

Gracus takes his first vacation in 50 years and ends up in Colorado.
Rebecca Carsons is a wilderness guide who finds him passed out in the forest.
As soon as Gracus sees Becca he knows she's his mate. Becca thinks that he is a pothead to begin with and doesn't understand the feelings that she developing for him. She is on the way to check out a cave mentioned in her grandfather's journals.
From then on this book is non stop action but I'll warn you that this is a cliffhanger!

Read in time sequence order

I learned the hard the First Wave and Second Wave should be read in sequence of events order (author provides reading order). Gracus and Rebecca meet in unusual circumstances but little do they know they've got one neck of fight ahead of them to stay together and stay alive.

Grounded

There were many times I literally laughed out loud at some of the antics of Gracus. This is one of my favorite books in the series

I have to say that I have really enjoyed this series so far.
Ground Gracus is a great addition to this series. I like the part with the bears and pot candy. No worries the author assure us that No bears were harmed in the making of this book! There is plenty action, drama, humor and romance to keep you reading.
I do strongly recommend you read the other books in the series first, it would be hard to understand everything that is going on if you don't. The author gives a nice warning about it being a cliffhanger but the good news is the next one is out and it is just as good or better, cause I read it right after this one without stopping

Another great story

I really love this series. The characters are so interesting and likeable that you easily become invested in what happens to them. I love, love me some Gibly. He always makes the story more interesting and exciting. I am not a fan of cliffhangers but a new story was just too tempting. I am so glad that I got the book. It is a wonderful addition to the series. Hope this is helpful to you.
