Never pause, never doubt, never yield. Rise and fight.

Valerie thought she understood loss. Her entire life has been defined by it. But now, she is facing the most frightening loss of all. Her own mind is slipping away, consumed by the power that burns through her every time she saves a life.

As the Fractus sweep across Earth, using the strength of their magic to subjugate the powerless, Valerie struggles to lead the resistance, constantly one step behind her enemy. When Reaper taps into a powerful new source of magic, Valerie knows that solutions that worked in the past won't be enough to defeat him. She'll have to reimagine how magic can be harnessed in order to combat a force dark enough to dark enough to enslave all of humankind.

In the final novel of The Conjurors Series, Valerie must bury her pain and uncertainty deep inside of her and make the hardest decisions of her life with no one to guide her. The fate of two worlds depends on it.

I'm not really sure where to begin - this was an excellent conclusion to the series! The story came to a satisfying close, with just the right amount of epilogue. It was wonderful watching these characters and the story grow through a war that was more realistic than I expected, where not all battles are easily won, and people die.

It was great seeing some of the more prominent characters from the previous books take a bit of a backseat, and more of the less explored characters were developed - I really liked seeing Henry's progression in particular. I also enjoyed the expansion of Valerie's vivicus abilities, and getting to explore other, some more tangible, forms of magic.

I've really grown attached to these characters and had a great time reading this book, an addition that easily lives up to the previous books. As with the previous books, definitely recommended for fans of YA fantasy - it was wonderful finding a series that only got better as it went on!

so on June 25th I started book 2.Now I'm done..Or am I? What a truly great way to round out the Conjurors series. The Edge of Pathos, was sent to me from Kristen herself as were the books 2 and 3..I am by far from being a young adult. Even further from being a vivicus.Once again Kristen combines her storytelling with a twist ofagic that takes you into the realm of the globe. This time the battle is drawing to its biggest fight yet..But can Valerie and the Pillars of Light save the magic between Earth and the Globe and bind it together for good,or will Reaper and the Fractus, destroy everything? I'm grateful for the opportunity to have read this series. If you are looking for a writer who can smoothly transition and continue from one story to the next.Who can allow you to use your imagination. Then you have found her

What a fantastic end to an amazing series!! I love the way Pham tackles depression in the magical world. It's so real, so raw. Valerie really steps up and grows into an adult in this book - romance and all. No character is left behind as Pham ties up all the loose ends.

Thank you Ms. Pham! I cannot explain how many times I was at the edge of my seat with anticipation or on the verge of crying. I'm so pleased with how this series ended.

There are many books that I have read in my life. I adore reading and the stories I find. It took me time to get to the final three books in this series but when I finally did.....I'm so happy I did.

The ending of this series was all I wished for it and more. It upset me to lose the ones that were lost but I believe it made the story better in the long run. Those loses add more to the turmoil that Val had to face with Henry. I laughed, I cried and I let out a very happy roar every once in a while.

Thank you Kristen for creating the world of the Globe and for ending the story the way you did. You left it open for travel between the worlds and I look forward to you going back to that world someday.

Incredible end to an excellently well written saga. I look forward to reading more of your work in the future and if you ever return to this saga I only hope that I can share the stories with others as I will these!

The series improved vastly from the first book. Still, I didn't hesitate to put it down smack in the middle of the pivotal fight at the end - to clean out the air filter on my air conditioner - so I can't say it was great. It was a relief not to read about traveling by rollercoaster or characters who live in rooms decorated entirely in candy. I teared up when a particular character died, and that's sort of my test for whether I've been able to connect with the characters. This was, I'd say, a near miss, since I think given the role of that character I probably should have been bawling. There was a lot here to like, maybe I'm just overly snobby about what I read.

I really enjoyed this series. It is well written and the author explains without it being a long, drawn out and boring read. The characters grow and are fleshed out. The whole concept is well developed.

Woah... what to say about this series, there were some issues with the earlier books including the excessive repetitiveness of Valerie's feelings but I still loved it! The writing got significantly better as the books went on and I am very impressed at the author's imagination.

I really liked all the characters and the fact that heroes and villains aren't stereo-typically good and bad but complex. I also really liked the world and the romance although The plot got significantly better as each book progressed as well. Some parts were really slow and with so many characters I almost stopped reading but I'm glad I didn't as the ending was so good.

I will be following this author for her future books.

Having now read the last book in this series, I am even more impressed with Kristen Pham's writing. Such a wonderful series. An amazing set of characters that make you care about them from page one. An absolutely beautiful setting that make me want to be there. So clearly written you could see the world in your mind's eye. It takes great skill to achieve that and this book and the first three in the series accomplish that. And an ending that was plausible and fitting. Wonderful writing and I still say it would make a great movie series. Thank you for allowing me to read you books. It was an honor and a pleasure.

FINALLY!

This book was absolutely stellar. I have positively devoured the entire series. Kristen Pham is a spectacular storyteller and I have been in love with her Conjurors series since I discovered it on Wattpad. The finish was heartbreaking and uplifting all at the same time and I am so pleased to have lost myself in her world.
Thank you so much for a wonderful reality break!

Good vs Evil

Although this four book series was written for young readers, this senior citizen thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline flowed from the first book through the last book in the series with complex characters, and enough twists and turns to keep the reader's interest. I look forward to more stories from Kristen Pham. Enjoy!

Fantastic series although I found my frustration mounting the ending was very good

I enjoyed the series but did become frustrated with the incompetence displayed by Elisabeth. The love trust was actually annoying...lol but still good reading!

WHY?!?!

Okay, for reals, I LOVED THIS SERIES!!! I'm gonna be totally honest with you right now. So why would I give it a three star rating you ask? Well even if you didn't ask I'm gonna tell you anyway- and FYI, there will be some spoilers. Why, Kristen Pham, why I ask you, would you make someone so invested in a character, so entertained by a character for FOUR BOOKS, and then KILL THE CHARACTER IN THE END?!?! Cyrus was seriously one of the best characters in this book, and readers such as I totally "bonded" with him. I say this in a totally non-creepy way, because you know what I mean. I'm just saying we were invested in the character, and then you killed him. And not only that, but there were WAY too many deaths in this book. I totally feel like you could have gone without killing Dulcea especially, because the book didn't benefit AT ALL from killing her. Most of the time, killing someone in a book befits the book somehow. It toys with the readers emotions, making them feel connected to the person somehow, and then having it lead up to something spectacular that never would have happened had not the character died- a bittersweet moment, dare I say. But all of the characters that were killed died for no reason! It was pointless!
I honestly feel like you shouldn't have made both Thai and Cyrus in love with her, it just made it so confusing and so sad and it gave the book absolutely no hope. The only reason why I continued to read and pressed on to the end is because I loved the first three books, and I would never forgive myself not knowing what would happen in the end. I still had that sliver of hope, which ended up being squashed- and that's not how an entertaining book should end- with absolutely no hope. Now, I AM SO SO SORRY for rating this book three stars! I would love nothing more than to think this book deserved five- but I am just giving my honest opinion that the fourth book should be the grand finale, not a let down. I truly am sorry about that, since the first three were just so great.
