Very nice collection to have, the stories are also present in the game as different books.

Well if you got the first two books, you can as well consider this a must have. The Arcane part of the book is rather small unfortunately. Most of it is about the aedra and daedra and several treatises and stories with religion as its central theme. Plus the longest fiction in game which is the account of the last year of the first Era (2920). Which was a nice enough read and one I would never have gone through while in game. Glad I did. And now I can proudly say that I have read everything there is to read within the game of Skyrim! Hooray! (what a cheat I am...)

Drem Yol Lok. Greetings.

I want to go where nightshade blooms
And two moons greet each other each night
Where the Wolf Queen sits on her hallowed throne
And the Calm taught the Storm to sing

I want to go where Blackreach lies
And ancient warriors never rest
Where the Daedra chose their champions
And stones call to the heavens

I want to go where the Wolfblood howls
And the Night Mother whispers to those who Listen
Where the Nightingale becomes shadow
And the Eye waits for its master

I want to go where Vampires roam
And the First and Last shall meet
Where fragments of creation are bound in a scroll
And the Dragonborn has come

I want to go where Words have Power
And Shouts echo through thunderous skies
Where the mighty Heroes feast in their Halls
And Saviours rest under eternal stars

I want to go where the Dragons rise
And their Voice will carry us into a New Age

Hmmm.

The Skyrim Library Volumes (I, II, & III) are an excellent, 3-part series that includes all 300-plus book entries from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Regardless if you're well versed in Elder Scrolls lore, or (like me) you're diving in to Skyrim for the first time, these books are endlessly fascinating and very informative. The included artwork and sketches are beautiful and well crafted as well. This is well worth your money if you're even remotely interested in the world of Skyrim, or the The Elder Scrolls, in general.

It's basically the same as the other two. The drawings are a bit less though. And it seems to me that the magic system is underrepresented.

The 2920 series is very good though, but would have been better suited with the History side of things. but that probably would've screwed up page count.
Unfortunately all that this series does is make me lament the fact that we don't have more epic full sized TES novels.

This one took me a bit to get through. It had its moments, but I liked the second volume better. There were bits of this book that took me a few days to get through certain sections, and other bits that I couldn't put down. After reading the entire series, I probably won't come back to it, but it was fun to learn a little more of life in Tamriel.

I think that by the third volume, I was just a little burnt out. It took me forever to get through this book. But, I still enjoyed a lot of this volume. I skipped around a bit and only fully read the ones that interested me while skimming the others. My favorites were The Cake and The Diamond as well as the entire section on Daedra.

Out of the three books, this one took the longest for me to finish because it mainly focused on the specificities of the races and religion/the creation of Nirn. Those types of things are pretty boring to me so I zoned out a lot and found myself re-reading pages. But I’m glad to say I’ve now read every book in Skyrim! Happy that I powered through.

just a heads up: there are several editing errors in the “2920: the last year of the first era” section. sometimes there were no spaces between words, spaces between letters that shouldn’t be there, and one instance of the headings not being in bold like the others and not spaced properly.

other than that, it’s fine.

This is a brilliant book for a sad person like me that wants the entire Skyrim library in a physical copy.

Even if it's missing stories such as "The Horror of Castle Xyr" and "Silence", it still has a great handful of stories.

My favorite volume of the three! I like that they included the runed pages from the Oghma Infinium as well. My favorite stories were the collection for "2920, The Last Year of the First Era".

This is the third and final book in the Skyrim Library trilogy. And you can guess from the title that this deals with magic in all its forms. The sections are split into books on Magicka, Religion, The First Era, Aedra, Daedra and the Gods. This has two of the biggest series of books in this collection. That being The Charwich-Koniinge Letters and The Last Year of the First Era.

We begin with the Charwich-Koniinge Letters. Then we have details on the Great Collapse of Winterhold, the Elder Scrolls, Necromancers, The Psijiic Order and the different types of magic which can be used in game.

Moving on to religion. Religion plays a major role in Skyrim, the whole civil war between Imperials and Stormcloaks kicks off because of the ramifications of a peace treaty from a bigger war previously with the Aldmeri Dominion and one of the concessions was the outlawing of the worship of the Nordic God Talos. There is a gigantic list of all the divine spirits of Tamriel, including different Aedra and Daedra. Akatosh, Arkay, Alduin, Azura, Boethiah, Dibella, Kyne, Malacath, I could go on but there are pages of them. Then we of course have the books details the outcome of outlawing the worship of Talos, how Markarth was captured back from the Empire by the Reachmen and then in turn captured back by Ulfric Stormcloak in exchange for free worship which was then rescinded. All twelve books of the Last Year of the First Era are included here in all their glory, which I found really interesting. There are so many different types of stories on magic, deception and history that it would be impossible to list them all here.

As always with this series the artwork is just gorgeous.
