If I didn’t have adulting to do, I’d finish this book in one go!
It continues the story, but adds another POV—Rose. Let me tell you, Rose was AMAZING! Maybe it’s because I really enjoy military perspectives, but Daniel put Rose’s military training and mindset into the world similar to that of Dungeon and Dragons. It was so creative because I haven’t heard, read, or seen this type of creative idea before—and I’m here for it!
Probably my favorite quote: “And now,” […] “you are nothing but a shell of your former self, my love. No more god than I am a waking nightmare.”
(There’s another one, but I don’t want to spoil the book!)
The author also gives a a SNEAK PEEK at a spin-off series at the end!! You heard me!!! A spin-off series!!
Oh! Also, it’s good to know Daniel also provides a pronunciation guide at the back of the book so you don’t have to sit there and feel silly trying to not sound like a babbling baby. Lol! But walk in confidence that you know how to say the names, species, and places!
To sum it up, this series will be every D&D player’s favorite book series.
