Marlee is a new-to-me author, and she didn't disappoint with Briggs and Adair's story. Briggs is one of the founders of CDV Security, a private security firm. Adair works as a bartender in The Bar, and she has admired Briggs on previous visits, nicknaming him the Hot Guy since she didn't know his name. Briggs also admired her, nicknaming her the Gorgeous Bartender since he didn't know her name either. One rainy night, Briggs gives her a ride home, and they end up together. Briggs is done and dusted; he only does one-night stands. However, Adair falls harder and is smitten with Briggs. What will happen when there are unexpected results from their one-night stand? However, Adair is keeping secrets from Briggs; she's running from a stalker in her past. Briggs is working on a case that might pull him into Adair's world. The author keeps you turning the pages with Briggs and Adair's relationship and Briggs's need to keep Adair safe from her stalker.

Loved It

I loved this book. The characters were interesting and I loved their interactions with each other. I liked the way some of the facts that made them the way they were didn’t reveal until later in the book. There were surprises right up until the end of the book. This book would make a good movie.

Omg! I couldn’t stop reading this book! The plot twist with the pregnancy and with Sean the stalker 😱 Briggs and Adair had amazing chemistry right from the beginning.

The story for Briggs and Adair was so easy to get into and made you want to continue reading to figure out all the twists and turns it was making. Would highly recommend reading if you enjoy a good plot with a fair amount of steam theoughout the book.
