She has built her life around control. Successful, intimidating, and fiercely independent, she doesn’t need anyone.
Especially not HIM.
Cocky, charming, and entirely too good at getting under her skin. He is everything she avoids. But when a business trip to Seattle forces them into proximity, months and months of tension finally become impossible to ignore.
What happens in Seattle is supposed to stay there. No expectations. No feelings. No complications.
Except one night turns into something neither of them planned, and the man she never intended to trust might be the one who makes her question everything she thought she wanted.
This is a spicy contemporary workplace romance filled with forced proximity, grumpy x sunshine tension, sharp banter, family dynamics, and a fiercely independent heroine learning that having it all doesn’t have to mean doing it alone.
K.V. Thorn writes contemporary romance that hits you right in the feels. The kind of story where first loves haunt you, second chances tempt you, and the heart always wants what it wants.
When she’s not crafting love stories, you can find her sipping too much coffee, planning her next trip, and obsessing over the perfect playlist for her next book.
ARC REVIEW: ✈️✨ First of all, I couldn’t stop smiling during the first chapter! I absolutely love how Nico gets under Naomi’s skin. Their interactions had me grinning, and the banter was definitely one of my favorite parts of this book. One thing I wasn’t expecting was how much spicier this book would be compared to the first one. 🥵 Let’s just say Naomi and Nico bring the heat!
Also, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? Honestly, a dream! The whole holiday atmosphere and the way everything unfolds made me wish I could experience something like that myself. Not gonna lie, I was a little envious. 😂
Overall, I enjoyed the story, but I did feel like the pacing was a little too fast for my liking. I wish we had gotten more time to explore Naomi and Nico’s individual personalities and see their relationship develop a little more. Everything happens so quickly that, at times, I felt like something was missing. I wanted to sit with those moments a little longer and get to know them on a deeper level.
One thing I did appreciate, though, was how the author included little glimpses of Theo and Sam. I always love getting to see familiar characters again and catching up with them. That said, I really enjoyed the MC’s chemistry, the teasing, and especially the banter between them.
And now I’m already wondering… who’s next in Book 3?! Could we be getting Harper’s story? Maybe Rose’s? Or will we get to explore more of Elena’s story? 👀 I’m definitely curious and excited to find out!
Thank you, K.V. Thorn, for allowing me to be part of the ARC readers. I truly appreciate the opportunity! 🩷
I love a good romance book but this one I couldn’t put down! Seeing Naomi’s character change from controlling to go with the flow was amazing. Nico the one who got under her skin and made tensions rise between them was top tier. Not to mention the banter between the two! A good workplace romance with spice and lots of champagne! Even Nico was willing to change for her and the way he values her.. UGH go read this book it really sets the bar!
This was a ridiculously sweet sequel to Never Not Yours!! I absolutely loved Naomi and Nico, they were hilarious with their banter, and super hot together! I'm also SO in love with the timing of the surprise at the end, not many books have that later on but I feel like it was done just right!
