***NEW YORK TIMES & USATODAY Bestselling Series***
Love is what makes us. It’s also what breaks us.
If this is true, Rowen just became the proverbial wrecking ball to Jesse’s life.
Upon discovering Rowen is pregnant after taking every precaution to ensure otherwise due to a life-threatening heart condition, Jesse is forced to face too many harsh realities and they send him into a desperate, dark place. To consider the possibility that he might lose his wife and unborn child is too much for Jesse to bear.
The situation is out of his control, so he gloms on to the few things he can control. Like noting Rowen’s every move, or dialing the doctor whenever her face goes a shade pale, or even acknowledging the fact he’d be willing to make a deal with the devil in exchange for his wife’s and child’s lives. There’s nothing he wouldn’t do or give or sacrifice to keep them from harm.
But what happens when the devil takes that deal Jesse struck, and the tables turn? A life for a life. A soul for a soul. A heart for a heart. His life for theirs.
Love is what makes us. It’s also what breaks us.
Love’s made Jesse and Rowen. Love’s about to break them too.

The last book in the series was just a really long epilogue.
In the previous book Losers Weepers we've found out that Rowen is pregnant and that she also has heart condition. She should have had an operation, but she got knocked up before she could undergo it so her pregnacy is a highrisk one.
Jesse turned from an easy-going, hard-working, rational guy into someone who barely sleeps, is neurotic and tries to do everything for everyone.
The whole book covers the time she was pregnant and then a short epilogue jumps forward couple of time into the future.
It was too long for me. Every page was the same as the previous one it got a bit boring at times. If it were done as a novella instead of novel it could (and probably would) be better and higher rated.
This was the first book where I liked Rowen more than I liked Jesse.
But otherwise I liked seeing Jesse's & Rowen's and Garth's & Josie's endings.
This whole series was pretty great and I enjoyed myself immensely. I'll definitely look up more Nicole Williams' books.
Thank you for giving us Jesse Walker. He is the most perfect guy a girl could want..... He loves like no other, he's not afraid to show it and he most certainly let's you know it.
<3
I was afraid of this book just from LOSERS weepers and from the synopsis... I had a right to be afraid. This book managed to both tear me down and then build me back up. The prologue had me sobbing... and although I shed so many tears, I also laughed a lot too.
This series gave me a family to love. Friends to admire and a story that will live with me for a long time. It ended just the way it needed too.
I will admit that I would LOVE to have more... There are a couple of other story lines that I'd love to see explored. Lily, and of course Rose and Neil.
“To be strong, you have to know your weaknesses, confront them, and ultimately accept them. A person isn’t strong because they lack weakness but because they don’t let it guide them.”
I can't believe it's all over. I'm sad but also happy to know they all have their HEAs.
Jesse Walker and Garth Black will always be my two favorite Cowboys.
I can't even put what I'm feeling into words honestly.
okay, so. This was the end of this 5 book series and wow it was a ride. I loved the first book with all my heart, the second one was good, the third one and the fourth ones changed the main character and those were my ABSOLUTE favorites. And this one, that came back to the original characters, was boring. I was expecting so much more, but the story was dull. (Except for the ending, WTF THAT WAS SOOO DRAMATIC). Still, this series has a place in my heart. I love Nicole William’s ability to write romance and lovable characters.
I binge read the first four books in Nicole William's Lost and Found series back in February not realizing that there was a fifth book that hadn't been released yet. So I was super upset when I finished Losers Weepers and had to wait four months for Heart & Soul to be released.
Heart & Soul is the final book in the Lost and Found series and it wraps up Jesse and Rowen's story. Jesse and Rowen have been through a lot since the beginning of their relationship, but life isn't done with them yet. Rowen has a heart condition and her and Jesse have been taking every precaution possible to prevent her from straining herself. But when Rowen finds out she's pregnant, Jesse doesn't know what to do. He can't feel happy about the pregnancy because he's scared he'll lost both Rowen and the baby.
Jesse & Rowen are still my favourite couple in this series (even though Losers Weepers was my favourite book and it was about Garth & Josie). Jesse and Rowen are just so in love with each other. They make a perfect team even though they're really different, but that's what makes them perfect for each other.
Rowen is a super strong character. She's feisty and stubborn. She always fights for what she wants and doesn't give in very easily. Rowen tries to cover up when she's feeling weak because she likes to put on a strong front.
Jesse is generally an easy going character. He works hard, but he's usually pretty laid back. But because of Rowen's situation, Jesse is extremely wound up. He's having trouble sleeping; he isn't eating and he's constantly worrying about Rowen.
Heart & Soul was an emotional read. Seeing the way Rowen's pregnancy was affecting both her and Jesse was heartbreaking. They were so different from the couple I was used to because of all the added pressure. Garth and Josie were a big part this book. They helped Jesse & Rowen a lot and they were always there for them. I also really loved getting to see Jesse's sister Lily and Colt again.
Nicole William's had a double whammy of an emotional punch towards the end of the book where I had no idea what was going to happened to Jesse, Rowen or the baby. I was so close to tears because the future of the characters was uncertain, and I didn't know what I would do if anything had happened to them.
Heart & Soul was a brilliant wrap up to the Lost and Found series. It was emotional and heartbreaking, but I adored every minute of it and I'm sad to say goodbye to these character. It's been a fantastic series and I can't recommend it enough.
At a time when most couples would be overjoyed, Rowan and Jesse are facing fears that most couples never face. In spite of taking every precaution, (except for the one 100% effective-abstinence!) Rowan is pregnant. She was about to get the surgery her weakened heart needed, but then 2 little pink lines changed everything.
For Rowan, this is a miracle baby, for Jesse he is afraid this may be a death sentence. With every month that goes by, there are complications. But this couple wades through the mine field that is all around them, determined that at the end of the tunnel (or in this case, Rowan's pregnancy) having their baby will make it worth while. Rowan suffers her fears in silence, but she is almost forced to, as Jesse is barely holding it together. At every turn, their good friends Garth and Josie are they-even though they are about to collapse themselves between planning their wedding and trying to repair the million and one things that need repairing on the ranch they bought.
Will Jesse's demons return? We've seen him give into the darkness that hides deep down inside of him in previous books-will his worries over Rowan push him over the edge? Will Rowan's heart be able to take the added strain of beating for two?
This story has some stomach plummeting moments, but it is mostly a story about overcoming obstacles. Ginormous, life changing ones. Every character in this series has added color and richness to the canvas. This is a great ending to a great series!
This is a stressful, heartbreaking, inspiring, emotional, but still at times humorous conclusion to Jesse and Rowan's story. These two have come so far over this series and this installment just shows their devotion, protectiveness, and strength. I love these two characters and how their differences just manage to make them a perfect fit and balance for each other. I was holding my breath for most of the book waiting to see how they were going to navigate these new challenges and worrying over what was going to happen next. My heart especially broke for Jesse over his anxiety and fear, and how hard he worked to to try to keep everything together. And Rowan had her own issues to stress over as well.
More Garth and Josie! Love them! They make me smile and laugh. And I love how devoted they are to their friends. Garth is such a huge scene stealer with his crazy, unfiltered, and magnetic persona.
I enjoy the whole ranch setting and Jesse's family. It is like coming home and visiting. I remember when this series first started that Nicole Williams told me in pm that when she wrote it that she thought it might just end as a stand alone. But I am so glad she continued to let these characters grow and develop. They had such stories to tell and are all tenacious and dedicated to family and love.
I could see the series continuing with Lily and Colt since it was set up a bit in this one. And Jesse does have more sisters...
WOOOOOOOOOW!
This entire book was a waste of my time. It bums me out to say that since I loved Rowen and Jesse’s first book. The second one wasn’t exactly necessary but I can see why it was written. Everything after that I wish I never read because it went downhill with each book. After having to endure Garth’s self-loathing for two whole books, I wanted a fresh breath of air with Jesse and Rowen but nope, I got Jesse worrying and Rowen faking being fine. This last book I felt nothing except annoyance for these characters. Instead of being satisfied for the HEA all I felt was relief it was finally over.
Once again i'm speechless-in a good way,of course. From the beginning of this story-that started in Lost and FOund - i was a big fan of Jesse-Rowen couple and now i'm sooo sad that the end is here.I loved they're crazy-amazing-hard-and-hilarious relationship and i'm sooo happy that they got they're happy ending, even if there were a lot of bad moments.Still,in Heart & Soul i found the proof that an cowboy like Jesse and an crazy artist like Rowen managed to get through all the bad complications that happened and the result it's abso-freaking-lutely amazing!
Let's be realistic here... I will never ever finish this book. After 2 1/2 years of "trying" I can admit that I lost interest. I still liked the beginning of this series though!
I finished this today, and I believe I have read these in the wrong order. Just my luck!
Nevertheless, this book was a joy and difficulty to read because of the events that happen and how both Rowen and Jesse cope with them. It shows a test of what they've overcome by themselves and together in the past, as well as together.
Rowen is a strong and stubborn woman! Oh my god, there are no words for how stubborn she is, now I can see why Jesse gets his tight-ass jeans in a bunch! Though I related so much as to how she deals with things that come her way, as well as how she hides them so not to be a hinderance and hurt the ones she cares about most. She doesn't want to be a pain in the ass having to people run after her. Though seeing how she dealt with the problems that fell after, it's nice to see her and Jesse finally compromise.
Jesse in this last book is not what I expected at all, but I knew how much he loved, I just didn't expect this much. The way he loved through the other books; well it breaks your heart to see how much he pushes and makes his heart grow in this book for Rowen. It's awful to see him get himself in such predicaments because of everything that is getting thrown his way, for both him and Rowen together. Though I must admit the ending broke my heart for both good and bad reasons, I didn't expect one of them, but the other I saw coming a mile away!
This book was a deep and detailed follow up from Garth and Josie's book. It was so dark.
They were both really just trying to work out how to deal with her heart condition plus pregnancy... right through the book. I got annoyed at one point because Jesse was just too heavy for me. He had a chains hold on his fear and what could possibly happen. Soooo not the man I got to know in #1.
And the the tragedy happens!
Right after.... meaning the very next chapter!
Nicole Williams just took what was about to be splendid emotion and decided not to put it into the book... We find ourselves many months later... where happiness abides. I'm all for happy ending... but really? After having to deal with Jesse's stressed out emotions right till the very end... You take away the only part that got my blood pumping!
Is there going to be another book? Will it be about Lily & Colt? I wonder...["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>
First, it was a relief to have Garth back to his old self after Losers Weepers. Jesse, however, was the depressing one this time.
Towards the end, there was a jarring event that had me going, 'oh, no, not this, not now.'
I didn't get a lot of closure with the end, though. It just... Ended, you know? I missed having some more romance, as this was all about fears and worries.
I love Jesse and Rowen, And i always will, But...... when i started this i knew i would have trouble staying focused after reading 5 pages i found i couldn't get into this, There's nothing wrong with this book, I just found the story dragged on a bit in different parts and i ended up skipping over a few small parts, For me it wasn't till near the end that it picked up and found my self really into it, Over all if you read the books before this then i would say read this as the character are solid and fun to read. The story was great.
Jesse and Rowen have come a long way since the beginning of this series. They've both matured and changed but their love for each other is stronger than ever. Which is lucky because their biggest battle lies ahead...
"She painted the whole world for me, and if she was taken away from me, the color would leave with her."
I really enjoyed this conclusion to their story and Jesse is one character I won't forget in a hurry!
Well that was a great end to a lovely series, even though it was all perfect and anything bad that happened was righted within 10 pages or so, but that didn't make me love the book any less. And I wish there was more books in this series since I really liked all these characters
Such a sweet ending to an amazing series. I loved how the vulnerability of both Rowan and Jessie were described. Usually when you read a book with situations like theirs, the male characters' head space isn't described as much. This was a short and sweet. couldn't ask for more.
