Plain and Simple is true to its title, and is a nice journey which follows a family and friends on a cross country trip. Using the good will of others, much as with hikers or travelers, they are helped at crucial points along the way, and by today's standards may seem to receive an unusual amount of good luck. The main character is not afraid to work hard, honestly nor to defend his family when pressed.
