Ex-Federal agent turned vampire, Samantha Moon, finds herself investigating one of the strangest cases in recent memory. An unsuspecting client finds out he was murdered in a past-life...by one of the most notorious killers in history, Jack the Ripper. Now that same evil entity is back and chasing her client through time, ready to kill again. But the Ripper is no ordinary killer...and he may just be immortal. With help from her best friend, Allison, and boyfriend, Kingsley Fulcrum, Sam delves deeper into the world of black magic than she ever has before to save her client's life. With time running out, the killer closing in, and her client's life in the balance, can Sam rely on the power of the crystal moon?
Sam has a client that comes to her for help. He is a writer, he was doing research for a new book. He decided to go therapist for past life regression. When he comes to, she is beyond scared, rushing him out with the video of his session. He decided to get in touch with Samantha since it said she could help. Samantha watches this video and knows has to help him. Apparently this guy is reincarnation of a Jack the Ripper victim. Jack the Ripper is still murdering people and his a vampire. They go back to the therapist for more information. Samantha goes to Max for help in protecting this man. Samantha saves the guy, she picks up Kingsley to go for more help. Max has an idea of how to protect them both but it is extremely dangerous if not done right.
This was a fun side story from the main Samantha Moon series. It is nice diversion to get lost in for a time.
I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest opinion
Samantha Moon is hire to stop a vampire from killing her client. Her client is The only one who can identify him. The vampire turn out to be Jack the Ripper. Can she stop him? Case: Return of Jack the Ripper.
Private Investigator Samantha Moon has gained a new client, one who claims that after undergoing past life regression, has been specifically asked by a former murdered past life to seek out her help...help in protecting him (and his future lives) from Jack the Ripper. Sounds like a strange request, but ever since Samantha was attacked years ago and turned into a vampire, nothing seems strange anymore. I was intrigued by this short story with a vampire, werewolf and Jack the Ripper. It had an interesting concept and the main characters were likable. I especially enjoyed the opening sequence with Samantha watching and commenting on Judge Judy and Judge Milan - I am a big fan of both shows and loved the snarky comments. The story left me wanting to know more about the characters and so I have now downloaded the first book in this series, Moon Dance. I look forward to following more of Samantha's adventures. Disclosure: I received a copy of this novella in exchange for an honest review.
This was just a tease, right! As usual Mr. Stein has done it again. I always look forward to seeing another book from one of my favorite authors. Hope there is more to come from this story too.
I received an e-ARC of this book for free from the Author in exchange for an honest review
I think it's interesting that different writers are delving into the Samantha Moon series. It gives the reader a chance to read more Samantha Moon stories, but a little bit different. Thanks, I enjoyed this.
