Lonely, curvy girl, Ava Redmond is flailing aimlessly after selling her dream business six months ago. A new job and a new group of friends would be wonderful, but a family is what her heart truly desires. A devoted man, who appreciates her curves and freckles, would be just what the doctor ordered to push her loneliness away.
Identical twins and bear shifters, Doctors Gavin and Hawk Thorn have been searching a long time for a mate to complete their triad. They have worked hard to succeed in both their personal and professional lives, but their success means nothing without a mate to call their own.
Tired of meeting women only interested in sex and money, Gavin and Hawk place an ad for a bride listing all of their combined redeeming qualities. Desperate for change, Ava answers an ad for a mail order bride to a seemingly perfect man. When she finds out Thorn is actually two perfect men, she must decide whether to accept their love, or run back to her boring, lonely life.
I liked this book. It's better than the first five books of this series. I would like this one more if there's an epilogue.
The story was about Hawk, 34, Gavin, 34 and Ava (human), 30.
Hawk and Gavin are identical twins. They have their own medical office. They're doctors and bear shifters. They wanted to settle down and start a family. They needed a woman to complete their triad.
Ava sold her dream business (bookstore) six months ago because of her sister and ex-boyfriend's betrayal. She needed a fresh start.
Hawk and Gavin placed an ad for mail-order bride and Ava responded to it. One look at her and they knew she's their mate but she's not happy when she knew there were two of them. She thought they were just looking for a good time and that they deceived her. She ran away from them and realized later she made a mistake. She apologized to them and they spent time together.
There's a little misunderstanding. More of a lack of communication but it was solved right away.
HFN ending.
Like I said, I liked this one better and I would like it even more if there's an epilogue. The entire series was all about mating, marriage and starting a family but all the stories ended with them being mated and married but there's no baby. Well, one of them's pregnant but that's it.
"Bear Seeking Bride: Thorn" Bear Canyon Bears by author Ruby Shae. My Rating: 4 Stars!...
So bummed this is the last book in this series. Oh well, guess I'll just read her North Pole Bear series next, with Christmas coming up. :) Anyway, getting back to my review...this was my favorite of the series. Well duh...not only do we get one sexy bear shifter but this story has two! This is a menage romance.
Grizzly bear shifters and identical twins. What more can you ask for? Let me add that these sexy brothers, Gavin and Hawk Thorn, are wealthy doctors. Gavin and Hawk are tired of dating women who are only interested in sex and their wealth. It's depressing and they are disgusted. This results in two lonely shifters who only want to find their mate. One perfect woman for them to share. One woman who will agree to love them both. Recently a couple of their friends found their mates by listing an add in the classifieds, successfully. Hawk and Gavin think it's time they did the same.
Ava Redmond is living a lonely and aimless life thanks to her ex-boyfriend. What a jerk that guy is! Because she put her faith in a relationship that failed miserably, Ava lost her dream business. Her life was depressing, going nowhere. No job. No friends. No family. Ava bravely decides to answer an add for a bear shifter seeking a human bride.
Ava, Gavin and Hawk get off to a less than happy start. She was surprised to find out there were two shifters seeking bride and as a result, she believed she was the butt of a cruel joke. But thankfully these two bears convince her of their sincerity. As soon as they saw her, they knew she was meant for them. She was their mate and they needed to claim her. I wished this novella was longer. I was really invested in it when it ended and I wanted more.
The characters in this series are likable. The heroines were perfect mates for their shifter partners. They were strong despite some of their insecurities. The heroes were sexy and successful and I thought developed for novellas. Would I have liked a bit more backstory on the bears? Yes. Still, I was entertained and enjoyed this series. I have read several of Ruby's bear series' and enjoyed them all. I am looking forward to reading more.
Identical twins and bear shifters; Gavin and Hawk just can't seem to find the perfect woman to complete their triad. Perhaps an ad is the answer to their dilemma?
Lonely Ava Redmond has taken a beating in life. Left behind when her ex decides he wants her sister instead, she’s not only lost her man but her business as well. Desperate for a man of her own, the Thorn ad seems almost to good to be true. A man can't have that many good qualities, right?
Well, perhaps not, but two brothers posing as one man can... Can Ava come to terms with the unusual arrangement or will her human morals get in the way?
This was an ok read for me. Very short, very insta, despite the initial shock and denial. But rest assured, Ava gets her mates – and her threesome. There is a HEA - and of course, Ava gets her revenge on her cheating ex and estranged sister.
I loved this book -- it was a great romance with a twist--a menage is what is needed for everyone to be happy. All of the Bear Seeking Brides books (Bear Creek series) are really good. Each is unique, and very fun and romantic. In the stories, humans know about shifters, but don't necessarily accept them. And there are a lot more males than female shifters. Bear Creek is a town with a lot of bear shifters, who have chosen to live together so they can feel free to shift when they want to, without scaring humans. The only humans living there are ones who have mated with bears. In Thorn we have a set of twins, both doctors, who need to share a mate to feel complete. The two werebears have very different personalities and haven't found the right woman. Since they are hot and have a good amount of money, they seem to attract thrill-seeking women looking for a one night stand with two shifters, but finding a woman who wants to spend her life with them hasn't worked out. I really liked both of the heroes. Some friends have found true love by using ads, so these two decide to follow that example, but with a twist--they describe themselves as though they are just one man. As you can imagine, this deception causes some conflict when they meet their lady. The lady answers the ad because her life is sort of up in the air since her breakup with her boyfriend, who was also a business partner. The breakup means she also sold her share of their business to him. She wants to start over in a new place, and has no issue with someone being a shifter. I really liked the heroine. She was feisty, but also had a soft heart. It's a great romance, and a fun read. I really enjoyed it.
This was a great ending to the series. I think it might be the best...not sure cause I enjoyed them all. Ava's character couldnt be any sweeter. I felt bad for her with everything shes gone through. She is apprehensive in trying this personal ad but cant help herself because shes drawn to it. Bites the bullet and answers the ad and goes to meet Thorn. Thinking its one man and SURPRISE its 2. She's pissed at first cause she feels she was lied to...on some level she was but there was a reason. Gavin and Hawk are so sweet and great guys. With the help of Bree at the off chance after her disaster meeting she is calmed and she informed her how great the Thorn brothers were. Apologizes and they try again. Just a great story loved it. Man...her sister Claire was a biotch. I hate when siblings are just horrible but it happens. Great ending.
This was fun. Super surprising this was a ménage story though. I wasn't expecting that. There is even just one guy on the cover. But, that being said it was still a good book. Had some unanswered questions like what happens to Claire or that whole situation... but hey, it was still good.
When Ava answered an add from a bear shifter looking for a bride, the last thing she expected was to find out identical twin brothers waiting for her. Or for the hot doctors to be so invested on convincing her to accept them. Recommended

This is the second time I have read all these books and they get better with each reading I love a good series you can sink your teeth onto and this is one of my favorites.
2 men for a mate who deserves to be treated like every woman should be treated. So glad that her ex and so called sister got what they deserved in the end. The doctors had no clue what they were doing and almost lost their mate. Men! Lol
If you enjoy bear shifters, romance, mates and a little bit of misunderstanding, but don't have a lot of time to read them, then these quick reads are for you.
Gavin and Hawk are identical bear shifters who want a wife and family. Ava is a little down on her luck, but answers the mail-order-bride ad that the twins put out. At first she thinks its some sort of prank, but as she gets to know them she realizes that they're the perfect guy.
I love a menage romance involving identical twins. In fact, I think that's the only time I really enjoy them. This was just okay. A quick read and engaging read, it had plenty of insta-love and not a lot of angst or conflict. And it was a bit bland...like none of the characters had anything particularly special about them. The encounter with the ex and the sister there at the end was also sort of rushed and lacking any sort of emotion - just felt like a juvenile encounter or something. Also, several times in this series I have seen people "excite" a room instead of "exit" it. This author should keep an eye out for such typos. (also feeling "possession" instead of "possessiveness" and "duel" instead of "dual" and many others).

This is a great series! You won't be disappointed with any of the stories in the series. This story has a sweet emotionally wounded heroine, Ava looking for an honest trustworthy man and just her luck she gets two, Gavin and Hawk! They have their ups and downs or there wouldn't be much of a story. There is menage sex involved but no touching between brothers. The only thing that took away from the story was no epilogue. It would have been nice to glimpse a few years ahead to find out if they got the cubs that they were longing for. I highly recommend this book but only to adults because of the sex scenes.
Cute, lighthearted bear romance !! This short story has everything a sweet romance needs. Deep characters to love, an interesting twist plot, and super hot sex. Ava is our curvy, independent, gal, who wants security, a family and a husband to love her. Tired of rejection, she answers "Thorn"s" ad. Thorn turns out to be Gavin and Hawk, doctors in Bear Canyon who want what she wants, but there is two of them. They wrote each others best qualities in their ad, and hoped to find a mate to love them both. At first Ava misunderstands, but is on the right path in no time at all. Thought filled , beautiful characters, and a happy ending make Ruby Shae's books so terrific. ENJOY !!!
I read a lot of books and have come across several other authors with the concept of a triad relationship. I love how Ms. Shae gave them unique personalities and fit their love story together so well as o create a perfect balance between them. Her incorporation of past characters and well written storyline kept me looking forward to each page and will continue to have me coming back for more of her stories. This was another great quick read.
Doctors Gavin and Hawk are identical twins and bear shifters, who are looking to find their perfect mate. She will have to be someone who can love and be both their mate. Along comes Ava and the rest is history! Loved this book and the entire series. But sad there won't be any more Bear Canyon Brides.
Loved this book and the entire series. Ava, Gavin, and Hawk were a perfect match. This was a wonderful ending to this amazing series. Very sad I won't have any more Bear Canyon Brides but I always enjoy Ruby Shaes books and am looking forward to seeing what she comes up with next.
There's not quite anything I love more in a shifter romance more than bears!!! Bears everywhere in a book makes me very happy! This lovely Bear(s) seeking bride mail order mate novel was so funny, and touching by turns. I adored it and I can't wait to read more Ruby Shae stuff!!
I absolutely loved this story! I liked how Hawk and Gavin devised a way to meet their mate, even though it was deceptive. I loved how Ava tells them off, before realising the truth. But my favorite part was Claire and David getting their comeuppance. I hope their will be more in this series.
If only all of us plus sized women could find not one but 2 sexy bear shifters (if they were real that is) .. to have as your husbands, we'd all be happily married. Lol. I love shifter stories and Miss Shae tells her stories well. I love alpha men. They're so hot. And her heroine is v likable as well.
Cute ménage book. The h was a little frustrating when she snapped and ran, but she came back and I didn't hold it against her (too much, anyway). The book was predictable, but still cute and enjoyable. This is why I keep coming back to Ruby Shae. She's predictable in the sense that I know I'll be entertained, and pass some time without being irritated.
This book is the last in a series and doesn't disappoint. Do yourself a favor and read the bears seeking brides by Ruby Shea it excellent each are standalone. But read the series, you'll fall in love too. Thanks Ruby .
The Thorn brothers were in search of their mate. They decided to place an ad for a bride. Ava Redmond was a red head curvy human woman who decided to respond to the ad. This was just o.k. I wish authors would make their stories longer and with more substance.
I love reading books by this author and is always looking for more in this series. Each book that comes out and just keeps getting better and better. I especially love how its all about BBW finding their true mate or mates and getting her HEA.
I enjoyed the story but I felt it was kinda lacking substance. I think her other books in this story had more to them then this one did. I guess you can say I wanted more. Don't get me wrong it was still good just not great. I would still read it.
Kindle unlimited standalone shifter book. They place an add for a bride. She answers it thinking it's only 1 bear shifter. She doesn't believe them and runs away. Can they convince her to stay?
I really enjoy Ruby Shae's novellas. Her characters are well planned and easy to like. After reading most of her work available on Amazon, I'm still excited to read the next page and see how it all ends!
Ava never knew what she was missing until she found with her mates. Talk about hitting the Jack pot. She is no longer is alone. But she finds out just what it means to be completely loved and really wanted for herself.
