In this installment, we follow the second season of our MMC's fucked up dating show where eliminated means dead. Our FMC is an insecure, petty, gold digger, who only came onto the show to prove to her ex best friend she could bag a billionaire.

This book was one of my most anticipated reads ever since I finished The Bloody Tulip. I just love everything Tori Sullivan writes. It's always the most horrific things, yet it doesn't feel like it. Maybe I'm just broken? Remains to be seen.

I could not on good conscience give this one another 5⭐️ because it felt long and it was a little repetitive from the first one. Which is understandable from the concept, but i wish she had found a way to make it more fresh.

With the way that this book ended, I think that we'll be back in 5⭐️ territory with the next book and she'll shake things up. I also thought that things got predictable at some point since the FMC was the only woman we got a pov for. I would have loved to get a twist where another woman actually won. That would have been fantastic.

If you get into this series, be warned that this is not romance. Not anywhere near it. This is erotic horror and you should check your triggers before going in. It is dark. I highly recommend it.

Loving this series!
I do have 1 bone to pick! I know Aria is only featured for a hot second, but I hate what the author has done to her character. I know trauma has changed her but not to the point where she’s unrecognizable. She’s supposed to be intelligent and mature. However, her behavior has reduced her to being whiny and annoying…similar to how the other insufferable characters were in her book. I’m hoping the author can maintain these personalities when the final book comes.

Regarding Sienna, I knew there’d be some character development since she was extremely unlikable in most of the book. It got redundant in the beginning/middle, almost driving home a little too hard how annoying she was. But it got better.

LOVED this book. Great second book. I enjoyed that the series lasted longer and we got to know each contestant. It didn’t feel like a copy-paste of the first book, each challenge and elimination was new and different. This does end on a cliffhanger and I NEED the third book asap 😩 in the first book, you want Aria to win the entire series. After this book, you’re torn between the winner and Aria. I also loved the addition of Silas. If you haven’t read “A wife for Silas” and “an heir for Silas” and you’re impatiently waiting for the third of this series, definitely check them out.

This series is my favorite guilty pleasure. I was a little worried if it was going to feel like rereading the previous book. That was not the case at all. I loved that we got a chance to get to know the contents better.
