Taylor looks for a way to get back home, retrieve an ancient artifact to stop the werewolf war, and searches a way to divorce the man she was forced to marry.
Chrissy Peebles, a practicing nurse, has always loved reading and writing fantasy from the earliest age she can remember. She plotted every single twist she could think of during bedtime stories for her children. When her little ones begged for more adventures, she felt confident enough to let her overeager imagination and sense of humor spill out into her first novel. She lives in Ohio with her husband, two young kids, one hamster, three dwarf hamsters and cat. When she's not taking the kids to Little League soccer, basketball, or baseball, she loves to snap photos as her favorite hobby.
Personal response The the book, Clash , kept me involved enough that I did not want to set it down. My favorite part of the book was when Taylor and Julie combined their powers to take down the Fey. My least favorite part about Clash was when Alexios took Taylor for forcefully back to Blackwoods.
Plot summary In the beginning of Clash , Taylor was spending time with Julie and Jesse. When they both left, Taylor decided to go sit out on the porch. That was when Alexios came to take her back to Blackwood. Alexios then had Taylor break the curse on his family that killed them. After that was done, Taylor asked for the divorce but was denied. Alexios told her that she was going to stay his wife for eternity. Then he forced her to sleep in his chambers and almost claimed her. That was interrupted but the Fey attacking.
Characterization Taylor Sparks is an impossible hybrid of a witch, a vampire, and a werewolf. Taylor is also the main protagonist agonist of Clash . The main antagonist of Clash is the king of the supernaturals, Alexios. Alexios is the main antagonist because he kidnapped Taylor to be his wife and queen.
Setting The first setting of Clash is in a town called Big Bear Lake in California. The importance of Big Bear Lake is that it is isolated from the outside world. The time period of the book is based in current times. The importances of this is they are able to communicate with cell phones.
The second setting of Clash is located in another world called Blackwood. Taylor is being held against her will by the king to unite the immortal races. Blackwood is important because it is the last realm before earth.
Thematic connection The main theme of Clash is Immortality and Fate and free will. I think this because Taylor is being forced to spend eternity with Alexios because she is an immortal hybrid, and there is a prophecy that tells of a male heir from an immortal king.
Recommendations I recommend Clash to young adult females who are in tenth graders who like fantasy romance novels. I also recommend the book to high schoolers because of things in the book that are too complex for middle school students. I am making these recommendations because Clash has violent and graphic scenes.

Christy Peebles is an exceptional author. Is hard to go wrong with on of her books. This is my second time around for this series and there will be more.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A quest-driven installment with high stakes. Taylor’s mission to recover an artifact and untangle an unwanted marriage adds urgency. The balance between action and emotional tension keeps the story moving briskly.
Will Taylor ever stop the werewolf curse or will the war Ivan waged rage on? It seems when she and her friends finally have a chance to relax and find peace, something drastic happens and another battle rages. Then the King of Immortals swoops in. After battling her way through Hell and back literally, it seems another hell is awaiting her in another dimension. Will it ever end? Will Taylor find her way back home to her loved ones? This series keeps getting better as the stakes rise.
I loved the first 3 chapters and the last 3 chapters. The rest of the book I could have done without. Overall I was really disappointed. The search in Hell for the artifact was really well written but it felt like everything after that was rushed. Once Taylor went back to Alexios I expected a good story, and while it was more detailed that the middle of the book it still skipped a bulk of what was actually happening. There was one really great scene with Drake at a ball, but what about the other balls? Or what about people Taylor met while in Blackwood? And the breaking of the curse was covered in a paragraph? Such a let down. I'm just really bummed. I loved the Ruby Ring Saga, and the first several books in this series. Maybe the pressure to turn out books is getting to be too much, because there are some editing misses as well.
The book started off with action and didn't let up. I can't wait to see what becomes of Taylor and Jesse's relationship as well as Taylor and Alexios'. Thank you Krissy for a great story.
it was the best book ever every single one from 1-7 I couldn't put it down for the life of me please hurry with part # 8 oK I want to see what that tryant of a king plans for punishment on Taylor and if she'll ever break free and get back to Jesse's arms waiting arms!!?
Loving this series, can't wait for Taylor to get some respite. I really truly despise Alexios, the liar, murderer, abuser..etc etc, he needs to die immortal does not become him.
Oh man another book I couldn't put down! There is always something going on in every turn in the book. Not too excited about how it ended but I'm sure that's what was supposed to happen. Can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
I gave this book a rating of 5 because I loved it. It showed that the bonds of true love never break. While some break promises, that could end up destroying the paranormal community. I recommend this to anyone that loves the paranormal.
