There was an infection going around that no medical doctor would acknowledge. To them, it was just a virus. At least, that's what Lucy was told. Lucy Blake considered herself an aficionado of vampires. She wrote articles for a Goth/vampire magazine, blogged, read all the books, did all of the research and watched all of the shows, including the classics. But to Lucy, they stayed in the realm of fiction. She did not believe they were real. Not until the night she was bitten. She was infected with the deadly bite of a vampire and slowly transitioned into one of the dark creatures of the night.
