Coyote's Kiss
Book four in the Shifter Chronicles series One touch. One taste. That’s all it takes. The newly formed Shifter Coalition have solved murders, stopped a bombing and rescued troubled teens. Now working as a joint task force with the ATF and FBI they have the biggest hurdle ahead of them. Luca Perez is enjoying his time with the Coalition. He feels at home with the other shifters. Being so far from his close-knit parents and siblings he’s pleased to have a replacement family. He loves the training exercises they’ve been organizing, but when the FBI joins the fray all the agents will be in a fight for their lives. Jade Adams is a human assigned to a shifter partner. The FBI isn’t known for being accepting of the shifters, so when the chance to join the task force with the Coalition comes up she jumps at it. She’s curious to learn more about the unique people who make up the new agency. During the first mission between the three agencies, Luca learns more about the ins and outs of the FBI and worries that the shifters there are in danger unnecessarily. With missing agents, it will take the combined strength of all of the others to make it out alive.

I also have several stand alone novellas and novels.
I am working hard to bring more stories to the readers so they can sit back and relax while losing themselves in the paranormal romance world.

Every time I look at the cover of Coyote's Kiss I keep thinking I'm going to be reading a gay PNR. Don't ask me why the cover screams male PNR it just does. BUT, it's not. It's action - YES! Shifters - YES! and loads of fun.
Luca has quite the wicked sense of humor and likes to blow things up...BTW, he's also a coyote shift. As ATF, he's working together with other agencies in the coalition and is having the time of his life. Jade is smart, tough and NOT a shifter. Unlike the FBI she works for, she is more accepting of shifters and has a curiosity about them then. Together they make a couple that I found very entertaining to read. Actually all the characters in the coalition are great. I can't even call them secondaries because they all seem very front and center and play very important roles. There was plenty of action and suspense to keep me from putting this book down. Great world building in this Shifter Chronicles series yet I have found the books also work well as stand-alones. I found that with this coalition building of combining different organizations, and different shifter types together, author Crissy Smith has created a great series that everyone into PNR book will thoroughly enjoy.
So I now have a few Crissy Smith books under my belt and I got to say, she is simply wonderful. I can't believe I haven't discovered this goldmine of a author before. Her talent in creating shifters, their interactions, suspense and sense of humor in her books is something I look for in every PNR I read. Anyone who isn't reading her, should be. I can't wait to read more of her works.

Coyote’s Kiss is a rollercoaster ride of action and suspense. There is a lot of tension between shifters and humans and things become dangerous. I really like Luca and Jade together. Luca is a coyote shifter with a sarcastic sense of humor. He works for the Coalition and enjoys the work he does for them. When the FBi joins forces to form a task force with the Coalition, Jade and Luca get to work together and discover dangerous things within the FBI that turn deadly for shifters. Jade is a kick-ass, tough, and smart. She is open-minded when it comes to the shifters – something not many humans are. Together, this pair is intense and keep the suspense and action packed scenes moving. So much so that I did not want to put the book down. Even though this is book 4 in the Shifter Chronicles Series, I did not feel lost or confused having not read the earlier books. The world building and details are well done by the author. They keep the reader engaged and wanting more. With the missing agents, danger, tension between the shifters and humans, action, and chemistry between Luca and Jade, this is a fantastic story that can easily be read in an afternoon.

Coyote's Kiss is action packed with steamy love scenes but really concentrates on the world that the shifters now live in. How different the government agencies treat them.

Luca is enjoying his time with the Coalition but when the FBI joins the fray all the agents will be in a fight for their lives in this thrilling paranormal romance. Once again, the Shifter Chronicles bring excitement and passion to the reader with its fascinating world and captivating characters and I for one can’t help but get caught up in all the turmoil that flows from the story as the shifters and humans have to learn to co-exist, so I am definitely looking forward to reading the next book.
