There must be few people who have never felt a lack of self-confidence or heightened self-awareness when going to a party, meeting, or social occasion. Reading this book will help transform a wallflower into a sunflower. The Little Book of Confidence shows us how to challenge our preconceived notions about confidence. Through tips, quotes, and practical exercises we can learn how to restore or improve positive faith in ourselves through heightened levels of competence, compassion, and self-awareness.
This book gave the same vibe as “don’t be depressed. Just be happy!” Like yep thanks but how do I actually do that? Mainly quotes throughout this whole thing but even then most of them either held little value or were very much ‘easier said than done.’ Rolled my eyes at a good chunk of it tbh
So I read this in order to complete a reading challenge and I thought it would be a cute little book that ticked some boxes on the challenge, would be a quick and productive read. However it basically all the way through tells you that to be confident you need to be confident, it doesn't give any real advice and even went as far as to assume in one part that all of the readers were healthy (saying the words be grateful that you're healthy). The only real advice that it gave was to practice mindfulness so rather than getting this one just skip straight to a book about mindfulness (from this series or otherwise),
It’s an okay from me. It might be because most of the quotes I have read somewhere else already. It just didn’t stay on my mind much after finishing the book.
