Mass murderers, rogue cops, undercover detectives and desperate fugitives. These are some of the people you'll encounter in Mostly Murder: True Crime from Norfolk County (Ontario.) For nearly 25 years, historian and author Cheryl MacDonald has been writing about true crime, both in books like Who Killed George? and Deadly Women of Ontario, and in her popular heritage column for the Simcoe Times-Reformer. Mostly Murder presents the most notorious crime stories from the column, plus a selection of other desperate deeds that reveal the dark side of Norfolk County's past.

I really enjoyed this book. I love true crime and this was a great read. Living in Buffalo, NY it was fascinating learning about crimes very close to here just over the Canadian border. I also found it interesting about how the police/constables and judicial system work at those time periods and how different they are now and how those types of crimes would be handled very differently today. I do plan on reading her other books. If you like true crime and want to learn a little history I recommend this book.
