The book is what it says. If you are a beginner and want to learn, then this book is condensed with all the information you need. It covers topics like safety, toys, conversation, kinks etc.

Anal Sex Basics is a bright, friendly, in-your-face (so to speak), informative book. Its cheery, approachable and straightforward look and layout make it easy to flip through and get comfortable with. The sections are well laid out, the illustrations are clear and inclusive and the writing is like a letter from a good friend who wants to share some exciting news with you. A bonus is the multiple voices represented in responses to a survey carried out prior to the book’s publication. These tidbits, along with contributions from other experts and explorers, make the reader feel comfortably part of a community. Jansen being the sexpert that she is means this book covers a lot ground, including knowing your body, safe sex, and communication, useful for anyone. But if anal is what you’re curious about, Anal Sex Basics works hard to take the “ick” and fear out of this particular brand of intimacy and replace it with information, joy and pleasure. It succeeds from top to bottom.

I loved the style and imagery of this book. It was easy to read but also really informative. I have some experience with the material but learned some new tips that I was able to put into practice with my new boyfriend.
