Wow!
This entire book was enjoyable, but the last quarter or so was pretty fantastic.
In the vein of young adult paranormal romance, this story draws on Greek mythology, and ties it all together neatly. The ending chapters show this to be more meaningful than your average "coming of age with a supernatural twist" story.
A fun read for sure. Would love to see it as a major motion picture someday!

Different is probably the best word I could use to describe this book. Different in a mostly good way. For me, one of the biggest drawbacks of this book was that so much of its length was spent building up the story, only to have it all wrapped up in a rather quick manner. Overall, I did enjoy the book and it was definitely a fast read.

First, I really appreciate that the author made this a full-length book instead of dragging it out in a series. Second, it was such a fun read. Man, I wish I could control trees, grass, flowers, etc.

I was honestly pretty skeptical when I read the synopsis for this book, but my judgement was flawed. This story blew me away- I love it. I look forward to reading more by this author. I'm a fan! Thanks, goodreads giveaway!

I listened to this book through audio as this book was put into the vault a while ago. She does not know when or if she is going to republish it anytime soon.
This is a YA books with mystical gods in it.

A beautifully written story with a fairy tale kind of quality combined with ancient mythology. Though the ending was a bit slow to wrap up after the climax, it was still a thoroughly enjoyable read. Loved it.

Went on too long

yea Im not sure that this book is really amazing, it definitely has an interesting concept.
The synopsis describes a girl who is a ballerina with nature wielding powers who finds a boy (fine, i can get behind that idea) but then, that's it.... which is interesting... because it doesn't say anything at all about the mythology aspect? I feel like that would've been an important thing to reference maybe seeing as it takes of half of the book.
AND SPEAKING OF HalF OF THE BOOK, the first half was interesting and although not written all that well, it was interesting. The second half of the book was just a mess. It felt rushed and like they just kept throwing new things in there for fun. I genuinely had such a hard time staying interested in the second half. This book felt so long and yet it wasn't even 300 pages.
I wanted to see more character relationship development between Demi and like... everyone, it feels like all the relationships in the book were so surface level without any depth which could be why I didnt feel invested.
Overall, an interesting read, would not read it a third time :(

Ugh. Such a weird book.
Got to give it credit for being original, that's for sure. Even if I don't mean that in a good way.
Demi and Dylan really were cute together and I enjoyed seeing them find someone who can relate to them. But I lost interest fast once Baal appeared. After that everything starts to get weirder and weirder. Since I was already too curious to find out what really was going on I mostly read the last few chapters just to finish it and finally get to the bottom of this crap. Because it really was ridiculous and hard to process/picture. I can see now why some people say they want a sequel, but for me I'm glad it's over. If there's ever a sequel, I won't be reading it that's for sure. There's no reason to.

I tried this book and I feel horrible for having to be honest. It wasn't for me. I just felt disconnected from the characters. The heroine in the book was telling us how Dylan and she were best friends and how much time they spent together. But the reader didn't see it. Relationship arcs are important when reading and I like to experience them in real time. I love to witness relationships develop and I just couldn't with this story. Dylan and Demi's relationship seemed and felt random. I couldn't finish. I'm sorry peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!

This story begins with a girl who has power over plants, and parents who try to help her exist in the world without anyone finding out about her power. Eventually, she meets someone who can help her understand this power. Then, things turn dark. I liked this story in the beginning and the middle, but I did not like the way it ended, and how dark it became. Frankly, at that point, I just wanted it to end. The story is very creative and descriptive, but it almost seems like two stories fused together.
