The Quantum Realm: Philly the Photon, is an adventure story of a young man confronting his trauma brought on by Nature—a freak electrical storm, by endeavoring on a quest of knowledge through the Quantum Realm. Sebastian must find the courage to face his fears and venture through the space-time continuum in order to reach Grunk the Great Graviton. Sebastian must learn how to use the tools of the Quantum Realm if he is ever to return home...or be lost forever in the Sea of the Abyss.
The Quantum Realm: Philly the Photon, is an inspirational novella that addresses some of the key elements of Science and Quantum Physics and how it relates to the human experience. Understanding these elements in the context of human psychological growth and development will have a tremendous positive impact.
It will provide fundamental truths about how our personal life can be enhanced by the understanding of scientific analysis and the primary patterns of the Universe that govern our physical and spiritual existence.
Mark Montgomery joined the US Navy at the age of 17 years old and graduated top in his class as a Hospital Corpsman. Years later he returned to school and attained a BS in Economics, Finance, and International Business. Mark is an Entrepreneur and has owned several businesses that range from car repair, a gourmet coffee and chocolate shop, and several real estate companies. He has lived in ten states and he thrives on obtaining life perspectives from various cultures.
In 2010, after struggling with Mental Health issues for fifteen years, he experienced a life transforming Psychotherapy process called EMDR. The near instantaneous transformation inspired him to understand what had happened. Mark began an expedition into his own mind: Biology, to Psychology, to Neuroscience, to Chemistry and, to Quantum Physics. The journey produced an insatiable desire to understand the mysteries of the Quantum Realm. It was a healing process, which turned into a passion to share quantum patterns with his son.
He recently published The Quantum Realm: Philly the Photon, an inspirational SciFi novella that addresses some of the key elements of Science and Quantum Physics and how it relates to the human experience. He hopes to one day have Philly the Photon guide students through the Quantum Realm and beyond in an interactive Virtual Environment.
As of 2015, Mark lives in the culturally and idea rich San Francisco Bay area. He works for one of the leading Medical Research and Teaching Institutions—The San Francisco Veterans Hospital. He has a passion for promoting Science and Technology in education and he is seeking opportunities to enter the 3D Virtual Realty Educational Software development sector.
Mark hopes that his writings will take you on a journey of a lifetime… that will last a lifetime.
The Quantum Realm: Philly the Photon it’s a very inspirational story written by Mark A. Montgomery and published by Book Publicity Services. The story focus on Sebastian, a curious kid that travels through different realms and meets very peculiar characters that allows him to understand a little bit more about the world that surrounds him. Sebastian, through the metaphors and relating to his life experiences, understands and learns about different hard-core concepts and terms in quantum physics.
In this book, the author created a beautiful journey on the importance of science, making questions about it and the positive impact that we have in others with our behavior. I found very specific phrases that I personally loved and consider key for every person making a career in science.
Even though I’m not very familiar with quantum physics, this book was very entertaining, easy to read and understand but I think it was kind of short. I would like to read more about this story in a second book. I highly recommend it.
The Quantum Realm was sent me by the publisher. Even though it is a Novella it isn't a fast read with all the space and science terms and descriptions. My 11 year old son was first to read the book and he really enjoyed the story and all the science facts but he said at times it would get bogged down with too much explaining that wasn't needed. He suggested that page 58 might need a little more editing because it gets really wordy. I have to agree with him there are certain area of the book that get really wordy that could use more direct language and less descriptive wording. We both enjoyed the book but my 11 year old thought it was awesome. He gives it 5 stars and I give it 4 stars today we give The Quantum Realm 41/2 stars
The Quantum Realm: Philly the Photon is presented as fiction designed to explain Quantum Physics’ relationship to readers’ lives. Mark Montgomery’s use of fictional characters, human boy Sebastian travelling far from home and Philly the Photon from a magic planet, works extremely well. The volume of information covered is astounding: the speed of light; gravity, energy, vibration, measurement of time, negative and positive electrons, the force of lightening, the impact of human thoughts and actions on the environment, and the importance of never assuming what you think is true is actually fact. One example given is that people once “knew” the earth was flat. That is a familiar idea, and typical of the way Mark Montgomery uses the easily understood to illustrate potentially difficult concepts.
If memories of school science lessons make quantum physics an unappealing subject, put them aside. The Quantum Realm is gripping throughout. Chapter one, Ripping the Sky, is a vivid description of a violent thunderstorm followed by the explanation of its origin and cause. Philly the Photon makes his appearance in chapter three, as a mischievous particle of light. Gravity, the glue that holds the universe together, involves Grunk the Great Graviton. Teenage Sebastian steps off the page and lives, becoming a truth seeker. He experiences fear of the unknown, and discovers why asking questions is the key to overcoming anxiety. The Quantum Realm: Philly the Photon by Mark Montgomery is a brilliant book that is such fun to read you don’t realise how much you’re learning. I found it fascinating and recommend it unreservedly.
Philly the photon will challenge you, educate you, and inspire you, these are just some of the claims made by Mark A Montgomery in his book The Quantum Realm: Philly the Photon, these are promises on which he delivers, along with so much more. Sebastian finds himself trapped within a lucid dream, after going to bed filled with questions. Now in order to escape the Quantum Realm he must learn to understand and manipulate its innermost workings. He must travel through the negative charged electron cloud and survive the Abyss of Emptiness to reach Grunk the Great Graviton, who will decide if he has proved himself worthy of being returned home. At time the author's descriptive flair gave me goose bumps. I could see myself there, walking the storm and navigating the depths of this complex realm. Sebastian asks the questions everyone should think to ask, how, what, where why, what if? While also offering a profound suggestion, to overcome you fear you must first understand it, and by gaining insight into its nature it is no longer as mysterious or terrifying. Mark A Montgomery explains the scientific method through story and explanation in a way that's both fun and gripping. It reminded me a little of the Rock 'n' Learn dvds I watch with my son. There are little gems of wisdom and a wealth of understanding within these pages as Sebastian tries to apply the method and find his own understanding. One of the things I found most endearing about this book was the use of humour as a learning tool. Phrases such as 'We'll make you walk the Planck' left me chuckling and will stay with me a long time.
