亦舒，原名倪亦舒，另有筆名衣莎貝,1946年生於上海，祖籍浙江鎮海，兩歲來港定居，曾就讀嘉道理小學、北角官小，中學畢業於何東女子職業中學，十五歲開始寫稿，第一篇小說刊登在《西點》，十七歲開始替明報寫稿，當時仍然是一位中學生。中學畢業後，曾在《明報》任職記者及擔任電影雜誌採訪記者和編輯。1973年，亦舒赴英國修讀酒店食物管理課程，三年後學成回港，任職富麗華酒店公關部，後進入政府新聞處擔任新聞官，做了七年便退下，當全職作家及家庭主婦，並移居加拿大。

Easy to read, and I liked how the author nicely tied up the stories of all the characters that were introduced. Problem is I fundamentally didn't believe most of the characters - there wasn't enough spent really developing each of them as real people that a reader could dive into and relate to.
