I am an unapologetic romance lover. I read it. I write it. Enough said. Well..I also have a warrior way "Never give up on my dreams." I spend a copious amount of time drooling over Rick Grimes from Walking Dead, watching Japanese anime and playing video games with my love, Dusean.

This is my 47th book by Stacy Reid! I’ve been reading her since 2016, and she remains one of my absolute favorite authors. I’ve been waiting for this release for a while, especially since Book 5 came out just a few weeks ago and completely blew me away. Reading these back-to-back reminded me just how incredible her storytelling is, and I’m so thrilled she’s publishing new books again..

OMG! OMG! OMG! I freakin' LOVED this book. It was so damn good that I didn't want it to end. Cordelia and George have the best personalities and are so perfect for each other. I loved that they started as friends and truly knew each other; that foundation was honestly their saving grace and kept the story on the perfect track. The sex was off-the-chain hot and super sexy. Damn, I needed a shower after or a cigarette. :) I smiled so many times while reading this story. I am definitely adding to my favorite books read list for October, 2026.

What an enjoyable book this was. It is about Cordelia who lives next door to George. Cordelia’s cat has picked George’s house to visit all the time. George even gave him a different name. Because the cat was at George’s and his butler said there was no cat there, she decided to climb through a window to get her cat back. This is where she meets George. This is where they form their friendship. I love how George treats Cordelia. I enjoyed reading some of the other couples from previous books. I will tell you I fell a little in love with George. Once I started reading this book, I did not want to put it down.
I received an ARC of this book, and I am leaving my honest opinion.

The banter was not "witty." It was repetitive. I was really hoping this would be good, but it was outlandish. The virgin heroine goes to a brothel. Mmm sure. There she overhears her man hasn't had sex with anyone in weeks. They totally spell this out. Super likely! Why would he even go to a whorehouse, then?
Don't even get me started on how they meet.
The book was not good enough for me to suspend my disbelief. DNF.

The sixth book in this brilliant series. The author proves yet again why she’s one of my must read authors. I loved everything about it wonderful characters, electric chemistry, witty banter & some drama. I loved both George & Cordi, he’s the rogue who falls hard & she’s the wallflower who hides an adventurous streak. I loved how they became friends, played chess & argued over a cat’s name before Cordi knew who he was. I loved how he opened up to her & shared his private life. There was some drama but Cordi knew George & I loved how she reacted. A truly lovely romance
I voluntarily read and reviewed a special copy of this book; all thoughts and opinions are my own

Spicy Regency romp

I liked the overlooked wallflower and rake story, it doesn’t get old for me. It did end abruptly and I would have loved an epilogue to see how their lives ended up - another spicy scene to send us off or showing FMC with a family and the couple still madly in love. A “where are they” now update, or how did the ceremony go?! But otherwise, the plot was great, characters equally wonderful, the spice was spicing, and I loved this reformed rake turned lovesick MMC. I don’t particularly like when a MMC continues to have dalliances after meeting the FMC (even when they’re not officially together) but I can see how MMC was still grappling with his relationship with FMC. I got past it and enjoyed the rest of the adventure. Fun, spicy read, I’m going to work my way backwards and read the others in the series.

An intriguing romance with a feisty lady and a rogue.
Cordelia loves her cat even when he sneaks away for extended times.
One night she follows him while disguised into the neighbor’s window.
Her encounter with the man turns into further meetings and chess matches leading to a friendship.
At a ball, she discovers he is a Viscount, dances with him, then finds him in the garden with another woman.
Both have to deal with the consequences: he realizes he might really love her and she wants no part of a rogue.
Their relationship dance with trust, truth, and knowledge is a pathway for courtship.
Steamy attraction with twists and emotional difficulties.
Loved the ending and the epilogue.
I read and voluntarily reviewed. This is my honest opinion.

Wow!

Stacy Reid is a masterful author. Her stories are unique and entertaining. Book 6 in the Sins and Sensibilities series is amazing. Cordelia Maubry sneaks into her neighbor's home where her cat has apparently made friends with George Ashford, Viscount Templeton. Knowing him only as George she develops a friendship which eventually becomes more than what the two bargained for. Cori has a hard time believing that a rake like George would be interested in her, and George is astounded that talking to Cori comes so naturally and has become essential to him. Beautifully developed characters with betrayals by the least likely people brings this story together with the belief that people can change and that what we think we know certainly isn't what is actually happening.

It was frustrating enough that Cordelia came upon George with a countess on his lap, locking lips with one another inna secluded garden. Yet after that incident, never once had she tried to confront him about it. She only grew more attached to him. I’d never let that kind of man stand within ten foot pole near me. I’d have dropped his raggedy ass. I mean I was aware that they weren’t promised to each other yet nor bounded by vows, he also shouldn’t have to justify his rakish reputation but still I’d love for a man to stand ten toes down for a person he already has romantic interests in heart (they had already met weeks prior). I absolutely despise OW drama!

Excellent book!! I love how their story started and developed so unconventionally! George and Cori are a great example of better together. And truly, both of them sticking to their convictions rather than allowing the Ton to decide their lives for them is the best part!!

I received a free copy of this book from the author. The thoughts and opinions are my own.

Well done

I’m not certain why people would give such low reviews for this book. I found it quite enjoyable. It was more realistic and well written than many period books that I’ve read in recent years. Thank you for such an enjoyable read.
