Wanita May grew up in the fruit belt of Ontario - St.Catharines. Crazy-happy childhood, she always has had a vivid imagination and loads of energy.

The youngest of six -- four older brothers, and a sister -- taught her at a young age to be competitive in all aspects of life.

At sixteen, she began competing in athletics (track and field) and before she turned seventeen, she was representing Canada in high jump. She continued to compete, breaking Canada's JR High Jump record (1.92m - 6' 3 1/2" for those metric-ly challenged). She attented University of Toronto, and Kansas State University - winning CIAU's and becoming All-American 6x - NCAA Indoors Runner Up + more.

But you're not interested in her athletic career - unless of course you're curious to know she stands 1.70m (5'7") and has jumped 20cm over her head on more than one occassion. She's represented Canada at the World Championships, World Jrs., won Francophone Games, and loved every minute of every competition. From the grueling workouts, the crazy weights she lifted on her back, the days she thought her lungs were going to spit out of her mouth for lack of oxygen, the travelling around the world and the opportunity to read - her favourite past time.

Life continued with her husband (a distance runner from Liverpool, UK, who she met at KSU) and then their first, then second and finally third child. Their house became full of more imagination and stories.

Wanita and her husband run an online business, dealing in antiques and collectables - particularly jewelry and porcelain (one of the business' website: www.wadeincanada.com ).

After her father passed away in 2009, from a six-year battle with cancer (which she still believes he won the fight against), she began to write again. A passion she'd loved for years, but realized life was too short to keep putting it off.

Her first book, Rae of Hope - from the Chronicles of Kerrigan - will be available October 2011 by kNight Romance Publishing.

She is currently represented by Dawn Dowdle of Blue Ridge Literary Agency. Wanita is a writer of Young Adult, Fantasy Fiction and where ever else her little muses take her.

While I had lots of questions from the first book Courage Runs Red, I'm glad most of them were answered in this sequel, The Night Watch. Finally, the readers were enlightened about Caleb and the Rogues, and about Liam and the Blue Bloods.

Kallie had asked for help from the two feuding vampires and she got more than she bargained for. She learned about her true heritage but she was blindsided. She put her trust with the one she thought could help her father, but in the end, she realized she must sacrifice herself and deal with the vampires with the help of another.

Again, WJ May had concocted a paranormal series that is engaging and full of twists. This is not at all what I expected in a vampire book. Mystifying, intriguing, blood-draining. The Night Watch is a must read, even though it ends in a cliffhanger. For me, this kind of endings make me more excited to read the next book!

I swear, how the narrator chose to pitch her voice wrecked this story for me. Probably the most annoying pitch I’ve ever heard.

I didn’t mind the storyline tho! So I possibly will look to continue this via my kindle. The first time this has happened to me.

Gifted audio - honest review
Unfortunately 2.5 stars because …… that voices pitch ….. gosh.

Gosh, this author loves her cliffhangers. I wasn't as in love with the heroine this time around and it was difficult to figure things out with Liam and Caleb and everything else. Not that either of them was particularly trying to keep her in the loop.

Night Watch Review

I would recommend this story if you love love triangles. Their are twists like you wouldn't see. This was so far the greatest book in the series but I can't wait to read the other two.

This book was okay, I only read it to follow up to the cliff hanger of the first book. There seems to be a lot of back and forth between the characters in terms of plot development. The main character's inability to make a decision and she struggles with her feelings about the other characters, kind of wish she would grow some backbone....

I received an ARC of this book from Hurricane Readers Book Reviews in exchange for an honest review.

I won't give any spoilers. I really enjoyed the first book in this trilogy, so I was excited to read The Night Watch. It started out a little slow but didn't take long to pick up.

Kallie doesn't who she should trust Caleb, Liam or both. Usually in the case of a love triangle I lean toward one or the other (pick a team) but not so in this case. Maybe it's because we see the story through Kallie's eyes and she is so unsure of who to trust and she seems to care about them pretty equally. I personally don't think either of them mean her harm.

I can't wait for the last part of the trilogy, I'm sure we're in for some surprises.

Kallie finds herself surrounded by vampires. Her dad was victim to numerous attacks. When the only one who steps up to help her is a Red Blood Vampire it causes lots of problems with the Blue Blood vampires. Can things get better or will there still be a fued going on

I received a copy in return for an honest review from Hurricane Reader Reviewers.

I am really loving paranormal books right now and W. J. May hasn't disappointed me yet. This installment was fast paced and flowed very well. Kallie learns a lot about herself and vampires. It has a helluva cliffhanger so be prepared. I can't wait for next installment!

I listened to the audiobook version of this book. I would have rated this higher, but the narrator's voice of the main character was so incredibly WHINEY, I couldn't believe that any of the other characters could stand to be near her. It kind of ruined it for me.

I don't usually like books with less than 200 pages because I'm finished with them too fast. But this series in so freakin' good!!!!!! Can't wait to read the next one!
