What in the 84 pages of smut? My pearls are so tightly clutched they've officially left the building.
This is a fast paced, fun Halloween novella that you can easily inhale in one sitting. The plot was giving me 90s horror movie vibes from page 1- our FMC knows on some level the job offer she receives for one night of cat sitting is PROBABLY too good to be true and she's more than likely going to her death but shrugs it off anyway because someone sends her a photo of a cute cat and dangles $500. Would I go? Probably.
We were warned at the outset that plot is limited (it's 84 pages people, what did you expect) but somehow despite that, Shannon still manages to give us a damn good time and an eternally memorable character ... Mr Pickles. The traitorous black cat that lured Violet to her doom (or the best night of her life) in the first place.
It was funny, short, spicy and smutty and I also loved that we are representing the plus size community here!
This was all treat and no trick- definitely the Halloween read I didn't know I needed. Long live Mr Pickles!

As someone who has read a lot of smut, from faeries to the door one (Yes, that door one), to the extent that my husband has on numerous occasions told me my next read should be the bible - I'd say I'm somewhat of an expert. So when I say Trick Me. Treat Me. is one of the best, filthiest, most unhinged pieces of smut I've had the privilege to read, I think you can trust that 🤣
In 84 pages Shannon V Velzen has me so invested in characters that I finished this novella and was immediately like - soooo more? In a 0 plot book, her writing still had me enraptured and I would give anything for a longer book with these characters.
Like with Shannon's other work having a curvy woman not only be worshipped by 3 hot but admittedly insane men, but also having them assuaging her concerns about being to big just adds to my love of her.
Each MMC had such a unique voice, which in 84 pages is so impressive to the point that I dream cast an audiobook while reading it (Teddy Hamilton would make the perfect Knock, IYKYK).
I can't finish my review without mentioning the true star of this book: Mr Pickles. A gloriously adorable, soot sprite who I would literally die for. I'm begging you Shannon, please give me a follow up and more of Mr Pickles - I viscerally need it.
If you want a high plot book, this is categorically not the book for you (read He Who Holds My Soul by Shannon instead 👀). But if you want some spicy Halloween fun, that has a drool worthy cast, and a menu length trigger list pick this up when it's released and I guarantee you will be satisfied 😘

I genuinely have no bad words to say about this book. It’s short, feral, filthy, and the perfect little Halloween fantasy read if you fancy something that gets straight to the point. Hahaha!
Violet accidentally sharing her deepest, darkest fantasies with a gaming squad over the microphone whilst drunk… only for those three men to decide to bring those fantasies to life? EXCUSE ME?! Splendid. Absolutely splendid. 🤌🏻😂

Listen put me in a room with these three masked men because that book was HOT. I’m lowkey jealous of violet one experiencing that hot af scenes but also watching 🫠😮💨. Shannon said minimal plot high spice but why was I sweating with anticipation and tension till the spice happened the lead up 🫠🙂I was clutching my dog next to me thinking I was part of a scary movie at one point I was screaming at violet calling her a dumb bitch. I mean if you’re not calling someone a dumb bitch during a spooky erotic horror can you really class the book as spooky 🙂🫠I’m just saying.

If you want an extremely spicy, Halloween themed, why choose, dark romance, then this is the book for you! It's a fast paced, shorter read at only 84, scorching hot, pages, but it left me feeling breathless and kinda feral!
Our lovely FMC, Violet, answers an ad asking for a cat sitter for Halloween night. The pay was really good, and they would provide transport to get her to the residence. What was the worst that could happen? Unfortunately she once drunkenly confessed to some dark kinks to three strangers in a gaming lobby, and that slip-up might just come back to haunt her (in the best way possible).
The star of the book is obviously Mr Pickles, the cat. He's a traitorous ball of fur, but I love him.
As a lover of spicy reads, this one absolutely delivered! If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

Okay… Trick Me, Treat Me was FILTHY. 🥵🎃 Like, Shannon Velzen really said, “It’s Halloween, let’s lose all self-control” and then just went for it. 😂
This was such a fun, spicy little Halloween novella! The chemistry was 🔥, the spice was definitely NOT lacking, and there were plenty of moments where I was like, “Oh… okay, we’re REALLY doing this.” 😂

Okay, so I definitely have mixed feelings about this one lol.
Going into this, I knew there was basically NO plot (which was stated beforehand), so I wasn’t expecting some crazy storyline. But I still wish there was a little more to it!!
AND THAT ENDING?! 😭 You’re telling me they won’t see our FMC again until NEXT HALLOWEEN?! EXCUSE ME?! I know it wasn’t exactly a cliffhanger, but it definitely felt like one. Like girl, I needed a little more closure than that!! 😭
Was it entertaining? Yes. Did I wish there was more to the story? Absolutely.
BUT MR. PICKLES?! 🥹🐈⬛ That cat had my entire heart. Honestly, he might’ve been my favorite character in the whole book. I would literally read an entire book just about Mr. Pickles.
Overall, a fun, quick, spooky little read, but I definitely wanted a more satisfying ending.
Mr. Pickles gets a 5/5 though. That little king carried. 💅🏻🖤

I absolutely LOVED this novella! It was a juicy little quick read perfect for the start of October!
Plus sized FMC representation that doesn't shove it down your throat or make the plot solely about her size, masked MMC's that stand apart from each other and have their own distinct personalities that mesh well together (Ryker has my heart) and the spice? PHEW! Perfectly detailed and well paced- it didn't feel rushed despite the events taking place in a night. I devoured this book right up, it had everything you could want for a naughty Halloween vibe novella with all the action. Plus Mister Pickles? Best character, hands down.
Shannon's writing had me in stitches too, her wording honestly made me stop and say "that's so me" aloud because it was just so "millennial coded" if you will. Love love LOVED it and will be picking up more of her books as they come.

Give me all the MMMF books please!
This was perfect. Not only was this high spice but this was masked men chasing a curvy MMC through a forest, knives involved and everyone fucking one another, it truly can’t get any better!
Although it was set on Halloween it wasn’t overly Halloween themed which I actually liked as I find sometimes that can take over from the actual book and with this having minimal plot it was appropriate

If you are looking for something that has no plot and a whole load of smut, you’re in the right place. This lil book that Shannon has written is pure chaos and I love it. Also, who here doesn’t love at least 1 man in a mask? I mean in this book we get 3, I honestly don’t know what you would even complain about.
I thought I was ready for whatever Shannon was going to throw my way but I guess not. I never am as ready as I think I am.
Definitely recommend this short chaotic read.

I could’ve easily read another 100+ pages. It’s fast paced, gripping, descriptive and filled with smut! An easy, VERY enjoyable read. This book might be less than 100 pages but you literally get a back story for fmc, you find out why the masked mmc’s are obsessed with her, you get a feel for who each of the mmc’s are as individuals and then you’re hooked and left wanting more! When Shannon said all spice no plot Halloween Novella I was like SIGN ME UP! And it delivered. Exactly what it says on the tin, what I wasn’t expecting was to find violet so hilarious in the first few chapters so that was a bonus.

seeing ghostface used as one of the masks for the men is all the convincing i needed to read this :’) ! this was perfect for just a fun no plot all spice novella. violet really did make me laugh a few times and for the rest i was just kicking my feet 🤭

3 Masked Men and a Halloween chase... absolutely. Fast paced and absolutely filthy! I had the absolute best time reading this. I may have to read it again and again cause... well... it would be rude not to wouldn't it?

Sooo I couldn’t be more glad I got to arc read this book 😅 I’ve been in a bit of a slump and well apparently I didn’t know I needed a low plot, high smut why choose!
This is the perfect mix between a little story and just outright filth!
Why choose? Masked men? MM? What’s not to love quite frankly! The smut was perfect and I loved every second
