The boy who remembers everything.
I heard she is finally going home today. The brain is very powerful. Her mind is unable to handle the memories of what happened, so it blocked it out. As I watch her, I envy her. I wish I could forget, just wipe away all the ugly and the bad. I’m not as lucky as the pretty, lost girl.
I would gladly trade places with her. She has no idea how good forgetting can be.

The girl who forgot everything.
I’m going home today. There is nothing the hospital can do to help me remember the last three years. They say I was attacked, but I can't help them find who it was. They say I'll eventually regain my memories but, it takes time. What happens when you run out of time? Regaining my memory becomes a deadly game of life or death.

This is a good entertaining read about a girl with Amnesia and a guy who has a rare condition that has him continually remembering everything. Landon needs a case study and Willow agrees in return for his help in remembering the time she has lost since her attack.

"You are the only thing that feels right anymore."

This story was exciting, interesting and well written. Sadly, the cover doesn't go well with this book. I highly recommend a cover change because the heroine wasn't a whore, she worked in a coffee shop and although she has a boy friend she can't remember, nothing sexually crazy happens in this story. The hero and the heroine have a well paced fall into love. Her memories slowly return as does the truth with the right amount of danger and mystery.

"There's a lot to risk for both of you. Your career and schooling. Her recovery and happiness."

I am not sure I could move on if something so traumatic happened to me that I ended up not being able to remember anything about my life. Fortunately she has Noah, her boyfriend to help her navigate (to some degree) and try to help reclaim her life as it was before, or maybe try to claim her life as it is now. Watching Willow from the beginning of the book to the end of the book is like watching a caterpillar turn into a butterfly. Watching her struggle to regain lost memories as to why she was found in a field, left for dead is one of the most impressive things I have read. The further I got in the book, the faster I ended up reading, because it moved to quickly. The story line is great, the interplay between Willow, Noah, Paige, and Landon are incredible. A must read book!

Do not miss this read! What an amazing story of the mind! Minds tend to keep or block memories for many different reasons. Willow and Landon both have different reasons for the memories they carry or don't. Their doctor suggests Landon helps Willow with her memories, as part of his psychology thesis. This joint venture takes them through a journey of mystery, suspense and finding what your heart and mind really want.

Memorized was my first time reading Alyne Roberts and I enjoyed every minute of her writing and the characters throughout this story.

(Possible Spoilers)

Willow Thorne was has no memory of the past three years. Left for dead in a field, Willow has blocked the incident and the past three years from her mind. She's left trying to uncover this mystery that is her life. With a social status, a new college major, designer clothes and a swanky apartment, put that all together with business man boyfriend Noah. Willow feels out of place and alone. She's confused and just wants to remember her life and the girl she seemed to become when she moved to Atlanta. She knows who she was before. The girl who wanted to start over after losing her parents. The girl who loved playing the violin, and wanted to study music. Starting to piece little things together, Willow isn't sure if she likes the girl she has become the last few years. The only time she seems to feel anything is when she is around Landon. And the pull, the connection she feels toward him is something she wants to hold on to.

Landon Presley studies the way the mind works. Having a rare mind of his own. One that lets him remember every moment of his life. Down to the fine details. It's a daily struggle for him. He's always felt like a outsider, a side show. Having no one to relate to. But his brother Aaron and his mentor Dr. Mason have been by his side through it all. Never letting him feel alone. Studying the way the mind works helps him try to understand his own better. When he See's the fragile women who was found with chucks of her life missing, Landon feels intrigued to understand what happened to her and how she could block so much of her life out. Needing a subject for his thesis, Landon is encouraged to help Willow get back those memories. And along the way try to keep the feelings he has for her turned off. But the connection Willow and Landon share, isn't something that will go away in time. And it starts to make it more complicated for both their lives.

This is a really well written book. I loved each one of this characters. Willow, who goes from lost and broken, to bubbly and sassy, to scared and confused. She's a very strong person, who deals with lost and pain, but strives to live her life and just be happy. Landon who has shut himself off from people. Scared to get attached, to really live. Just stick to his routine. He grows alot in this book. Becoming someone stronger and more brave to face his fears and the way his mind works. I also really adore the secondary characters like Aaron and Paige. They were fun and quirky. A strong unit for their friends/brother.

With all the mystery and suspense. The second chances and obstacles this group faces, help give the love story of Willow and Landon alot of depth.

Alyne Roberts did a fantastic job and I can't wait to read more of her stories.

This was a really great, deep, and memorable book. This book is definitely a reminder that there is more to life than how things appear. Willow wakes up in a hospital and doesn't remember the last 3 years of her life. Landon has the complete opposite problem. He has what is called Hyperthymesia which means that he can recall every biographical event in his life. He is a student in graduate school trying to base his thesis on a student to figure out the memory and things. He takes Willow on as his research study but he can't control feeling and wanting more of her than just the study.

Willow's memories cutoff the last 3 years. And of that time, she has a boyfriend but she doesn't know him. She keeps finding out that she is completely different than the girl she used to be. She loves music and playing her violin. Her parents died when she was 18 years old. She moved to Atlanta from Montana to start fresh. She was going to school as a music major but now she's in school for hotel management. She lives in a very expensive apartment that her boyfriend bought her and she has tons of clothes. She wasn't very materialistic before and she feels lost because she is a completely different person than she was before. Working and talking with Landon help her immensely and she can't help feeling safe with him. He is there for her when she needs someone and she can't help but be attracted to her. She feels so completely conflicted because she has a boyfriend that cares tons about her but he's like a complete stranger to her.

Landon is doing his graduate thesis on the psychological aspects of memory loss. But he feels like his memory is a curse because he can't stop remembering everything. He has to study extra hard because his memory works against him in that aspect. He sometimes gets lost in his memories. He does so many things to keep people from getting close to him because his memory seems to work against him. His mother died and he and his younger brother live together. Aaron, his younger brother, is really smart and great with computers but he got sick of school and works as a bartender. He can't help but be fascinated by Willow. She's beautiful and so lost looking. He feels so much for her and he can't stop himself.

Definitely worth reading.

When Willow wakes up in a hospital, she has forgotten the last 3 years of her life. With no family and far from her hometown, she can only rely on the one person nurses say have been by her side the whole time, Noah. How can she trust a stranger to help recover her memory?

I have read other books by Alyne Roberts and this is by far my favorite. The characters are well developed and the plot refreshingly unique. Willow's transformation throughout the story is one of internal struggle and learning how to live in the moment.

Landon's character is intriguing as he remembers everything. I could not imagine having every memory always at the forefront of my mind. Despite always wanting to distance himself from people, his compassion for Willow allows him to realize some memories are worth reliving.

I will be recommending this book to all my reading friends. With the book world encased in series books, this standalone is much needed in our community.

I received a copy of this story for an honest review for The Reading Room Blog.

I jumped into Memorized as an Alyne Roberts newbie but I can promise you I'm now a solid fan and will be checking out her other works soon. Memorized tells the unique tale of Willow and Landon, a young woman who has lost three years of her memory and a young man who cannot forget a single moment of his entire life. Can they save each other or will one be the final crack to break the other completely?

What I Loved: Memorized is told from both Willow and Landon's POV's, with Willow's POV including flashes into her lost past. Author Alyne Roberts does a beautiful job creating two distinct voices that narrate a creative and detailed plot that flows seamlessly. This is a wonderfully written story that I consumed in one read.

What I Didn't Love: Landon suffers from a condition that forces him to remember essentially everything in his life and I would have appreciated a few more past memories that caused him apprehension about making Willow a permanent part of his life.

Favorite Quotes:

"A large amount of whiskey will wash away the memory of her eyes when they looked at me desperately. A few shots might dull the ache from watching the hope and light die out inside of her."

"I can see the strength inside of her, but it doesn't mean she's unbreakable."

"I want to walk away like I do with anything that I don't think I want to live the rest of my life reliving. Willow has the potential to ruin me, but I have the potential to save her."

Memorized
has a unique plot that cleverly blends romance and mystery. This is definitely worth a read.

Happy reading.

Alyne Roberts gives us two lead characters trying to "fix" the way their minds work and in the process end up fixing each other. Memorized is the sweet, unconventional love story of Willow and Landon.

"I wish I could forget and just wipe away all the ugly and the bad. I'm not as lucky as the pretty, lost girl." ~ Landon

With those thoughts, Landon has spent the last few weeks at the hospital quietly observing Willow, the pretty girl. They way Landon's brain works, he remembers every single detail about her whether he likes it or not. As a psychology student and with a mind like his, Landon has taken an interest in memory and amnesia cases such as Willow.

"I would gladly trade places with her. She has no idea how good forgetting can be." ~ Landon

What Landon doesn't realize is that Willow isn't suppose to remember. Left for dead just a month earlier, Willow has recovered body-wise, but her mind has put up walls to help protect her from the trauma of her past. She knows certain things and others are starting to come back to her slowly, however what she remembers isn't good for her livelihood.

"Ironic how we both found each other; I can only look forward and he can only look back." ~ Willow

They team up and the more that Landon uncovers about Willow's past, the more she realizes how much trouble she's in. Living a lie and trying to start new with Landon is a juggling act you can see isn't going to stay up in the air for long. Landon jumps off of the page as the right choice, but the underlying circumstances keep Willow trapped.

The book is well written from dual points of view to keep the story moving along. Alyne Roberts has the perfect mix of angst, romance, sexy and suspense, which is wrapped up with a nice epilogue as well.

4 Stars!!

After reading the synopsis for Memorized, I was hooked. I couldn't wait to receive the ARC from Alyne Roberts. The minute I started, it was hard to stop. I started reading it one night prior to bed and the next day, all I could think about was what was going to happen next!

Willow woke up in a hospital after being attacked and left for dead. As a result of her attack, she can't remember the last 3 years of her life. She doesn't remember anything about the attack and the only person she has to help her get reunited with her life is Noah. Noah is her boyfriend and he feels like a complete stranger to her. When Willow gets home from the hospital, everything in her life seems foreign to her and not a life she would've imagined living. She remembers her life growing up and going away to college, but after that, she doesn't remember how she got to where she is now.

Then there's Landon. A psychology student that is helping Willow remember the events that took place in hopes of getting her memories back. With London's help, she starts getting bits and pieces of her memory back. One thing I really enjoyed when reading this story, was it was like solving a puzzle and trying to put everything together. It definitely held my attention when it came to suspenseful situations. If you are looking for a love triangle story that keeps you guessing throughout the book, I recommend that you pick this one up!

**TARA'S REVIEW**

Can you imagine waking up not knowing the last several years of your life, or what even occupied to cause your amnesia? That is what happened to Willow Thorne.

What if the tables were turned and you could never forget every single feeling, emotion and action you have lived. Haunting memories and emotions at every turn. That is Landon's life.

For Landon's college Thesis, he is paired with Willow to understand her amnesia and try to gain back her memories. Tempted and intrigued by Willow, Landon allows things to go too far...Secrets will be revealed and lives will be changed because of it.!

I love a good romantic mystery and this one had me on the edge of my seat. I fell hard and fast for the cocky attitude and tender heart that Landon had. He was easy to love and understand. Through his inability to forget, I couldn't help feel story for him and wonder what it would be like to live every day with things triggering memories for me, all day.

I equally adored Willow. I loved the who done it aspect of her storyline and found her easily relatable. I loved her down to earth attitude.

Now, as I stated I love a good mystery. Although, I easily predicted how things occurred to cause Willow to be hurt pretty early on in the book. I still enjoyed the reveal and how everything played out.

This is a first I have read by this author and I will be on the lookout for future books.

It's a unique story about a girl who suffers from the inability to remember the last 3 years of her life and a boy who suffers from the inability to forget anything from his life.
Due to the trauma of being attacked and left for dead, Willow wakes up in a hospital and remembers nothing from the last three years. The man that was in her room when she woke up claims to be her longtime boyfriend. He's wealthy and takes care of her by paying for her expensive apartment and pampering her with shopping sprees and spa appointments. But, the more she looks into her life the more she realizes she is no longer the same person she remembers.
Landon guards himself. He doesn't let many people in because everything stays with him forever. His mind is constantly replaying things that have happened. He would give anything to forget. Just to have some peace from the past and his thoughts.
Together Landon and Willow try to figure out the last three years of Willow's life.
This story kept me guessing and kept the pages turning. I enjoyed the characters and the story. The author did a great job of writing an original story with well developed characters and suspense as well as passion.

The story has laughs, pain, secrets, lost memories, betrayal, suspense, and heartbreak.

This is Willow’s story. Willow was beaten and left for dead. She has lost the last three years of her memory. Landon needs to find a person to work with on a study. Willow is chosen as that person. He wants her to get back her memories and will help her however he can. As the memories comes back she wonders why Noah has not told her big thinks that happened that she remembered. Someone is following her but who is it? Noah does not want her to have contact with Landon but Noah is never around when Willow needs him. The more memories come back the more Willow does not understand why she is with Noah. In the end will she choose Noah or Landon? Will all her memories come back or will her mind protect her from them forever?

I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book, can’t wait for the next story in this series.

This was a surprise for me, the story was more than I expected from the sexy cover. Willow is recovering from a trauma that has taken her memory, and left her scared, confused and alone. Well there is Noah, the "boyfriend" but from the word go you get the heebie jeebies from him. Or at least I did. I went to worst case scenario with him very fast- was sure he was a pimp or drug dealer. AR keeps us guessing for a while, and the twist is painful and surprising.

I adore Landon, his voice was unique and passionate. Seemingly aloof and quiet, he feels too deeply and his heart is so amazing.

Oh Willow, being a sleuth is just not for you. I love the passage about the three different Willows- how she has been them all and is now the best parts of them all. Her journey was hard, but knowing who she is and what she wants is so worth it.

A unique twist on the amnesia story, a funny and sexy read.
