Using the concept of Neath-Death Experience (NDE) as an illustrative cornerstone, this book presents an extensive catalogue of compelling and verifiable scientific evidence that there is life after death. The book has identified and acutely explored renewed insights that have clearly demystified the perplexing concept of death, and offered unprecedented clarity about this muddling and highly dreaded eventuality. The phenomenon of death arouses overwhelming perplexity across individuals, communities and cultures. Despite the non-negotiable authoritative mandate of death, as the conclusive phase of everyone’s finite journey on earth, this committed and unrelenting servant of nature is frequently viewed with vexation and incomprehension; because of the predictable certainty and faithfulness with which death discharges its duties. Its inherent callousness and enduring mystery has prompted many to develop downright apathy to any discussion or matter pertaining to death. Yet, such a stance would by no means disentangle anyone from the platform of its sovereignty. Many had infinitely wondered if at all anything remains of human life beyond the threshold of death; a concern that has incarnated across all societies and cultures throughout the world. Yet, those who have developed and sharpened their super-sensory faculties have consistently declared that just as physical birth depicts the temporary death of the soul, so does physical death symbolises the rebirth of the soul into live in a more glorious, blissful and perfectly secured form of life, which can hardly ever be contemplated by the most luxurious of human imaginations. This book thus presents a catalogue of compelling and scientifically validated evidence of Near-Death Experiences. Individuals who underwent these experiences were clinically pronounced dead, but were subsequently revived and thus returned to physical life. The book commences by providing a sharpened definition of death from both a biological and spiritual perspective. It proceeds to examine cultural and religious perspectives and attitudes toward death across a multitude of religious traditions and cultures throughout the world. It then furnishes a detail account of the scientific and spiritual process of death. The book then proceeds to navigate interesting vistas of the relationship between science and spirituality, by introducing the phenomenon of Near-Death Experience (NDE). The extensive and meticulous work of Dr. Raymond Moody on Near-Death Experience is granted a fair hearing, followed by other compelling scientific attestations that the phenomenon of Near-Death Experience is indeed a reality. The book then delves into one of the most excitement-gripping parts, whereby it coherently presents wholly breathtaking and enlightening Near-Death Experiences from credible and verified sources around the world. Cases are then presented of atheists who underwent Near-Death Experiences, which impelled a radical and unprecedented transformation in their outlook on life. The New York Times described Edgar Cayce as America’s most mysterious man, due to the approximately 14.000 Neath-Death Experiences he underwent during the span of his life. The book explores a particular scenario whereby Edgar Cayce encountered and discussed with the angel of death who was carrying a pair of scissors. Evidence is presented of dead people who lived in the spirit world, but who were born into this physical world, such that they had vivid memories of their previous existence. The book then concludes with a gentle reminder of how every human possesses inherent power that can be developed, enabling anyone to explore the spiritual realms while still living in this physical world.
It was interesting reading, except for all the typos. By typos, I don't mean mis-spelled words, but missed words, such as using "her" instead of "his", words out of context or totally wrong words in a sentence. This was very distracting and took away from the book. The author should have had an independent source re-read the book for all these obvious mistakes.
