Jade knows how to keep her head down and focus on the getting through highschool. After her moms overdose, she is sent to live with her Grandpa who doesn't even want her. In two months she will be eighteen and free, just two months to get through before she can build her own path.
There is a curse for Silverman men, they know when they find there one and when they do nothing will get in there way. When Stephan sees Jade he knows she is it, but she is not cooperating. She is stubborn, mouthy, and not swooning in his mere presence. Stephan Stumbles a bit, he has never had to work for a woman but his only focus is keeping Jade safe and happy, but when outside threats put her in harms way Stephan doesn't know if being with him is the best path for Jade.
Loved this one, Stephan is a JERK with capital JERK written all over it. I think he honestly thought Jade would swoon and come to heal. I am so excited about more in this series, full of sparks.

I don’t normally pick at errors in a book but the amount in this book was overwhelming. There were a lot of misspelled words, repeated words and missing words in sentences. Frankly, it just distracts the reader from the story. If the author cleaned this up it would be a decent read.
I choose this book because it had caveman in the series title and it did deliver. It’s great for readers who love the jealous and possessive Hero. However the heroine was annoying and pushed away too much. Also, there was a small amount of other woman drama, but no cheating.

Wow, ok! Now, that was.... is Jordan Silver writing under another pen name?
I swear at some points i thought i was reading one of her books.
But weirdly that wasn't that bad.
Stephan is an asshole! But in a good way. He and his twin are bound to a spell that gives the ability to every male in his family to identify his true soul mate, but that turns them into overprotective, crazy cavemen.. He believes it's a curse, but he will soon change his mind..
When he meets the new student in school, Jade he will fall so hard and fast, like noone ever thought he was cappable of. He won't even recognize himself. The need to make her, his and give her everything will surpass any logical reaction.. Leading to mistakes..
Jade has been through too much in her short 18 years and now she has an insanely hot guy trying to seduce her. She doesn't believe in his promises and she is too guarded but can't stop thinking about him and secretly even wanting him..
This will turn into a cute, over exaggerated romance, with a nice hook and a sweet end.
So Stephan, is the perfect book for eyerolling, but also entertaining enough. Absolutely hilarious and let's face it, badly writen, still though i read it all and i didn't hate it..
THOUGHTS ABOUT THE BOOK
- There wasn't a soul out there, wanting to read and edit this book? The first half was extremely flawed.
- I liked Derrick.
- The Brand or Brad debacle, proved me wrong. They are two different people, but i believe the author shouldn't have chosen so similar names for two secondary characters.
- It had it's funny moments.
- And the serious, too..
- I was expecting so much more drama..

DNF 50%-Lost interest . Immature h.
💟I got past that immature writing , because in my opinion if you can understand what's written , then it's not amateurish.
⏹What bothered me was,
1️⃣The h was stupid after the first few pages.
I love a strong woman who can stand up for herself , but c'mon her grandpa bloody bruised her , men are trying to assault her , and she's rejecting when Stephan is hiring bodyguards to follow her around. That seemed stupid to me.
2️⃣Also , Stephan , Mr. has another story , I mean , why the hell is he a pusher, there's a VEEEEEEERY slight difference b/w being pushy and being OTT.
When Stephan asker her , "What's your fav. color?." She answered him . But then , when she didn't ask back what his fav. color was, he got annoyed and asked her ."Aren't you gonna ask me what MY fav. color is?" That sounded so......... idk , I didn't like him.
3️⃣But still he was better than her.
4️⃣Even though I don't read manho + virgin pairing , I gave this a shot JUST because he was casual before ,and was completely devoted , NOT CASUAL towards Jade.
5️⃣Stephan's family was really nice .
6️⃣I didn't like Jade , in my opinion , in books , the h being strong does NOT mean that ..... she just sits around and let's the man do the chasing , or is too cold and stuck up towards him . I understand that Stephan was a manwhore , and rightly so he shud be working REALLY hard to pursue the h , but hs words LITERALLY were and I quote , "I will never become one of those women. I won’t chase you around. I won’t follow you like a puppy waiting for any attention. I will not beg you to do anything. I am my own woman.”
7️⃣She seemed ....too cold when she said these words. And she's NOT a doormat I agree , but...... what with all the situation going around her, everybody just...pampering her like a new born baby , she STILL thinks that Stephan is an a-hole.

Stephan aka The Caveman
Jade aka Caveman's soulmate
This book started out as fun and hot then quickly turned psycho with how controlling/domineering Stephan was.
Reminded me of a certain vampire book and movie
The characters.... some of the things they said or did... they made no sense to me whatsoever. This book gave me whiplash with all of the going back and forth over the things that made no sense. I don't know how many WTF??? moments I had.
But, if you are just looking for a semi steamy break from all reality then this will do just fine.

Had my fav type of hero; OTT possessive and jealous caveman.

I do love alpha heroes and Stephan certainly was in all his caveman glory. But...he was disgusting in the beginning. I mean does anyone else know a 19 yo high school student who sleeps with a different girl or woman all the time and older women to boot? He was a manwhore of epic proportions.(Before he meets Jade) Not only that but he gets drunk and wakes up with an almost naked girl draped on him and he panics because he can't remember what, if anything, happened. (Nothing did) Then, he breaks her heart, leaving her "for her own protection" and drags his damn family into abandoning her too when she needed them all very much. It broke my heart for her. All while he supposedly met his soul mate and was in love wth her. Okay, so I'm a little ambivalent towards him.
So, he did come around and ended up being really good to Jade. And he never wavered or messed with anyone else from the first time he sees her. But I dont know...I just wasn't impressed.

It had its moments, but when it came down to it I think the heroine forgave the hero too quickly when she saw that woman (Linda) approach Stephan. She gives him a hard time for about 40% of the book and all the sudden Jade forgives Stephan after she talks to his brother.
Jade's mother dies of a meth overdose. She goes to love with her grandfather who is a a drug dealer/user. Stephan Silverman, a playboy, manwhore, no relationship type of guy does not believe in the family curse that says that the men in the Silverman family go a caveman when they find their soulmate. I tried to finish it but I couldn't connect to any of the characters.
Stephan was overbearing and sometimes too cheesy for my liking. I would have still liked the book if Jade had thrown some sass or stubborn attitude but she gave in way too easily.
The blurb had some merit in it and it had a different plot from the books I've been reading lately but there was something missing to make this story an interesting and enjoyable read.
And the syntax and grammatical just added to its downfall for me!

If you love Alphas, well you have to read this book. I loved it. I had a good time reading it. Stephan was truly a caveman Lol and I really liked that Jade put up a fight against him and his charm.

This is a solid 3 star read for me. It was okay and interesting enough but not memorable.
Stephan is a nineteen year old senior in high school who believes his entire family is cursed because they, when they find their "one," become alpha possessive cavemen who can't seem to understand the fact that women have rights beyond merely being there to please them. For the most part, Stephan is an okay guy. Not amazing or wonderful but okay. He has his stupid moments but what else can you expect from a guy struck by the family "curse" right? Then we have Jade who is the new girl at school. She is a seventeen year old senior who was forced to live with her grandfather after her mother overdosed. She is incredibly buxom and stands a little over five feet tall. Everyone wants her but she has her own issues to deal with. But amazingly Stephan claims her and, while she puts up a token fight, does eventually give in. I have to be honest and say that I probably would have done the same if I had been through everything that she had.
Why was this not a 4 or 5 star read you ask? I couldn't believe how everyone behaved in the story. It had a little too much angst for my taste. Also, the use of the word "nether lips." I'm sorry but that just sounded so wrong that it completely threw me the first time I read it. The plot was okay, the characters were okay, everything about this book was just okay for me.

Huh. I did not like the hero. thought he was a JERK. It seemed like a rip off of Jordan Silver, and I like JS. But this did not work for me. He treated her like shit at one point and I could not believe she let it go! He was not even remorseful. Just acted like a child who did not get his way. And, BTW - waking up with a mostly naked woman is not OK. It is also not OK that you could remember nothing and never had to own up to it. Does not matter that you did nothing. You were so drunk you could not remember. To me, you just got lucky!

Jade is just trying to finish high school, and go away to college where she can make a future for herself. She’s been through a lot, practically raising herself due to her drug addict mother. When her mother dies of a drug overdose, Jade goes to live with her drug dealer grandpa in Reed Creek. Jades’s grandfather is a drug dealer, blames her for her mother’s death, and was abusive towards his own daughter. Jade is just trying to keep her head down so she can accomplish her goal of making a different life for herself.
Stephan’s life is the total opposite of Jades. He has both his parents and they love him like you’d expect a parent to. His family is also petty fucking
rich (bonus!). But Stephans family also has what he calls a curse- the men act like complete cavemen when the come across their soul mates. Naturally, Stephan is perfectly happy with his sexual lifestyle- never devoting himself to one female for too long. Then, one morning before school he literally runs into Jade.
Stephan has to learn to temper his inner caveman, and Jade has to learn to trust and depend on Stephan, and by extension, his family.
I enjoyed this one! Jade took a while before she truly could let Stephan in. There were times I wanted to shake her because this was someone who proved in every little way that his “curse” was real and that he was absolutely in love with her. But Jade went through a lot in life and the book. I could see how independence was super important to her. The only negative that really sticks out is the loose end that is Jade’s attempted murderer. Who was it? Did he follow them to college? I think maybe it was the dude that her grandfather was selling drugs to, but did they ever catch him? Maybe I missed something.

Ok this book was one of those books you wouldn't admit to most of your friends that you read and loved.
It had the OTT alpha, insta love, a few tstl misunderstandings or miscommunications, loads of editing issues and a very simple story line but it was the perfect middle of the night book to prevent me from sleeping so I could read how it all played out.
I think this series is the perfect dirty little secret for anyone who likes Jordan Silver's alpha's and isn't going to cry about the fact that in real life you probably would kick him in the nuts and run in the other direction.
I will 100% be reading the next installments, just not in public or where anyone might ask me what I am reading and why I am squirming ;)

Good story. Really liked Stephan but got a bit frustrated with Jade at times and had to keep reminding myself that she was barely eighteen. Would have liked an epilogue. The ending was charming and I hope to see more of Stephan and Jade in the rest of the series to come.

3 1/2 stars for me. I was really enjoying the over top alphaness of the story and it would have been four stars, but the last 10% was too sweet for me. I felt like Jade became a little too spoiled at that point and wasn't feeling it.

I am very confused by the writing style.. Everything was told not shown, almost like a list of actions and thoughts.. Overall cute idea,but so OTT and over-exagerrated..

Overall: Jade is starting a new school because her mother has just died from a meth overdose. She moved to Reed Creek to live with her mean old grandfather and to start the last year of school. On her first day she bumps into a guy that she calls Wanker. After that said Wanker realizes that Jade is his soul mate that his dad and uncle have always told him about. So he starts on a mission to win her over, but Jade has a guard up over her heart and it takes a lot for him to break through it. Slowly but surly because Stephen is so persistent she lets him in and bad things start to happen to her. After this point Stephen tries as hard as he can to protect her and in some ways he goes about it all the wrong way. After he realizes that he made a big mistake he goes above and beyond to make her see how much he really loves her. Eventually Jade lets him back in her heart and gives him something that can be only giving once. In the end they get a wonderful HEA.
Pros: I really loved all the surprises that Stephen had for Jade's 18th birthday. He went above and beyond to make it something special for her and it was one of my favorite parts of the book. I also really loved Stephan's mom because she seemed like such a kind and caring soul.
Cons: I really wish the story would've started out with the author telling us about the gypsy "curse" and why it was granted upon the Silverman's. At times I just got confused when it was brought up because I didn't fully understand it. I also wish that the characters would've been a little older. It was odd for me because she was just turning 18 and he was already 19 and they were planning to spend the rest of their lives together.

choppy/ didn’t connect/struggled to finish
I really wanted to like this.. I really did but I just don’t. I love OTT JP caveman type alphas. But this was just….not for me. The story was in one word- disconnected.
-the formatting/writing is CHOPPY. Things didn’t connect, make sense or go together. This girl is totally against the H, then she’s like where is he? I miss him…. She’s beaten badly, then she’s smacking the H with her cast… WHAT?! Lol then we like never hear about the cast again.. she’s not at all interested then BOOM she is outta no where, I mean there was not leading to it at all. It just was bad…
-H was JP. He was Possessive and wanted to be with her every second. It was a good concept but just didn’t flow. This has a similar “boom” set up as ARR until series, this family’s men know their soul mate upon sight and it’s all over from there
-We don’t really get much story
-No smexy time till like 80% and there’s like only kisses before this. There’s been really no talk of them doing it, past experiences NOTHING. Yeah just so disconnected.

I love the possessive, jealous caveman that lurks in men. Sometimes you only get glimpses of him and sometimes he breaks down the door and sweeps you away.
Stephan and Jade have a mix of both.
This book hit all the right hot spots and was a real page turner for me. I love HG's books and have almost all of them. I like the writing style and how easily it all flowed and how we knew the emotions of the characters.
Stephan's brother is next in the series, I believe. He had a good time laughing at Stephan when things weren't going Stephan's way. I'm sure Derrick will be fighting that caveman buried so deep in his DNA by a girl that just doesn't get why he's so crazy.
If you are a fan of Jordan Silver you will like this caveman series.

I loved this book! It was an awesome read and I loved the characters!
This is m first book by Hazel and was a great read! I love reading Aussie stories and this was set in Australia.
I was wondering if you plan on releasing more and if so who will get a story and when? I am looking forward to Richard, Zeck & of course Derrick.
I hope we learn more about Stephan & Jade as things progress... Derrick will make an awesome uncle :)
On a side note I hope that the author will consider an epilogue next time!
I would compare the author's style to Dawn Martens, Chantal Fernando & Jordan Silver. I read this book after reading Talon's Heart by Jordan Silver and would highly recommend this for anyone who loved this book.
