Seattle Puckaneers
Blueline Baby
Chloe Dalton has rules. Namely, ones that don't include a playboy disaster of a hockey player. Specifically one that doesn't mistakenly fall through her front door in the middle of the night.
Jack Anderson has decided, with all the confidence of a man who's never had to work for anything, that he is going to be the exception to Chloe's rules.
She isn't interested. She has school, a future, a very short list of things worth losing her focus over, and a reckless six-foot-three problem is not on it.
But somewhere between the terrible pickup lines and the games she pretends she isn't watching, Chloe starts to slip.
When the plan changes entirely Jack has the opportunity to leave the playboy behind, finally ready to be the man who stays.
The only problem is that Chloe isn't afraid he would stay, she's afraid of what she'll become if he does.

10/10 book. I read this book in less than 24 hours and that because I had to go to bed last night. This book is so cute. But not for everyone. I’ve seen so many things for this book on Pinterest and decided to start it yesterday. I think I’m finally getting out of my slump.
Chloe: she hated Jack for 2 whole months. Perfect student, goody two shoes, always had a plan. When someone told her she shouldn’t be with Jack, she threw herself at him.
Jack: he always got what he wanted, as a hockey player in the NHL he was never told no. When Chloe knew everything about hockey but kept rejecting him, he knew his life would change for this girl.
This book follows Chloe and Jack as they fight a relationship and Jack changes to get the girl. The first half is so genuine and sweet. Once the pregnancy is announced it’s not really made the biggest deal. Yes we see a ton about the baby, but we see how wholesome Jack and Chloe are.
This book may feel rushed to others, if you don’t like accidental pregnancy please don’t read it.
This is a sports romance (hockey), hockey player and college student, slow to get together, fast paced but not rushed relationship, accidental baby turned blessing, low stakes, emotional but not terrible, make you want to cry in a good way, make you want to slap the characters, happily ever after, spice (2.5-3/5).
Honestly, this is a a book that I wasn’t sure about but told myself it would be good. It’s 409 pages on Apple Books and I read it so fast. If you read this and need a rant, just let me know.

I absolutely loved this story! I had already read their daughter’s book, where she falls in love with someone on her father’s team, so getting to go back and read her parents’ love story made this one even more special.
I loved seeing how they first met and how quickly everything between them developed, especially with the surprise pregnancy thrown into the mix. The way he handled everything and immediately stepped up made me love him even more, and I found myself completely falling for this couple and their relationship.
Knowing where their story eventually leads made all of those little moments even sweeter. This series is so well written, the couples are so much fun to read about, and every book just makes me want to keep going. I seriously can’t wait to read more!

The BEST novella to tie this part of the series together! We met Jack and Chloe in The Unexpected Save, and now we finally get to see their story unfold—and getting to see how MacKinnon got her name?! THAT was the icing on the cake. 🥹- Tears... so many tears.
I bawled like a BABY reading this novella. Like, excuse me, Tisha?! My heart was not prepared for all the feelings you packed into these pages!
Tisha delivers some of the BEST banter and chemistry on the page, and Jack and Chloe are the perfect example of how opposites really do attract. Jack is your average playboy—always the center of attention, whether he's at a party or tearing it up on the ice. Chloe is the exact opposite. Quiet, reserved, and a woman whose plans have plans. 😂
But somehow, these two just WORK. Their chemistry, their banter, and the way they balance each other had me completely hooked. I loved watching Jack bring Chloe out of her shell while Chloe gave Jack something he didn't even realize he was missing.
And then we get the emotional side of their story, and that's where Tisha absolutely got me. Seeing their journey and finally understanding the meaning behind MacKinnon's name made this novella feel so much more special. It wasn't just a little bonus story—it was the perfect piece to connect everything together.
Short, sweet, emotional, and packed with all the banter and chemistry I’ve come to expect from Tisha Patrick. I laughed, I swooned, and apparently I cried my damn eyes out. 😂❤️ Like I messaged a video of myself crying to her.

Smart, witty, and laugh out loud funny this little novella packs a big robust story within its pages that gives you a boy obsessed storyline, and trust me nobody does boy obsessed like Jack, a pregnancy that changes everything, and the origin story you have been pretty much salivating for if you’ve read The Unexpected Save, and it’s flawlessly fabulous!
Tisha Patrick has just done an outstanding job with this, making Jack and Chloe characters you genuinely like and love, showing them exactly as you’d expect from all the little gems that were dropped in other books but a thousand times better with a shockingly large amount of depth to them for such a little read and I cannot even explain to you how cute it is or how much I love seeing all these little character traits that Mackie has in The Unexpected Save in Jack and Chloe while your reading this. This is basically the prequel, foreshadowing and all, that came later because the whole world needed Jack and Chloe’s story and Tisha Patrick blew all expectations right out of the water.

I’m dubbing Tisha Patrick queen of novellas, because HOW did so much happen in 200 pages??
Jack and Chloe’s story is honestly so adorable, and hit all the marks without feeling rushed. They had the most delicious banter, and their dynamic felt authentic. Somehow we got characters with depth and believable chemistry despite the shortened timeline.
I also really appreciated the recognition that Chloe needed to choose what was right for HER. Society places so many conflicting expectations on woman, and especially mothers. Jack learned that support wasn’t fixing everything, but being there to support Chloe in her choices. It was heartwarming to watch this reformed playboy go all in for Chloe and eventually his family.
Having just read the Seattle Puckaneers this felt like the best like gift to cap off an era. Tisha definitely knows how to balance the romance, spice, and sports in her stories and I’ll not so patiently waiting for what she does next!
✨ Thank you Tisha Patrick for the ARC ✨

Blueline baby was amazing to read and I am so happy I was able to get this opportunity to read and review this book
The way it pulled me in in just a second was amazing the way he kept going for chlo was amazing to read . The way she slowly gave into it and accepted her feelings. The way he kept supporting her when saying she was pregnant. And then also apologizing for being so hasty with "something that stays for you to read 😏*
And then Reassuring her when she thinks. He would think she did it on purpose.
Long story short I loved it tisha thank you for this opportunity YOU DID IT GIRL

Another book added to the series I will ALWAYS recommend to people when given the chance! And the accidental pregnancy trope is my all time favorite. This book had me awake at nearly 2am literally cackling over Jack quite literally panicking about Chloe going into labor unexpectedly because from a personal stance, let’s face it.. the moment your water breaks that’s when you come to realization of “oh shit, this is real and it’s happening.”

Tisha absolutely DELIVERS when it comes to banter and chemistry, and Jack & Chloe are proof that opposites really do attract! Jack is your confident, attention-loving playboy who’s always the center of attention—whether he’s at a party or tearing it up on the ice. And Chloe? The complete opposite. Quiet. Reserved. And a woman whose plans have PLANS.
But somehow… THEY JUST WORK.
Their chemistry had me hooked, their banter had me smiling, and I loved watching Jack bring Chloe out of her shell while Chloe gave Jack something he didn’t even realize he was missing.
And then Tisha decided to come for my EMOTIONS. 😭

Blueline Baby was my first read by Tisha Patrick and it won't be my last! It was really great Hockey romance novella between NHL player Jack and college student Chloe set in the early to mid 2000's. It's a short and sweet read packed with banter and a gaurnteed laugh from these two. I absolutely loved how down bad Jack was for Chloe, Jack fell hard and fast (literally!!). I can't wait to go back and read Tisha's other books!
