Minnesa Charles hired Bishop Brooks to cook for her divorce party, but by the end of the night, dinner isn’t the only thing he’s serving. Newly divorced and ready to enjoy her freedom, Minnesa never expected the younger private chef to tempt her into breaking a few rules. Bishop is more than willing to show her exactly what she’s been missing. The only question is, can Minnesa handle everything Chef Bishop has on the menu?
This book was chef’s kiss…pun absolutely intended! 😂💋
Five stars for the story AND five stars for the spice because whew… this book was delicious in every sense of the word! 🔥👀
What starts as a divorce party turns into something Minnesa definitely wasn’t expecting, but clearly needed. And let me just say, I loved every page of this one! The chemistry, the vibes, the spice… Thee Tasha Marie was definitely cooking! 👩🏾🍳🔥
I had a whole plate of this story and cleaned the dish! 😂📖
I’m definitely hoping we get to see more of these two in the future because I’m not quite ready to leave them behind yet!
Thee Tasha Marie always delivers a quick spicy read. Minessa freshly divorced after giving 21 years to a man she thought was her forever. She decided to book an Airbnb, hire a private chef, and celebrate her divorce with her girlfriends. When the chef shows up being a fine young chocolate of a man, she end up with more than she could’ve hoped for. Bishop was exactly what she needed in that moment, someone to remind her that she deserved more than she settled for, and that age is just a number. It’s exactly what the title said, she got the chef’s special and we’re not just talking food 🤭
What better way to celebrate an ending and kickstart a new beginning than throwing a divorce party. What wasn’t expected is the talent of a young private chef whose talents extend beyond the kitchen. A quick read on how Minnesa got her grove back and realize how important it is for her to prioritize herself.
Get a divorce...✔️ Plan a divorce party...🔄 Hire a personal chef who’ll fold me like a pretzel...🔄
When Minnesa met and married her college sweetheart Cedric, she never imagined that 21 years later she would be a divorcée. Now she's embarking on a new journey of self-discovery, starting with a divorce party with her friends and a personal chef. She's about to discover that his hands are gifted not only in the kitchen but also in the bedroom.
Thee Tasha Marie is the queen of a good novella, and this was no different. She has a talent for delivering full stories in bite-sized pieces. This is just the right book to get you in the mood to meet your reading goals.
What I really appreciate about Tasha Marie’s shorter stories, though, is that the spice never feels like the only thing there. Even with limited pages, she still manages to give the characters enough personality, chemistry, and actual story that I care about what’s happening between them.
That’s probably my favorite thing about reading her erotica. I almost always finish one of her novellas wanting a little more — more time with the characters, more of the relationship, or just more of that world. For something so short, it still feels like there’s a real story underneath all the spice.
Quick, spicy, and exactly what I expect from Tasha Marie’s erotica.
Minnessa is 41, newly divorced after nearly 20 years of marriage, and instead of sitting around sad—sis rents a luxury Airbnb, grabs her girls, throws a whole DIVORCED AF PARTY and hires a private chef.
Enter BISHOP. 👨🏾🍳😮💨
Fine. Tattooed. Braids. AND can cook?! Girl BYE. 😭
Minnessa has been married so long she doesn’t even know how to flirt anymore, but Bishop makes it VERY clear that he sees her. And let’s just say… by the end of that weekend, she got EVERYTHING she’d been missing. 😮💨🌶️😂
But what really got me wasn’t just the spice—Bishop made her feel SEEN. 😌 He spoke affirmations into her and reminded her that she deserved LOVE, deserved to be handled properly, and deserved the desires of her heart.
THAT was the hidden gem for me. 🥹❤️
After almost 20 years of being somebody’s wife, Minnessa was finally rediscovering HERSELF—what she wanted, what felt good to her, and what she deserved.
Bishop didn’t make her worthy… he reminded her that she already was. 😌
And baby, don’t get it twisted—the chemistry was still CHEMISTRY-INGGGG. 😂🌶️🌶️
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 — A GOOD SHORT TIME!
Quick. Grown. Sexy. Satisfying. Thee Tasha Marie got in, handled business and GOT OUT! 😂👏🏾
I ASKED: You’re newly divorced after almost 20 years, celebrating with your girls, and your private chef looks like BISHOP… 👀😮💨 Are you behaving yourself… or ARE YOU THE CHEF’S SPECIAL?! 😂🌶️👨🏾🍳 🎧 Vibe Song: On It — Jazmine Sullivan ft. Ari Lennox Because OBVIOUSLY. 😭😂😮💨
Minnesa's ex-husband did her a favor by leaving the marriage without a fight. It forced her to actually see that it was time for her to end it.
The celebration weekend turned out to be the best weekend of her life, and the meal prepared by the private chef she hired came with a lot more goodies she wasn't prepared for, but was willing to receive.
Baby this book was spicy, sensual, sexy and full of pleasing energy. Bishop served everything well with all the flavor and seasonings. He left Minnesa completely satisfied with his services. The fun, flirting, set expectations, exciting scenes, and guarantee promise to return with whatever needed whenever was enough to leave you fulfilled with this good story about freedom, honesty, and liberation. Thee Tasha Marie never disappoints. 10/10
Short, spicy, and straight to the point! Okaaaaaayyyyy, Minnesa got her groove BACK! Sis was truly channeling her inner Stella because Chef Bishop came to cater the divorce party and apparently decided to provide some additional services too.
Let’s just say dinner wasn’t the only thing on the menu. When that man asked, “You need anything before I dip? Food? A wheelchair? BABYYYYYY a time was surely had! Chef Bishop definitely understood the assignment.

Thee Tasha Marie writes novellas really well and Chef's Special is a great example of that. She keeps you entertained and engaged from beginning to end without leaving you wanting more or wishing the story was longer. Chef's Special is just what you're looking for in an erotic novella -- spicy, engaging, imaginative, lighthearted, and fun to read. I finished in one setting and couldn't believe when the story was done because I was so invested in the story. Highly recommend.
This was good!! But her and Bishop was playing with fire!!! The way they were moving lead to them feeling exactly how they were feeling at the end of the book. There’s room for a second book in my opinion. They could have a good friendship butttt there is also room for more. The last chapter definitely let room for that to be a thing. Even with the subject about kids. But I digress. Good read
I know every time THEE Tasha Marie drop a book it's going to be an immediate 5 star for me! This story did so much in 75 pages! The SPICE! The ANTICIPATION! The WORDS OF AFFIRMATION! Just Beautiful. While I would love another book with them, I am satisfied with what we got. ❤️
Bishop Bishop Bishop... he really went all the way out when it came to Mimi. Mimi definitely deserved getting that back blown out from giving herself a divorce party after divorcing that no good husband of hers. I hope Bishop will be able to open his restaurant and I hope he and Mimi can see one another again.
I thoroughly enjoyed this read! 🔥 The spice was EVERYTHING, but what really did it for me was the way Bishop worshipped Minnesa. 🥵❤️ Their chemistry was undeniable, and I loved watching their connection unfold. This book definitely gave me everything I was looking for!
Just give me a bishop atp mane when I say the level of spice in this book is unmatched I thought Knuck was something But BISHOP just let him come alive for me for 24hs I’ll give him back idk maybe possibly. But whew I loved it down keep it coming only thing I know is spicy 🥵 novella but this MAN HERE TAKES THE CAKE !!!!!
I LOVED everything about Bishop and Minnesa. Their chemistry was unmatched and even the age differences didn't stop a thing. I'm glad Minnesa let her hair down and enjoyed her weekend as a new women after being in a marriage that didn't serve her no good. Hopefully she book her a private chef again because Bishop was one of a kind.
Minessa got her grove back as she should. This story was exactly what it needed to be not deep plot just fun carefree and full of fun and sometimes that’s needed in books and real life. The hidden message that ain’t so hidden….Take Care Of You! There is nothing wrong with putting you first!!!!
I have never wanted to be someone in my life. But Minnesa, the way my girl was getting handled. Hm! Anyway, this was a really good read. I love that it had a really good story line and not just hunching. Everything flowed so perfectly!
I’m giving it five shooting stars for the story line and the spice 🤭
I loveddd this book but I love all of Tasha Marie books . Bishop was a time I tell ya lol but I’m happy how much life he spoke into Minessa she definitely needed that
Minnesa definitely got Chef Bishop’s special dish! He knew how to cook up some things. He has BDE and could back it up. One of her best eaters!!! I’m glad the girls left the party when they did lol. Enjoyed this quick read!
Thee Tasha Marie you did this honey. It was everything. I hope it's a party 2 in the future. You always deliver the spice we need and then some. Thanks for keeping us up on the best short reads ever.
I’m gonna always say this but my girl is the queen of novelas. If you’re looking for a short, quick, nasty ahh read then she is your go to ! Tasha never misses with her stories.
Another great read, Miss Tasha Marie does it again! Every now and then, this is all you need, a reminder that you are indeed, that girl no matter what life has thrown your way!!!
3.5 Minnesa was choosing herself and getting her groove back with a divorce party. Liked the support and encouragement she received from her friends. Bishop was serving more than food. Would like to see if anything happens them in the future.
Tasha Marie, gworl! As a divorcee, this gave me hope! This erotica little tale is a reminder that people are grown and grown folks can have fun! No strings attached 🙂↔️
This short read gave me everything I needed😩🤌🏾🤎 Minni booked a chef and got full off more than just the food🙃🙌🏾 I don't want to be a spoiler, so chile turn them pages and get your life real quick😩🤌🏾🤎 I need the Chef Bishop Special😏📚🤎🥂
Thee Tashs Marie NEVER fails me. I loved everything about this book. I know, I know.... It's supposed to end this way but I would LOVE a part 2 with Bishop and Minessa. You know.. Sort of like you did for Surrender to Me. 😉 Bravo again, Tasha!
Chefs Special was everything and MORE!!!!! I love a nasty man😂🙌🏽 Short, sweet, spicy and everything in between, I don’t mind seeing these two characters again in the future but for now this book was EVERYYYYYYTHING!
