"I don't do romance, especially with men like you."
Logan Hudson is putting his life savings on the line to stop a greedy real estate developer from destroying former park land. A chance encounter in a bar with billionaire Hunter, who turns out to be interested in blocking the same developer because he owns the adjacent property, leaves Logan fuming. The man's sensual and gorgeous, but boy, is he cocky. Environmental activist Logan won't throw out his beliefs for romance alone. He's willing to submit to Hunter for a night at a time, especially to buy his dream property off him, but he won't give him his heart.
Billionaire Hunter Kenning is head over heels for Logan. He's never spent much time around this kind of man before. Logan is headstrong, resists his charms, and damn smart... not to mention easy on the eyes. He lets Logan talk him into a no-strings-attached arrangement, though he'd rather have him over his knee and in his heart... but they both soon realize that the strings were there all along. They're being played for someone else's amusement.
The thwarted developer, Hunter's ex-boyfriend, is trying to prove that he's not submissive anymore; and if his plan hurts Hunter along the way, so much the better. Meanwhile, down the hill from Hunter's lavish mansion, Logan builds his rustic cob home and Hunter begins to help. This alone is enough to bring the men closer than ever as each man struggles to admit that he fell for the utterly wrong, yet utterly right man for him.
This is a steamy, completely standalone gay romance novel with a HEA ending and no cliffhanger.
E. Davies writes feel-good, low-angst romance that never fades to black when the going gets good! Born in Canada, after 16 moves and counting, Ed has finally put down roots in north London.
He emerges from his writing nest to coo over fuzzy animals, flee from cute guys, dance through the streets with his chosen family, put together fierce looks, and—most of all—befriend local flowers.

This was an interesting story. It really put two people at opposite ends of the spectrum together. I enjoyed the book and the concept, however I personally had trouble connecting with the characters in this one. Logan is our save your earth man, but doesn't seem to usually have too much opposition and Hunter is one of the local billionaires, but has always had everything come to him easily. They begin a non-relationship and develop feelings for each other. I have trouble seeing how their relationship will continue.
E. Davies writes characters that you hate to love, and it works. This latest story talks about how opposites attract and you can find love even if you don't agree with your partner. I'm hoping that we'll see more of these characters, as I think these two are my new favorites. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who's a fan of E. Davies, but also MM romance, enemies to lovers, and HEA stories.
Read for honest review. The book proves that people usually go after people that are completely opposite of themselves. And sometimes find them coming out being better for it. I love Hunter and Logan. Charlie can suck my big toe. Lol

Environmentalist, Logan Hudson, isn't above doing anything (I do mean anything) to get his way when it comes to protecting the environment. To prevent a developer from destroying the land in a park he puts his whole lifesaving in a bid to obtain the land for his own use. But on a night out on the town with a buddy he meets millionaire, Hunter Kenning. The sparks fly but Logan is pretty sure things won't work out with their ideals/beliefs being so different. Things get a bit more complicated when Logan finds out Hunter is the other bidder for the plot of land he's trying to save. Knowing he can't lose the bid, Hunter propositions Logan with a special deal.
I found the story entertaining albeit a bit slow in development. I liked the flirtatious banter Hunter and Logan, that they found they had some things in common while still being so different. Logan's mother Catherine was a complete gem and I wish readers could have seen a bit more of her. I liked that Hunter had such a smooth coming out to his parents even if he was pushed into coming out because of Charles actions. I have to admit the last three pages had me squirming a bit because both Hunter and Logan declare their love for each other. I though it was way too soon for that seeing as they only been seeing each other for three weeks with intervals where Hunter was away on business or Logan was trying to avoid him. Also the whole getting rid of protection without actually getting tested and having that paperwork was scary to think about.
I really think an epilogue was needed just to complete the story. It was kind of left open-ended. Readers don't know if Logan moved in with Hunter or if he completed him home in peace with the approval of the committee. We don't know if Charles ended up making good on his threat, etc.
On another note. The blurb for the book referenced Hunter as a billionaire but in the book he is referred as a millionaire many times. His stepfather is referenced as the billionaire though.
I received a free ARC copy of the book in exchange for an honest review. I loved this book, it was so easy to read, time just flew past without me noticing. The MCs are Hunter, a billionaire, living on the edge of land wanted for development and Logan, the environmentalist who wants to make the same land into a community garden, for others to enjoy. The two men meet, finding that they have both bid against the developer, to prevent the houses being built, but they want different things from the land. Initially finding their mutual interest in stopping the developer - who also happens to be Hunter's ex - the two begin to share more and more time, conversation and to exchange views. The developing relationship is beautifully written, the misunderstandings which happened at the start of any relationship, so easy to believe and both characters are likeable and felt real in their concerns, values and ethics. A lovely story, and probably my favourite written by E Davies.
I received this book as an ARC from E.Davies for an honest review. Logan Hudson is an Environmental Activist. He does anything and there are no limits just to protect the environment. He puts his whole life savings on a bid proposal on property he wishes to build his own green dream home. Logan decided to go out with one of his friends and there he meets Hunter Keening millionaire and completely opposite of Logan. Chemistry is high but can Logan get over their different views on things environmental? It gets a little complicated when Logan finds out that Hunter is the other bidder that Logan placed his whole life savings on. Hunter knows he won't lose the bid so he has a proposition for Logan. Will Logan take the proposal? Will Hunter and Logan work out their differences? Read and find out for yourself!
This was a sweet romance story, however the ending wasn't complete. I guess their should of been an epilogue to accompany this story. After all the house wasn't even built and friends and most of the family was left out of the end. Did he move in with his man? Did he move into the house he was building? Did the developers approve the final papers? Did Charlie get his way and build condos? Just saying.
I am becoming a huge fan. This was another great read. It did need a good beta read though. Found a few errors (wrong names used or perspective ... not sure) the beta reader in me had to pause a bit. But was able to get back into the story rather quickly.
Written as a multi pov. Great storyline, awesome characters, easy to follow dialogue.
I really loved this book, it was a great read and the story line kept me interested. The characters were well developed and the flow of the story was seamless. It is a testament to the old sayings opposites attract & love conquers all.
I got this in exchange of an honest review, it was a pleasure to read nice charming I liked the chemistry action and surprises between the main characters and this one is very exciting start reading it now
Maybe it's just not my taste. I'm a big Davies fan but this one seems contrived. I got through Chapter 3 before I couldn't take any more. The characters have no depth. The whole thing seems very predictable.
