I've read many New Adult novels and Adult and erotica,so sex scenes are not new for me and I encountered different types of scenes and expressions and a ton of words and figures of speech to describe sex in the best ways that turn you on and in the worst ways that you feel like you watch something clinical or a disection. But until now never, NEVER I read a sex scene that makes me laugh, because it's so crazy written and the expressions are so creative. But not in a good way!

The thing I like the least is saying I didn't completely enjoy a book, but not every read is for everyone.
The story has cheating which is kind of a hard limit for me, I don't enjoy seeing the mistrust of a relationship or the way someone can so easily abuse trust.
My opinion on the story is solely on that one element which made me not enjoy it as much as I'd like to have.
The characters were well written and developed in this novella. I loved the side characters, Antonia is a sweetheart and the erotic elements of the story were well written to make it an easy read.
If you don't mind cheating, a bit of erotica and a quick short read to fall in love with a drummer, pick it up as this might be for you!

Holy Hot Book Boyfriend!!!!!!
I think I got pregnant reading this book, I swear I was so hot and bothered reading this I needed a smoke and a glass of wine.
Ryan is the book boyfriend that kept me engaged and intrigued from the moment the story started. Melinda is a woman who needed Ryan in her life and the spice he had to offer.
He is the exception to every rule a woman makes and this story was fantastic!!!! Gisell, took this story to a place I wasn't expecting and I loved every single moment of it.
The author has shown her talent and writing abilities. I have read all of this authors work and I can't wait to see what she does next.

This novella is a nice, quick read. Brandon and Melinda both have other commitments, but the pull between them is undeniable. They get down in some dirt and sexy ways. He sure knows how to get her to submit to him and she learns that maybe that's what she is made for. She craves him. I really hope Gisel finishes their story!!

Great read...Was not expecting the hot drummer boy to become this sex god dominant as for melinda I think ryan was and is exactly what she needed and wants.. Sometimes what you think is bad for you might be greatest thing that can happen.

Gisell has given me the pleasure of reading everything she’s working on. I was especially honored to read Shiraz before it was published. I had a feeling this was going to be my favorite out of Gisell’s novellas and I was right.
There’s just something different about Shiraz. Gisell’s writing is strong and addicting and I don’t know how to put it into words but Shiraz stands out from Conflict of Interest 1 & 2. It just demands a presence. I loved every minute of it.
Shiraz is told dual point of views but we mostly get Melinda’s point of view. I didn’t mind that so much because I felt like the story was more about her and her life versus Ryan.
The story was sexy, raw and everything that keeps you begging for more and has you wishing you could go out and find your own Ryan. Not even kidding.
I wouldn’t say this ends in cliffhanger because it really isn’t a cliffhanger per say. It’s just a really different ending one I freaking loved and I explained my thoughts to Gisell about it. I loved how she ended, I’ve never read a book that ends like that and IT WAS AN AMAZING ENDING. I need people to talk to about this besides Gisell.
I liked Evan Daniels from Gisell’s Conflict of Interest but after reading Shiraz I’m left saying “Evan who?” because I loved Ryan so much more! In my own personal opinion Ryan is a lot better than Evan. He’s someone you need to spend a couple hours with. I don’t think you’d regret it.

This story is fast paced and easy to read. This is the first book I’ve read from the author.
I felt that Melinda’s character was relatable in the way she was questioning whether she should take that next step with her boyfriend, Brandon of two years or move on. At this crossroads is when she falls upon Ryan.
"I've bared more of me to you than I have to anyone else in my life. How does that happen?"
As for Ryan, he was dominant but not overwhelming so. He just knew what he wanted.
"When someone like me craves someone like you, we don't even need to speak to display it. I knew exactly what you wanted the moment you tripped over your own feet asking me where the toilet was at last night's show. I saw right through you, and I'm happy I could do this for you."
Unfortunately the female lead, Melinda is in a relationship at the time she meets Ryan, which is the one thing I’d like to point out that I’m not a big fan of is the cheating. The sexual scenes in this novella were so descriptively hot...so hot it bordered on pornographic.
The ending is different and I really liked how she played it out. So, I’d say this is an enjoyable read. Shiraz by Gisell DeJesus will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-SUPERIOR.

I’ve read other works by this author but in this she branched off in a different direction and I have to say that it worked – boy did it!
The story was clever and quick, well it was after the first chapter or two – it took a little bit to get going but once it hit its stride there was no holding it back.
The story is told from dual points of view and I have to say that this is something that I actually quite like.
I like to know what is going on in their heads, I want to hear what they have to say not have someone say it for them, so this made for a more enjoyable dynamic in my opinion.
Melinda was the predominant narrator and I have to say that wasn’t really a surprise as she generally had more to say on life than Ryan did.
And that brings me to Ryan, I thought he was a strong character, one that I could engage with, heck who am I trying to kid, he was awesome.
Over all the story was held my attention, captured my imagination and raised my temperature – what more could I have asked for??
Oh, yes that’s right- the perfect ending – guess what? Got that too!!!

We have Rock band, Broken Griffen's Drummer Ryan, approaching middle age and getting fed up with his meaningless one night stands with fan girls.
Melinda is a workaholic, spending mostly all her time at the hospital as a nurse. She is in a relationship with Brandon that lacks almost everything!
Now bring in Antonio, Melinda's very funny Spanish gay friend who just happens to have tickets to see Broken Griffen.
Melinda and Ryan share a connection and over the course of a few nights unleash the fantasies that Melinda keeps hidden.
The ending shocked me, I loved it, it isn't your typical HEA, it's not a cliffy, it's OPEN and I know which way I want it to go! It's the kind of ending that make you think about a book hours/days after you have finished!

This is my second Giselle book.
I really liked this book.
The only thing I was really a fan of was the fact that they were cheating but I understand why they did it. Sometimes you just know when something isn't right even though how much you want it to be.
Ryan and Melinda had a fantastic connection.
I really love rock star romances and this was not your average one. Which I loved. Most of the time when I read certain books it's just the same thing just a different way written. Not this one..
The way Ryan and Melinda just clicked was great.
The way he brought her home that first night.. then the hotel scenes... HOT!
I was not expecting Ryan's other life at all either.
I feel for their significant others but sometimes you just click with someone.
The way it ended left me wanting more...

Very dope story line and great concept. I loved the prologue and the end. i love the way it ended. (I did expect that ending). I like when writers go outside of the generic resolution so to speak.
What I didn't like so much was the slow pace of the beginning. I guess because I read the blurb I expected this story to be a wham bam thank you man and it kind of wasn't. (For some this might be exactly what the doctor ordered. I was just very anxious to get to the sex part in this book, which is an oddity for me as I tend to skim over sex scenes for the most part. With this book I was trying to fast forward to them lol)
I think this author as amazing potential and can not wait to see her growth with each book.

This is the first time reading anything buy this author and without knowing anything about the backstory of the book i dived right in. I loved Melinda, she reminds me of someone I know and I love that she is so relatable, like we could be friends. And Antonio is hilarious! There should be a book about him! He was the comic relief when things got serious. I had a little trouble connecting with Ryan I felt he Jerked Melinda around, so high five for Gisell for making me hate him, even if that wasn't the plan. Great sex scenes, like great! the only problem i would say is there were a few grammar and editing mistakes that take away from the story while reading it. I really enjoyed the twist at the end as well, vry original to me at least! Great Job Gisell!

Great take off, crash and burn landing
I saw where this was going, I did. But the poor editing the mixed scenes and the raunchy almost porn sex scenes went down in a fiery heap. I liked the start of it, I like the character of Melinda, she was very likable and human. I didn't like how all of a sudden it just turned Into a 30 page raunchy bad porno and the ending..what the shell?! I usually try and give fair reviews and it pains me to say I'm glad I got this while it was free because I would demand my money back. I think if the author redid the story with a proper editor and solid storyline it would be okay. It just didn't do it for me.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read and the characters and the story line made it more enjoyable. Melinda and Ryan were the perfect couple that wasn't a couple and the time that they had together was more than hot. Although I understood why it ended the way it did I was hoping for something different. I like the fact that I can write my own ending and I hope to see another part to this story so that I can see what happens with the other characters in this and hopefully see more of Melinda and Ryan

I'm honestly not sure how I feel about this novelette. It's a really short read, not a huge plot, but it definitely packs a punch.
Melinda is an overworked nurse living in a stable relationship with her boyfriend. Their relationship is strained, and she's feeling overwhelmed with the future of it, when she goes out for a night on the town to unwind and meets drummer Ryan. One night with Ryan leads into a second, and suddenly Melinda is questioning everything.
Now, there are definite aspects of this story that some readers will not like, and it's hard not to judge both Melinda and Ryan for their actions here. That being said, this story is HOT with some BDSM elements. It's a quick read and it kept me turning the pages. The ending though? I'm still not sure how I feel about, but I give credit to this author for writing an unconventional story that isn't going to give every reader the ending that they want.

Not my typical book that I read but it’s good to step outside of your comfort zone from time to time. Definitely a book with a whole lot of heat which I liked. I don’t mind things getting a little freaky. Ryan is a drummer in a successful rock band and Melinda is an overworked nurse in a relationship that is fizzling out but there is a lot of comfort there. Melinda goes to a concert and gets thrust into a world she is not used to.
I liked that the book ended differently than most “romance” because this isn’t really a romance. I loved the note from the author at the end saying we could make our own decisions how Ryan and Melinda move forward. That was cool and so very real. So although this is not my usual read I enjoyed the steamy scenes. It is very well written. I have to thank the author for the free copy I always like being pushed a little outside my box at times!

I loved the note from the author at the end saying we could make our own decisions how Ryan and Melinda move forward. That was cool and so very real. So although this is not my usual read I enjoyed the steamy scenes. It is very well written. I have to thank the author for the free copy I always like being pushed a little outside my box at times!

This is a novelette and has some bdsm. It’s not a simple story. There are elements to this story that has you passing judgement on both Ryan and Melinda.
They are two ships passing in the night that share a few nights of passion after meeting at a concert. Ryan is a drummer and Melinda is a nurse.
Melinda has things in her life that just don’t line up and her job doesn’t allow time for much. But for Ryan she seems to find the time. Ryan has a life outside of the band and he’s unhappy with it or so he says. He feels an instant connection to Melinda and she feels it also. I loved her friend Antonio. He’s flamboyant and proud of it.

This book was definitely a touch of the norm in the world these days in reference just not being satisfied with life but then BAM Gisell threw in some supa kinky biz to brighten Melindas day or days.. lol
Wow those two and their chemistry was HAWT and who doesn't love a gay bestie? They always brighten the days that feel gloomy.
I really enjoyed reading this HAWT short and look forward to reading more of Gisells work!!!

Shiraz is a kindle melting quick read about turning a fantasy into reality. It is written really well with wonderful characters and the storyline is amazing. Melinda had no idea that meeting sexy drummer, Ryan will change her life. She’s in for an eye opening experience that could possibly change everything.

I just finished this book , it was amazing. I have never read anything from this particular author before so I didn’t really know what to expect, but I was completely surprised! It was an amazing read, I just wish there were more. Please write more .

There's some books that will leave you heartbroken, some happy & some are disappointing but reading Shiraz Left me wanting more, it was an incredible and Amazing read I never expected it to end it like that. Real original and unique ending! Kudos to Gisell!!
Left me in shock with a book hangover. I literally read the last few pages like 5x to make sure did I read right how Gisell ended this great story. Short story well detailed and the sex scene OMG OMG.. Uff you better have company after reading because you gonna need some release yourself loll (evil laugh) ;)*wink*
