He’s a bitter cat-shifter who hates humans. She’s the human he resentfully desires.
Since first meeting, Kenzie Swanson and Sawyer Lennar have shared an undeniable attraction.
But there is one problem that continues to keep them apart.
As a cat-shifter with a traumatic past, Sawyer hates humans—and Kenzie is all human.
Sawyer’s contempt pushes Kenzie away, and they try to maintain their distance from each other—until they are mistakenly kidnapped together and have to fight to escape.
During the struggle, Sawyer is hit on the head. He wakes up not remembering who he is, who Kenzie is, and most importantly, that he hates his attraction to her.
Gifted with a chance at what might have been, Kenzie must decide if she’s willing to give herself over to Sawyer before his memory returns or guard her heart before he hurts her again.
R.L. Kenderson is two best friends writing under one name. They met in college and bonded over their love of reading and the TV show Charmed. They write spicy romance that often makes you laugh.
My favorite so far out of the first 3 books, there's one more left to read after this one. Not for anyone under 18, there's swearing and hot, sometimes rough sex.
Kenzie and Sawyer's story is very sad, yet hot and sexual. Kenzie is human and Sawyer a cat shifter. Sawyer hates humans, Kenzie is in love with Sawyer. They are both attracted to each other, but Sawyer would cut his tongue out before admitting it. Although, they keep ending up in bed together. Kenzie thinks Sawyer hates her, he's so mean to her.
This is an amazing story about love, learning how to grow, letting old wounds heal. Learning how to trust, be truthful and moving on.
There are of course their friends in the book also and they're great friends, whom help Kenzie and Sawyer. They're also still looking for Gerald, the disgusting, treacherous snake. It's not looking good that he'll be found.
Of course I'm just skimming over things, I don't want to give away the story. It's a truly great book, as with all these first three books, the characters are absolutely believable, I love these characters. The writing is smooth without mistakes and I didn't want anyone to both me while I was reading it.
I was lost in the book. Last night, I was sitting here reading and my husband was trying to get my attention, finally he raised his voice, I was annoyed, I said why you talking to me like that? He said I've been trying to get your attention for 10 minutes (I think he exaggerated) but I've been lost unaware of anything around me. It was a decent length book, but I still wish it wasn't over. Another thing I like about these Authors, is they end the books great. They don't leave them open to interpretation, they don't make the end feel rushed. I LOVE that.
I highly recommend this book, you need to read the other books first, but there all worth the read. Excellent books to read, by two talented Authors.
I got this book off booksprout and I reviewed on my own.
☆ I received an ARC via the authors in exchange for an honest review. Thank you!! ☆
Taking place right after its previous two predecessors, Forbidden Temptation follows Sawyer and Kenzie’s story after they are mistaken for Vaughn and Naya and are thus kidnapped.
Now having broken free from their captors, they find themselves on the run, and in for some unforeseen twists and turns that will tilt their worlds upside down.
What with-- Sawyer’s apparent memory loss and his blatant distain for humans temporarily forgotten, what will become of him and Kenzie?
Will he ever accept her, a human, as his mate?
Will Kenzie ever quench a normal life again and find a place within the world of paranormal entities?
And war on the brink, and a whole lot of love and chaos in the midst, will there ever be peace and stability amongst the species?
An exhilarating and page-turning installment that kept me guessing and on my toes with the new and old additions of characters, as well as, new happenings and developments that were instantaneously occurring all at once one after another.
I REALLY can’t wait for Dante and Phoenix’s story, which I think, is probably up next. Then followed by, Zane+ Isabelle’s book, and maybe Saxon and the twins’ (Lennox and Lexine) love stories, even though Lexine’s future looks quite questionable at this point.
Regardless though, super, super excited to see what happens next in this series!! Great job, ladies!!
I think this is my favorite of the series so far. Sawyer and Kinzie have had a volatile relationship so far, and while I do wish that less of their story had been told in previous books, I still enjoyed their story immensely. I think at this point that this is a series that you pretty much have to read from the beginning. These are not stand alone books to me. Case in point: Sawyer is quite the brute and hardass, but we get to see very little of that from him in his own installment. In this book, Sawyer is a completely different animal (see what I did there?!?!) And to be honest, I liked the real Sawyer better.
This story felt like it had more substance than the first two books. Even though we are immersed in the shifter/vampire world, this author duo made Sawyer and Kinzie's romance about much more than politics and world building. It was about two very different people and the meshing of their lives. Sawyer fights his attraction to Kinzie with every single breath left in him. And I loved that Kinzie wasn't a pushover. She didn't beg him. She offered herself but retained her dignity.
One of my favorite parts of the book was when Naya lays into Sawyer. I won't spoil it, but I will say that it was a great moment. And I just bet that a lot of women will think of their besties and get all "girl power". Pretty awesome.
"Sawyer smiled. "Hi mate." Mate? Oh God. Not only had he lost his memory, but he now also thought that he was Australian."
There are moments of funny and moments of stunningly rough sexuality. Nothing too ott for me. Passionate, for sure, and exactly what I'd expect from an alpha cat shifter story. There were some issues I had with believability of some minor plot points...situations that should have had easy fixes but instead were explained away in an odd and incongruous way. Overall, though, I think that this was the most entertaining and fully fleshed out so far in the series. Dante and Phoenix have something special going on, and I'm assuming we get they're story next. I was kind of hoping we could get it finished in this book but it doesn't happen. I think my biggest beef with this series is how we get only bits and pieces of each couple's story throughout each book. By the time we get to their own book, half their story is told and it's difficult to sink back into it. But I keep coming back for more.
'Forbidden Temptation' by R.L. Kenderson is Book Three in the "Forbidden" series. This is the story of Kenzie Swanson and Sawyer Lennar. I have read the previous book and feel this is not really a standalone book. It can be, but to fully enjoy their story you should read the previous books. Sawyer doesn't care for humans but he is having a hard time previously fighting his feelings for Kenzie. But they were kidnapped and this is where this book opens to them escaping and Sawyer being unconscious and drugged. This has left Sawyer without his memory of who he was and this Sawyer is a different acting person than the old one. But he and Kenzie are still on the run from the people that are after them. But can this open Sawyer to let his guard down with Kenzie and maybe get their happy ending. Forbidden:, Book 1: Forbidden Blood, Book 2: Forbidden Blood, Book 3: Forbidden Temptation, Book 4: Forbidden Addiction, "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
I still can't get that scene out of head from book 1 where they are in the bathroom and all that awesomeness happens!!
I've been in quite a reading rut lately, and I honestly didn't read book two so I was pretty confused on some parts and with some characters, I guess I'll need to go back and read book 2.
Really enjoyed reading this book. When I found out it was out, I stayed up all night reading it not caring that I had to be up super early the next day. I devoured this book!
I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Just like the 2 books before, this one was amazing! It was a page turner from start to finish. Fast moving, lots of information, new character development...it had it all!! These ladies have the ability to intertwine story lines so well. I love the fact that each book is based on one couples story, but the plot keeps moving for all the other characters too. I'm so happy book 3 is finally here, but sad it ended. Let's be real....I could have read Kenzie and Sawyer's story for at least 300 more pages. :)
Kenzie and Sawyer...where do I begin?? I was waiting in anticipation for so long....this was my couple!! From the first few chapters in Forbidden Blood, I wanted this story!! I wanted it as bad as I want a housekeeper and a private chef. Seriously!! However, with wanting and waiting for something you tend to build it up in your head. You're counting down the days, but you are also expecting it to be the best. I was nervous with this one. I was scared it wouldn't be everything I needed as the reader. RL Kenderson did not disappoint. It met my expectations. Do I feel it exceeded them?? No. That is just personal opinion. I love angst in stories, the back and forth, the love and hate, the heartache/break. I could have used a little more between them. With that being said, that is the only thing I thought was missing. I realize not everyone likes those specific things in books as much as I do, so I think they did well finding a happy medium.
Throughout the book you start to fall in love (and hate) with other characters. I can't wait for Phoenix and Dante's book, but I am also super excited for a couple other characters yet to come!!
Enjoy everyone!! I hope you are as happy with it as I was.
I received an ARC of this book by the author in return for an honest review.
Kenzie and Sawyer's book is fantastic. I'm telling you with every new book I fall more and more in love with this world! The continued storyline was perfect. Finally finding out what happened after these two were kidnapped was well worth the wait. The story also added just the right amount of information for Phoenix and Dante to have their story.I hope their book is next!! The portions for the other characters just added to the greatness! Truly a great addition to the series!
I love this book. I like how Kenzie and Sawyer escape and how they live with each other for a while. I hate how Sawyer gets injured and loses his memory and how he wakes up thinking that Kenzie is his mate. I like how Kenzie and Sawyer come to love each other and how they become mates.
Forbidden Temptation Review By RL Kenderson. ARC = Advanced Reader Copy WARNING!!! IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE FIRST TWO BOOKS THIS WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS. IT DOES NOT CONTAIN SPOILERS OF THE THIRD BOOK, FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION. Please bear with me and read the whole review. It’s finally here. OH MY GOD. The excitement that flowed through me when I got the email containing this book was unreal. I was actually in a shop getting a few pieces of groceries I had forgotten when I got this email. And I kid you not, I did a jig of happiness right there in the coffee isle. I think people were looking at me and thinking “Yeah like she needs more coffee.” By the way I am not the coffee drinker in my home. Kenzie and Sawyer. I have been waiting for this since they pissed each other off in the first book. I could have sworn on my life these guys were going to be the subject of book two, instead they were kidnapped being mistaken for Vaughan and Naya at the end of the first book and the second continued the ordeal, throwing them in close proximity and increasing the tension between them. They managed to get away and Sawyer, God love him, blacks out. I have been biting my nails in anticipation in of these two getting their shit together. And I cannot wait to see what turmoil RL Kenderson puts them through. So my ARC arrived and I was positively quaking with excitement. I loaded it onto my Kindle and waited until himself went to work and made myself a pot of coffee. I put on some music and with my puppy curled up asleep on my lap I opened my Kindle and settled in to read. The book picks up where Forbidden Heat left off and they got to where Kenzie had planned and then at the end of Chapter 1, and I thought “What the hell?” I was expecting fighting and anger, angst and torment and Sawyer is being NICE!!! I was so shocked I had to read Chapter 1 again just to make sure I hadn’t gotten caught in a weird time shift and actually read the Epilogue or something.
I have to admit I was somewhat disconcerted by this but thought, “Calm down darling, give it a chance. So I strapped on my big girl pants and continued to read.
I thought for all her guff in the first two books, Kenzie lacked a lot of confidence. That I think was more down to her father given what I read.
Sawyer was a little like a teenage guy full of angst. He was so sweet then hello to the Sawyer we loved to hate and hated to love.
I found I couldn’t stop reading it. Almost as soon as I finished I wanted to read book four. I’m guessing that I am going to have to wait 6-12 months for that easily. As always these ladies did not disappoint. Their writing style flows like water. As shocked as I was at the start of the novel I could not put it down. I was hated even putting the book down to go to the bathroom and let puppy out when he needed to go. I was almost afraid if I put it down it would run away or something would happen and I would miss it. That may seem strange but that the way these ladies can make you think with their writing. They pull you into a world so colourful and rich that you can almost reach out and touch the charcters.
I adored this book and I have already read it twice. I read it the second time so quickly was because I was afraid I didn’t give it the open-mindedness because I was so shocked at how it started. But that is the beauty of the book. Fans of RL Kenderson will be expecting what I was, all I can say is forget your expectations and settle in and enjoy the amazing ride these ladies are about to bring Kenzie, Sawyer and the rest of us on.
If you are a fan of these ladies, you have got to read this book. If you haven’t read any of this series, you need to start. I cannot say enough how good these ladies are and how much I love their books. Another five star read!
Okay... Can we talk about this rollercoaster? I was not ready to go coasting. Damn! The up's and the downs even the loop-D-loops, I was not ready for. Boy did I cry, thank you ladies once again for not disappointing me.
So, we know from the previous book that Sawyer and Kenzie have escaped their captors. But, unfortunately due to Sawyer being out of commission so to speak (I don't wanna spoil this for anyone) they fail to get back to their lives. Everything is not as it seems or is it exactly the way its supposed to be? There is a lot that the two need to work on as individuals but also as a pair.
Here we get to see the real Sawyer, the one Kenzie yearns for. The Sawyer he hides. Will they get their happily ever after or does everything go down the drain when reality kicks in?
Don't forget, we are still following Phoenix and Dante's story as well. And they sure do have surprises for us.
Omg. My heart hurt in some parts of this book. Each character was trying to be so strong and only destroying them selves by doin so. This is a wonderful series, each book just pulls you in so you want more and more. I love the previous players in this series are still strong influences in each book. Great job and constant page turner. This book was given to me for an honest review.
I fell in love with this series with book one and was very pleasantly surprised that book 3 was just as good.
These books in this series is unique in that it doesn’t focus 100% on only one couple at a time. There are views into the heads and relationships of support characters. By the time the book is over I want to know the rest of the other couple’s story.
In this one we continue with the story of the best friend of the heroine of the first book and the best friend of the hero of the first book. I have to say, this was definitely a tear jerker. It was written in such a way as having me hate and sympathize with the hero of this book allay the same time. The characters were not perfect, far from it. Their relationship was volatile and toxic and at times I thought maybe they’d be better off apart for good. Luckily this is a romantic fictional story so it worked out beautifully. I am so glad I got to go on this journey with this couple
Like the others, it is well written and made me laugh and cry. This author knows how to make a reader “feel”
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
My star rating for FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION is 4 1/2 stars of 5! <3
My ‘Blogging Reader’s Review’ after reading an ARC Copy of ‘FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION’ (via: BooksMoviesFandoms.wordpress.com):
*May contain Spoilers if you haven’t read the previous novels of the Forbidden series yet.*
This review is based on the third novel of the Forbidden Series titled: Forbidden Temptation by R. L. Kenderson. This series is one of my favorites and I was very excited to be able to read and share my honest review for. This novel continues the storyline that follows an entertaining assortment of characters that I absolutely either find interesting or enticing or a mixture of both. Readers will get a story that flows smoothly, even though each book focuses on a few possible character couples and relationships. As I’ve said in the past about this series, it’s hard to give a truly fulfilling description of this story and the characters without giving away a few spoilers but I’ll try not to ruin anything for you. The story contains humans, vampires and two types of “shifters”.
For those like me who enjoy multiple P.O.V.’s(point of views) in a story, this one continues with multiple views. In fact, there are six P.O.V.’s from: Kenzie Swanson(Human-Best friend to Naya), Sentinel Shifter Sawyer Lennar(Shifter-Best friend to Vaughn), Sentinel Shifter Phoenix Kaplan, Guardian Dante Leonidas(Vampire), Sentinel Shifter Saxon Einar(Shifter), and Guardian Lexine Harlow(Vampire).
A couple of situations went bad at the end of the second novel in this series. People were shot, a couple of people were kidnapped and the enemy fled before capture. Now that things are more or less calmer, everyone is hunting the enemy, Gerald. He’s a ‘Shifter’ who has betrayed his own kind for power and to get the woman that belongs to another. While all of that was going on, Kenzie and Sawyer were kidnapped after being mistaken for their best friends who are both the children of vampire royalty and a ‘Shifter’ leader. Will Kenzie and Sawyer be able to escape or will they be caught before they can get away? To add to the stress of the situation, Sawyer suffers from amnesia due to a head injury and being drugged by the kidnappers, leaving Kenzie to try and keep them safe. What will happen with these two when Sawyer can’t remember his dislike for humans and for Kenzie, and instead, seems to be drawn to her. You’ll find out in this novel.
The ‘Shifter’ enemy Gerald who isn’t afraid to bring harm to anyone, even his own extended family members, is on the run. An unusual union between the two kinds of ‘Shifters’ and the Vampires has occurred do to their mutual enemy and the need to track him down. When he kidnapped Shifter Phoenix, she is worried that he will do things that will destroy her inside because of the secrets of her past that have made her so fragile inside. She’s been a strong women since then but being the control of an aggressive and evil person leaves her hoping that her fellow Sentinels will find them before he truly harms her. All she can think about to calm her nerves is Dante. He’s a Vampire Guardian but there is some kind of strong attraction that keeps him on her mind. He makes her feel safe, which is something she hasn’t felt in so long with anyone else. Biggest issues is will they find her in time?
Another Vampire Guardian named Lexine Harlow has been carrying a long-time crush on fellow Guardian Dante but since the Shifter Phoenix has been around, she feels jealous. She wants Dante to notice her and forget about the Shifter but it’s not always so easy to get your way. She makes a few new friends but something about this group of new friends seems a little questionable. When you read this novel, you may get that same feeling. Something tells me we haven’t read the last of Lexine or who new group of friends who aren’t very happy with the new intermingling between Shifters and Vampires.
This series continues to be so different and entertaining with the many interesting facets in this story that it never gets boring. There are so many amazing characters and their compelling story-lines. You get an intriguing amount of steamy scenes, with a sci-fi feel but not at all in a bad or overplayed way. This story is so riveting and absolutely entertaining because of the sexy moments, romantic bonds, and the non-stop suspense. The characters continue to keep me engaged into their individual story lines which readers may actually love. If you’re read the previous novels in this series then I have to say you won’t be disappointed to finally read “Kenzie and Sawyer’s” story! This story is full of strong female characters and sexy Alpha-males. I highly recommend this novel and this series! <3
My star rating for FORBIDDEN TEMPTATION is: 4 1/2 out of 5 stars! :)
This is not a stand alone book, you need to read the first 2 books to have an understanding of what is happening in the this book! Forbidden Temptation is the 3 book in the Forbidden series by R.L. Kenderson. This is a multi person POV book. Temptation focuses on Sawyer and Kenzie, with the developing story of Dante and Phoenix.
The back and forth between Sawyer and Kenzie is like an Olympic ping Pong match! Exciting to watch and not knowing who is going to come out on to! My favorite scene is where Sawyer gets an earful (I won't give more details as not to give it away!) If you have not read this series yet you absolutely need too!
Forbidden temptation by rl kenderson. Since one fateful evening at a nightclub, Kenzie Swanson and Sawyer Lennar have shared an undeniable attraction. They’ve had moments where they couldn’t ignore their desires, succumbing to their needs, and Sawyer has marked Kenzie in a way that no other man can. A really enjoyable read with great characters. Really enjoying this series. Loved how sawyer and kenzie were with each other. I really enjoyed this book. I loved the characters. Love this series and I'm looking forward to next one. 5*.
Boy, was this a rollarcoaster! Not to mention the drama. I loved this book.
It really takes Sawyer a while to come to terms with his past, but with the help of others. The rollarcoaster they get put through is really something.
I love how Sawyer and Kenzie’s story played out.
Also, side note, can I just say that I hate Lexine!
I loved to hate Sawyer. I loved his appearance in the first book, and I'm so glad that I got the background in this book. Sawyer really knows how to define a jerk, along with some other words, but I won't say that here. I couldn't wait to see how Sawyer and Kenzie's story played out, I was not let down. I loved the depth that these two developed in the series and was so happy with this story.
Kenzie finally gets her man. Swayer finally see what his life would be like with a mate but he rejects that once his memory returns. Yet once he learns Kenzie is leaving the area, he changes his way and learned how to not blame every human for one family's mistake.
This one was my favorite. I think I actually cried (and I NEVER cry)!!! If I could give this novel more than 5 stars, I would. I love Kenzie and Sawyer's story the best, I think. It's the most real, heart-felt, emotional, and trail-blazing one yet. I think theirs is one for the Supernatural history books.
**I voluntarily read a review copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else's*
Wow I was left completely blown away by Forbidden Temptation; it was intense from beginning to end.
Referring to Sawyer as a jerk would be an understatement. I felt like smacking him half the time for his awful behaviour. However, when sweet, caring Sawyer makes an appearance - yep I was definitely a gonna lol. Sweet Sawyer was everything I wanted him to be; sexy, hot, yet possessive. The author captured the depth and intensity of Sawyer's character perfectly - it was great trying to decide whether to love or hate him throughout.
My heart literally broke for Kenzie - nasty Sawyer broke her down in stages with his behaviour. At one point, I actually had tears in my eyes - I was starting to think Sawyer would never get his act together. I felt like hugging her and kneeing him in his jewels every time he went into jerk mode. Pregnant Naya was scary especially, when she came in fuming and all her anger was directed at Sawyer - yep don't mess with the angry pregnant vampire lol.
I enjoyed Dante and Phoenix's interactions. A lot happens in this book between these two and I'm hoping their own story will be just as explosive as all the other couples.
This was a fantastic read - it was fast paced with lots of action, suspense and heat. The author has a distinctive writing style and I like how she introduces and integrates the couples in the story whilst primarily focusing on the primary couple. Everything flows smoothly - the author has truly outdone herself. I've read so many books where authors have too many characters which ultimately compromises character development. However, this is the first book I've read which has a nice balance. I was hooked from beginning to end; there was lots going on so there was never a dull or boring moment. I absolutely love this series; it's seriously addictive which explains why I devoured all three books within 24hrs.
*This Book Was Given To Me By The Author But That In No Way Influenced The Opinions Below*
This is the third book I have read by author R L Kenderson and it picks up right where the second one left off and like with the first two the focus shifts more to different characters.
With this book I felt more than with the previous two that reading earlier installments was a good thing. Although the main focus is on different characters, there is a lot of backstory, and previous characters, that come in to play so much that I think trying to read it is as stand alone would be a mistake.
That being said I had read the previous 2 books thus had no issues with the storyline.
Again the writing is good, and the world building consistent and very well crafted. That being said there is something that isn't quite clicking over to that 5 star level for me. Sometimes I get taken out of the story just for a bit, or the pacing is just a touch off, but it is enough to just dock it down by a star.
I do feel that fans of the paranormal romance genre will enjoy these, especially if they like shifters, and things more than a little on the sexy side!
Another 4 stars from me.

Forbidden Temptation is the 3rd book in the Forbidden series by R.L. Kenderson and it follows on the 2nd book of the Forbidden Series. It takes place after Sawyer & Kenzie are kidnapped and they escape from their Captors.
Book 3 is Sawyer & Kenzie’s story. They face some up’s and down’s. In some parts of the book it feels like you want to get into the book and slap some sense into Sawyer but he eventually opens his eyes and sees what has been in front of him the whole time and Kenzie can’t stop herself from falling head over heels in love with him even if she tries to contain herself. There are also some hints about book 4 at the end. This is an amazing Series. I fell in love with the 1st book and couldn’t stop reading. Not once have I felt disappointed in one of the Forbidden books that I have read. These authors know how to impress and hook someone to their books (I mean who doesn’t want some Alpha love ;) ) I can’t wait to Start reading the 4th book.
If you want a Series of books that will keep you on the edge of your seat and wanting more R.L Kenderson’s books are for you without a doubt!
Things are still very chaotic. Sawyer and Kenzie have escaped their captors and she;s driving the vehicle she stole off the kidnappers while Sawyer is knocked out. She has no idea where she is until she comes across a sign at the first town . It;s where her brother lives and she heads directly there. She and Sawyer are in her brother;s house when she discovers that Sawyer has amnesia from the hard knock to his head. For the next few days they live an perfect life of a mated couple until her brother returns. They finally arrive home and she finds she;s been fired. Unfortunately things go back to the way it was before amnesia Sawyer became grumpy Sawyer again. Unfortunately Sawyer;s past still hangs over him and he pushes Kenzie away through his action until she breaks. That;s when Naya steps in and live gets much more complicated. Fantastic story.. There are several other story lines that weave in and out that will hold your attention just as much as the one between Kenzie and Sawyer.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I really just wanted to beat the stubborness out of Sawyer and smack some sense into him. Just when you think he will finally give in, he turns into a jerk. And poor poor Kenzie....my heart just kept breaking for her. I was almost in tears and beyond frustrated on her behalf. Even though it took him way too long to figure things out, I'm glad Sawyer did, and what happened to his parents was absolutely horrible. Although even when he finally went to Kenzie to talk things out, I was still 50/50 on whether he was going to move on from his past. But once they got HEA they were too cute, and was beyond thrilled by their news. In this book you also get more of a glimpse into Phoenix and Dante's "friendship" and I am beyond excited and comepletely anxious to see how their relationship develops. They have me completely intrigued, especially with the new villain in play. So didn't see that coming.
I think this is my favorite so far. I mean I really wanted to kill Sawyer like A LOT but when we got the Sawyer but not Sawyer I saw the sweet potential he could really be. Kenzie my heart broke for her every time he hurt her. He really did some horrible things to her. He overstepped the line that last time they were together. In his defense his cat was in control there and helloooo jealousy and Kenzie really did put it to him with making him jealous. Naya was the one who FINALLY got pissed enough on Kenzie's behalf to confront Sawyer and really put him in his place at how wrong he was. Man she was pissed! Love her Phoenix and Dante....sigh...I cant wait to read them. I kinda feel bad for Dante because one of his guardians has betrayed him. Not saying who. Its actually really petty if you think about it the reasoning. Interesting new characters and cant wait to read more. Enjoyed it. Well deserved 5 star. .
Another great novel in this series. I thoroughly enjoy every single character in these books - except, of course, the bad guys :-) Kenzie & Sawyer's relationship was tumultuous to say the least, but in the end I'm happy with the results. I can't wait to see what happens next for the Pride. I really enjoy how the authors weave the suspense in with the romantic aspect of the series, therefore making it so neither is overwhelming. To be honest there were times where I wanted to ring Sawyer's next, but the authors wrote in such a way that I was feeling the same things he was, so it wasn't as annoying as it could have been.
I highly recommend this book, and the rest in the series, to everyone who enjoys a good suspenseful, paranormal romance.
*I received an ARC for free in exchange for an honest review.*
This series just keeps getting better with each book. The authors know just how to write their characters. You can really feel the emotions of the characters. This is Kenzie and Sawyers book and the wait did not disappoint. It was amazing. You start right off from where they escaped in book 2. I dont really like giving alot of details about the story in a review because you need to read it. There is also more details about Pheonix and Dante, whose book i really hope is next. There is a continuous storyline throughout the 3 books as well as sex scenes. Just putting that out there if its not your thing. It does end in a cliffhanger but its the end of one evil plot and the start of what seems to be a new evil plot. Cant wait to see where it all goes. Amazing book you should definitely read it.
This book was good but not what I was expecting. It is most definitely worth reading when it comes out on the 18th August. It's well written and has its usual mingled plot of characters to keep you wanting more.... Already can't wait for the next book obviously. But... I was hoping for a fiery love hate relationship and I don't think it was quite there. I know we have already seen this from the previous books but I was expecting more (kind of like the neighbours from hell series by Mathewson). I still give this book 5* and it is a good story but I have to admit I'm a tiny bit disappointed. Please don't let me put you off this book as it was not my intention I just think it would be better to go into it with an open mind... No expectations.
I have loved all three books in the series and still want more. I just loved Sawyer and Kenzie and can't wait for the next installment which I think may be Dante and Pheonix. They both featured in this book also.
I have to say Sawyer really needed a kick up the butt to see what was right in front of him. I know he had a trauma in his childhood which affected him. But he needed to realise that not all humans are bad and that he was in love with Kenzie as she was with him.
Thank you RL Kenderson for giving me the opportunity to read an advanced copy of the book.
