EXCLUSIVE! Which movie star is moving on with her ex’s BFF?

Hollywood A-lister Felicity Chambers has managed to walk away with her cheating husband’s share of their production company in their highly publicized divorce, sources close to the situation tell us. Even more scandalous? Their business partner, Alex Graham, knew nothing about it until the papers were signed, sealed, and delivered. After coming oh-so-close to acquiring the shares he was promised, Alex is not happy about the change in plans.

Although she denies it to anyone who’ll listen, those in the know say that lately Fliss has been noticing more than Alex’s business acumen. Like his broad shoulders and sexy smile and...you get the picture.

The truly shocking part? The feeling may be mutual. Very mutual.

Not that Alex intends to admit it. Ever. Even if it kills him. He’s set on convincing Fliss to sell her stake to him and then staying far, far away from the alluring star. A solid plan...except our sources tell us he needs her help in securing a business deal. So who’s going to come out on top in this battle of business smarts and hearts? We don’t know, but we can’t wait to find out!

I feel as though this is one of those reads I wanted to like more than I actually did.

I stumbled upon this read because the author has a new book out (something about baking and fake dating) but it’s 10.99 so I was like wow that’s sooo expensive!! I honestly don’t think I would ever spend 10.99 on a book and in this case I don’t even know the author so I would definitely not just throw that money out the window and thank God I didn’t!

This book was actually good I’d rate it a 3.5 it’s just so wordy. I make a habit to never skip words but in this case I couldn’t help but to skim.

The 2 main characters dance around each other for the book in a taboo/sort of enemies to lovers scenario which was great if it would have been perhaps executed a little better.

It dragged a lot without anything that kept your interest.

The characters do keep your attention but it’s way too wordy without having substance for me.

3.5

I wouldn’t recommend it. Not sure if I’d read another book from this author.

The not being on KU is an issue for me. I personally think that all smaller unknown authors should be on kindle unlimited but hey, I’m just in marketing what do I know? Lol

This is a quick read. It kind of has the forbidden love vibe. Alex has always had a thing for his best friend's soon to be ex-wife. As part of Felicity's divorce settlement, she gets her ex-husband's shares in the production company. Alex thought he was getting a silent partner with Felicity. Felicity wants to take more of a hands on approach. It's fun watching the two of them butt heads. Both learn from each other.

A fun, quick read set in the glitz and glam of Hollywood, where dreams have come true for A List actress Felicity "Fliss" Chambers and action movie producer Alex Graham. Fliss is bouncing back from a divorce- her cheating husband granted her his shares in Crescendo, the production company he runs with Alex.

This makes Fliss and Alex business partners. This makes Alex uncomfortable and angry. Not only did he want to build the business himself, prove to himself that he could do it, he's been in love with Fliss since the moment he met her, even though she's been married to his best friend.. He's determined to get her to sell her half of the company-- but not until after she helps him land the deal of a lifetime.

In between roping music mogul Philip Mansfield to sell production rights to his wife's biopic, Fliss and Alex can't seem to keep their hands to themselves. But each time they give in to each other, Alex pulls away.

There are only so many times Fliss is going to be rejected. When she reaches her limit, it takes someone with an enormous amount of power to bring them together again.

Once I settled in with this book, it was quick read... pages turned easily and the story, though it dragged in a few places, flowed well. The first few chapters were a bit awkward but the writing got better the further I read. I felt as if there was a lot of explaining of feelings, a lot of backstory, a lot of focus on how hot Felicity is, how much Alex secretly wanted her.. And so. many. references to her whiskey eyes.

Nevertheless, Wesley is skilled at putting together an engaging story that makes you laugh and gives you that warm, happily ever after feeling.

This is a light, quick read about forbidden love. Here we meet Felicity, friends call her Fliss, a renowned actress just come off of a divorce. She negotiated her ex husband's half of a production company in the divorce. Alex, the partner and her ex husband's best friend, is none too happy to hear this. He expected to buy Keith's half so he could have sole ownership. He did not want another actor co-owning his company but being too bored to work. Little did he know Fliss had a goal in mind. She wanted to work hard to make it successful. The characters have always had an interest in each other but think the other is not interested. The Hero believes he is not worthy of Fliss' love because of his background. Fliss' self-esteem has taken a hit by her ex-husband so she also feels unworthy of true love. Also being in the limelight, Fliss has to carefully conceal her love interests from the media. It was a good story and enjoyable to read. It had a productive and smart resolution. However, the constant self doubt both had didn't appeal to me. I give it 3 stars because of that.

My favorite part of Jamie Wesley's writing is the humor. She writes things like, "The completely illogical attraction he'd been so sure would fade in time was holding on like a third-string football player." Now there's a simile you don't get in every romance novel! The dialogue is snappy and interesting, and we get interesting scenes like the H/h on the basketball court or learning to knit.
I wish that the humor had stayed around a little longer. Things got a little bogged down in the third quarter. By then, though, I was invested in the characters and had to know what would happen.
I would recommend this book to a friend. It is an entertaining read. I will be reading more by Ms. Wesley.

After I read Tell Me Something Good I was eagerly awaiting the next book by Ms. Wesley and I was not disappointed when I read This is True Love.

This is True Love is a great read...flows well, great characters, humor to make the story pop, and snappy dialogue. Maybe I enjoyed it so much because the dynamic reminded me so much of me and my husband so I got some extra chuckles out of it. I really enjoy Ms. Wesley's writing style and reading this fun story was a nice way to spend a lazy summer day.

The story started off well enough, grumpy hero, cool heroine, great sexual tension, banter all the things I usually love in an enemies to lovers story but then the back and forth became tiresome and annoying and by the time they had sex which I was looking forward to (nothing like hate sex that turns into love sex) I just didn't care anymore.

There were enjoyable parts but in the end this book just didn't work for me.

I love LOVE!! My first read from this author and I liked the way she paced the story and characters build up to show their growth throughout the story.
