I loved this conclusion to Thea and Nakir's storyline, and I am excited to see what happens next in this world.

I thoroughly enjoyed this duet and loved the conclusion to Thea's story. Her growth and development throughout the books from a meek and unsure girl that had been abused by her mother, into a powerful force of light and hope was one that I enjoyed experiencing.
I loved Nakir and his friends, and they all made themselves a small little place in my heart. Each character added to the story and brought a unique aspect of who they are that plaued into the vibes of the story.
I did feel like the ending battle was a bit too easy - just as the drama was really ramping up, the way it ended left me a bit unsatisfied. The decision made by Thea's mother didnt ring true for me, to who she had been throughout the book, and it just felt a bit too easy.
I did love how things played out for Thea and Nakir, and the fact that a certain someone was still a part of their lives. Overall, it was an interesting duet and I enjoyed the characters and the plot. If the final battle had played out a bit differently I would have probably given this a solid 4 stars.

I loved The Truth-Teller’s Awakening! This was an emotional, action-filled, and beautifully written conclusion to The Oracle’s Duet.
The stakes are even higher as war closes in and Thea begins to understand the true strength of the prophetic magic awakening inside her. Her character growth was one of my favorite parts of the book. She has spent so much of her life fighting for freedom, but now she must decide what freedom truly means and what kind of future she wants to build.
The relationship between Thea and Nakir was filled with longing, vulnerability, sacrifice, and fierce devotion. Nakir would rather lose his kingdom than use Thea as a weapon, and I loved how deeply their story focused on choice. Their romance is passionate, but it is also about allowing the person you love to remain free.
The expanding magic, political danger, rebellion, found-family relationships, and approaching war kept me completely invested. There are intense battles and heartbreaking decisions, but the story also leaves room for hope, healing, and the possibility of an ordinary life after everything these characters have endured.

I loved The Truth Teller’s Bargain, and I was so excited for this book, but it just didn’t hit for me. I think the writing in this is beautiful, I loved the prose and the world. I do wish there had been some kind of recap. I read book 1 not too long ago, but I still found myself not remembering points or relationships and without a recap, or even the text itself reminding me, I felt myself less engaged with the story and the characters.
I think a lot of the plot points in this story didn’t feel fully fleshed out. The conflict between the FMC and MMC felt like it was only there for the sake of conflict. I also wish there was more detail given to plot points. Everything felt rushed to fit it in a duet, and certain plot points felt thrown in without any explanation or backstory.

I loved this book and it broke my heart when Thea and Nakir were trying to figure out their relationship. After the rescue when he was trying to give her space you could tell it was just killing them both. Their love was just so open for each other.
The development of her friendship with the group grew in this book and the support that they all had for each showed more in this book. She truly became one of them.
Adding Jasper as the other love interest I was not expecting but it worked and made it sort of why choose but not completely. I wasn’t sure at first but the situation grew on me.
This is a great romantasy and top tier. If you love magic, romance with some extra romance on the side, epic battle and an ending that leaves you with more questions you need to read this.

Quick note: I'd really recommend going from book one straight into this one, since this one picks up right where we left off in TTTB and doesn't give much of a recap of book one.
I'll start with what I liked, since there were a couple of things that really stood out to me. First of all, Camille's writing is honestly beautiful. I found myself really sinking into the atmosphere and appreciating the language she used to make you feel with the characters. Secondly, I also just loved being back in this world. There is something cozy about this duet, despite some of its heavier themes. That also has a lot to do with my third point, which are the character dynamics; I adore the found family aspect. I feel like the more tender interactions between certain characters really shine here and I was really glad to see our FMC grow into her power.
However, there are also things I struggled with. Most of these are continuations of the things I mentioned in my review of TTTB, primarily my issues with the relationship between the FMC and the MMC. The depth of their affection for each other still felt unearned and yet – since this is obviously the second book – it got more intense, so instead of feeling bittersweet, it unfortunately made me cringe more than once.
The next points are more minor qualms, but they were enough to take me out of the story at times:
~ In a world full of magic, portals, mythical beings, fates... we have rifles. Hm.
~ Everyone puts our FMC on a pedestal. Now, Alethea has many admirable traits, but she gets so much praise for doing... what, exactly? Whatever Alethea does – that doesn't include her power, which she doesn't use a whole lot either –, others have probably done many times before. She also went from being overwhelmed by her power to mastering it in what felt like such a short span of time.
~ The battle scenes felt a little flat,
~ Now, this last one isn't really a qualm, but I would've loved to see more of Emi and Dawes. Though that ending does give me hope that they might play a bigger role in the next parts of the series.
That being said, I really did enjoy this duet and I'm optimistic about any of the author's future works, so I will definitely be keeping an eye out for them!

Truth-Teller's Awakening is the second book in the Oracle's Duet, following Truth-Teller's Bargain, and I really enjoyed continuing this story.
Camille's writing is one of my favorite parts of this series. It's emotional without being overly flowery or wordy, easy to visualize, and the strong character POV made me feel immersed in the story.
The character development was probably my favorite part. Thea grew so much as she learned more about herself, her strengths, and where she belongs. Nakir also had satisfying growth as he learned to let go of his inner restraints and allow people in. I especially loved the found-family dynamic. Everyone had their own strengths and place within the group, and seeing their relationships with Thea and each other develop gave the story such a strong sense of belonging.
I also enjoyed the continued worldbuilding, especially learning more about the history of the families, people, and magic. I did wish some of the worldbuilding from the first book had been revisited, though. There is a LOT happening in this series, and I struggled to remember some things from book one. I definitely recommend reading these close together.
I did get confused in places because we were sometimes dropped into situations without much explanation. And then there is "The Thing At The End". I'm not going to spoil anything, but I understood why this character was part of the story. I just didn't understand how they ended up where they did. Honestly, I don't think they deserved that ending, and I couldn't make sense of why things played out that way. That was probably the biggest thing keeping this from being a full five stars.
Overall, I felt satisfied with the story and its conclusion, despite that one big “but WHY?” moment. I would absolutely recommend continuing the series if you enjoyed the first book. The characters, relationships, found family, evolving magic, and Camille's immersive writing kept me invested throughout.

I absolutely loved how this picked right back up where we left off in book one. The transition between the two books was so smooth that it honestly felt like I had never left this world.
And the ACTION?! 👏🏽 There was never a dull moment.
My gripe: The only thing I didn’t understand was the use of the rifles and how they came out of nowhere, I could’ve sworn she knew about them and that they should’ve expected the use? The final battle seemed a bit rushed and removing Zenobia and the way it was done wasn’t as exciting as I had imagined, and the way Thea was looking for Nakir asking where he was- knowing he was in the battle? that kind of threw me off.
But one of my favorite parts was seeing how much Alethea has grown and truly come into herself. Watching her step into her strength and become more confident in who she is made me so happy. And listen… I will ALWAYS be rooting for her and Nakir. I love them together. ❤️

Can we please talk about JASPER?! 😮💨🥵
I did not expect to fall for that man the way I did. His patience with Alethea, the way he was simply THERE for her without expecting or demanding anything in return… SIR. 😭 He gave her exactly what she needed and allowed her to make her own choices.

This book picks up right where the first one left off. Continuing Alethea's journey toward freedom through rebellion. Between learning how to control her magic and helping the rebel leader, Nakir, take her mother's crown, Thea finds herself questioning what that freedom will actually look like in the end. And starts to wonder if that is indeed, what she really wants.
This is a story of learning to fight for yourself and the family you choose. And it is SO WELL DONE. My favorite thing is that Thea finds her own way to accomplish her goals while staying true to herself. Even as she is still learning exactly who and what she is. It's a breath of fresh air to have an FMC that knows she doesn't belong in the throes of battle, and yet finds ways to contribute to the effort behind the scenes. AND IT DOESN'T MAKE HER LESS CAPABLE OR IMPORTANT!!!
The romance is tense, slow, and steamy. Nakir's commitment to their bargain and the freedom he promised Thea creates a tension that had me gripping my kindle and screaming "just freaking kiss her you fool!!!" It's perfect.
Wolfewood's magic system is complex; and learning about it alongside Thea in this book highlights how much she was deliberately kept in the dark about her own power. The Weave is such a unique power source and it was fun to really dive into the rules of magic in this world.

Camille has done it again! THE TRUTH-TELLER’S AWAKENING is a magical journey of reclamation, and I’m so happy that I was here to witness the conclusion to The Oracle’s Duet. Alethea and Nakir do what they do best: steal our hearts with mutual yearning and silence us with their heartbreaking vulnerability and admirable growth. Get a partner who looks at you like Nakir looks at Alethea!
The magic system gets significant expansion in this entry, and I commend Wolfewood on its unique structure and she seamlessly introduces it to the reader. Watching Alethea learn more about her powers as the Truth-Teller is like watching her break all the chains of resentment and insecurity she carried and stand as the strong woman we know she's meant to be. Not only that, her power is earned. We see her putting in the effort to become stronger and prouder of herself.
The romance is ELECTRIFYING. Not just because of the spice or the emotional intimacy, but because both work towards creating this partnership. There’s nothing more satisfying than seeing both characters recognize their shortcomings and work hard to be better individuals and as a couple. P.S. I am praying for spin-off justice for Balthy. The side characters are too likeable to let them disappear!

Y'all… WOWWWW. What a fantastic conclusion to this duet! I couldn't have asked for a better ending, and I think I loved this one even more than the first!
One of my favorite things about this series is how easy it is to get lost in the story. The writing is so digestible, the romance is beautifully balanced without being over the top, and the found family is everything. I loved watching Thea's oracle powers develop and evolve in this book and I loved watching her start owning her growth.
Thea herself.. I adored her. She's such a wonderful example of a woman who can be soft without being weak. The quiet strength to her was so appreciated.. She really came into her own this book. Loved!
Now.. can we discuss this Nakir?! I don't think I've ever encountered an MMC so completely confident that no matter what his woman does, he KNOWS he's endgame😂🥵

One of my favorite things about this series is how easy it is to get lost in the story. The writing is so digestible, the romance is beautifully balanced without being over the top, and the found family is everything. I loved watching Thea's oracle powers develop and evolve in this book and I loved watching her start owning her growth.
Thea herself.. I adored her. She's such a wonderful example of a woman who can be soft without being weak. The quiet strength to her was so appreciated.. She really came into her own this book. Loved!
Now.. can we discuss this Nakir?! I don't think I've ever encountered an MMC so completely confident that no matter what his woman does, he KNOWS he's endgame😂🥵

Thank you Camille Wolfewood for giving me the opportunity to read and review the ARC for The Truth-Teller's Awakening! It was the perfect ending to The Oracle's Duet!
I've been itching for this book ever since I finished The Truth-Teller's Bargain! In The Truth-Teller's Awakening, war is coming closer, and alliances need to be made. Thea, Nakir, and the rest of the group travel to Cerulea to try to forge an alliance with the Great Lord Emre Volkan. It is here where Thea also meets the Air Mage, Jasper Hawthorne. Thea begins growing into her powers as an Oracle with the help of Jasper, and things with Nakir become complicated. Not only is war with Queen Zenobia on the horizon, but a new potential villain is brought into the picture.
It feels like the author has poured her heart and soul into this book. The magic system and how she explains how the different types work is incredible! There is so much emotion in this book: tension, sadness, hope, anger, love. So much of the book had me on the edge of my seat begging me to not put it down! I said that this was the perfect ending, but is it really an ending??? 🤨 You'll have to read it for yourself to find out! Me personally? I'm hoping for more!

I have been (im)patiently waiting for this book since I finishe Truth-Tellers Bargain and I can say without a doubt.....IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!

I *really* enjoyed book one of this duology but unfortunately I did not vibe with this one the same.
It felt like very little really happened, the war was barely there, suddenly everything was ‘solved’, and I don’t fully understand the addition of the Jasper storyline. (It didn’t seem to match the tone of book 1, but I’m here for representing different relationships).
This is a fantasy with not very high stakes, which is fine, but if you are into emotion, and expect this to be one with war and turmoil - it doesn’t fully deliver on that.
Clearly, according to the epilogue, the author plans to expand this as a wider story arc. It could be very interesting, seems like the author is wanting to take this story further and potentially ramp it up a level. I am somewhat cautious to carry on but I’m sure the author will pull it off though if book 1 is especially something to go by.

If you loved book one, be ready to fall more in love with this book!
This book picks up right after the ending events of book one - with Thea chopping off her hair to be free and then running blindly hoping for an escape. The steaks and tension are much higher in this book, but the reward at the end was so so sweet.
I fell in love with Althea and Nakir in the first book, but this drove home how much I love them. Nakir was ready to give up everything to keep Thea safe and free, even if it meant losing her. I may or may not have wanted to smack him upside the head, but it's okay because another character beat me to it, and successfully pulled his head out of his ass. Watching their relationship grow and strengthen was so heartwarming.
We dove more into the magic side of things with this book, and I loved how we got a glimpse into more things in store for this world too! This story feels like it is just the beginning of something great, and I can't wait to find out even more about the kinds of magic other people have as well.

I could not have been more excited for this second installment in The Oracle’s Duet. I had the pleasure of beta reading this book, I knew without a doubt that this would be a wonderful read.
The Truth-Teller’s Bargain was one of my favorite debut fantasy novels I read this year, and this follow up was even better! Sometimes the sophomore book can be disappointing when you love a first book. This is not the case with TTA. The amount of highlighted text and quotes I had from this book! Crazy. So hard to choose one to feature on my posts.
This cast of characters, both main and side, are some of my favorite. Alethea’s continued growth into her sense of self and power was beautiful in this book. The deep anguish we feel from Nakir in this, is profoundly moving.

The pacing and structure of this book was off. This is the conclusion of a duet in the midst of war but there's very little action or build up until the end. There are overly long extended side quests for the fmc to learn and hone her power and to gain allies for the rebellion, which all should have happened in book one. It felt unfocused and undisciplined to have all of these character-development things happening and almost no action in what is supposed to be a fantasy story.
I did think the evolution of the romance was interesting and the whole Jasper moment was definitely unexpected.
But overall I was left wanting more - more intensity, more momentum, more drive.
But if you like really slow and mellow character study romantasy with on page spice then you might like this duet.

Another winner for me! I was very invested in this book, as book one, which I thoroughly enjoyed, leaves you with such a cliffhanger. Total aside, but highly recommend reading these back-to-back. I had to reread parts of book one a couple of times to review a few relationships.
Camille’s beautiful writing places you right back in the world of Senmarria, and it continues with her fabulous world building and imagery. Previous characters are all continuing their journeys and we are introduced to new, impactful ones. I loved the continued strength of Thea and even when I was kind of mad at her choices, I never stopped rooting for her. The same can be said for Nakir, although honestly, he’s a definite favorite. The relationship between the two of them is so multi-dimensional and the yearning is palpable. Their intimacy (and spice) is dynamic.
I could go on and on, but don’t want to give away details. This is one you’ll definitely want to read for yourself. It’s exciting and nerve-wracking and swoon-worthy. Also, just know that I’ll be over here waiting for where Wolfewood takes us next.

Starting where book 1 left off, Thea has escaped and runs back to Nakir. Half the time I was yelling at him like, " dude, seriously?? just talk to each other." The amount of back and forth between these two!! There were parts that I was annoyed with the characters, and moments where I was like, " Oh, ok"... This story kept me interested, although some of it went a little quickly ( like mastering her powers). But the end left me wanting more. I know this is a duology, but so much was left unanswered that I think were potentially HUGE parts of the plot ( What about Roman?? What is this new evil???)

I loved this probably even more than book 1.
I felt this was more fast paced and we learned so much about the history of everything that has happened.
I loved that we see how the relationships Thea has made have essentially altered her perspective of everything she wanted with her life.
The scene with Jasper...I mean come on!
I feel Balthasar is my favorite character and I need a whole book just about him, his life, his wants, needs, desires.
Would have liked a little more time with Nakir but I got more Dawes and I was good with that.
What is our wait time for the next one?

When I read, I can see everything that's being written in a book. It's like watching a movie in my head. That being said. Camille has made a beautiful world with her books. And the characters come alive so well. I've had my emotions run all over the place with what is happening with the characters at any time. Mad, sad, happy...etc.
I even got anxious when freaking Jasper came into the story. The detail that's put in these books are remarkable for me. I have to say that one of the ending lines was my favorite? "Will you be my king?"
I look forward to more from these characters and from Camille.

I’m so mad there will not be a Truth Teller 3. Honestly I loved this duet so much. The writing, the story, the characters, the plot.
I started this book in anticipation from book 1 and by the middle I was chomping at the bit to get to the war scenes, wondering how our beautiful author was going to tie it in. And when I finally got there?? Sadness for having read it so quickly.

I absolutely loved this duology. Thea is amazing. She grows even stronger and I absolutely love her as a character. I love the deepening of relationships that happens for her with this book so she's not alone anymore. Thea and Nakirs relationship throughout the book has its ups and downs because Nakir tries so hard to ensure he keeps his promise to her and I love that he does that for her. I love both books and I love now this book completed the duology.

The story of chosen family vs blood is engaging. New characters are introduced and the story is packed full of emotion. Since I finished book 1 I have been asking Camille for book 2, and I think it was even better. I love the world she built, and I wanted to live in Cerulea forever. The new characters (Jasper omg), the found family, the plot twists, the DRAMA. I even cried which how dare you. I am ready for whatever comes next in the Songs of Senmarria and I will be asking often so I apologize in advance. 5 stars!
