Brett, an alpha-hot billionaire and a bear shifter, is faced with an ultimatum and a fast-approaching deadline. Either he is to present his chosen mate to the members of his clan before the end of the week, or he would have to take the bride they have already selected for him.
Simone, a curvy, sassy medical student, has been happily engaged, but recently she has begun to notice another side to her normally attentive and loving fiance. As things between them start accelerating downhill fast, she begins to wonder if he really is the right person for her.
A horrific accident involving Brett and an unfortunate set of events for Simone bring the two together in the most unlikely of circumstances. WIth the clock ticking and all the odds against them, is it possible that they might turn into accidental mates?
This is a STANDALONE novella with NO CLIFFHANGER, which contains explicit scenes, suitable for audiences of 18 and up.
Wow! That’s the first reaction I had after reading this novella. My other reaction was “oh man it isn’t a series!” But the blurb is correct. There isn’t a cliffhanger. I’m amazed that the author was able to say so much in this novella. From beginning to end I loved Bret and Simone and hated Charlie. As someone who majored in psychology,, I can appreciate how the author presented the abusive relationship between Charlie and Simone. Most people wonder why women stay in abusive relationships. In this story, the answers are clear to see. And I also love that this isn’t a love triangle where Simone can’t stand to live without both men. It isn’t the type of book where she runs off with Bret and Charlie is understanding. Thankfully, Charlie is exposed for the monster that he is. And don’t worry, Charlie does get his in the end. I have to give this book 5 stars. It has everything I look for in a read. It has relatable characters, a supernatural element, a love story, and an intriguing supernatural element. It is a short read. I love how the author gets to the point. I will reread this in the future!
Story line could have been drawn into a longer, more detailed book. I was disappointed in how quick the story line went and jumped with little to no character development.
