I've truly enjoyed this story that is split into five parts and have discovered a new author to look out for. Ms.Tate has crafted a story that's unique and very entertaining. Something is always happening and yes it's a hot read but there's so much humour within the pages too. What really surprised me with this the final part was the sheer depth of emotion this couple express and its very easy to get totally caught up in this outrageous story line. I expected light, fluffy and admittedly hot sci fi romance but got so much more. The author gives us a heroine who will do anything to save her man and a delicious growling possessive hero, what's not to love? If you enjoy alien romance then these Ujals should definitely come home with you!

SERIOUSLY SEXY SCI-FI SERIES !!!
Rhal, Part Five - The Ujal Series: FIVE DELECTABLY DELICIOUSLY STARS
Oh my glory! Buckle up my lovelies cause here we go again! Erin Tate has dazzled us yet again with another addition to her hit Sci-Fi series, The Ujal, and what a deliciously delectable morsel it is! This book is entitled Rhal and is the fifth and final book in this series. It is being released in a series of five installments so be forewarned, there will be cliffhangers. But never fret, Parts One and Two were both released on June 2 and Part Three follows closely on their heels with a release date of June 5. Installment Four will be released on June 12 and finally, Installment Five will wrap it up on June 19, at which time the complete bundle will also be available to those of you who want the complete bundle. Wow! How thoughtful is that? Tate is always looking out for her readers and I am definitely a fan. I first became hooked on Tate's books when she published Vados, It was not only the first book in The Ujal Series but also her very first offering in the science fiction genre and so as they say, the rest is history and I've been obsessively addicted ever since. But I digress, so let's talk about Rhal. The story is original, inventive, well developed, well executed, exciting, romantic, seductive with a little humor thrown in for good measure. The dialogue is smart, snappy, exceptionally well written and flows effortlessly. The characters, my favorite part, are captivating, fascinating, engaging, intriguing, sexy as sin and at times, laugh out loud funny. They come to life and jump off the pages while capturing your imagination and your heart. Tate expertly combines these elements into a science fiction masterpiece filled with adventure, suspense and romance. After reading Erin's stories, I go to bed and dream of handsome, sexy aliens, and in this case, sexy aquatic aliens that can shift from beautiful scales and tail-fins to hunky muscles, skin and legs. Oh my! Sigh......If only they were real! Cara Marte is not only having a bad day, she's having a bad life. First, she falls head over heels in love with Mr Sexy On Legs, Rhal fa Adar, one of the Ujal warriors stationed at UST, the Ujal Station Tau, their land based station. And why is that bad you ask? Well, for one, Cara works at the the UST which is where Rhal works everyday training their recruits and soldiers so there's no way she can avoid him. Two, he outright lied to her face and admitted that he did it intentionally. What a jerk, albeit a handsome jerk! Three, he rejected her which in turn caused number four, a broken heart. Yep, her heart is not only broken, it's shattered beyond repair. He is such a jerk-wad, but still a handsome sexy one! But what she doesn't know is that Rhal truly does love her and is willing to let her go to save her from the horror of his past sins and the consequences they may hold. He can never tell her and will love her from afar. Well, we all know what happens to best laid plans and good intentions, don't we. They usually get blasted all to haydees! Oh my goodness! So what does a girl do when she's been rejected by the man she loves and is nursing a broken heart? She tells Principessa Rina, mate to Prince Tave, who has been her best friend since childhood. And wait for it....Rina not only convinces Cara to go to the Population Ministry, she accompanies Cara to the Population Ministry to submit an application to the Intergalactic Mating Agency to request a match for a mate. Huh? That's how Rina was matched with Prince Tave. Even if it was without Rina and Tave's knowledge, it still worked out well for them so why not for her, right? Wrong! She's always been that girl. You know, the one that everything bad happens to. Well, I can seriously sympathize because that girl has always been me! Anyway, back to the story, she is rejected! What the heck? How is that even possible? She's told she's unmatchable due to degenerative genetic material and their decision is final; no further petitions will be accepted. What does that even mean? Well, it means that somehow she had ingested some of Rhal's genetic material and now her body is trying to transition into a Ujal. What? That's not even possible, is it??? They'd never had unprotected sex! But does one little taste count? Hmmm....apparently it does. Anyway, the worst has happened and now she could die because she and Rhal have not mated and without his DNA, her body can't complete the change. Oh my! Why her? He doesn't want her! Or does he? Yes! He very much wants her and he claims her for his own but Cara is still not convinced. But thank heavens, Rhal is determined to convince her and he does! But she still needs his genetic material to complete the transformation and everything seems to be going well until the happy couple is set up by his cruel, sadistic dam by mating, Otta and the guard Kaag. When Kaag touches and then injures Cara, all bets are off and Rhal attacks. He has now been imprisoned and the king refuses to allow him access to his mate. Cara is dying and knows she must act swiftly if she is to save Rahl and herself. But will Rhal forgive her for what she's forced to do to save them??? OMG! This just gets better and better! I guess we'll have to read the book to find out but I will say this.....Beautiful, curvy, human/Ujal hybrid woman with a lot of junk in her trunk who is hopelessly in love with a Ujal warrior-check! Handsome sexy Ujal warrior/assassin who is in love with his human true mate but is willing to give her up to save her from his past-check! Danger, drama, suspense, old enemies including a dam-by-mating and an evil king-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, heartbreaking angst, a lot of humor and some sweet romance-you bet! That and a whole lot more and that's just in the first installment! Wow! As, I said earlier, here we go again! I love it! I can hardly wait to see what Erin Tate dreams up for us next! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!

Are they fully mated cause they never said the vows from like in the previous books with Vados and Tave?
Finally together happily ever after after truly forgiving each others betrayals. I forgive Rhal too

My ARC was given to me for a honest review. I would give 5 stars for this novella, The Ujal: Rhal, Part 5 by Erin Tate.

Rhal's past is exposed, but at a high cost to Cara. He's free, and has left her. His pride and other negative emotions are in the way of his future happiness. Rhal feels hurt, and betrayed by Cara.

Cara is a strong willed woman, and finds the strength to move on. On her way to a full Ujal transition with the last blood transfusion. Rhal's missing from her life. Cara has a surprising transition in the sea which is different from Mara (from the novella The Ujal: Vados), and Rina (The Ujal: Tave set). She's the first human to get a Ujal tail under sea water. You have to read about what happens between Cara and Rhal, and it gets hot.

I got caught up in the original storyline, drama, action and was not disappointed about the way it flowed. The novella stayed at a good pace throughout the story, and was realistic. The author, Erin Tate, made all the characters come alive in her vivid storytelling, and kept me interested. I was not bored or disappointed at all. She never left me hanging while I read it. I am ecstatic about completing Rhal's story, and was thrilled to finally complete it.

The ending in this story has HEA for The Ujal: Rhal by Erin Tate. The science fiction alien romance story is about humans and aliens for readers 18+ age group due to sexual content.

I hope you will enjoy reading this novella. Erin Tate it is next on my reading list. I look forward to reading more of this series.

Thanks for reading my review.

I was not disappointed by the ending. There was plenty of emotions and a wrap up to the political backstabbing. Rhal and Cara have a major issues to work out and understand emotions. I hope for more of the Ujal world.
