Subtle horror, it reminded me of Shirley Jackson.

Wow
This is the fourth book (in a row) that I have read by this author. I fully intend to read every one of his books. The style of writing I find unique, sometimes curious but always compelling. The story moves along not running but at a pace one does when walking a path to see what next there is to see. Love the story and how it is presented. His books and his use of words makes me feel like he has an intellect far beyond most. I highly recommend Mr. Kelley's books.

A perfect folk read. A few repeated phrases but the plot had me hooked and I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
