The main character gets too annoying to handle for me to enjoy this one. At first she's fine but she slowly turns into this irritating, ignorant, too-good-to-be-true, slightly manipulative thing. She even keeps mispronouncing Yoga and "Yoba" which is supposed to be endearing. It's hard to cheer for romantic relationships when the woman is obsessed with stuffed animals, piggyback rides and acting like a child around eight men. Also, her name is actually Kitten....which gets annoying since they keep saying, even saying "Miss Kitten." Sigh. On the other hand the guys actually aren't bad, but there's a lot of past history that makes them feel all bad for her and protective. There is very little story after awhile - it's mainly conversations about playing about the most random things. Also, eight is just too much so I start getting them confused or forgetting about some of them.

The story is too long considering the development doesn't offer enough changes, and the longer the story goes the more clear it is that "Kitten" has the IQ of a steak.

AND her age makes no sense. Half the time it reads as a YA novel since she starts as 16 but then apparently is an adult later because she "counted" summers starting at 4-6 yrs old, so add 16 to that or whatever. She acts so childish though --- the doctor in the pack, she takes her teddy bear to him for "surgery" sewing and runs around with candy baskets - so I hardly care about her erotic explorations with the guys. It's weird.

Cliffhanger

I'd gone out with my kindle and the book I was going to read but I was struggling to settle and so six or seven books later I started this, I knew from the title it was a shifter book but that was it.
I have very mixed feelings about this book and honestly I can understand why people both love and hate it. Lots of things bothered me but there was something here and I'll be reading 'Keeping My Pack' when it's released at the end of this month.
Kitten was found in a dumpster with her umbilical cord still attached by a crazy homeless lady who thought she was a cat, hence the name. She's never seen a doctor and escaped as soon as she could and she's been on her own ever since, she's learnt valuable lessons in life from a selection of people, both nice and not so nice. Kitten doesn't know how old she is but she started counting sixteen years ago so we know she's older than that.
I had loads of issues with Kitten, at times she seemed like a very young child and it was almost creepy on occasion but then she's experiencing so many things for the first time so I let the childlike glee pass but it was uncomfortable at times when it appeared she was sixteen but seemed about six a lot of the time and yet the 'boys' are all hundreds of years old, I felt better when it turns out she's probably at least nineteen.
Kitten has an eidetic memory which I assume must be for future books but here it worked against her because if she's so well read, and we know she was because she spent so long in the library then she would have known more, she would have known that a horse with a horn on its head is a unicorn and cotton candy isn't made from cotton.
"That sounds gross, my shirt is made of cotton"
And so so many other things.
This book seemed childish at times, the story could and should have been tighter but I loved the guys and despite all my complaints and all its faults I found myself enjoying this book, I'm as surprised as anyone but I can't wait for the next one.

Overall, very enjoyable (especially for fans of CL Stone). Kitten was a bit annoying at times. She has a photographic memory yet no understanding of some basic things? I get that she was a street kid, but she read tons of books and was exposed to lots of people and things that would have furthered her understanding of basics. It was annoying at times, but overall, still a good read if you are into reverse harems.

Read it twice!!!

I'm in love. The book was unique with the characters and I wouldn't change any of them. however it seemed to me to be more of an intro of the Heroes and the heroin . I didn't mind that at all. I loved the interaction between them and it made the book more believable. My concern is the plot started to me about 67% in leaving you with a cliffhanger. I do not mind this as long as the next book is just as detailed with feelings and interactions as the first otherwise this book should have ended with the conclusion.
I can't wait for the second one and hope that nothing changes between Remy, Ash(my favorite) Tristan, Logan, Kellen, Finn, Reed, Jace and Kitten their love is uniquely beautiful.

This was a guilty pleasure.

I notice a lot of negative reviews on this book and I can see where they are coming from. Under normal circumstances I might have given this a 3 or lower but the difference I think was audio . I picked this up on Libby and the narrator was awesome. Multiple POV and multiple narrators made this really enjoyable and gave it a more authentic feel than I think I would have found reading it. I probably would have rolled my eyes so much they might have got stuck, that or barfed so much are the sickly sweetness.

The FMC is literally called Kitten. Yes that’s her name. This is that story. Homeless and innocent FMC grows up on the street, alone. Found nearly dead by 8 werewolves and taken in because they can’t fight those protective instincts for a damsel in distress.

You've all read a variation of this I know you have. So its nothing new but I just enjoyed listening to it. Its all relationships and Kitten being introduced to things for the fist time. Clothes, cars....food.

As a RH buff I'm used to the way authors sometimes authors use things to define the harem, like the cook, the geek, the giant broody one...well this had that but ALSO very helpfully and uniquely used colours to help remember the 8 wolves.

And it made me think of Power Rangers

Black Ranger - Remy the Alpha & Ash the gentle giant
Red Ranger - Tristan the cook
Gold Ranger - Jace the aristocrat
White - Reed the artist
Green - Kellan the Doctor
Blue - Logan the fashion guru
Orange - Finn the smart geeky one

The downside to the harem is the age gap. Poor Kitten doesn't even know her age but its estimated at 17 and these wolves are 100's of years old. It made me feel a little yucky for enjoying the steamier bits when she was so innocent and clueless and these guys are anything but.
It's mild steam at this stage but will only grow and get kinkier as it goes on. So not YA in my opinion. It looks like it might take a darker turn in book 2 also...

So yea this will not be for everyone but like I said guilty pleasure.

Well. I really like reverse harem stories. 5, 6, 7, 8 guys to your beck and call? Hell yeah! (In books - in real life I don‘t even want to handle one). The problem is ... except the Meredith Gentry series by Laurel K. Hamilton I haven‘t read one, that I found really good. They are bad to mediocre.

This one was more bad than mediocre, to be honest. The biggest problem with so many main protagonists is, the author has to be hella good at world and first and foremost character building. Otherwise all of them stay shallow. Like in this book. Except that one cooked and painted I couldn‘t differentiate the men from each other. What could have saved this a little bit: a strong well drawn female protagonist. Another miss. Kitten (why she would keep that stupid name, Was beyond me) felt like 12 most of the time with occasional sexy times and dirty thoughts, a combination that was seriously disturbing. She was young and beyond innocent, stupidly forgiving, ridiculously well informed with her „eidetic memory“, overly naive, unworldly and at the fitting book scenes either a hot temptress or a fabulous shoot, although she never played paintball before. Such a special little snowflake, huh? Her whole character was anything but coherent and really ticked me off.

How they all meet was another miss for me, too - for a street girl to be this trusting, fuck no ... The „interesting“ things only happened on the last third of the book and were rather predictable.

They ONLY really interesting was the boy that got on her bad side in the beginning to protect his family...

But people ... I am a really bad quitter. And curious. So stakes are high that I will try the second book and see what happens next.

Complete disappointment

JUVENILE in every way. At times it felt like parenting moments; at other times...okay the whole time the characters (ALL of them) were unrealistic. Someone should take this concept and make it great. Unbelievable, the whole book. Grown men have too much pride, integrity, and (should have had) enough adult experience to behave like this. Creepy!!!!!! Author do your research on matters you want to write about, and plainly know nothing about. Young adult women don't behave like this. Not all eight grown men will enable her behavior to this degree, and refuse to challenge her to GROW up! This book needs another author!

Well not a lot to say about this one. It's pretty obvious but still enjoyable. Reverse harem, with 8 guys in her stable-to-be. Kitten is a street kid of indeterminate age. Her history is ridiculous and so far fetched it's entertaining. Total special snowflake syndrome.
Most of the book is about Kitten bonding with her guys, who are (seriously it's obvious)
For much of the story there are so many of them that it was hard to recall them all, but by the end I have a pretty good idea of each character. The world building is sufficient.
None of this was clever, and yet, I enjoyed it and look forward to the next...
Well I damn well better, as this one ends on a whopping cliffhanger!
Really, the whole story is pretty relaxed until the last 10% which becomes nail biting action.

The story reminded me of C.L. Stone's Ghost Bird series, except that stuff actually happens in this one.
My one complaint is that the secondary bad guy didn't really make sense. But how can I quibble about that, when there are so many other gaping holes in logic, lol.

Abandoned as a baby and forced to grow up way too fast on the streets, Kitten has learned to live and survive on her own, without losing her humanity. When she thinks the end has come, that she'll be dead soon she finds herself rescued/helped by a group of 8 men, whose bonds to one another are stronger than blood. Welcoming her into their home and, hearts, they find themselves eager to please her (well all but one - Jace is an idiot for a while).

With the 8 men Kitten finds something she never thought she would have - a home and family. But the mystery that surrounds who abandoned Kitten and who her parents are, put the future of her and the men she has come to adore in threat.

I do wish the author hadn't taken so long to bring the POVs of the 8 men, as that certainly helped ensure I continued reading. Before the other POVs came into play I was getting a little bored.

I have to say that the way in which Kitten accepted the men and being in their home, didn't work for me, it felt too far-fetched - after all she was just

Also, the age thing played out a little weirdly in this first book, I'm half way through the second book and things are clearer, in this first book there are

Despite being a reverse harem book, the steam level in this is super low - you'll have to wait for book 2 for things to really heat up.

This book ends on a cliff-hanger.

Overall, this was a nice light read in between doing lesson prep, and once finished I moved straight to book two via KU.

3 good start to the series

If you like RH but get a little tired and bored with how slow the romance seems to move sometimes then this book is right up your ally. The decision for the guys to only be with Kitten happened very quickly and she was very accepting of the situation. She barely even blinked an eye when she found out they were wolf shifters.

While I enjoyed how quick things moved I felt that Kitten's acceptance was fairly far fetched. This is a girl who grew up on the street and was recently attacked but "Hey! These 8 men are hot and are nice to me sooo....." I felt like she should have had some questions but she didn't really ever ask or pursue them.

Due to the guys being shifters and me having an understanding of mates I could understand how the guys came to the sharing conclusion as quickly as they did. Most of them were taken with her immediately and started changing some things around to accommodate her in their lives. Even though Jase was an ass in the beginning even he came around.

The book does end on a pretty big cliff hanger so I recommend reading them back to back. However, the second one also ends on a cliff hanger - not as big as the first book though.

Overall it was a quick RH read that moved quickly that interested me enough to continue to the second and eventually the third book.

Ok so I've read books where there h is shared among a few men, but never this many.

This was an interesting read. Seeing how she was shared among the 8 men. There was no favoritism among these men. This indeed was not erotica as it is sad in the genre taglines though (well I mean she is shared with 8 men, but nothing SUPER sexual really happened).

Her age really did throw me off a bit though. She has said herself that she is 16 I'm not too sure how old the other guys are, but somewhere around late teens or early 20s. It kind of bothered me that her age was never really a problem for them. I mean aren't they concerned that their woo-ing a minor?

Also she does seem kind of naive when it comes to some things. She was homeless for a while so you'd think she'd pick up a few skills. It's ok minor details, didn't bother me too much but it was just something that was lurking in the back of my mind.

This book is a cliffhanger though so be careful, but the second one comes out very soon.

🌟Brief Summary:
Kitten was left as a baby in a dumpster. She was saved by a crazy old lady that thought she was a cat…. Hence the name Kitten.

-She grew up up on the streets and had a lot of tough but character building experiences.

-One night she is attacked and finds help in the form of 8 wolf shifters who want to help her.

-But as things progress her past is discovered and it leads to love, heartbreak and a whole lots of self discovery & more danger.
Can this young lady change the course of wolf shifters forever?

‼️ Opinion‼️:
Wow ok… this was a super sweet, very odd, pretty freaking funny, innocent yet totally sexy read. It was very enjoyable and went to places I wasn’t expecting.

-Book 1 was a bit odd at first and definitely different in a good way. Kitten is street smarts to a degree, book smart to a degree and TOTALLY NAIVE AND INNOCENT in almost everything. Odd combination? Yes! But it worked and was very entertaining to read.

-At first I was like 🤔 then I was like 👀 then I was like 😂 then I was like 💗. So yeah that about sums up the first book for me.

-😬So Kitten isn’t sure how old she is. She thinks 16yr old. So while we know her harem is hundreds of years old it could come across as pervy. But I assure you she is 20yrs old and her men take things VERY SLOW and are extremely understanding and patient with her. They are so sweet and do everything in their power to make her happy and comfortable.

-This world requires you to suspend belief so if you just go with it eventually you just enjoy it for what it is… a not to be taken to seriously read.

-Book 2 & 3 are a bit more focused on the revelations we learn at the end of book 1. So while book 1 is all about building the relationship and bond, Kitten learning and experiencing new things, the other 2 books have more storyline.

-I love her men💕💗they really are so good with her. I love how they took her to new place and showed her new things. I just love how they treated her. In turn she really changes their lives into a life worth living again. And gives them all what they always wanted… true love and a mate.

-One thing I ABSOLUTELY ADORED was that we get all the good stuff about this relationship. The sweet small moment and gestures. The growth in their love. The pregnancy and birth of their kids and we get to see the kids as children and the harem as amazing dads. We get a good amount of this cause it’s worked into the story and I loved it❤️.

-The mate marks and bonds could have been explained and developed better. Why were they mates -how does it works- ext.

-Annoying- In book 2 we get her first BJ experience. Then in book 3 she says she has never given a BJ before and we basically had the exact same “first time”scene, thoughts and experience from book 2 but with a diff harem member. Annoying cause cohesion is important.

-Overall I enjoyed this series and took it for what is was. Fun, light and sugary sweet with a dash of drama and an an overall storyline.

Did. Not. Finish. Got to 37%

Again. Ok premise. But not realistically executed I don't think. Also WTF is it with authors using 16year olds? She could have easily been 18. A 16 year old with 8 guys is a bit much. Also the scene with Remy made me feel uncomfortable. He's supposed to be the eldest? Also these guys are like hundreds of years old (considering they live a really long time) AND she's a virgin so it's just a bit strange. The worst thing is, the author makes her seem younger than a 16 year old in the way she's portrayed. So it's even more gross and slightly peadophillic

Then there's the weirdest bit where there's just a page of each guys POV. Discussing who's going to take her virginity. :/ WHAT!?

"Kitten is gorgeous, prettier than me even. My fear was that having her here would tear my family apart. Wars have been fought for her kind of beauty, my brothers don't stand a chance. I won't deny for an instant that I don't want that tight little package as my own. " - what kind of bullshit is this? Like, does feminism even exist to this writer?

"Tight little package as my own". I'm literally VOMITING IN MY MOUTH HERE. This book is so inappropriate it's unbelievable.

I don't mind a good reverse Hareem. But, the fact that this is a VERY innocent girl, who is practically a child, is crazy. It seems like they are taking advantage of her.

On another note. The plot is so boring omg. Nothing happens! They go to get chicken wings, they go paint balling YAWN ffs. They're bloody werewolves for goodness sake!!!!

This is the worst characterization I've ever seen. As a former foster kid none of the things Kitten did make sense. I might be able to suspend disbelief and accept that the guys act weird cause they're werewolves but she was raised thinking she was human and every scientific study ever done on nature versus nurture has proven that it's a combination of both that forms the psyche for every creature ever studied. Human, wolf, bat it doesn't matter. All of them use both nature and nurture to form who they are. This explains why a kitten raised by dogs acts like a dog. The cat believes that it's a dog and while some things will stay as normal cat behavior a good deal of the time it is not like that. Kitten is unrealistic. The entire book is jacked up and if I could give it less than one star I would. I've read better fan-fiction than this.

Story about h w/ 8 H's. I liked all the MC though for story's sake 6 H's for me would of worked better. Easier to follow.

Story is told from different pov but a higher percentage from h. Not an erotic book. No sex scenes but there were a few hot foreplay scenes. Some parts dragged but I liked the story.

Don't ask me how I missed the last sentence in this books synopsis stating a "reverse harem". I went into the first half of it completely blind and expecting something along the lines of a girl being 'saved' by multiple guys and eventually chose one to date. Novels/Series that come to mind are: Seven Series By Dannika Dark & Supernatural Prison Series By Jaymin Eve.

The second half made me question Amazon's genre categories settings because this seemed to allude more to erotica than it did to paranormal romance. The heroine's exaggerated innocence (even though she's lived on the streets for at least 16 years) was very off putting and did nothing but make me roll my eyes. I still don't understand how eight immortal 100+ year old men are ok with and can stand a 16 year old girl. It's alluded to that she's probably a few years older, but it never gets confirmed or denied. Until it is the elephant in the room, to me, will always be the age of consent and possibly statutory rape.

Thank you SJ for recommending this series to me. This was a fantastic read. It is similar to The Ghost Bird series by C.L. Stone. Except instead of 9 guys, there are 8 guys after one girl and they are wolves?. The heroine, Kitten, was a strong character. I found that she has some of the same qualities as Sang from the Ghost bird. She is sweet and funny. I thought the guys were perfect. Just like Sang, I want all the guys for her. Right now my favourite guys are Finn and Tristan. However, I am always prone to change my mind. The story was intriguing. The ending was amazing. I can't wait to read book 2, Keeping My Pack. Overall, an amazing read.

Not going to lie, Kitty/Kitten/Whatever her name is annoyed me for most of this book.

Finding My Pack is about a girl who doesn't really know who she is. Since day one, she's been held captive. She doesn't know what love is or anything else really. She's constantly beaten and berated. So when she gets the chance to run away, she motherfucking sprints. I'm talking knees to chest bitch. She's gone.

Kitten was annoying for most of this book. I didn't really know her age until near the end of this? Either way, it definitely made the way she was acting a bit more realistic and acceptable. Yet, she still annoyed me to no end.

Other than that, I liked the guys but I just felt like.. if she acted childish.. they ended up doing it too? idk, it might be me, the wine, or all of the hallmark christmas movies I've been watching. I'll probably dive into the next book just because I hated the ending. I hate adam and her actual family. I feel like something isn't adding up and I need answers.

25% in and can’t bring myself to finish this. The fmc is so obnoxious that I can’t even enjoy this book. Also, the child like antics and behavior come off as weird/annoying instead of endearing if that’s what the author was trying to portray. It’s a no from me, sorry.
