Three technothrillers and science fiction/action & adventure thrillers by up-and-coming thriller author Nick Thacker! Almost 700 reviews on Amazon!

Now, read all three James Rollins-esque Kindle books by Nick Thacker!

This omnibus box set includes three standalone thrillers -- over 800 pages that are a great entry into Nick Thacker's other books. Combining sci/fi thrills with action/adventure, Thacker's books have been described as "National Treasure" meets "Indiana Jones" and "Jurassic Park" meets "Leviathan Wakes."

The Golden Crystal

In 1791, two men began planning the layout for the nation’s capitol city. One is shunned and resigns in disgrace, and the other is all but forgotten. Years later, an original copy of the plans–long thought to have been destroyed– is found, with hastily marked notations by Thomas Jefferson and George Washington.

During the second World War, American military scientists discover some fascinating properties of the hydrogen atom and its link to an ancient mystical number. The exact findings are never published, but a national laboratory is built in 1943 to further their research in covert silence. America is told it is a defense project, code-named ‘The Manhattan Project.’

An ego-maniacal entrepreneur and his company, Vilocorp, will stop at nothing to build the “perfect” human specimen. His firm’s research has been getting closer every day, but they seem to have uncovered a horrific, ancient secret that has been locked away for thousands of years.

Now, it’s up to Bryce to understand the mystery surrounding the events and ancient symbolism before Vilocorp unleashes a hellish fury upon the earth; one that hasn’t been seen for ages…

The Depths

Jen Adams, a research assistant, finds that her son has been kidnapped and her boss is brutally murdered, she and her computer programmer husband are thrown into a hunt to find out why.

The mystery takes her and a team of British Royal Marines and other scientists deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean -- to a forgotten research station buried under five miles of water in one of the deepest oceanic trenches on the planet. The station has been abandoned for over thirty years, and no one knows what to expect when they get there.

As they learn more about the station, however, they find out there's something the base is trying to hide -- something that could prove devastating for the rest of the world...

The Enigma Strain

When a bomb goes off at Yellowstone National Park, threatening the stability of the world's largest active volcano, the reclusive park ranger Harvey "Ben" Bennett is startled to realize that the blast itself wasn't the only threat: the bomb released a virus into the air, and the outbreak is beginning to infect and kill more and more people.

Ben teams up with Juliette Richardson, a driven CDC agent working inside the newly-formed BTR (Biological Threat Research) team, to find the people behind the act of terrorism.

Heart-thumping Intensity

This is my second read of The Enigma Strain and it was just as nerve-wracking as the first time around.

Nick Thacker's Harvey "Ben" Bennett character grows on you insidiously until you are hooked for life.

I'm noting to remember not to read this before bed, though, it leaves way too much adrenaline in my system.

Meh.

All 3 followed a similar path. Plots were ok, but predictable. I slogged through all three, but glad I got them for free. Sorry I can't be more positive but they don't grab me.

Kindle Unlimited actually have read Harvey Bennett Thrillers: Books 1-3 (Harvey Bennett Thrillers Box Set) which included The Enigma Strain along with The Amazon Code and The Ice Chasm, the first 2 which had gotten from freebie sites but read them in the set so could get all 3. Reading this set because don't have the other 2 but can't get the computer to pull them up right. He has short story out called Instincts which is part of a set by various writers under the title of Glimpse: A New World which originally picked up because it has story by Robert Scanlon as well.It was easier in this case to get the set so that wouldn't have to make the kindle for pc pull up multiple books, but enjoyed them as did the others.

For fans of James Rollins, Dan Brown, or Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child, these books are perfect!

This collection contains three great tecno-thrillers by Nick Thacker.
The Golden Crystal spans continents in a race to secure a mystical power source that could provide the "fuel" for a super-soldier project.
The Depths takes a research assistant and her computer programmer husband to a long abandoned base, deep beneath the ocean to find her kidnapped son, and maybe save the world.
The Enigma Strain features park warden Harvey "Ben" Bennett in a struggle to thwart a nefarious plan to plant a nuclear device in Yellowstone National Park and use the resulting explosion to distribute a virus which could wipe out much of the world's population.
Three great, edge of your seat stories with strong, engaging protagonists and science that's convincing.
A great collection for folks who are fans of Tom Clancy and Clive Cussler.

Pretty convincing Sci-fi

This is actually quite a good read. I don't usually read this genre but I did enjoy each of these stories. Thacker is able to create a place and storyline that is pretty believable and it is compelling to read. I could almost picture myself in each of the world's he has created and that is what makes it creditable.

Enjoyable trio

The set of three novels was well done and did not depend on each other. Each was enjoyable and the character development was detailed. I felt I knew the protagonist in each. Well worth the time in reading these books.

Good book!

Great imagination.especially the last story. At the same time I' m not sure giving the hair brained idiots running this beautiful round gift we live on another idea on how to eff it to pieces is wise? Theoretically or not. Great read though! Thanks

3.5 really

I personally would have liked to have some drawings to help me visualize the unusual setting for these tales. Page turners.

Good sci.fi stories, that were different and keep your interest. The author always has a different spin to his stories. Given audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

Very good set to introduce you to this author. The first and second books were my favorites of the set but The Enigma Strain (third book) was still pretty good. Each book is a separate story so it doesn't matter which order you read them. This was probably a 3.5 star award with the third book bringing it down from an easy four star review.

Excellent

The author keeps a person in suspense, seeking to read the next chapter to find out what is going on. Especially towards the end. A great trio of stories.

I was glad I picked this triad of books up for free, as I probably would have asked for my money back otherwise. Consisting of three books, The Enigma Strain (with a bonus few chapters of the next book in the series), The Atlantis Stone , and The Depths , the drastic need for an editor (or beta reader group) became apparent by the end of the collection. I’m almost a little disappointed that there were so many errors in proofreading and logic in these books since I would think they’d be cleaned up a bit from their first publications in order to be compiled together here.

While I did finish these three books, I can probably blame The Enigma Strain for that fact. The first book in this collection, The Enigma Strain was a passable thriller, even if it was a little cliché and stereotypical. I was vastly more disappointed in The Atlantis Stone, which hardly made any coherent sense. With so many ill-defined characters running around, trying to meet an arbitrary deadline, it was painful to read. I hoped The Atlantis Stone was a fluke when I started The Depths, but its scientific continuity errors confirmed that the best book in this collection was the first one, and it all went downhill from there.

Some of the ideas presented in these books seem interesting at first blush, but they’re muddled down in so many other unnecessary things that the plots generally devolve into a race against the clock. Perhaps with some additional research, attention to detail, and revisions, these books could be pretty good. As they are now, they seem thrown together to earn a few bucks from people who throw money at any thriller with a somewhat intriguing cover and title. I’m just glad the only thing I wasted was my time.

Three books that still need some work done on them, I give Killer Thrillers 2.0 stars out of 5.
