Loved this mate story. Can't wait for the next one.

Janna walks into town with two kids in tow. She is part shifter but has never shifted before and fights her wolf. Garrett is the pack alpha who immediately knows Janna is his true mate. He's very possessive of her. Janna doesn't understand that he is her mate since she fights her wolf so she resists just a little. I actually liked Janna a lot. She gives it back to Garrett as much as she can. I do wish it was a little longer and I'm looking forward to the next one. Marcus and Roxy? Or Hunter and Leda? Anxiously awaiting....

3.5 stars. I enjoyed this. I love the hero. He was sweet and all alpha! Even though at times herione was frustrating me I loved her too. I'm interesting in reading more. I loved Sam. he was too cute! Hunter I'm not sure ,he seems a bit like a player but he was funny. This was too short had it been longer I would of rated it higher.

safety:neither were virgins. herione had sex once. .. hero says he had his share of women but he didn't seem like a manwhore.
There is OW who thinks she wants to be with hero. He saved her from an abusive ex. She gets into his house and cooks a romantic dinner. Hero and herione walk in. hero was mad told her to leave. herione at first was a bit jealous but quickly felt sorry for her. Hero has never slept with her or given any reason to think he wants to. I think she will be his brothers mate. No ow or OM drama. I would say this is safe.

Another fabulous quick sexy read! I was crazy wild for the wolf Garrett. All I was thinking was oh yeah girl let out the beast. There was something about Garrett that made me want to howl. Only wish it would have been a longer story to enjoy more of him. Great quick read!

Janna Lawson hobbles into town with two young people in tow, looking for the Alpha of the pack. She doesn't realize the man she is looking for is no longer Alpha and finds herself answering questions to Alpha Garrett Foster. Garrett knows Janna is his mate but he wants answers. Answers she gives but she has no plan on staying and putting his pack in danger. Now Garrett has to prepare for the threat coming and convince Janna to stay and embrace the wolf inside her.

This was really entertaining. A one sit read that had me anxious to get to the next page. Had this for awhile and should have read long ago. Highly entertaining.

Great shifter writing. Just too short to allow for any depth and that's a shame. I would love to have explored the dynamics with this couple more.

Review for Teresa Gableman's Forbidden Hunger
Received a copy for a honest review

I love me some Teresa Vampires soooo of course i will stoked to read some shifter stuff from her.

This book is a great look at how amazing Teresa writes for any paranormal person. You can see her style. Her alpha males are strong but her kick butt females are anything but weak.

So this book is about Janna who is a shifter who has never shifted because she has no clue about her other half. She is looking for a man who may have some answers for her. She and 2 other shifters stumble into the town when she is met by Garrett Foster...RAWR LADIES!! Garrett and Jenna fight each other every step of the way but both are drawn to the others inner wolf.

The story is a great, quick read. The fighting is awesome. The loving is HAWT annnnd the humor is a riot. I hope she writes more from this town of shifters. I want to see Marcus get his HEA and I am dying to know who will change Hunter into a one woman man.

Janna is a shifter wolf who thought she was human. She’s on the run after her mother’s murder and goes to find her absent father and his pack. Garrett is the alpha of the pack who knows Janna is his as soon as he sees her.

I don’t really read shifter ware wolf books, it’s not really my thing but I’ve read a couple of shifter bear books so I thought i would give it a try.

This was an ok read. It was a big case of instalove from the get go. I don’t know how much I connected with either character. The sex scenes were just ok and there weren’t very many.

Not sure about the rest of the series. Nothing really hooked me in. There was no sense of an over-arching storyline emerging.

*WARNING* story contains explicit sexual content
Well written, well edited. The brothers are excellent characters. This series is a little different in that it's unheard of to have a human mate, so that's a nice change. I think my favorite part was how Janna, being have human and half shifter, didn't immediately fall for the "love at first sight" thing. Janna's human side rebelled and that made it a little more realistic for me.

Please note this review may contain spoilers.

Janna is the daughter of a human mother and wolf-shifter father, virtually unheard of in the shifter world. She has kept her wolf on such a short leash that no-one even detects what she is, until she limps into Lee County to find her father, Jonah, alpha of the Lee County Wolves to tell him that her mother is dead. But her father is a drunk and no longer the alpha; Garrett is and he knows exactly what she is as soon as she steps into his territory. Her wolf calls to his and his to hers. They are mates, a statement that confuses Janna as she knows absolutely nothing of their world. But the shifter that killed Janna's mother is out for revenge and will stop at nothing in his quest to make Jonah suffer.

FORBIDDEN HUNGER is a quick and enjoyable read, although I'll be honest, I don't understand the title given that Janna and Garrett are both shifters, so their mating isn't forbidden. I liked Janna; she was strong and was always putting others before herself. I liked Garrett, but sometimes he would say things that tried to be dominant, but rubbed me up the wrong way. I know that this is a novella, but I think the story could have been fleshed out a little more. I would have liked reading more about Janna and her father working out their relationship, and the attack at the end by Jonah's enemy was over very quickly. Despite the story moving at a fast pace, I enjoyed it and would read more books in this series.

Ok, this is really a novella and you can read it in about an hour and a half. Its a good shifter story. I love a love-at-first-sight trope so this was right up my alley. The characters were likable and even though the book was short, it was engaging.
So, I didn't give it 5 stars because it felt so rushed. I wanted to know more about the characters and plot but you just don't get it. I'm sure there will be more books (maybe this will be a series?) so hopefully those questions will be addressed.

Untuk ukuran novella buku ini tidak mengecewakan.
H/H dg karakter yg kuat penuh chemistry dan konflik yg walaupun singkat tp bisa memperkuat cerita. Serta penulisan karakter2 yg kocak g bakalan bikin bosen.

What I liked best about this book were the characters and their distinct personalities. The writing flowed nicely, and the reader easily gets pulled into the book. The plot was simple but enjoyable, and the ending was predictable given the set up. The author left the door open for various characters to have their own story in the series, and I expect those will be enjoyable reads.

What I didn’t like was the author not explaining the one character’s use of telepathy. This was out of the blue, as if the author placed it there as a convenient way to solve a problem. If there is going to be telepathy involving the heroine, then one would expect it to be with her mate or blood relatives, not a person she barely knows. There was no explanation or mention of this device elsewhere, how it was possible, if it was possible for all shifters or select ones, or between family lines, etc. Perhaps this was an attempt to establish the use of telepathy for an upcoming book in the series, but it was out of place here, and left me asking questions that should have been resolved by the end of this stand-alone book.

Another aspect I didn’t like in what I thought was an otherwise smart/cautious heroine was the often-used ‘let’s ignore the male’s advice and instead trust that the bad-guy will live up to his word.’ I understand/applaud a heroine’s need for independence, especially in a male-dominated alpha-themed book, but when the heroine is not a fighter and has no real experience fighting, why does she feel she should blatantly ignore the seasoned fighter and take matters into her own hands and still expect to survive? It seems like the author fell into the trap of how to put the heroine in danger so the hero would have his chance to rescue her. I think the author can do better than that.

Overall, this was an enjoyable, easy read, with very likeable characters that have interesting stories. For anyone who is concerned with a book’s editing, this book had a few minor errors that did not pull the reader out of the story. I will read more of the author and the series.

Although Forbidden Hunger is a rather short story, it certainly packs a powerful punch. Janna is on a mission. To find one man, one coward of a man and pass on a message from her dead mother… and to give the jerk a very large piece of her angry mind. She didn’t really see what would happen beyond that moment. What she got was a lot more than she expected.

Garrett wasn’t expecting this tiny woman to floor him as much as she did. His mate, and here with vengeance in her eyes and anger in her heart… and danger on her trail. Somehow he’d have to get this little she-wolf to let him in, to allow her wolf the freedom she needs and to stay to make his life complete. Right after he tears apart the danger that’s after her, and his pack.

I enjoyed this world. Yes, it’s short,, but it’s a solid story with very interesting characters. We’ll be seeing them again in the rest of the series. Garrett and Janna are two proud, stubborn people who have a connection that cannot be denied. Hot and sexy, sincere and seductive. These two are one hot headed couple and I liked them both very much.

Looking for a quick read? Then check out Forbidden Hunger and the rest of this series. Likable characters, sexy moments, touches of danger and definitely characters you’ll want to learn more about. I’d recommend this one for any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader. They may have been out for a while now, but I enjoyed my time in this world. Stories don’t grow old, they still hold their passion for years beyond publication dates. Now I’m off to pick up Forbidden Seduction, the next one in this series.

I read this title through my Kindle Unlimited subscription. Best ten bucks I spend each month.

Having just finished the Protectors series by Teresa Gableman I pounced on this spin-off series (no pun intended) about the wolf pack that Hunter calls home.

Even though not very much actually happened in this book it was still a very enjoyable quick read. I think that this book focused a lot more on introducing the characters and world building, than it did on plot. I don't think that this is a bad thing. You get a really clear image of this being a very small town where everyone knows each other and is a close knit community, as well as getting to know what the dynamic is between characters. There is a very similar vibe and set up to the VC Warriors in the Protectors books, with some differences in terms of the way that the wolves like to do things. This book has that same sense of humour that you get from the Warriors, that makes you connect with the characters, as well as help carry the story and make it engaging.

I really liked see the different personalities of the Foster brothers. I loved Hunter's character in the Protectors book and that didn't change once he was home with his family. I'm intrigued by Marcus, and think that there is more too him than meets the eye, so can't wait to find out more about him. I liked Garrett's; how he was very much the alpha and one in charge, without coming across as overbearing. I also like the relationship between him and Janna and the way that it developed. I really like Janna and think that she has a great personality. I can't wait to see more of these two together. I also think that little Sam is going to provide plenty of entertainment in future books.

A great quick read, that fans of the Protectors series will love.

Injured with two young shifters in tow, pack-less half shifter Jenna Lawson finally makes it to Beattyville, trying to find her mother’s ‘acquaintance’. Though Alpha Garrett Foster is the wolf in Janna’s way at the moment, the tingles he felt when they touch said pretty Jenna is all kinds of trouble. For him and every male wolf in the pack.

In moments, Jenna’s story is told and it takes less than that for Garrett to know three things. First, the acquaintance she’s looking for is actually the father she never knew. Second, danger is following her to Lee County. Third and most importantly, Jenna is his mate and no one will ever take her away from him.

Alpha Jasper Simone encourages reaping for his pack, allowing his wolves to hunt and kill humans. Jenna’s aware the ‘brand’ that was put on her when her mother was murdered means trouble but she’s adamant Garrett or his pack not suffer on her behalf. Jasper’s determined to kill Jenna and her father, challenging Garrett and his pack to do it.

It was an alright short story with some touching moments with Sam (6) and his teenage sister Lada who Janna found on her way to find the man her mother protected since she was born. Sam stutters and him and his sister clams up about where their parents are, they are also wolf shifters but they must have seen something terrible happen to their parents. They cling to Janna after only 3 days of knowing each other and little Sam treats Janna as a moth figure. And when Jonah figured out who Janna is to him and his response after the shock.
There are laughs here and their especially with the brothers fighting and water throwing and pond tossing. The danger wasn’t really that big of danger but her mother’s murder, the carvings was avenged.

So good

I love Teresa Gableman her books are always engaging and keep you wanting to know more. I love me a hot Alpha man and Garrett doesn't disappoint . When he meets his mate Janna his wolf practically jumps for joy , only Janna isn't impressed with his dominant ways and defys him at every turn . Soon Garrett where's her down and she finally accepts what deep in her heart she already knew however danger comes knocking and soon all hell breaks loose. Janna has never shifted afraid she will hurt someone do kept her wolf under tight wraps until tragedy strikes and her wolf is the only one that can save her. I enjoyed this story and look forward to reading the next book in this series 😊.

Book 1 in the Lee County wolves series, a spinoff from The Protector series, followed by Forbidden Seduction. A story about Garrett Foster, the Alpha of the Lee County wolves, and Janna, a halfbreed (part wolf and part human). Janna walks into Garret's town in search of her estranged father, Jonah, who left her mother in hope to save her from his enemies. It did not work and she was murdered and Janna was marked to be a participant in the "reaping" a forbidden "game" where humans are chased and hunted by the wolves. A quick story, but fun.

Forbidden Hunger : Lee County Wolves Series, Book 1 was a excellent shifter I found this story emotionally touching. Janna Laason goes searching to find a shifter her mother died trting to protect as her Moms final wish . Her search found her in a shifter community into Garret Foster the alpha and into feelings she didnt understand . The people who killed her mother are coming for her and she has to come to terms with all that is happening but mostly a forbidden hunger she hadnt expected. I loved this story and it was excellently performed.

Good but short

I liked the writing style as well as the story itself but it was so short. It almost felt like reading a novella. The story could have truly been more spread out where we get much more background on the characters. For example, other than Garett being alpha, I could not name one other thing the story told us about him. That’s and from start to climax, the story took place in what maybe a 24 hour period? And there was I love yours thrown in there? I just wished for a longer more detailed version of the same story.

annoying lead

Spoilers. Janna drove me nuts, I only finished the book bc I have read others of the author. There also was very little to no effort to teach her about being a wolf, so the ending didn't really come together that she could shift fine on the first try, not to mention instead of talking to the wolves that know what they are doing running off as a human with no idea if you can shift is beyond dumb, and of course the guy that murdered your mom would keep his word, I mean really.
