Another disappointing read that I really think could’ve turned out differently with a stronger storyline and better development. The Message from Kee gave me a certain vibe that just wasn’t present here. I’m usually on board with Cyn’s MMCs, but this one never really came to fruition for me. The writing also felt forced at times, which made some moments come across cringey, and overall the story felt boring, patchy, and underdeveloped. I wish I could say I saw what the author was going for here, but I honestly didn’t. Unfortunately, this one just didn’t come together for me at all.

Keegan was a lot, but in a good way. Once he set his sights on Chyna, that was all she wrote. He would make sure that she was his, one way or another. There were many laugh out loud moments, while shaking my head at Keegan's shenanigans. I also enjoyed the toddler banter with KJ and Liam. Those boys were something else! 🤣 Cute instalove story. 👍🏿👍🏿

this was a quick read tht was enjoyable. it followed chyna & keegan (her boss). he always had a soft spot for her & when a situation presents itself he takes the opportunity to be her knight in shining armour literally. he couldn’t hold back his feelings & things progress from there.
the dynamic between kj & liam was so cute & i loved the way they all got on. there was not rly much drama & the love n feelings shown between them was beautiful to read!

That first sample Is normally the best sample. The children always know before the adults. Passive thoughts and movement will always give you positive results.
Palette cleanser, intentional and pure love.
Keegan said enough is enough. He’s been patient enough. When that opportunity presented itself he made his next move the best one.
Chyna just wanted a break in life. One thing she didn’t expect was the upgrade to her life.
Like always, kids say that darnest things. You never know what they going to say.
Liam & KJ stole the show in my opinion. One thing for sure they played a major factor and didn’t know it.

Cute
When I saw the message in the beginning of the book from one of the characters, I knew I was in for a good time, and I was right. This is a real quick read, and the author lets you know up front this is an instalove romance, so if that's not your jam, you won't like this one. Keegan falls for Chyna in what appears to be the blink of an eye, even though it's really not because they've been working together for years. His feelings seem instant because the reader doesn't get to see the established relationship beforehand. Keegan and Chyna were really cute together, but what made me completely love this story were his and Chyna's interactions with the boys. I love a found family, and the boys were complete cuties.

Keegan is touched in the head....a statement he wouldn't disagree with. When Keegan presented that PowerPoint on why they should get married I almost lost it. He was such a simp for Doll.
This is the kind of bully romance I enjoy and would have loved to be longer and more developed.

I enjoyed this limited contact love story. Also it was a close proximity story. When Keegan realized he needed to claim Chyna as his, their proximity helped his cause... It's a good read.

(3.5🌟) Just like the author said in her note, this is an instalove, quick and to the point story. I will say that it felt like we were dropped into a story that was already in progress. Keegan and Chyna already had well-established routines, inside jokes, interactions, and a rapport that the reader doesn’t necessarily get to see develop. I think that’s one of the trade-offs of an intentionally quick romance, but it did leave me wanting a little more of their relationship.
Keegan made me giggle a couple of times because that man isn’t right in the head. 😂 But I loved the way he showed up for his Chyna Doll and the children. They also had such an easygoing chemistry that, if we had double the amount of pages, I would have loved to see either the front end of their relationship or more of how people reacted to them being together.
Either way, the story accomplished what it set out to do. It was good for some laughs, a bit of spice, and something quick that you can devour in a sitting.

This was such a fun read for me! First of all, I LOVE KEEGAN. Let me just get that out the way. 😂 I love me some Keegan! That man reminds me of a baby Menace. If you know, you KNOW! He was absolutely hilarious—like, completely unhinged, and I was here for every bit of it.
And Chyna? I liked Chyna too. The ONLY thing that was getting on my nerves was all her back-and-forth. Girl…you are dealing with an unhinged man who is clearly crazy about you, so at this point, just go ahead and say YES! 😂
Because let’s really talk about it. You mean to tell me this man went from your employee, to your boss, to your friend over the course of THREE YEARS? You already know this man! He knows everything about you, and he has made it very clear how he feels. Ma’am, PLEASE get with the program! 😂
But the REAL stars of this book were Liam and KJ! Listen, I absolutely LOVE when an author writes a good toddler character who becomes the comedic relief. Because you already have Keegan saying the most outlandish things, and then these two little boys come right behind him, basically co-signing everything he says without even realizing they’re doing it! 😂
And when Keegan told those boys to go into Ninja Turtle mode???!!!

A force....
Ms. Cyn Kindle did it again. It kept recommending this book. I was drawn to it like a moth to a flame. It was 100% correct because this novella is a masterpiece. Keegan was mostly definitely a force to be reckoned with. When the MMC leads with talking about how toxic he is, that surely is a sign. Most people would deny their toxic traits. Keegan's love for Chyna ran deep. You can tell with how he handled the apartment situation. Now I have to say it. Three year old KJ and Liam were hilarious to me. It just amazes me how kids view life. Keegan took the role of fatherhood seriously for both boys. He got his own set of Irish twins now.
This book is a true masterpiece and gem. The family dynamic that Keegan and Chyna built was unbreakable. The bond the boys had sealed the deal. Keegan made sure to lock down his family using a tight grip. He raised all the kids the same. Everyone is going to be a problem. Ladies and gents, this read is short but packs a punch. You will love the relationship between Keegan and Chyna. I highly recommend it, so grab your copy today.

This reads closer to cute than unhinged
Keegan and Chyna’s story was cute and easy to read, and I finished it about as quickly as the last book. They had known each other for years through their sons, who became fast friends at the company daycare, so by the time Keegan finally decided to make his move, there was already history between them.
Everything moves fast from there, but honestly, I could go with it because they had already been circling each other for years. Once Keegan decides he is done waiting, the story pretty much races toward happily ever after.
My biggest issue is the same one I had with the previous book: I do not think this author and I have the same definition of “unhinged.” Keegan is protective, possessive, and very sure about what he wants, but none of it felt especially wild to me. Maybe I have just read too much, but I kept waiting for the level of chaos the opening note seemed to promise, and it never really came.
There was nothing wrong with the story. It was sweet, fast-paced, and entertaining. I just think the “unhinged” label keeps setting an expectation that the books are not actually meeting.

Enjoyed This Ride
After the authors note I wasn't prepared to genuinely like this book and these characters, especially Keegan, as much as I did. That man tickled me page after page. And while his mouth was so reckless it was done so humorously that I literally laughed out loud page after page. This was a predictable short story but one that still kept me engaged. From the MMC to the kids, these characters were a good time. The FMC was unproblematic and likeable as well. Overall, I really enjoyed the read but a couple things that kept this from being a 5-Star read for me includes KJ's mom's name first being Teena, then it becomes Stephanie. Then realizing that Keegan is actually in his 40's acting like he acted was a bit of a turn-off, then finally the epilouge being 10 years later. While I am a fan of a future focused epilouge, 10 years later when the MMC is now "over 50" but still acting that was was less funny. I wish the author had left some ambiguity to those details. Nonetheless, it was an enjoyable quick raad.

Nothing Without You
Nothing Without You had me invested in the story and the connection between the characters from beginning to end.
What I loved most was the emotional depth. This wasn’t just about attraction or romance—it was about love, vulnerability, connection, and realizing just how much another person can mean to you. There were moments that had me smiling, moments that had me in my feelings, and definitely moments where I wanted to reach through the pages and talk to the characters!
The chemistry was EVERYTHING, but the emotional connection is what really stood out to me. Cyn did a great job creating characters who felt real and relationships that felt complicated, passionate, and genuine.
I also appreciated the way the story kept me wanting to know what would happen next. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to put it down because I needed to see how everything would unfold.

Keegan and Chyna!!
Keegan might have been Chyna's boss, but it wasn't long before they were in each other's space because their children were best friends. Keegan was a bully to everyone except for Chyna. She was the only one who got a smile or laugh out of him (swoon). The one thing about a Cyn book is that the MMC will have me cracking up with his crashouts, and this book didn't disappoint. From the pipe and mini golf place to the PowerPoint presentation and the kids, I was literally laughing out loud. There were several tropes in this book that truly entertained me - workplace romance, friends to lovers and a bit of grumpy/sunshine. Cyn did her thing with this book and I highly recommend that you 1 Click as soon as possible.

This was a fast paced love story, but still a love that grew over time. Being single parents and working together is what presented the opportunity, but the connection between Chyna and Keegan is what blossomed the friendship.

Keegan is a bully and a comedian in his own right. He’s not above arguing with toddlers and he does just that! I cackled all the way through this story. Liam and KJ are two smart toddlers and they have no issue challenging Keegan and pushing every last button. 😂
Keegan is all gas, no breaks when it comes to woman and Chyna Doll learns that fast!

Any book that makes me laugh before the story even starts has my attention, and this one had me cracking up from the very first page.
Keegan Slater opens the book with his own little warning about what readers should expect, and trust me, he was not playing with us 😂. That preface sets the tone perfectly, because Keegan is exactly who he says he is from start to finish.
Once the story gets going, Cyn delivers a love story that unfolds naturally, with the perfect mix of humour, romance and spice ❤️🔥. I loved watching everything come together, and the laughs never took away from the heart of the story.

I seen this book promoting on social media and ran to download it!!!…I was not ready for the shenanigans that would unfold in this book!!!…
Keegan was a whole, serious fool through the whole book!!!…He played no games about his Doll, Miss Chyna!!!…
I loved their chemistry and I love how straight forward he was and she didn’t try to shut down all that personality he pulled with him!!!…
I loved myself into tears and that proposal was everything!!!…He pulled out the screen to show that he was serious and worthy to be her husband and her his wife!!!…
Sprinkle in the children and you had a fun house!!!…

Listen….Keegan throwed off but I love him!!😂😂 Anyway, he steps in and offers Chyna and her son Liam a place to stay when her house is flooded. Chyna thinks this is a temporary housing but Keegan has no plans to let her and Liam leave his home. Their permanent place is with him and his son KJ. That man is down bad behind that woman and it’s past time that she caught up. She catches up and the fire between them just spreads. This short story was hella hilarious, sweet, sensual and downright crazy. I loved every bit of it.

Keegan out here giving big Menace Caselli type energy. He's mean and rude and bossy and don't play about his! This man spent 3 years low key (and unconsciously) courting Chyna while building a friendship with her and loving on her and her son. This is a story about how a burst pipe in a bathroom presented two single parents with the perfect opportunity to finally choose each other and work on their HEA. Shout out to KJ and Liam for being Daddy's wingmen every time!

Keegan had me laughing the entire time, even when he was trying his hardest to be serious! 😂 That man is something else. Chyna already knew this man was crazy about her, and honestly, the chemistry between them made it obvious.

This Is More Than A Crush!
This story was fast paced but sooooo good. Cynnnnnnn girl this was funny, cute, sweet, and loving. Keegan and Chyna’s story was too cute, their kids, the way they just clicked and meshed was perfect and they’re hilarious. This story was fast paced but sooooo good. Cynnnnnnn girl this was funny, cute, sweet, and loving. Keegan and Chyna’s story was too cute, their kids, the way they just clicked and meshed was perfect and they’re hilarious. If it’s one thing I do know it’s Cyn is not wrapped to tight which is why her MMCs aren’t either. I laughed so many times reading this book and couldn’t stop on more than one occasion. This book was cute and short but it packed a punch so it is possible to write a good story in just a few pages! If you enjoy love. A man who knows what he wants and goes for it and lastly says the most outlandish ish….Then I suggest you read this book!

Great Read
I really enjoyed this story! It had me cracking up, especially at the beginning when Keegan gave his little warning about reading the book and what to expect. 😂 He definitely wasn’t playing with us!
Nonetheless, this was such a great love story. I enjoyed watching everything unfold, and it had the perfect mix of humor, romance, and spice. ❤️🔥

🤣😂The laughter I didn’t realize I needed. Yet, I appreciated the Slater shenanigans. Thereafter, “Nothing Without You” (4.50 ⭐️’s) was the ideal Saturday evening rom-com entertainment. Meanwhile, this family & their extended relatives each earned the rites to continue their story with a novella series & Chyna & Keegan updates. …I adore a man 🤓with a plan & visuals too 👀🤩😍🤭‼️

Listen Keegan did not play when it came to Chyna. From the pipes bursting in Chyna’s place, to her child’s father, Keegan always went toe to toe. Then the fact that both of them had son’s was a plus because their son’s already got along. So the way love traveled to them, just worked out perfectly. While the book was a quick read, there still was no rushing on this read and everything flowed together!

Keegan was crazy and hilarious. Chyna didn’t know what she was getting herself into with Keegan. The story was funny and cutesy all wrapped up with one couple with no filter sons. My favorite part of the story is when one of the boys said the grandpa was 100 years old. I was laughing so hard because kiddos really have no filter and it was harmless. I really enjoyed this story.

You know when a book is good when your sitting in a crowd and you keel over laughing and tear up while people smile an stare at you. Every time I read KJ & Liam responses rather it was parroting curse words or trying to describe their understanding or feelings, I lost it. Keegan is 200% crazy 😂 for hitting Mr. Chang with the pipe. I wish I could’ve given you 10 stars. Definitely a reading I would recommend.
